After staying up until close to 1am to get the official confirmation through, I am fairly relieved that I can now say Dimitar Berbatov is a Manchester United player. At the start of the day, upon hearing that City had tabled a new British transfer record for the player, I must admit I got a little hot under the collar. I was still getting over the fact that the bluenoses had been bought by someone with more money than Roman Abramovich!
We have signed the striker on a 4-year-deal with Frazier Campbell joining Spurs on loan. This means our young striker, who clearly we were reluctant to sell for the £7 million being offered from Hull, will get good Premiership experience.
So, are you happy?

I’m happy. With Berbatov we have someone who will dovetail nicely with both Rooney or Tevez. Really, partnering any two of those three give us some good attacking options. I was disappointed to find out Campbell would not break into the squad this year, but hopefully he can prove himself at Spurs and make it easier for SAF to give him a chance next season.
City are still going to finish mid-table this season, Robinho and Jo won’t change that.
