Berbatov Injured As He Faces Thrashing From Vidic’s Serbia

Dimitar Berbatov was replaced in the first half of Bulgaria’s 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Serbia, with the injury believed to be his hamstring. He is now obviously a doubt for this weekend’s match against Aston Villa.

It could have been much worse for Bulgaria when considering that Serbia missed two penalties. Fortunately for Berbatov, he only had to endure half an hour!

In other International news, Nani and Ronaldo saw their country battered 6-2 by Brazil, something which will cheer Anderson no end when they’re back at Carrington.

Ji-Sung Park set up one of the goals in South Korea’s victory over Saudi Arabia.

Patrice Evra played for 90 minutes in France’s 0-0 draw against Uruguay, where he faced Diegoooo woooah.

Carlos Tevez played against a Darren Fletcher-less Scottish side, helping earn new boss Maradona a 1-0 win in Scotland.

John O’Shea got a full game whilst Darron Gibson got over an hour in Ireland’s defeat at home to Poland, whilst Jonny Evans got a full game in Northern Ireland’s defeat to Hungary.

Ryan Giggs and Rooney vs Villa.

Nani is my gut feeling man of the match.

Good news is that Dimi has reportedly told his agent he is ready to quit the national team, because he is sick of getting the blame for their losses.

Markus Revolver ….If dat’s true then that certainly is good news …..I don’t give a damn about the international matches …..some fans get a kick out of watching our players play against each other in such pointless friendlies …not me …..I have always hated them and will continue to do so …

Lets hope he is fit…coz he is a class act… but on the other hand.. might work in our favour.. coz we will need grafters when away from home this season…

wasnt the score line of brazil vs portugal 6-2?

Agree with Jonny: the silver lining in this will be the opportunity for Carlitos – who was apparently very active, lively, and effective in Glasgow – to team up with TheBoyWonder. And, SAF will no doubt want to have a fresh Berbatov (and Ronaldo) for Tuesday’s CL game in Spain because he’s made no bones about wanting to get into the round of 16 as soon as possible.

I’m thinking that the Portugese/Brazilians – Ronaldo, Nani, and Anderson – might not get the starting roles because of the long flights back from Brazil (what a tough life, eh ?).

But as long as UTD’s defenders are OK then this match should be quite winnable – Villa’s central defence is shaky and very unreliable – and a clean sheet should be worth three points.

Flamin nani, ron and andy wont be back until friday afternoon add to that fletchers, rio’s and berbas injury..along with wesley scholsey and hargo already out. We need our big guns firing against an inform villa…even with our great record.

Anyway you carlitos slaters…Did you watch his mom performance last evening..scotland or not…he was brilliant

Judging by his performances in our away games this season he will be no great loss. He was abysmal away to Arsenal, Liverpool and especially Chelsea, when he couldnt be bothered to chase Peter Cech down with the ball at his feet, even tho he was standing 5 years away!

I know he’s talented and gives United a different option up top, but is he worth 30 million pounds!? He was massively over priced, but United always have to pay over the odds for players.

I just haven’t took to him, he scored his first goal for United and you would have thought he was at a funeral with the look on his face. I dont buy that rubbish, he was dissapointed with missing that earlier chance has his reason for not celebrating, because he has hardly celebrated his other goals, altho he did manage a very slow jog with a hint of a smile on his face after scoring against Celtic, a collecters item.

I will support any player that wears the United shirt, but I dont trust Berbatov, is he really going to give his all for the team when things arent going well? I seriously doubt it!

Gary… i know he is extremely frustrating in the lack of work puts in.. it really fucks me off, when you see others running there arses off for the team… to me that is sommat that needs addressing…

BUT…. he is a phenomenol talent… and he is picking up the goals and his link up play is TOTAL…

His away perfomances havent been upto scratch… totally and utterley agree… but what i reckon is… lets give him a season, as we will develop him..

He didnt get here til transfer day.. so we gotta give him time… as i do believe he will be very important for us, come April/May time.

Berbatov is definately out according to reports that have just come out by his agent..
