For some reason, some Sunday papers have linked Manchester United with former City midfielder, Joey Barton.
In response, clearly knowing there’s no truth in the story, Barton pledged his loyalty to Newcastle, claiming he would turn a move down.
Barton is currently in England whilst his team mates are on tour because his criminal convictions mean he wasn’t granted a visa.
