It stinks of a club trying to get it's fans to sing something "pc" and unoffensive. The scousers have done something similar with "the fields of anfield road" to the tune of fields of athenry(an irish folk song first made popular by munster rugby fans). While i am not saying any anthem needs to be offensive it is still cringe worthy to see this crap wheeled out week in week out. In amsterdam a few years ago we all sang James' "sit down" between the inter-benfica game and the united- ajax one and it was a laugh. United Road is a crap anthem. And I immediately thought of Glazer, because he's also American and if he put this guy up to singing it. It's a great song, I love it, but it's shame that it was sung by an American.
