Campbell: It’d Be Nice If We Both Could Win

Fraizer Campbell joined Manchester United’s youth set up when he was 10-years-old and spend 12 years at the club.

This weekend, United have a slim chance of winning the league if they beat Sunderland, and Campbell has admitted he wishes it was possible for us both to win.

“It would be nice if we could both win,” he admitted. “But I just want to win for Sunderland. If City lose and we play a 5-5 draw, that might be ideal! A lot of my family support United. They will definitely try and win it because they have still got a chance of winning the league. But we would like to finish the season on a high. It is the last home game for the fans, and that is important for us. The fact it is Manchester United is not on my mind at all. They know they need to score a few goals. They will make it difficult. But you would expect that from United anyway.”

A true proffesional who I wish all the best (but not on Sunday!).

Would be great if Sparky does us a favour on Sunday, then cups his ears to the Bitter fans then shakes Mancini hand winks and says enjoy the job; would be just deserts.

  2. jigpig says:

I don’t think a few goals is on the agenda, it’s too late for that. It’s a simple case of QPR parking a bus and hoping they can keep $hity out for 90 minutes. We just need make sure we win.

  3. gora says:

lets get this season over with and hope we do some serious biz in the offseason coz thats what we need. Lets buy a proven striker to replace beba, 2 more midfielder7 with kagawa and a proven right bck. We know for sure shitty will buy and so will chelski.

  4. Albert Ross says:

If football carries on for another 1000 years, most clubs will never be in as good a position to win the League as we are right now.

Even if city on average only dropped points at home once per 20 games, there’s a 5% chance that a win for us this weekend will bring home the title.

Most clubs will never be in with a shot on the last day, not in a thousand years.

We have a very real chance of winning our 20th this season.
Do our job by beating Sunderland, and may fortune favour the Reds.

  9. Costas says:

It would be nice if both us and QPR win.

  10. Redbilly says:

Costas- if QPR win , that would be the choke of the PL never mind the season. Let’s hope it plays on city’s mind .

  11. Marq says:

After Kompany is sent off for another 2 footed lunge when City is leading 2-1, Mancini brings on Hargreaves to take the piss at us. Hargreaves scores an own goal after Tevez, running his eyes closed, deflects a Jones mis-hit cross onto Hargreaves in the 91st min

  12. Redbilly says:

Marq- you have it wrong my friend . Revez will intentionally score two own goals , then subbed he will confront Mancini with ‘ thatz what you get for treating me like a dog’

  13. Redbilly says:

We could both ‘ win ‘ if we draw and city lose . Putting a tenners in a city loss. Better odds than the lottery…. Just. :-)

  14. Albert Ross says:

I hope there will be cameras focussing on Phil Jones as he realises that we’ve won the league.

  15. Redbilly says:

Albert Ross – Phil ‘ the gurner’ jones. Would be a delight to watch his face And watch fergie back flipping with nani across the pitch .

  16. red_bicycle says:

I will put my money on city draw, united win!

Damn I must miss those where u put ur money threads.

  17. Albert Ross says:

Redbilly – geriacrobatics might be added to the Olympics after SAF’s floor routine!

  18. Redbilly says:

Albert Ross- he’s guaranteed gold is the wily old fox. It’s hard to comprehend the title could be ours come Sunday evening. Yes the odds are heavily stacked against us but…. The chance does exist. If it happens, it will be the sweetest for me.

  19. JT says:

I wish Fraizer (or Bardsley) were lining up for Queen’s Park 2morrow….
