Let’s not forget the 6-2 win at St. James’s Park in 2003. Great performance during the run that saw us overtake Arsenal (who of course were the bestest team in the history of the universe at the time) to get OUR trophy back!

The Roma game certainly deserves a mention. I think Scott, like many others, might be thinking of AC’s comprehensive defeat of us in the very next round! Still, forgetting events that went before and after, it was a classic. We’d come to seriously dislike the fascists.

Arsenal 2-4 United sticks most in my memory. I was always apprehensive before games at Highbury. I remember specifically hating the size of their pitch, however unfounded a concern it may have been.

Keane’s verbals, a young lad called Ronaldo giving the library a “shhhhhh” after equalising, Johnny’s classic chip. You scored John, celebrate it! Brilliant.

So many other good memories. Plenty of bad ones to keep our feet grounded, mind.

Well we could have tried to compete in the UEFA Cup after being knocked out of the competition…that is the only major trophy United has never won..

i remember watching the Milan game along with my priest who is a life long reds fan….tough to watch us losing with the priest next to me…I could not curse at all:)

I know how much it hurts losing to the dippers, i have quite a lot of freinds who support them, but we play them very often and although we want to win every game that does wont happen.Its not possibe The fact is we always bounce back from defeats.We won the league anyways last year

Losing to Milanl was bad becasue we had been great in Europe that season and i really felt we could win the CL that year. We won it next year though
