Evra: I love this club

Patrice Evra signed a new deal with United after offers from top clubs all around Europe came in for him.

Evra has revealed that it is his feeling for the club that kept him around.

“It was an important decision for myself. I love this club, everyone knows that,” Evra told the official site. “I had a good meeting with Sir Alex and I talked to my family. I decided to follow my heart and my heart told me to stay here.”

The players are United are winners, so it’s not strange for any of them to be looking to the next challenge. Before even being awarded the trophy in Moscow, Ryan Giggs was telling the players that they had to focus on being in the European Cup final the next season too. Evra has claimed he is already looking to our next trophy, after winning a record 19th title last month.

“I’m already focused on next season and winning the league again. Some people say to me: ‘Pat you’re like a robot – you have to enjoy the moment more.’ Sometimes I have the feeling that I haven’t enjoyed the moment, but I’m like that, I want to move on to the next challenge and enjoy it all when I have finished.”

  1. Raizzen says:

I dunno man. We love the club. And if the players that play on the pitch living our dreams for us love it too, clearly you’re not required to do so, but when they love this club as much as we do – it just brings me to tears.

Its an honor Pat, it really is. Long you may be a United legend.

  2. Costas says:

I can’t imagine Pat as a robot to be honest. In terms of conditioning he definitely is, but he is also a clown off the pitch. :P

  3. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Everytime I imagine Pat and Rio in that dressing room, I can’t stop laughing. Must be one hell of a time in there with those two guys.

Anyways, I always say that when certain people say they “love” United, it is hard not believe them. Although people like Rooney and Ronaldo have turned even the most naive of us into cynics, you just have to take certain people into your confidence when it comes to loving United as much as you do. Evra is one of them and so is Berbatov.

It is even more amazing that these players love the club as much as we do because they are foreigners. It is not the same case as Gary or Becks or Scholesy loving the club.

Long may they stay at United and add to our trophy haul.

  4. sachu says:

i love you too evra and dont ever think aboutleaving

  5. WHAT ??? says:

Liked Evra ever since Heinze was here. He was clumsy when he first came but there was something about his game I admired, he had loads of potential. Now look, his standards are so high that people actually reckon he had a poor season this year, only by his own flipping standards mate. Evra for me is still best Left Back in the World, and with a whole Summer to get the WC out of his system (bloody French) he’ll be back to his best next Season. Nice touch seeing him call over Thomas to make sure he got to hold up the19th Cup during the celebrations. Sums him up, top Bloke.

  6. Sir Shaggsy says:

We need to see you back to top form Pat – you were not your usual brilliant self last year.
Let`s hope now that your off-period was due to the World Cup shenanigans. There are a couple of exceptional little Brazilians after your place so you better do the business – Let your performances show how much we should love you back.

  7. CedarsDevil says:

Top bloke and top player, always making the right noises… Always love his digs at Arsenal…

But beware Pat, you have to stay on your toes buddy as there is a certain young curly haired Brazilian after your job!

  8. Rossythered says:

we need a song for pat……..

  9. Ash says:

He deserves one more championleague winner’s medal .He is a class act.Lovely fellow.

  10. gerkeo says:

Evra gives great interviews and makes all the right noises (except the fifa vrs ireland replay BS) but he didnt play well last season, not to the standard we are used to from him anyway. I rekon if he doesnt improve he might be second choice by christmas.

  11. BerbaGod says:

Always nice to hear from Pat – he does always seem to say the right thing alot of the time. Just need him to get back on that form he had before that joke that was the French at the World Cup. With a good pre-season behind him can’t see him not getting back on form and if he doesn’t his place will most definitely be up for grabs.

@ Cedars and gerkeo – Yeah Fabio will be chomping at the bit next season, also Jonny Evans will be putting his name in the hat for the left-back slot too and we can’t forget about Sheasy – he’s still with us.

  12. T4M says:

  13. CedarsDevil says:

    BerbaGod

Well said regarding Sheasy I sincerely hope he stays…. Plays in almost every position on the field including goal keeper (Remember at Spurs?) and who can forget his winner at Anfield when we were playing with 10 men? Love the guy

  14. BerbaGod says:

@ Cedars – How could I forget when he went in goal against the Spurs! Made a quality save from Robbie Keane and then we chanted “Ireland’s number one” in his honour! And I’ll always remember when he scored that last minute against the Scousers at Anfield. I have a few fond memories of Sheasy myself including that nutmeg against Luis Figo – legend and also that chip over Almunia when we beat them 4-2 at Highbury. Indeed absolutely love the guy – fan’s favourite for sure.

  15. ethiored says:

@Berbagod, I dont think Evans is good enough for the left back role he has no pace for staters and he lacks the basic technique. I remember the goal we conceeded against Blackburn on the day we wrapped up the title. He was ball watching. This may be harsh but I dont think he should be anywhere near our frist team

  16. CedarsDevil says:

    BerbaGod

Fantastic memories my friend, that chip at Highbury and Cantona like celebration was a classic…

JOS may not play every match but is a vital squad player and yes I would go as far as calling him a legend

  17. BerbaGod says:

@ ethiored – Harsh indeed. Evan’s first position is centre-back no doubts about that. If you go back a year ago I think any of us would’ve felt confident in Jonny playing alongside Rio or Vida, he had a bit of second season syndrome where his performances weren’t up to scratch, but I think he had a strong end to the season. He’s versatile so it gives us the option to play him a left back if need be. We don’t know how Smalling will cope in his second season – he may get the syndrome too (fingers crossed he doesn’t but you wouldn’t bet against it). He’s a quality defender (defender being the key word) he’s young and will become even better with time. I wouldn’t write him off for sure…

  18. gerkeo says:

@CedarsDevil: GNev said in an interview after the anfield match that he told O’Shea that he just achieved his boyhood fantasy, scoring the winner into the kop end at the death.

O’Shea sums up the united team perfectly, other teams have stars but its the guys behind them who make them winners. O’Shea will put in a solid shift, rarely lets you down and never once have i heard him bitch or whinge. a true team player. Dont go johnno. the superstar of unsung heroes.

  19. CedarsDevil says:

    gerkeo

Well said buddy, truly well said

  20. willierednut says:

    @T4M says, …

    Totally agree.

  21. Fred says:

Pat is a very important part of the squad, not just as an excellent player, but for team spirit and camaraderie. Don’t underestimate the importance of this.

  22. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

    Thought the same! hahahaha

  23. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred

Well said re Pat, it was obvious to see during the celebrations when we got number 19 how focal he was….. The players seem to love him….. Don’t we all?

  24. willierednut says:

    @T4M

    ,,,, >>>> do you agree?

  25. CedarsDevil says:

I hope Costas is well, I could swear that I spotted a protester in Athens today wearing a United shirt

  26. CedarsDevil says:

RedNev, Ginger Prince have gone, Phil Neville, Beckham and Butt sold…. Giggs surely to retire next season….

The class of 92 have given so much to our success over the years, they have had a huge part to play in making United the club that it is today….

Good luck to all of you and God bless you

  27. sachu says:

patrice evra has to be one of the best left backs ever for us
after dennis irwin perhaps he is the best

  28. sachu says:

manchester united team without scholes and giggs will be hard to imagine
but new heroes will emerge to take the club to even bigger achievements

  29. willierednut says:

    carBANGgrick –

  30. WHAT ??? says:

@ sachu – Dennis Irwin is the best Left Back I’ve ever seen (wasn’t bad with a dead ball either) But Evra’s not too far behind, which says a lot, I reckon after a few more seasons he’ll match the great Irishman.

  31. sachu says:

    @carbangrick
first of all you are a pile of shit
has michael carrick fucked your wife or mom
    shut up you motherfucking bastard
    carrick is not going anywhere
he has been a fab player for us
and if you realy are a united fan then dont talk like that again you moron

  32. Rai says:

CarBANGrick – Every single post of yours is a pile of shit. Everyone thinks it so why not just fuck off?

  33. Jeet says:

@Willie and others – just ignore the cunt, that’s the best way to deal with them…

  34. james says:

Pat has been great for United and he deserved the spot over Heinze all those years ago……….

but I have to say that I feel he was at fault for two of the goals in the Champs League final. He drifted across far too much allowing that left flank to be utilised by Barca.

I’d still bum him, no question.

  35. Aig alex is god says:

Sanchez will cost 30mn plus. Barca are keen but English clubs have a good chance

  36. Jeet says:

Aig!!! Sanchex and aig – trawlers and seagulls (kidding mate, just couldnt resist it – no offence!!) :D
How have you been mate? Good to have you back…

  37. Aig alex is god says:

    @Jeet

hi mate. Doing good. How are you??

Busy due to studies so dont get much time

  38. dannysoya says:

I hear we might go in for Sanchez. so does this mean anything for Nani? i really don’t want Nani going anywhere. It’ll be sad however it will be excellent if we got sanchez. caught in two minds.

  39. dannysoya says:

i also hear Gibbo, brown and o’shea are off to sunderland. Just when O’shea was getting better at RB. i will miss him and his big game presence. he always show up to the big ones. will miss gibbo and his rockets too. Brown was always a stable player and till this day i am in the dark on the issue of removing him from RB after such a stellar double winning season there. surely with Gibbo gone does this not mean that we are getting a midfielder? cuz that’s one out of the rotation. I hope carrick doesn’t go anywhere.

  40. kanchelskis says:

    @dannysoya

If Gibbo goes, it’s 3 out of the rotation – him, Scholes and Hargreaves (if he was ever counted).

It would leave us with only Carrick, Anderson, Giggs and Fletcher as experienced out-and-out CMs. You would imagine there’d be a signing planned to address that issue.

  41. Lloyd™ says:

    Evracadabra we love you too.

Hope you remain here for the rest of your career.

    20th,4th,12th & 5th… here we come…

  42. Samuel - united WE stand says:

i always love listening to patrice, he has something about him like cantona, that mystic and uniqueness about him and also the craziness.

If he finishes his career at the club, he sure will go down as a legend, he is 30 now so i think the da silva twins will be putting pressure on him to perform, especially fabio who i think will be a great player, you can see that composure and technical abilities he shows in games, and rafael well we all know he’ll be outstanding too.

I really think we need to bring the likes of morrison, pogba, tunniclife and maybe petrucci, this guy’s with experience can be fantastic players and can have that telepathic relationship on the pitch due to them playing a lot together.

I think 30mill for sanchez is too much though but quality player, all rumours at the moment to be fair.

  43. Jeet says:

@aig: good too, mate – lost some weight, hit the treadmill and playing footy again. Study hard, but make sure you have some fun too. Trust me, more people end up regretting not having enough fun than not studying hard enough!

  44. Aig alex is god says:

    Jeet

good to hear that mate. Keep it up. Nah, i am not one of those who can just study. Want to get the main part done so that i dont have to miss matches next season.

  45. Doghouse says:

The thing about Evra isn’t just the trophies he wins for us, it’s the trophies that Arsenal don’t win because he’s got into their heads. :)

He’s a really great player and I think the world cup threw him. And I think since then the whole business with the French national set up in general might have thrown him even more (any of you guys read about their racial quotas in academies thing? It’s staggering). Class is permanent though, and Evra is class.

  46. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Jeet

To be fair, never heard ANYONE claim: “If I’d have just studied harder at school”

  47. AlphaRS says:

Evra – “It was men against babies.” Simple.

  48. Whiteside says:

    Evra you beautiful man you.

Well off-piste here but what about Nolan going to West Ham? He was one of their best players last year. Surely Blackburn wanted the chicken-walker?

  49. Costas says:

    TrollBANGrick out.

Any type of City fan in.

  50. Costas says:

Looks like De Laet is off to Norwich on loan.

Question. Who do we have that can play either as RB or LB in our academy? I think we might need them in the first team next season.

  51. coomy says:

modric: rated between 25 million to 30 million
    sanchez: 30 million
    sneijder : 30 million
andy carroll: 35 million ,they really fuck you

  52. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Cesc Fabregas – “There is a good team and a good manager and one of the most faithful fan bases in Europe. With those I believe we can make progress and one day win an important trophy.”

The more important question is whether that day will ever come with Evra and Co around.

  53. indiandevil says:

Paddy has been a great servant for this club, lets hop he regains his mojo soon.

Richi De Laet to Norwich and Gibbo to Sunderland are the top United transfer news of the hour as the Sanchez rumour seems to have cooled off!

Here’s a debate on Micheal Owen’s contract extension, deserved?

    http://www.thehardtackle.com/index.php/tht-special-talking-reds-owen-or-out/

  54. Vishal S says:

Not sure if its posted earlier but ESPN asia is reporting that David Gill has gone down to Spain to tie up a deal to sign Alexis Sanchez.

  55. CedarsDevil says:

    Vishal S

Its in most UK papers buddy

  56. CedarsDevil says:

I remember saying to my self ‘oh dear who is this flop’ when Pat made hid debut (Man City away if I am not mistaken) Things did not turn out too badly did they….

Thank God Sir Alex is the boss and not me!

  57. dannysoya says:

Good luck richie. Off to Norwich on loan. hope you do really well. He’s gonna be an important part of the rotation really soon.

  58. CedarsDevil says:

    Sushi anyone?

  59. lawman10 says:

granada reports tonight have just reported that gill has all but done a deal for sanchez.

  60. Zelh says:

    how reliable is granada reports?

  61. willierednut says:

    Granada?

  62. smartalex says:

Who’s grandad is green around the gills?

  63. lawman10 says:

my question is……….where are all these wingers going to play?
have a bad feeling we are going to lose nani & maybe park!!

  64. arijc says:

    @Costas
For RB, look out for Marnick Vermijl. And for the LB, Blackett might be a bit too inexperienced for next season, but he is promising.

  65. dazbomber says:

I did mention this at two o clock , but no one would listen.Any way great news

  66. dazbomber says:

Iam a grandad and i reported it, he he

  67. willierednut says:

Sanchez ain’t no winger. That’s the problem solved. Furthermore, It’s not our problem, on how the boss fits players into the team. We’ve got opinions, the boss has the expertise. Still rumours at this stage.

  68. dannysoya says:

    HAHAHAHA CEDARS THE SUSHI FREAK!!!!

  69. Fred says:

Granada Reports won’t have any scoop, they’ll just be repeating what it said in this morning’s papers. In this internet age, the likes of Granada Reports are getting left behind. I watch Northwest Tonight anyway – I love Ranvir Singh.

  70. Zelh says:

wow great save by de gea.

  71. CedarsDevil says:

    smartalex

hi mate how are you mate
i heard we are after defoe what do you think
maybe we should bid again for ronaldo
    what do you think
or maybe try and get tevez back
    what do you think
i hope we sign them all
i mean every one that is for sale

  72. Zelh says:

sanchez can play on the wing but he’s way better when he plays like young did for villa.
behind the striker and drive to the left or the right what makes him almost impossible to mark.

  73. CedarsDevil says:

    dannysoya

Cheers buddy and good on you for always taking it in the right spirit

  74. Jonny says:

Sanchez doesn’t look like he can cross the ball worth shit.

I’d fancy him playing up the middle though… looks like he takes pride in tracking back too, which is important

  75. sachu says:

    @cedarsdevil
tevez back mate i know you are joking but pls dont joke about that shithead
i dont think i have ever hated anybody more than tevez and shebby singh

  76. sachu says:

    @jonny
mate he is not a great crosser like beckham or valencia
but he is a special player no doubt
just hope shitty dont get him
if they get him the noisy neighbours will get realy noisy

  77. Fred says:

    Pizza’s here. :)

  78. Costas says:

So, if Sanchez can play behind the stiker, that could put Berbatov or Welbeck’s place in doubt one would think.

    @arijc

Ah, thanks. Hope we get to see them get a runout next season. Doesn’t look like Fergie will be in the market for another full back even if O’Shea is sold.

  79. jim says:

Come on guys, give carbangrick a break,
do we even know a carsick, we only no our
    NO 16 MICHEAL CARRICK!!!!

  80. Fred says:

England U21s are playing Ukraine if anyone wants to see the young reds in action.

  81. jim says:

  82. bchilds says:

I do love Evra but would have meant more if he hadn’t of seriously thought about leaving.

  83. parryheid says:

Only player I know for sure United are after is Nasri and we will have to wait a few days till he confirms he is not signing his contract.

  84. CedarsDevil says:

    sachu

That Tevez post was a piss take buddy and in all honesty it was directed at you…. All in the spirit of a good laugh…. I have loads of people making fun of me here and it makes me laugh, if this offends you in any way I will never repeat it buddy

  85. Fred says:

The psycho cunt Pearce has dropped Cleverley. :x

  86. Fred says:

Cleverley on the bench while Danny Rose, a left back, plays on the left of a front three. I shouldn’t be so surprised, this is the man who played David James up front for City once.

  87. sachu says:

reports that we have made abid for varane

  88. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred

Pearce a psycho? Now I have heard it all :-)

We can bring on Park or Fletch and take off any one of our 4 midfielders. If we don’t want to shunt Nani to the left, then taking either Nani or Valencia off allows us to revert to a 4-4-2… I think this gives SAF so many options.

with this line up though, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, and Park look to see their appearances cut… and i haven’t even mentioned Giggs yet.

    Or Cleverly for that matter.

still, if this happens, i’ll be anxious to see it on the pitch, because it sounds fantastic on paper

I’m asking you now for the fourth time, to use punctuation.

yeh, maybe then people will quite complaining that they’re not tall enough ha

  107. sachu says:

    @smartalex
i did not ignore u mate
    i love your posts
you are one of the best here on this blog
    @zelh
that was a good joke mate you fooled me

  108. Dave Malaysia says:

Saw some news we have finally made a bid for Ralph Varane.

Waiting to see if we bid for Steven Defour.

Giggs finally fighting back, started proceedings against NOTW for bugging his phone.

I am glad Ritchie is on loan to Norwich,we get to see now in the Premier League, get a clearer picture how much he has improved.

Aston Villa are being stupid, why not look for a manager with a proven record ,who can bring everyone at the club together. McLeish has proven himself but the manner of his departure and the fury over in that part of the worls ,for what? no meaning. Prediction, villa to lose more players.

Bit worried about our goalkeeping dept.
If we complete the signing of De gea,we have Anders Lindegaard. Thats it.
Amos is not ready for the first team,he cannot play reserves anymore,he must go out on loan.
That leaves us with Connor Devlin and Sam Johnstone. If rumours of interest in Connor is true ,hes going out on loan or a permanent trasfer, that leaves us with Sam.

Wonder if the boss will sign another keeper for safety. Or John O’Shea?

  109. smartalex says:

Jonny, Re your line up at 19:26 – I hope they the pitch sorted before the start of the season.

    It’s just a rumour.
they were totally wrong about neymar joining real.

  125. sachu says:

and also, barcelona has changed the scenario

  126. RedManWalking says:

  127. Zelh says:

I think if there would be anything innit it would be all over the place.

  128. sachu says:

guys , he has joined barca
i hope fergie makes a personal call

  129. mikekelly12 says:

  132. sachu says:

mate , i think we will and should get him

  133. RedManWalking says:

Seems Cleverley is on the bench. And Barca signed Sanchez? If thats true, it would be all over the news. But I dont see anything anywhere.

  134. CedarsDevil says:

A local daily in Papua New Guinea just reported that Sir Alex is after the Villa job, the old bugger needs a new challenge

  135. smartalex says:

@Jonny – You’re right, Sir Alex will level that playing field!

@mikekelly12 -If Bebe has a Turkish bath at the stock market he could end up in a cattle dip.

  136. Zelh says:

RedManWalking – They didn’t sign him but it’s said by sky sports italia t hat he made up his mind about a move to barca. that’s all.
    pure rumour.

  137. RedManWalking says:

Smalling the best player for England…

  138. Dave Malaysia says:

The papua new guinea newspaper editor cedars, has confirmed they are interested in signing meg ryan for the post of physio.

  139. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Cedars, Any news on who is set for the United job when Sir Alex moves to Villa?

I sincerely hope it is Alan Curbishley. One of my favorites.

  140. RedManWalking says:

Funny that almost every paper reported that Sanchez preferred United over the other clubs interested. And all of a sudden Barca are favourites again? I think maybe its because Fabregas said that he is happy to stay in Arse..

  141. mikekelly12 says:

@sachu I’m not saying he wouldn’t enhance our team, I just know that all this bull shit being leaked is just his agent sturring things up in conjunction with the media. Probably back handers left right and centre.
Besiktas have signed Bebe on loan…

  142. Fred says:

The future of English football looking very shit atm.

  143. Dave Malaysia says:

the papau new guinea daily confirms an upset malaysian mailed a bomb to an indian expat(not related to venkys) in dubai, for getting rid of fergie and wanting curbishley.

he said in a note it made my skin crawl,no me make u boom boom!

  144. sachu says:

    @balaji
NO , ITS FSW with dogleash as assistant

  145. RedManWalking says:

@Cedars – Its obvious he is moving to Villa mate! I mean United are shit, we are in debt and doomed. We have no future. Better jump off the sinking ship before its too late :P

  146. willierednut says:

Bebe gone for some Turkish delight!

  147. CedarsDevil says:

  148. smartalex says:

Nairobi General, and the tartan is tattooed on at birth Dave!

CedarsDevil, was that report from Papua New Guinea written by RoM’s roving, raving
    cannibal reporter Papii?

  149. RedManWalking says:

@Fred tell me about it! The players dont seem to know what to do with the ball!

  150. Dave Malaysia says:

damm this posts are making me upset,my eye is twitching, got to mail more bombs!

    list : sachu,redmanwalking,cedars,

  151. Fred says:

Tom Hanks is Villa’s biggest celebrity fan, so it makes perfect sense that Meg Ryan would join them. Sorry, have to go – I’ve got mail…

  152. dela says:

    @Cedars

Sir Alex is never going to get the Villa job. Rumour has it that the Fat Spanish Waiter is interested in the Villa job.

Heskey and Benitez- ah, that’s the dream.

  153. Zelh says:

now rumours on twitter that sanchez is on the verge of signing a 5y deal with United.

always the same with twitter

  154. Balaji Sivaraman says:

The Papua New Guinea paper would like to report that the Malaysian may have missed his target who apparently used Dimitar Berbatov’s super powers to divert the bomb to Abu Dhabi where it hit its intended target in Manchester City owner Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

  155. Dave Malaysia says:

papua new guinea editor ran off with his physio, they are beleived to be in lebanon. meg ryan’s representatives refused to comment on the actress’s sexcapades with a swarthy olive oilled
    lebanese kebab.

  156. Fred says:

Sounds like we’re throwing the Bebe out with the bathwater here.

  157. dannysoya says:

OHHH SHIT.i think we have ourselves a Gem in Phil Jones. he;s just flying thru midfield from the back. simply amazing on the ball and well composed too. Thanks Fergie.

  158. CedarsDevil says:

    RedManWalking

  162. dannysoya says:

  164. RedManWalking says:

@Cedars We all wish him well, mate! I guess its the era of Liverpool and Villa now. Guess we should dream of Europa League! *sigh*

  165. Fred says:

Just read comments on Twitter attributed to Fergie: “man u are fucking shit. I wish i maniged liverpool 18+5 ynwa”

If true, I think these comments are a disgrace. :x

  166. Dave Malaysia says:

next on the list is dannysoya, for laughing at malaysia, now make some soya sauce!

  167. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Middle East Daily would like to report a hysterical Indian was arrested for celebrating the bombing of the Manchester City owners. It is learned that he collaborated with an Indian living in Malaysia who is now being sought after by Malaysian intelligence agencies.

Dave, I think we better stop.

I have to fly back in a few months. Wouldn’t want to be put on a no-fly list now, would I?

  168. RedManWalking says:

On a serious note, also read rumours that we have given up on Modric and are going to concentrate on Sjneider altogether. I preferred Modric though. I feel Sjneider and Rooney are similar players.

  169. smartalex says:

    I hope Bebe’s not rattled.

  170. dannysoya says:

Dave i’m watching you from now on :)

  171. RedManWalking says:

@Balaji – it’s India! Catch a boat and get in through the coast of Mumbai! A 100 ruppee note should appease the coast guard! Its getting back that will be difficult :P

  172. Fred says:

Bebe is no dummy. He’s been crying out for first-team football and this move will pacify him.

  173. Dave Malaysia says:

    @dannysoya: u talking to me? u , u talking to me, u soya? u talking to me?

how are u doin dude?

@Balaji: for all we know, the NSA guys cud be Manutd supporters, laughing thier heads off.

but if get caught on any flight ,good luck.will visit u in guantanamo.

  174. RedManWalking says:

Ooh! Aah! Cantona! Say Ooh Aah Cantona! *sigh* Was going through the documentary Au Revoir Cantona on youtube! He was truly majestic :’(

  175. smartalex says:

Perhaps his toys can stay in the cot now that Bebe’s talking turkey!
    I’ll bet Nani’s thanks giving!

  176. willierednut says:

    No Bebe, no cry…

  177. Fred says:

    I refugee from Guantanamo Bay
Dance around the border like I’m Cassius Clay

  178. Dave Malaysia says:

Turkish daily , Our Delight Is Your Delight , reports that Manutd star Bebe, was upset with reporter Fred the flinstone and his fellow journos for throwing his bath water out!

  179. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    @RedManWalking, LOL, ;)

@Cedars, Please send Meg over. I could use an attractive distraction if I face trouble at the airport. I promise I’ll take good care of her.

  180. CedarsDevil says:

After leaving OT Sir Alex has vowed that he would make Villa even worse than they are, he then went on to say that he would manage Papua New Guinea and lead them to the SM of the WC in 2026

  181. Dave Malaysia says:

    no woman no cry

    no woman no sex

    no sex no peace

    no peace then itchyballs

  182. MG says:

Rumour is that SAF is looking to sign a world class midfielder

That rules me out because I’m a world class striker

  183. Dave Malaysia says:

gotta to sleep now, hold me pillow ,think of Meg Ryan in a nightie. will howl !

  184. RedManWalking says:

@Cedars LOL – though I dont think Sir Alex can make anything worse even if he tries!

  185. dannysoya says:

BREAKING NEWS: fergie claims it’s a dream to work with Randy lerner and Villa and he’s looking forward to taking villa to the top of England within a year. Fergie why?

    @dave LMAO!! never been better.

  186. Fred says:

I’m sorry to say this but I really think Sir Alex is shredding his legacy at every turn.

  187. RedManWalking says:

btw, we have a gem in Jones!

  188. willierednut says:

    Fergie out, Fegie in!

  189. Fred says:

Shocking effort when through on goal there by Welbeck

  190. RedManWalking says:

damn! Welbeck should have buried that! Oh wel..

  191. MrKirie says:

Anyone check out the Red Moon tonight? Must be a blow for the shitty fans to see that even the moon supports the Reds :)

  192. Fred says:

Psycho, get Cleverley on NOW. :x

  193. smartalex says:

Down my way the drums are beating a different tune. Local reports of a big money export to Manchester United. ‘Gonzaier Gorrilla Gumguard’ (affectionately known as 3G) is being transported on an oil tanker to Old Trafford for a medical.

The Timbuktu Tattler are calling it a ‘BIG’ signing. 3G plays across the midfield. He’s very mobile, and he can crush up to 3 Tikki-Takki’s in one bang of his fist.

  194. Fred says:

This reminds me of when Glenn Hoddle inexplicably dropped Beckham for the first two games of the 1998 World Cup just to make some bizarre point that didn’t need making.

  195. JC says:

So watching this back and forth Henderson is absolute shit and Rose looks terrible out of postition but Jones is a beast and Smalling has looked solid other than that lazy square pass at the back that almost got picked. WTF was with that crap finish from Welbeck though… ugh.

  196. Fred says:

Wow, sounds like we’ve got the new King Kong. This will make up for us missing out on Peter Crouch.

  197. RedManWalking says:

Even if Cleverley is brought on he wont be played in the middle but on the wings and he seems to be very ineffective there…

  198. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, You have to get BigFoot for missing out on Peter Crouch. It’s a common misunderstanding which I forgive you for.

  199. Fred says:

@JC – Danny could have scored, he just didn’t want to – it would have been too easy.

Watching this, I’m CONVINCED that City would have won the league by now if they’d kept Psycho Pearce as manager.

  200. Fred says:

Who the fuck is this Lansbury guy who England have brought on? He’s shit, as is Scott Sinclair.

    I love Smalling’s runs upfield. 8)

  201. RedManWalking says:

I guess Hendersson wore the wrong boots. He doesnt seem to be able to pass the ball.

  202. Fred says:

    Martin Tyler falling asleep too.

  203. JC says:

Does everyone else here love watching Jones streak up the field on those breaks? He’s got great pace, control and awareness attacking as well as his strength and positioning in defense.

  204. smartalex says:

    The sanitarium league?

  205. Fred says:

Jones and Smalling are so good. 8)

  206. RedManWalking says:

@Fred Smalling is the next Maradona mate :D

  207. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, And we’ve got both of them. 8)

This isn’t fair to the other teams I feel.

  208. Fred says:

The fair play league. As in “fair play, we wuz beaten by the better side today.”

  209. willierednut says:

I told you to tell him, that you’re in sanitation, not sanitarium.

  210. smartalex says:

Is Psycho’s mother at the game? Perhaps she can come on. When she cuts in she’s lethal.

  211. RedManWalking says:

    FFS, bring on Cleverley!!!

  212. RedManWalking says:

yup! Hendersson forgot his special “Kenny boots” at home…

  213. Zelh says:

still don’t understand what rose and mancienne are doing in the line-up.

  214. JC says:

@Zelh along with Henderson, they’re all crap.

  215. smartalex says:

“I got ears, ya’ know. I hear things.”

  216. Passmaster16 says:

    English CARRICK… The passmaster.. :-) )

  217. willierednut says:

Henderson should of signed for Spurs. Harry and the Hendersons.

  218. RedManWalking says:

Or maybe the “Kenny boots” just suck! :D

  219. willierednut says:

I love this club too, Evra! :)

  220. RedManWalking says:

OMG!! Henderrson is absolute shit!! Psycho could have given at least 10 mins of play to Cleverley!

  221. RedManWalking says:

    Who the heck is Muamba?

  222. Fred says:

Anyone know anything about this Shaquiri guy? Apparently he can play whenever, wherever.

  223. Fred says:

@RedMan – Muamba is a usless turd of a midfielder who plays for Bolton. I think he might be a reject from Arsenal’s academy.

  224. Fred says:

I’m pleased to see that this Henderson chap is utter shit. :D

  225. RedManWalking says:

If Smalling and Jones hadnt been this good, Ukraine would have at least scored!

  226. willierednut says:

Hold on Fred, I’ll have a Pique in a minute.

  227. RedManWalking says:

And Psycho brought him on? Damn! I just wasted 90 mins of my life … I wanted to see Cleverley! Though its been great in RoM. Off to sleep people! Gnite everyone!

  228. Fred says:

Remember when we beat that Chinese XI about 12-0 in a pre-season friendly?

  229. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Remember guys, anybody who was bought by Liverpool for 20 million squid by definition is better than a product of the Manchester United academy. FACT.

  230. Fred says:

Goodnight Redman. There’s another chance to watch the young reds in action on Sunday against Czechoslovakia.

  231. Utd4life says:

Does anyone really expect England to win when they have Mancienne and Henderson in the MF? That was fucking awful..Should have given Cleverley some game time instead of bringing mamaba on..Smalling and Jones were very good..again..

  232. MG says:

    United  England

  233. MG says:

    Rephrase:

United  England in all ages

  237. Fred says:

What’s going on here? Are we trying to reach 19,000 comments again?

  238. Fred says:

Oh, I tell a lie – it was 1900 comments.

  239. MG says:

    They have 5

  240. MG says:

    The ROM in peace

  244. Saad says:

Pearce is an I-talianized friggin’ coward of a coach! He starts with two fullbacks and a defensive midfielder in the middle when he’s got a firebrand in Cleverley on the bench and a flyer in Albrighton, not to mention Lansbury and Sinclair, both players with attacking mentalities.

Wasn’t this squad favorites to win the damn thing this year???

  245. eddo the red says:

the saga continues, from the director of the bruce/pallister,, rio/vida..we now present to u smalling/jones..mancunians get ur popcorns ready for another ten++ exciting seasons..is fergie a genius or what..??
