Chicharito hails competition amongst young stars at United

Hernandez has highlighted the young players at United, are key to maintaining the hunger and competition within the squad.

With Danny Welbeck having made an impressive start to the season, and the success of Phil Jones, Chicarito spoke to Inside United about the mix of the youth and experience within the club, as well as the healthy rivalry between the players.

“You look around on the training pitch and there are almost 30 players but only 11 can start a game so it’s tough. It’s not a problem. I’ve come to learn that there will always be competition, at any club”

“On the training ground everybody wants to do their best, they want to prove what they can do and earn a spot in the team. We have a lot of young players who are hungry to do well and that helps inspire the rest of the squad”

“They may have been here for many years and won a lot of trophies but they still have a lot of desire. I think we have a good mix of youth and experience and that will be very important for us.”

God I love this kid, and to think he confessed that he almost quit the game while he was back in Mexico….. Future legend in the making no doubt. Always says the right things, down to earth and humble as they come….

We love you Little Pea, now bang them goals and show us that glorious celebration of yours

  2. Gora says:

Level headed chap.glad he accepts the competition from dannyboy, this can only help the team.seems our players are united, nothing like tevez not happy with de jong getting in a match instead of him.the berba speech about saf was brilliant considering his plight atm.marchda also said exactly e same thng.this is how it feels to be united.

  3. Costas says:

Chicharito is lucky he is not in competition with Dong. ;)

  4. kanchelskis says:

Mickey Owen is doing a Q&A now on Twitter, and has just come out with this gem:

@themichaelowen who’s the best manager you’ve ever played under?” Alex Ferguson

    Hahahaha! Suck it up, Scousers!

  5. Fred says:

A lot of competition tbf, he has played under such luminaries as Roy Evans, Joe Kinnear and Alan Shearer.

  6. Fred says:

At Madrid, his managers were Mariano García Remón and Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

    No, me neither.

  7. MEXICO is RED says:

Last friday, Chicharito scores against Serbia during the FIFA break, all night long two Serbian defenders from Chelsea and City were made several fouls over Chicharito, both were “awarded” wtih yellow card” finally one of the was “awarded” wtih red card and penalty. That was the first time were Chicharito lost his mind because was involve during a discusion with one Serbian defender. As soon as he scored from the penalty, he was changed to avoid any possible issue.
    What a count those serbians…

  8. Fred says:

Greetings to all Mexican Reds! :)

LOL thank you for the info. Fuck Ivanovic and Kolarov. In fact, since they don’t have Vidic anymore, fuck Serbia too! LOL just kidding all you Serbian Reds. ;)

It sounds like Chicharito responded to their provocation in the best possible way – by scoring his penalty. 8)

He seems to be a “dead eye shooter” from the penalty spot. I’d like to see him take a few penalties for us in the future.

    @kanchelskis Cheers mate,

But the team just confirmed Owen out for 6 weeks

  11. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

I love the pea he is just a class act

  12. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    @Sandeep, :lol:

@Fletch, Well, at least, he is good for Horse-talk. :P

Chicharito is an amazing talent and a truly great human being. He is one of those people who realizes that what he has got is truly special; that many others with talent are not afforded the opportunity to come and play for the biggest club in world football. He understand what it means to have values and what it means to have a loving and supporting family. The fact that he has all this in 2011 when most players are money-hungry mercenaries and have little or no values at all, makes him even more special. Honestly, I would love him to bits even if he were only an average player. That he is a truly exceptional talent and the closest we have come to replacing Van Nistelrooy since the Dutchman’s departure is just like icing on the cake.

  13. SRD12 Sabah Red Devils says:

An amazing talent … just like the goal-poachers of recent years like van Nistelrooy, Solksjaer, Cole, Yorke and many others. Good thing he didn’t quit playing prior to signing for us.

  14. Fred says:

So true, Balaji. Javier is a true family man, and luckily his family are all class. I watched a great documentary about the Hernandez-Balcazar clan last year – they’re a great bunch. :)

Off-topic: Turns out I was right about him being a “dead-eye shooter”. Here he is pictured just before sinking a three-pointer from way downtown:

The Internationals break has been good for United. Rooney rested. Young and Jones in the game for top win v Spain.

Today Will Keane makes the U21 bench for Belgium vs England. Looks like Amos is rested.

    http://www.thefa.com/England/mens-under-21s

    Should be available on FATV

  16. Fred says:

Good luck to Billy Keane! :)

  17. Costas says:

Any truth to a rumor I heard that Owen is out for 6 weeks?

  18. Costas says:

Sorry, my apologies. FletchTHEMAN confirmed it just above.

Good thing about this squad. We’ll never be short on strikers. Berba and Diouf will tear Palaca apart. 8)

  19. nm says:

Fletch – Hello pal. Amos isnt rested, Pearce plays some other mug in nets. Never heard of half the cunts. Good to see Henderson is the only one from a top six club from the tournament in the summer that is still in the under 21′s as he isnt good enough!! Rodwell, Jones, Smalling, Cleverley all had call ups. Sturridge and Danny too.

  20. CedarsDevil says:

Who on earth are Palaca? :-)

  21. Fred says:

Costas – easy way to remember if Owen is injured or not: look what day of the week it is; if there’s a “Y” in it, Owen is injured.

  22. Fred says:

Cristal Palaca are a Portuguese team. We’ll have them in the Europa League when we get bounced by Benfica and Basel.

  23. CedarsDevil says:

Read an interview by Henderson saying he wants to pip Becks for the GB team captaincy! ha?

Not saying it should be Becks but who hell does this kid think he is eh?

  24. Fred says:

Captaincy? LOL what a cunt he sounds.

  25. Costas says:

Good, make fun of my typos. But remember… No one does them with such style and elegance.

    @Fred

Heh, it must be in the name. Whether it’s someone’s first or last name. ;)

  26. CedarsDevil says:

Thanks for clearing that up Fred

  27. FletchTHEMAN says:

nm Cheers, That you Neil? Getting confused with the nm then NM business ;)

Butland is actually a really talented kid, been first choice since U18 me thinks.
Most of the United lads have moved up to the senior team which explains the dirth of United players.
Good to see Will Keane make the bench for the second game running. Hope he gets more than the 10′ he got v Iceland I think it was.

Here is the U21 team v Belgium at the Stade Charles, Tondreau, Mons

England Team: 1 Jack Butland, 2 Adam Smith, 3 Nathaniel Clyne, 4 Jason Lowe, 5 Martin Kelly, 6 Craig Dawson, 7 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 8 Jordan Henderson (c), 9 Marvin Sordell, 10 Josh McEachran, 11 Sammy Ameobi…

Subs 12 Jon Flanagan, 13 Jason Steele, 14 Gary Gardner, 15 Lewis Dunk, 16 Ross Barkley, 17 Jacob Butterfield, 18 Will Keane

  28. Fred says:

Buttland. Think I’ve seen a porno with that name.

  29. CedarsDevil says:

Just pissed my self with laughter at that last post

  30. FletchTHEMAN says:

Costas. Cheers mate. Is there any more news on Scholesy getting the reserves post? THAT Would be interesting. News of the week for me THB.

  31. Costas says:

    @FletchTHEMAN

The latest I heard was that Nick Barmby was filling the post at Hull until the Joyce thing clears up. So there’s a slight possibility that he may not leave after all. Scholes will take over that spot eventually one would thing. His biggest obstacle was Gary Nev, but he prefers to own Sky Sports like he owned left wingers back in the day. :)

  32. CedarsDevil says:

Was reported in the Mirror that Scholes will be promoted to reserves team manager, posted the link somewhere

  33. Sandeep1878 says:

Hello Cedars my good friend, hoe you are well,

Yes read about my scholesy, apparantly Hull are chasing Joyce, if they succeed PS18 will move up the ladder..

and one fine day he will have a fierce comptetion with Red Nev Giggsy, Ole for that world’s best club managerial position :P

due to the complexity, Manchester United will then play under 4 managers who are Red Devils to the core :P

Not to mention that Big Edwin will be the goal keeping coach :P

  34. Fred says:

…and Becks will design our kits. 8)

  35. CedarsDevil says:

    Hiya sandeep

I am fine my good friend…. The likes of Scholes and co will only be competing for the no 2 position buddy…. After Sir Alex there can ONLY be one number 1 in his place

  36. Fred says:

    The Special One. 8)

  37. CedarsDevil says:

Course he is special, very special to be precise

  38. Fred says:

    So who is it?

  39. Sandeep1878 says:

    Cedars,

    yeah buddy :)

    Fred,

Lol about becks and kit :)

how about Costas being incharge of Medical staff? :P

  40. CedarsDevil says:

    Fred

    You seriously asking?

  41. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

Paul scholes is well and truly my favourate footballer of all time I do hope he becomes a top coach as well. I still buzz off when I heard Rio calling him Sat Nav, when professional footballers cream over your ability then you know your special

  42. Fred says:

    I’m serious, bro.

  43. CedarsDevil says:

Such a pity Robbo never cut it in management at the high level

  44. CedarsDevil says:

    Err Ole bro!

  45. Fred says:

Ahhh, that’s who I thought you probably meant. Thanks!

  46. NBI Red Onion says:

    Ronaldo will design our earrings.

    Cantona will be our bard.

    City will be our clown.

  47. CedarsDevil says:

Err you’re welcome, never know with you when you’re taking the piss or not you bugger! :-)

  48. Fred says:

    LOL no worries, Cedars.

Nice suggestions, NBI. Roy Keane can manage the team we enter into the Premier Canine League.

  49. FletchTHEMAN says:

RE KIT design: We need Someone to do a better job. Nike is dross!

Did ya get a look at the released kits for next hear. Tartan background.
Well maybe if it is to honor Fergie, but (@@) !

  51. soren says:

@Fred I also saw this documentary, was before of Word Cup, her sister looks like Chico. ha ha.
    @Cedars Hola!!!:)

  52. Fred says:

LOL Fletch. I think that kit is meant to be a tribute to Sir Alex. Here’s some more pics of it:

    http://realityfootball.wordpress.com/2011/11/06/manchester-united-201213-kit-leaked/

No matter the intentions behind it, it’s a shocker imho. Hopefully it’s an elaborate ploy to throw the bootleggers off the scent of the real kit.

  53. Fred says:

LOL yes Soren, she’s quite pretty. She lives in Manchester now. I haven’t seen her in town yet, but I’m still hopeful! :P

  54. FletchTHEMAN says:

Fred, Yup, thats them. Sends shivers down the spine that kit. Berba will have to leave then. Not even he can make that kit look GQ !

    HelpUs!

  55. CedarsDevil says:

    soren

Hola indeed my good friend! Hope you are well….. Have to retire for a much needed nap

    Catch you guys later

  56. Fred says:

    Sweet dreams, Cedars. :)

@Soren – his father also looks just like him, but also looked a little bit like Berbatov when he was younger imo. This is why I had a feeling that Chicharito would forge a good relationship with Berba!

  57. soren says:

@Fred Yes, beautiful siblings, say hello to my sister in law ha ha.
    @Cedars Sweet Dreams!!

  58. soren says:

    ha ha Daddy Berba

  59. Fred says:

Although after watching it back, the resemblence may have been in my imagination.
