Chicharito: De Gea Is Unbelievable

Following the stick that came for his first couple of appearances, David de Gea has shut up his critics after pulling off some great saves in our games this season.

Kenny Dalglish sang the praises of our goalie following his performance at Anfield yesterday, questioning why the press had targeted the Spaniard, whilst Javier Hernandez has spoken highly of De Gea today.

“David is an unbelievable player,” said Hernandez. “He is working day by day and the good thing is that he wants to work. He knows that to play in this shirt, first of all, you need to enjoy it. But also he is aware that it is a big responsibility. He is handling it very well. He is only 20. He could play for 20 more years if he wants.”

  2. Number7 says:

Love DDG. Top saves, great concentration and incredible distribution (can play in midfield :P ).

Chicharito himself is bloody awesome. The way he celebrates like a loon is amazing. Celebrates every
goal like he himself scored it. Always has the perfect things to say. Top man.

  3. YS says:

he is….n so are you Little Pea

  4. Zibbie says:

Lindy as keeper DDG as sweeper?

  5. Zibbie says:

Bloody Mary’s are so, so good. Almost a shame to use Grey Goose and Stoli in them. We have set up a Bloody Mary Buffet with like 20 different condiments to add if you wish. And I wish. Ruby red slippers and BM’S, uummmmmmm…

  6. Costas says:

It’s a bit embarassing for the rest of the team that our rookie goalie has been as busy as he has been this season and has played as big a part in our last 5 league points as anyone. Great to see him shut up the doubters though. More of the same lad.

  7. redrider says:

    20 years… dreaming!

Mixed emotions regarding the draw. Good point must say.
    Come on $hitteh!

  8. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ Costas. Don’t think he has shut anyone up yet mate. He’s not getting the credit he deserves from the mainstream. Yesterday he was man of the match for me. Two world class saves, that deluded cunt Sousness (who let Nani slip away from Benfica) played down his save from Kuyt. Well anyone who saw the Spurs game today saw Ba score from there with Friedel carrying the ball into his net. Not sure VDS would have stopped that.

Its only some guys on here and hardcore fans that appreciate De Gea, the rest follow the media like lemmings. Then again these same cunts are the ones who give Evans grief who I thought had a good game yesterday.

  9. Zibbie says:

Mr. Kebab, the back 4 looked better, Evra played better, Evans played well, Rio has lost a step but he had one to loose. Smalling played large. Jones needs games and SAF is giving them to him. The Capo is ready for action.
Knock, knock. Who is there says Vida. Shity. Shity who. I’m shiting my pants because I have to play you. Oh hello Mario.

  10. WillieRedNut says:

Best performance in a United shirt. Looked assured all day.

  11. Zibbie says:

Jello Willie, better every game. Working hard, seal blubber shakes to beef’em up!!!

  12. Zibbie says:

eplfan. eplfan? A character in in the Hobbit? Like the name.

  13. MG says:

    Mr. Kebab

Would that make me Sir Kebab?

  14. mikekelly12 says:

    NRD
Evans had a good game? Are you deluded??!! The boy had a belter, right up there with De Gea I thought. Looking more like the Johnny Evans we had such high hopes for.

  15. WillieRedNut says:

    Jello Zibbie!

  16. mikekelly12 says:

    New thread alert!

  17. dannysoya says:

DDG is my hero this yr. I might get a goalie Jersey for the first time ever with his name on it.

  18. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@mikekelly – I’m sorry I don’t jizz my pants every time one of our players plays well. Saying Evans had a good game is sufficient.

If you prefer he had a game an supercalifragilisticexpialidocious game. Is that more to your taste. Deluded my rear end.

  19. Red Neck says:

De Gea had shown great strength of character since joining United. Not many keepers, especially one as young as he is would have survived the pressure of being a Manchester United goalie. A brave signing by Sir Alex, yet once again an inspired one it would seem.

  20. Gary says:

The stick he was getting was nothing short of a disgrace especially from a few fans on here. Okay I am guilty of sometimes having a pop at players like Evan’s recently who to his credit was probably our best outfield player on Saturday. But to get on a kids back after a big move where he is learning a new language and culture, learning to drive plus playing for arguably the biggest club in the world in the most unforgiving of positions was bang out of order and they should be ashamed to rubbish him so early. He’s shown a hell of a lot of courage I already really like this kid and glad to have him as our number 1.

  21. FletchTHEMAN says:

David de Gea was my man of the match by some margin. He knows Linde wants the job and understands that the depth goes deeper than that as well.
But honestly, the entire defense showed up yesterday. Rio and Evra were huge and showed character with diving c*nts like Suarez stinking up the place. Entire back 4 showed up and showed something yesterday. Long may that continue. To say that Rio and Vida are not assured a spot says it all about what it means to be a United player. Come on to all the players. Earn your place, fight for this shirt. Get stuckin. Next game will be even bigger so it starts now. It starts today!

  22. T4M says:

I think I’m in the minority who manage to give evans the credit he deserves.Long may it continue

  23. Samuel - united WE stand says:

De gea was always gonna be a top keeper, his potential is huge and currently he is not the finished article but he’ll get there hopefully.

  24. Utd rocks City sinks says:

De Gea is going 2 the top keeper Hope cleverly and young will play at the weekend!!!

De Gea will play on saturday against man city

  25. rabiuc says:

i so much lyk chicharito he is awesome nd gr8 kip it man ”chicha”

  26. ianoha says:

NRD i was 1 of the people on here last season slating Evans espc after the west ham carling cup game but to be fair the lad has come back n has looked very comfortable this season…as for ddg what a top top keeper n will be for many years at O/T.1 of my mates is a goalkeeper n said he`s not sure bout him i think the lad is class n we should`t even have a blog to justify his quality

  27. utd_fc says:

Evans is a really good defender. Especially given his current form. He could probably walk into most teams in the league. But I don’t think he can break into our back 4. He faces enough competition from vidic and ferdinand, even with ferdinands injuries he’s not gonna get game time with Smalling and Jones.

On topic, De Gea has been slowly making that number 1 spot his own, and I believe establish himself as one of the top keepers in the league, and with our coaches, I don’t see that being too far down the line.

  28. hangbola says:

for me De Gea was the man of the match, despite of Chicharito scored an important goal. he’s bloody awesome made a big save especially denied monkey Suarez goal on the first half.

  29. wiuru says:

Off topic anyone have a link to video showing Suarez pulling young Fabios hair straight after the Nani incident ? last season.
Youd think Suarez was Christ on the cross according to the scouse rabble !

  30. kevingee united says:

awesome lad; de gea….i always knew he was gonna come out good.all he needed was some time to settle down and frankly he has done that well.. thanks to the whole team who stood up to the task even when he had his blushes…..

  31. bayobuya says:

Top lad! Really did well against all the presure the media, which Im sure he never had to deal with @ Atletico. Man of the match for this one and has contributed immensely to our current league position. Wish he continues his fine form.
