Rio Ferdinand has revealed on Twitter how his brother, Anton, has bought Rio’s kids, Lorenz and Tate, Sunderland kits for Christmas.

“Anton bought my little men Sunderland kits for Christmas,” he said. “I get home today and they are wearing them! I thought we agreed they wouldn’t be worn?! Look at them, feel them, hang them up, but playing football and running around in them in the garden shouting ‘Rooney…Ferdinand…’ is nuts! Luckily they are still singing United songs and saying they support Man United…so I can still let them be part of the family!”

It’s weird, with all the goals that Anton scores for us, I assumed he was a United fan too…
