David Beckham has been making all the right noises in light of the Manchester City takeover. With his AC Milan team mate Kaka currently being linked to the bluenoses, Beckham insists that for him, there’s only one team in Manchester.
“I only care about Manchester United, personally,” Beckham said. “Manchester City are a team that has been bought by a company and there is a lot of money there now. But, for me, United are the only team in Manchester.”

Man Utd News 24/7

Good lad… he might have left united… but united will never be far away from him…
I would have him back now… as he always give his all for us.
Cue city fans’ jibes about ‘journeyman’/'plastic’ Becks.
David Beckham > LEGEND… That picture says it all, does’nt it? That epic night in Barcelona.
Thats right David, you tell Kaka that as well….i doubt he needs telling as he probably thinks the same!!
there’s only one david beckhaaaaaaaaam
Have always hated the showbiz/media bollocks surrounding him, but loved him at United.
Kaka did in fact say that if he played in the Premiership he would only play for Arsenal or United.I have said it before about Beckham. The man is a legend in my eyes.I grew up watching him emerge as a United player. The game in which he scored his first goal(against Galatasaray) was the second United match i ever saw.So ever since i have had a connection with him.If Fergie ever decided to resign a former United player i would like it to be Beckham.
Ignoring all the media bollocks…he always gave 110% for United one of my earlier memories was a match where we were 2-0 down to QPR I think it was(long time ago was a tiny one watching with my grandad and dad). All the players were dissapointed trudging about…this one QPR fella made a run into the box and got past our centre halve…Becks ran the length of the pitch to track back…made it into the pitch then hacked it off the line.
Gives his all for his country was the only player who gave a dammn after getting eliminated from the world cup.
Respect Becks Respect!
Shame he became a victim of his own success really with the fame and that, he’s a United legend and i’ll always have respect for him he’s only had good things to say about United since he left even after leaving on not so great terms, In my opinion he’s very under-rated as footballer because so many people just think of him as a celebrity. Still to this day nobody can ‘bend it like Beckham’ glad to see he’s playing football at a real club again in AC Milan instead of being over at LA Galaxy.
There’s only one David Beckham!
yes picture says it all .. one of the lads playing like we all would for the shirt .. let it be a lesson to others!!
T
United legend in my eyes. The way he came back after the disgraceful abuse he suffered from Ingerland fans showed great strength and character. Would like to see him back at United one day in some capacity. A very gifted footballer in my eyes. One of the best passers of a ball I have seen in over thirty years of watching football.
Unfairly castigated IMO by jealousfleet street as devoid of talent.
Always been nice about our club even though he left on bad terms = professionalism and love of the club IMO.
Of course he’ll never be the same player that played in the treble era, but I am v.happy to see his career hopefully end on a bright note at AC Milan rather than the relative doldrums of Major League Soccer (relative to the standard he was playing at before his move there!)
People say enthusiasim is not enough but then they are mising the point that Beckham can adjust hopefully in the way giggs has, scholes has etc -not saying hes AS talented, just that he can take lessons in longevity- – where better than AC where Maldini at 40 is still decent enough!!!
And yes ultimately his “team” (entourage, PR, decision advisros etc) + lifestyle + his other half = early exit.
BTW we were screwed by “United 4 life” Kunt Kenyon in his REAL deal:
20-25M + only 5M xtra in app. bonuses and NO IMAGE/MERCHANDISE percentage for the most recognised footballer on the planet?
Though off the pitch he isnt all nice guy, clean cut and smiles – google: Alderley Edge, a missing laptop, his “people” and the issue of a certain baby – ALLEGEDLY of course
If he had any chance of any involvment with us again, i reckon he woulld walk on broken glass to get back into OT.. thats wht i like about him..
He lived his dream playing for the team he supported as a kid…shame our wingers now dont do the tracking back etc what he always did…
Im sure in years to come SAF will say in his 5th autobiography that he was a little too hard on him..
I blame all the media bollox on posh… she fucked everything up for him..she wanted the hype. the press, the glamour… and unforunately he bought into it..
As soon as the spice twats lost any popularity… she basically piggy backed his career for her fame and thats what cost him his united career..as i said earlier though, he could still do a job for us.. even if it was coming off the bench.
i didn’t support him whem he played for Real. I’d really hated it.
That moment of his biography i didn’t exactly like. But anyway, sometimes it happens ..
teams come and go but there is only one utd, money carn’t buy tradition or pride beckham always gave us his best and knows how special utd are
SULLY [South Africa] – I agree with you but isn’t that picture taken from the 3-2 win in Turin against Juventus?
Superb player treated absymally by that dopey cunt McClaren…. Becks should off had loads more England caps. True that his skinny bint wanted fame at any cost and thats what fucked up his Utd career.
Also stabbed in the back by rentboy Terry for the England Captaincy
United Red uhmmm i thought it was the Nou Camp madness but after you’ve pointed out i might be wrong, i’m not so sure though. But thanks mate… Anyone?
I think its against Juventus, if you look at the banner in the back it looks more like Juve. Either way its a class picture
Big money comes and goes. United’s tradition and spirit means more than City’s current cash.
The way he left Old Trafford was not the sort of way he would have wanted but it is still obvious how much he loves Utd. I remember watching the fly on the wall tv program when he was at Madrid and he kept talking about how much he loved Utd. A true legend and still a great player. It is a pity that his celebrity lifestyle clouds some people’s judgement of him as a footballer. I hope he does well with Milan, I’ll always be a big fan of him unlike Ronaldo who is hard to like even though he’s still at Utd.
‘Legend’ doesn’t even begin to say it.
it is against juve
Victoria Beckham is a vacuous whore. Fuck her. Love Big Dave though.
Oh and for the record, the picture is from the semi against Juve when we got to the final.
we sold him at the right time…on the decline, always gave his all but we needed a different type of player on the wing as he got older…give it 10 years after he’s retired, tempered his advertising commitments a bit and bring him back as an ambassador for United…
Ronaldo’s quality + Beckham’s Work Rate + Scholes’ profile = Perfect.
Robecholes.
Peejay, I’d go more with Ronaldo’s pace, skill, dribbling + Beckhams work rate, delivery, looks + Scholes guile, passing, shooting = perfect.
I would call him Schobeckaldo though. Or Beschaldo.
victoria is a hot piece of arse and although she will probably be remembered for moaning about becks going to play in spain as much as ronaldos mum I can totally understand becks marrying her even if she probably is a vacuous whore.
However Victoria if you are free for a drink I would be happy to sit through any mindless rambling for a chance at your hole.
Still a legend …
Although being substituted on Saturday for Philip Senderos must have been a right kick in the proverbials !
themarkedman72, Ah you smooth talker you!
“Hot piece”, themarkedman72 ?
Jebus, she wasn’t even the fittest one in the Spice Girls!
As the Yanks say though, “Different (anorexic, pig-nosed) strokes for different folks”, I s’pose.
