After staying up until close to 1am to get the official confirmation through, I am fairly relieved that I can now say Dimitar Berbatov is a Manchester United player. At the start of the day, upon hearing that City had tabled a new British transfer record for the player, I must admit I got a little hot under the collar. I was still getting over the fact that the bluenoses had been bought by someone with more money than Roman Abramovich!
We have signed the striker on a 4-year-deal with Frazier Campbell joining Spurs on loan. This means our young striker, who clearly we were reluctant to sell for the £7 million being offered from Hull, will get good Premiership experience.
So, are you happy?

Man Utd News 24/7

I’m happy. With Berbatov we have someone who will dovetail nicely with both Rooney or Tevez. Really, partnering any two of those three give us some good attacking options. I was disappointed to find out Campbell would not break into the squad this year, but hopefully he can prove himself at Spurs and make it easier for SAF to give him a chance next season.
City are still going to finish mid-table this season, Robinho and Jo won’t change that.
I hope Campbells loan is only a loan and nothing more, I really wanted the guy to stay, he’s our only striker with real pace to threaten and against a slow side, coming on late he’d make a massive impact, a bit like Nani against Liverpool last season but we don’t get as frustrated with Campbell as we do with Nani.
Is the pope a catholic?
No problem with it Campbell will be back soon and I can’t wait to see the most silk partnership
Yeah am dead happy! My concern is the price and fraiser. For me the price is too much. The guy is 28 and we re not crazy Chelsea who spent over 30 million for sheva. But overall its a good business. I hope he will have a nice time at Oldtrafford.
The pope being catholic? what does that got to do with Barbatov, Roonet, Tevez Ronaldo partnership, wait for goals
Cherry, he is 27.
Ya 27 chelsea always buys more older players
The transfer fee was a little too much but I guess that’s because City came in. The Campbell deal is brilliant though. He’s going to get much more playing time there than he would at us while still having good players behind him to create chances.
Wow, just picked up the morning paper and I have just seen proof in the fact that Berbatov can SMILE!!!! who would have thought it? at his years at spurs, we just about saw a wink, let alone a SMILE…
Lets just hope he can straightens up his back at UTD.
Campbell was always going to struggle to get games, through Berba and Manucho into the fold and Campbell had an even smaller chance. Sending Campbell to Tottenham is not only a good situation for Campbell to be at a good club with quality players, but its excellent for United. He will gain top quality experience at White Heart Lane and will get playing time more regularly than he would have at United.
We paid to much for Berba but had very little choice. When City make a 30+ million bid, are hand was sealed and we had to go above 30 and give up Campbell just to match City’s bid. I do believe he will be successful at United but I did believe better options are out there and we could have gotten another player to plug into that role without breaking the bank on a 28 year old.
Either way, I think he is really excited, he looks like a kid whose dream has just come true. First game against Liverpool will be exciting and we can only hope nothing happens to him on international duty. (knock on wood)
I think it’s a top class signing, Berbatov/Rooney/Tevez with Ronaldo/Nani/Anderson/Carrick/Scholes/Giggs….. it doesnt get any better than that… bring on the scouse cu*ts and the rent boys
Fairly pleased with the Campbell loan, i didnt want him to leave and i think he’ll come back a much improved player which is only going to benefit us, Regarding the fee for Berbatov, it’s high and we know why it’s high but it needed to be paid to obtain a top class wonderful player. it’s like getting a great big early Christmas present without having to pay for it!!
although im glad berbatovs at united weve spend far too much money on him.. plus.. i cant see campbell getting the games he needs, with bent and the new russian guy.. remember what happened to rossi???? went to newcastle and hardly got a game!! i can see the same happening with campbell
if he was going anywhere he should of gone to hull at least he would definitly get the games he needs
Dimitar looks so happy in the United shirt. Also, in the Skysports’ video where we see Sir Alex greeting him, he looks incredibly relieved and happy.
Levy finally got his wish, the 30 mill and Campbell to accommodate the his striker force.
I think ManUtd need him, as Rooney does not want to measure his own success in goals…. just kidding.
happy?, i’m estatic!!!, rooney finally has a partner that will make him top scorer of prem….watch the goals flow now, get to the bookies, get on wazza!!!!
I am very happy with the Berba deal because Rooney and Tevez do all the running and hard work. We just needed a in & out goal scorer which i belve Berbatov is. I just hope Fergie knows what formation and players he will play, because i dont!
OVER THE MOON THAT WE HAVE FINALLY GOT HIM..AS WE ARE DESPERATELY SHORT AND DO NEED A STRIKER/OUT AND OUT CENTRE FORWARD..LEADTHE LINE PLAYER. WOULD HAVE LEFT US TOOTHLESS UPFRONT IF HE HADNT COME. AND MAY WELL HAVE COST US NOT HAVING A FINISHER IN BIG GAMES.
but….
AGREE THAT WE HAVE PAID OVER THE ODDS…IN MY BOOK HE;S WORTH NO MORE THAN 23 MILLION. BUT WE HAD TO PAY OVERTHE ODDS BECAUSE:-
1. PRICES ARE INFLATED ON FINAL DAY AS TEAMS ARE DESPERATE
2. TIME WAS RUNNING OUT
3. SPURS WOULDNT DROP THIER SO CALLED PREM SUIT AGAINST US
4. SPURS WOULDNT RELEASE HIS DOCUMENTS AND REGISTRATION AND PAPERS
5. SPURS COULDNT AND DIDNT LOOK LIKELY TO BUY ANY REPLACEMENTS
6. SPURS DIDNT WANT TO SELL AFTER ESP AFTER SHITTY ( CHELSEA MARK II ) HAD COME IN WITH A 33 MILL BID AND HAD ACCEPTED IT.
Hence an extra 6 mill hush money and campbell into the sweetner for the deal to be done completed in time.
Great signing..too much though and sad to see campbell go. We could have had another body…striker to use in cup games
oh well
I’m very very happy, as at last we finally sign him….
Berbatov is a real top calss striker. Some may argue that if we’re really want to pay that amount of money, we would have signed hime before yesterday. However, no one know the future and all credit to United board, at least, we finally beat City for his signature.
I think it’s a great business. We’ve got Berbatov, a very talented striker who’s really want to play for us. His skilled, vision, height, and ability to score goals will benefit United a lot. Cambell can go to gain more experience at Tottenham, and next year he will be better. In addition, Tottenham also drop their case against us. So, after a very long long time, it’s worthwhile waiting.
If Berbatov play up front with Tevez. Ronaldo play as a winger (can go both side of the field) and Scholes play as attacking midfileder. Hargreves and Carrick in midfield. We will have the best side again….
Van Der Sar
Brown Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Hargreves Carrick
Scholes
Ronaldo (Can go both side)
Berbatov Tevez
SUB : Neville, Giggs, Nani, Anderson, Rooney
Message to PET……The question was Are you happy?……Obviously …’YES’….The response Is the pope a catholic?….Which obviously is ‘Yes’…by the way You Cretan ….Rooney is spelt with a ‘Y’
PS PET……..His name is BERBATOV NOT BARBETOV
Pet you’re an idiot.
A bloody red reign of goals is going to wash away all the pretenders in the premiership .Bow down blue and scouse filth .
The loan deal that took Campbell to Spurs is all good for us since Tottenham only got two strikers in their first team and their young prospects out on loan deals. That means (at least I hope), young Frazier will get some valuable Premier League experience.
From Sweden with red love
I am glad Campbell will get some great experience in a decent side under a strong manager. He’ll come back to United in the summer a lot stronger and hopefully with a few goals under his belt. I am sure he won’t be able to play against us though!
