    where is brown? I think fergie will play him in the CL game, he isn’t on the bench either. he was superb against wolves.

    THis is a game for Scholesy i feel. We are not against a team that will expose his lack of pace. My main concern is defending Delap’s throw ins.

    Costa,I don’t think there’s any need to worry about Delap’s throws.It was a novelty when it came and most teams have learnt to defend it.We had no problems last year and I don’t think we will this year.

    This is the team I wanted to see (with the possible inclusion of Giggs on either wing, but I guess he is being saved for midweek).
    As I said in another post, Carrick may need a run of games or whatever but at the minute’s he’s too much of a liability to play in a potential banana skin like this game – Fletcher and Scholes have been our best pairing this season by far so I think it’s a wise move. Maybe if we are winning heavily bring Carrick on for a good bit, but he hasn’t earnt the right to be starting.

    Yep, we dealt with them well last year, but VDS was in charge in those games. Foster will have to be as alert as VDS was in those games. I hope Rio is starting to get back to his best too. Either way, it’s a very strong midfield quartet that should be able to create many opeinings.
