If I was in Berba’s position (obviously with his footballing ability too..) I’d be pretty happy!

He is certianly a class act, but by christ he would have to perform 20 fuckin miracles last minute game winners and cover 20km a game this season to even be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Best, Charlton, Robbo, Roy Keane and Eric Cantona. there again if he scores 20 goals in the second half of the season and bags the winner against say the dippers in the champions league final, hell I’ll call him a legend then.

Berbatov is a great player with a great attitude towards our club, but he’s not been here long enough to be a legend and even then it takes alot to become a legend at this club.

Glad to see he likes it in Manchester, i love being a Manc so its nice to here that someone thats originally from Bulgaria likes Manchester aswell and come on it doesn’t rain thattttt much people dont half go on

Sir Alex Ferguson is a legend in his own time,
Duncan Edwards could have been a legend,
Bobby Charlton was a legend while his compatriots, George Best and Denis Law, were also legendary players,and,
now, Paul Scholes are in the final stages of great, great careers, while,
it would be argued by many that Brian Robson, Eric Cantona, and Roy Keane deserve this kind of recognition, too.
These guys have all been fabulous superstars, recognized as being a cut above the ordinary superstars of their time.

But, please, Dimitar Berbatov ? Don’t confuse years and years of top-flight service to the cause with three months of mediocrity, so far. To call Berbatov a “legend” is simply to debase the currency of greatness.
