Gibson and Simpson were the only outfield players who I thought excelled. Some of you are easily pleased though. Campbell and Eagles are rubbish!. They are both all huff and puff, but no finish, no end product. How Eagles kept missing his goal scoring opportunites, I don’t know. My Grandad could have scored from the opportunities he had lol. Campbell will never make it in the 1st team – sorry but it’s just my opinion. I don’t rate him at all. And Eagles has had his chances, and blown them when he has played in the first team, apart from the goal at Everton, he has done nothing of worth. Carrick is beginning to think he is Pele now lol, with his taking penalties and all. He had a great game though, as did Scholsy. Gary was ok, and the Roon is on the way back to scoring form again. Can’t wait to get back on the terraces this season. Come on you reds.

It was really good to see Gary back out on the pitch. It made me laugh a little when I saw him get frustrated with a call, and backheel the ball into the stand…shows that even after 16 years of play, and more than a year in the stands being injured, he’s still got that competitive fire in him. He’s class.

Thought the game was alright, nothing to exciting. Was glad that United had some decent performances and I thought Wayne Rooney’s quality was beginning to show. Had some good passes, touches, and before his header goal made a good run to get the penalty. Carrick played ok and was obviously tired come the end of 90 minutes. All and all good game and good to see some of the younger players playing ok.

Great to see Wazza on the scorsheet. Decent goal too. Hopefully he will rise this season to be the world class player we all know he should be.

And I was impressed with the Aberdeen fans, very nice touch.

Campbell impressed me.
The white away kit didnt look that bad. I t actually looked nice!
Rooney scored, thankfully. That will help him this season.

Nice reception from the Aberdeen fans, the new kit looks horrible on. I didn’t mind it before, but the colour around the neck looks weird.

As for the game, good to see Martin, Gibson and Eagles back and Rooney score a headed goal.

Well Earlier i thought it was not as good as the Black one we had last season,
But its not that Bad.
And anyway, why does it matter what color a team wears.
We won our first European cup in ’68 wearing blue.
