    Saw this on media watch…thought it was quite funny….

    You’ll probably remember last week that Liverpool sent a rather premature e-mail to fans advertising tickets for the fourth round of the FA Cup.

    Well, after the offer disappeared from the club’s website, one scampish Mediawatch correspondent enquired as to why, and where he could get tickets.

    This was their reply:

    ‘Thank you for your email.

    ‘Due to the results of the match v Reading we are no longer in the FA Cup.’

    I came to this blog a good bit after its inception. Its following was quite healthy back then, only the popularity of it has continued to increase since then.

    It’s one of those websites that I load up without even thinking about it. Essential reading, for sure.

    It also helps having an author that likes to mix it up.

    Costas – Yeah Paddy said it was a couple of HUNDRED! David Meek on United in Press was even saying that United fans were a bit out of order “going against the club”. It isn’t against the club per se though is it. Ian Ladyman of the Mail or Times said he disagreed and the fans were absolutely right to voice their concerns. It does beg the question though has all this being escalated by the media on the back of a couple of dodgy results? They are trying their best to drive a wedge between United and unsettle us. It is a concern but hardly anyone has mentioned it the last 3 years other than MUST and the like now every man and his dog are talking about it.

Some people must just read it and not comment. I remember it took me a few weeks to build up the “bottle” to make a comment.
