Manchester United new signing, Bebe, was initially left out of our Champions League squad, despite us only naming 24 players out of a possible 25.
The boss changed his mind though and included Bebe, much to our young player’s surprise.
“I’m surprised by my inclusion in the Champions League squad,” he said. “It’s a dream for me. I never thought I would have made it, but now I am a very happy man. I only hope that my confidence returns when I start playing some games and scoring goals, like I know how. At the moment I am working very hard each day in training. I intend to make the most of my chance and hopefully profit from the opportunity given to me.”

Scott, which players do you categorize as “Youth”. I notice that Bebe and Gibson (your last 2 posts) are both marked as Youth. Are posts about Anderson marked as Youth?

I love how some fans are so enthusiastic regarding Bebe, yet in the below thread on this site some (not all!) are criticising Gibson, even though we have just had a sneak peek at the great attitude he has and how he wants to stay at United.
Maybe if he was from fucking Sao Paulo people would respect him more.
According to several sources UEFA www site “corrected” their error in leaving off Bebe. I think it is a good move. The lad may not get a game, but being included in the training and potentially in the traveling side will boost confidence, patience, and skills. As to his youth status, he is an U21 for Portugal, and is not on the senior squad, therefore a proper listing as a youth player. Anderson regularly plays for Brazil and Uniteds senior teams. Also, listing Bebe as a developing player helps our fans not heap to much pressure on the lad. He has just been pulled up at least 3 divisions in under a year. I think we owe the kid a bit of slack and should see what happens in 3-4 years with this one. Even though we had to buy out his contract, hence the high reported pay out (not confirmed) I will imagine his personal terms are rather reasonable Any info on his contract, weekly wages, etc.? I’ wager he drives the likes of a KIA Picanto, not an Audi A8.
I have high hopes for bebe, he is a player who learnt his trade on the streets, not some academy, therefore he will have the technical abilities and imagination to hopefully hack it at united, still raw though and needs more training on tactical awareness and probably more fitness regime, fingers crossed he makes it and prove his doubters wrong and the money paid for him eventually being a bargain.
Good man. He should get some minutes in Europe either off the bench or providing United breeze through the group stages so, realistically, could play the fifth or sixth game.
