Chelsea Boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has spoken about the ‘United way’ of playing football ahead of our match this afternoon, with him giving credit where it’s due to our manager and team.

“This year I think United have played differently,” said Ancelotti. “Last year, they had Ronaldo as a striker. They no longer have him but have still improved a lot. Rooney, this year, did a fantastic job, along with United’s wingers. A lot of matches were tactically very good. They don’t allow any chances, are very compact as a team and prefer to defend well and counter. They’re very able to do this because Nani, Valencia and Giggs are very fast and have technical quality. Sir Alex Ferguson is always a very good coach and this year he had a lot of problems, starting the season without Ferdinand and Vidic but still playing in the United way. This is important. They have a very clear identity of football and have maintained it. In the very important games this season they’ve used only one striker, Rooney. That was enough because he’s scored 34 goals but they used the wingers to control the right side and counter.”
