Manchester United have been put in the same group as Glasgow Rangers, meaning a song which has dominated our European escapades over the past few years makes a comeback.
First heard sung this season at Old Trafford when we played West Ham, this is a song you’ll undoubtedly have stuck in your head for the next few weeks.
Here’s a bit of recent history on he song including several variations.
2009/2010: Rangers, European Cup group stages.

That song was at its best in 08 on the way to moscow. Best song of the season for me that year, followed by the classic viva ronaldo. good times.

I always liked one particular song, don’t know the words, but it used the music from dirty old town.
Costas – my girlfriend comes from a Portuguese family, and having been out there I can tell you that Carlos Queiroz is phenomenally unpopular. Most people wanted him out before the World Cup as they were lucky to even qualify for it!
They’ve now had an awful start to the Euro qualifiers but with Queiroz’s suspension and the disruption which that will have caused I guess it is not overly surprising!

Thanks for the info. Teaming up with Sir Alex can open up a lot of doors for you. CQ has had the chance to work at Real and Portugal as a result. To be honest though, I never consider him a good manager. He was a very good right hand man though and he and Fergie complimented each other very well.
I feel bad for the Portuguese because they’ve wasted a lot of time and opportunities with Carlos. Especially since these are Ronaldo’s best years of his career. I was surprised he stayed after the World Cup. They are probably planning on cutting their losses now.
