Anderson: This Is The Best Club To Be At

Anderson has today signed a contract extension with the club that keeps him here until 2015.

Following a falling out with the manager, a lengthy injury, a car accident after leaving a nightclub drawing the small hours during recovery, being linked with a return to Gremio, Anderson has finally got his place back in the team and has been performing well. His inclusion should only have a positive on Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick, who have been struggling for form over the past few months at least, with competition for places increasing.

Anderson is very happy to have signed the new contract, believing this is the best place to be.

“This is the best club to be at and I would like to thank everyone for the great support I have received over the years,” Anderson said. “I am looking forward to winning many more trophies with this club and I am so pleased to have signed a new contract.”

Funny how so many players suddenly get better right before they are due for a new contract. Hopefully Ando continues to improve!

  2. potteR says:

    Good. Very good.

  3. red1990 says:

that’s good news, we need continuity with the same players, he has been fantastic for the last few games, I hope it will continue for a long time.

    Bring on Chelsea!

  4. MyCowIsTheBest says:

Never doubted him. My favourite player in the team now for his potential and drive.

  5. willierednut says:

    Over to you now Anderson.

  6. Giles Oakley says:

How refreshing to see a contract extension being sorted out without fuss or manipulative games being played out through the media. I’m delighted Anderson’s on board for the long haul, as he’s a huge talent and is beginning to mature nicely.

  7. gora says:

  8. Red Typhoon says:

It’s ando’s name that i want to see first on the team sheet nowadays!! Seriously, he has given our midfield some creativity, vision and drive!! Exactly what we were lacking before this!!

  9. musvn says:

just simply delighted :D Hopefully he keeps it going, his form has been wonderful in last 3-4 games :D

  10. mattbw7 says:

Couldn’t agree more Giles, hopefully just growing up is part of the reason for his improved from I can see him playing a pivotal role in the attempt on the 19th

  11. Berbatov's Love Life says:

its better not to comment at all than it is to type a useless run of letters. Please take the time to write out a literate thought…dont think thats asking too much

  12. BerbaGod says:

For me Carrick and Anderson should be our main cm duo this season!

  13. manci_yanky says:

    he shits on Fabregasss!!

  14. bchilds says:

Yes Ando, it is! If you continue playing like you have done since your comeback it’ll be your club for years to come!

Still forget sometimes that he’s only 22.

    In the making.

  18. rose says:

its nice of you to play with the first team

  19. King Eric says:

Great news. Was convinved he would be on his way in jan but fair play to the lad he has been suoerb these last few games. His pace power and the way he drives us forward is just what we have been lacking. To think he is still only twenty or twenty one. Great night at ot on monday and we deserved the win men v boys. Ando fletch and carrick absolutely bossed the middle of the park and carricks crunching tackle on fairyboy willshire was a joy to behold. They simply weren’t up fior it from the first whistle. Our lads never stopped running none more so than park. Surley the idiots will get off his back. He is a cracking little playter. How good has rafa becomem? A top right back. Rio and vidic were outstanding and clichy against nani didn’t know wether to stick or twist. Our lads battled to get the three points. All this done as welll without the old guard which was very pleasing. United can win this title at a canter yet scouse cunt quinny reckons we won’t win the league as not playing well enough. Err who is mick. Unbeaten yet still fuck all credit. Tonight he outdid his daft self. Reckons spurs have the best chance of all english clubs of winning in euroope. You could not make it up. Uniteds euro record speaks for itself. The gung ho spuds will get punished in ko rounds. They fucking hate it that united are clear at the top especially considering quinn said in august we wouldn’t get top four. Beggars belief. Great to see edwin shouting nani and all the players and giving it high fives. The team spirit is excellent. To think as well we had our top two goalscorers on the bench. Fucking willshire now reckons united sabotaged the pitch to stop em playing. Fuck off you fat over rated fairy. United play the better football. They were allowed the ball in midfield as they have no penetration whatsoever. Title contenders my arse. United can win ugly as well. How many fucking songs do the goons have? One. Were by far the greatest team. ••••. Shite. Did hear one round of sit down you paedophile but it was quickly drowned out. Arsenal simply haven’t the balls to sustain a title challenge. Great new s about clevererly. He is in contention to start on saturday. I see citeh are now accepting written offers from greedy fuckers as highlighted by dzeko. The same cunt who could barely shine against a centrehalf pairing of carrick and fletch. The future is most definitely red.

  20. Costas says:

    Haha, tell them King. :)

By the way, I said the same thing(about idiots getting off Park’s back) after his goal against Liverpool 9 months ago. Sadly, I don’t think it will ever happen. Ferguson knows how important Park is and that’s all that matters.

  21. hammons says:

As Ferguson has said on numerous occasions, we, the supporters, need to see the long-term picture, or we will have a managerial career like Roy Keane’s … IFIT.

The Magician’s Biggest Act Is To Come ….

  22. King Eric says:

Costas. Hello mate. Yeah too true. Thank god fergie is the manager then. Best transfer target I have heard on the paddy show since kevin nolan was last night. Wait for this mate. Robert fucking snodgrass! Sometimes I really am embarrassed to have fans like this following united. Snodgrass? I mean come on seriously.

  23. King Eric says:

Hammons. Spot on mate. I have said tine and again on here that somne people do not realise fergie is building his next team right under their noses. The man is two or three years in advance.

  24. willierednut says:

Snodgrass? Maybe he’s the new groundsman.

  25. King Eric says:

Ha willie. I know. I aint even joking. He was deadly serious. Fucking clown

  26. willierednut says:

King Eric – He must have been drunk or high, or both lol.

  27. red1990 says:

Nothing surprise me with Wenger’s and arsenal players’ comments, they were completely outclass by our boys in reds, it could have been 3 or 4 goals. Blaming the pitch etc…what a complete bunch of idiots, bad losers…with this attitude they don’t even deserve a carling cup, hopefully other team will win it and let Arsenal have another yet again trophyless season.

  28. Costas says:

    @King Eric

What’s a Snodgrass, lol? I think games like football manager are the cause of this…

  29. StatesideAussie says:

@King Eric … “United can win ugly as well.” Spot on … it’s a quality much underrated, and one that often makes the difference over the long haul. Of course, football snobs like The Arse tell themselves they’d lose playing “beautiful” football than win playing “ugly”, but that’s only because they’re up themselves at a thousand miles an hour, and don’t have the balls to “get down in the trenches” when it’s necessary.

  30. StatesideAussie says:

oops, left out a word … i meant: Of course, football snobs like The Arse tell themselves they’d RATHER lose playing “beautiful” football than win playing “ugly”.

  31. hammons says:

@King Eric: That is exactly what separates Sir Alex from any other manager – including Jose Mourinho. He not only wants to win everything now, but he also wants to lay the ground work for the future – which is something that miserable, sore loser Wanker has tried to replicate with no success.

  32. wayne says:

just pleased he’s signed new contract will take him to 27 means we’ll have him in his prime years.

  33. Corea says:

After the embarrassing myself in 2005 when i said Fergy had to go i became a lot more careful. During the difficult autumn days it started to become pretty obvious that if not this year the next season would be ours.

anderson has “finally”got it as did nani at the turn of the year he has grasped the chance and is getting back to the early form when he arrived on the scene give the lad a chance and to be honest he has turned up at the right time me thinks fletcher is on the wain at the moment but im a believer in what goes around comes around

  35. Red Typhoon says:

Never ever question the gaffer, mate!! :-)

  36. Wednesdayx says:

What a great attitude from Anderson, he’s so young and a star in the making… you can tell he puts his heart out and trys to do his very best for us, but why do people say he’s fat? or am I blind? lol

  37. United95 says:

top top player-keep going. i am sure we’ll see him in brazil, helping brazil to win world cup, 6th time. btw the same applies to, da sailvas!!!!

  38. AON: Americans Out Now says:

Thought he had the potential to win the Ballon d’Or seeing his first season with us..then he went AWOL and got fucked up…bad knee injury and The Gaffer played him outta position as a defensive midfielder. Now I believe he is in his best position with MC16 and Fletch behind him..If only he used that R leg of his !! sigh… !!

  39. Dave Malaysia says:

    Great news,happy.

So Anderson has finally made it,signed a new contract and like Nani we now have 2 first teamers confirmed.

Nani if he achieves his full potential is a complete winger and same for Ando he is a complete central midfeilder.

Dont you just love the way he holds the ball shields it from 2 or 3 players and runs away with it?

  40. United says:

Fair play to him, came back from injury, an accident and being out of favour and has been performing well. A little premature in my opinion but if it helps him move and and play well consistently, then good job.

  41. sankgupt says:

Now just start scoring a few Ando…2 goals in 3 seasons is hardly enough for a CM.

  42. Corea says:

Wednesdayx – for sure women like his ass. lol

United – Ando came back from injury in january and i am confident he would have regain his form even then. Then came the injury.

  43. aig alex is god says:

    king eric

anderson is 22 now. will be 23 in apr 2011. still very young though.

  44. GTull says:

Yeah, Ando just needs to start scoring goals…

The ‘best’ midfielders of the premier league are the ones which score the goals and get the headlines, it’s why Fat Lampard, Stevie Me and Fabregas get all the plaudits. It’s why their held in such high regard by the media and why players like Ando are overlooked and not considered ‘complete midfielders’.

Ando just needs to start doing the same thing, it’s not like he doesn’t get in shooting positions or get presented with clear goal scoring opportunities, it’s just for one reason or another he doesn’t seem to stick it away. Compare that to Darron Gibson who is a far lesser midfieder than Ando, but with a far better shot, it’s somewhat frustrating!
