Let him take them back to being a respectable force in the game. Whilst fulfilling that ambition, I've no doubt it will build his appetite to get back into the club side of things, which most managers prefer. He'll doubtlessly also have that ambition to prove himself in one of the best leagues, and there will be plenty of time to do that. Larry could easily spend a long time at United and then manage France, but the French calls for him to succeed Domenech will be overwhelming. I'd rather he didn't come to us with plans for the future. Anyway, that's in the ideal world. Anybody who has watched the game long enough knows that football is never so straight forward.
