Karim Benzema is keen to move to one of the best clubs in the World sooner rather than later, after previously stating he wanted to stay with Lyon until they won the Champions League.

At the beginning of the month, Benzema claimed he liked Manchester United, although saw Real Madrid as top priority.

Still, some United fans were still keen to get him playing at Old Trafford whilst whinging about Dimitar Berbatov.

If you’re still interested in him, it really is time to move on.

“As far as sport is concerned, playing for Real Madrid is my hidden dream,” Benzema said. “And I think this dream is about to become reality. I like the white shirt, the stadium and the atmosphere surrounding the Bernabeu. I promised my mother that one day I will play for Real Madrid and I want this to come true.”

Even if for whatever reason we did sign Benzema, he would always one day leave us for Real Madrid. The well-known story goes that when Patrice Evra signed for United he asked Gary Neville where the nearest church was so he could thank God he played for us. That is the attitude we want in players, not players who make promises to their mum about bloody Real Madrid!

So once and for all, get over it!
