Carvalho: I could join United

William Carvalho has become the latest player to admit that he could be a Manchester United player next season, although is keen to wait until the end of the season before making a decision.

“It’s nice being praised and to know there are some big clubs interested in me,” he said. “It could be Manchester United or Real Madrid. It’s just nice to have a great European club after me, but at the moment I’m just totally focused on Sporting and doing my best until the end of the season. At the end of the campaign, we will see what happens.”

The defensive midfielder made his way up through the ranks at his current club, Sporting Lisbon, but this is his first season to be a regular in the first team.

The 21-year-old was first called up to the national side last November and is now almost certainly guaranteed his spot on the plane to Rio in the summer.

United have reportedly watched him live eight times already this season.

Pardon my cynicism, but if Real Madrid are in for him then we will lose out.

Olympiakos(played the same line up as against us) v.Panathinaikos 0:3…nice,nice…that shows we played shite…for all who thought we played a great side who are mighty at home..blablabla

  4. GingerPrince18 says:

Oh while we are scouting get Elaquim Mangala too. Another great prospect. Perfect to replace Rio and Vida. The boy got both defensive and technical attribute to be a world class CB in the near future.

But he also mentioned Real Madrid so my hopes are not up yet.

  7. The_red_devils says:

His release clause is said to be around £37 million, If we could get him for around 20 million, it could prove to be a good buy.

The summer transfer saga is starting early this year.

Agents know United are going shopping and are making sure their players are in the shop window and will pay decent wages. Kroos could triple the wages he’s getting at BM if he came for example.

This is the lad we should be signing, no doubt about that, We have had him watched atleast 13 times so their is genuine interest, It will probably take the 37million quid to get him, but it will be money well spent, He will be the best midfielder in the world for a decade, Hes like a young Viera just with more talent, get him signed Moysie, also their is apparently some interest in Carlos Mane, a young winger who has only made 12 or so appearences at Sporting but is meant to be a very talented boy!
