Gooner77 – Yeah the lad certainly ain’t the most naturally gifted player to grace football but he makes up for that in sheer effort and determination. He has been one of United’s most improved players over the last season or two and never disappoints in the big games. Added to that he has been at the club since a kid and when clubs like Everton came knocking in the summer with offers of 9 or 10 million, he made it clear he wanted to stay at United as a “squad player” bulk himself up, improve his game and successfully make it into the “first team”. The lad has done well, respect!

I just hope Fletch is rested up and ready to get after it for this Semifinal. We all know he can play out of his mind on the big occasions, and usually does really well against Arsenal anyway. So, in my opinion, lets continue to bleed Carrick/Scholes/Anderson in the league and this sunday etc, let Fletch recover fully from his hamstring strain or whatever, and then unlease the FURY against Fab in the semi!

Back to topic. I think it is a fixture both sets of fans are geniunely looking forward to. Teams that play proper football. There’s always something special when these 2 teams meet, although Arsenal’s failure to keep pace in recent years has somewhat dampened the tensions, but there is nothing quite like the years when Wenger took on Sir Alex. The teams had a fantastic competition the last decade, and nothing can be compared to it yet, not even against Liverpool (they’re not TAT important as they think they are yet)
