Javier Hernandez has claimed that after finishing the club’s 2nd highest scorer last season, he won’t be obsessing over setting a goal target for this season. He recognises that whilst his contribution will be important, he rates trophies over any personal accolades.
“I’ve never had a goal target,” Chicharito told Inside United. “I don’t want to be obsessed with scoring goals, I don’t want to be only that player who only scores goals, and if I score goals I’ve played well and if I didn’t score goals I played badly. It’s more about doing my best for the team – if the goals come then great, but if someone else scores instead of me then it’s still great for the United fans and for the club. You can never play one man against 11, and one player can never score all the goals by himself. If the goals are coming then good, but as I’ve always said, I would swap every one of my goals for a title with Manchester United.”

Man Utd News 24/7

What’s not to like about Chicharito? I really hope he makes it BIG TIME at this club. He is very humble, always trying to improve himself. One of the many good things about this club. Wish you all the best in the new season as we get our title back. COME ON UNITED!!!!
Love the kid
Long Live hernandez, Really love this kid. Shame on those who want him to be sold.
Nice sentiment, but, when selected, he’s in the team to score goals. Especially as it is looking like we will only have one main striker in most games next season.
I want him to marry my daughter.there is nothing about him to dislike.
Im a big fan of his, even more so when I watched documentary when he first came to united, was like an hour long and every time the mentioned the club or football his eyes literally lit up and his wee cheeky smile came out! Love his humble approach!
Great fox in the box and so many are calling him poor and wanting him sold but I really believe with Kagawa we now have the supply from the middle of the park that will help the miniature Mexican shine! Viva la Hernandez!
GGMU!!!!!
Good player, but shouldn’t start matches.I believe he should be brought in when defenders begin to tire and lose concentration. But to start matches,no.
Great Guy…good footballer..
Just keep improving mate and you’ll score plenty of goals and help the club to trophies in the process…
Our mexican Ole he is…superb impact player…
Hernandez
I would have swapped my ex wife for a chance to French kiss you, and I mean that in a non gay way of course…………Nothing against gays mind you
The more I heard the lad speak, the more I fall in love with this guy in a very heterosexual sense of course!
I love the way how our players talk first about the team goal and then about their individual goals! That is what’s more significant in a team, players who want to sacrifice the individual accolades for the team objective and not acting like prima donnas of the world!
*hear* …damn typos!
Why the fuck are posts coming out funny? Anyway I am pissing off
Afternoon Prasan
@ Cedars
Good afternoon my friend..yes, it is the italics effect I suppose! How are you doing? Going for a walk by any means?
Shit happens Javier. Even if you swapped them, our defence would still find a way to fuck up against Everton.
Little Pea… Just keep inproving fella.
I agree pea should b a super sub.talks only of the club.tear them nxt season javier.lav u.
Viva Viva Viva Little Pea!!!!
Bit of good news. Frimpong has been only fined, not banned, after admitting calling someone a ‘Yid’ on Twitter. Surely the FA won’t have the gall to be any more punitive to Rio, so we should have him for Goodison.
Jelavic vs Jones and a rusty Vidic? No thanks.
Wish this kids first touch was as good as his attitude and humility are.
Second highest scorer for the club, huh? Wasn’t he supposed to have had a shit ugly season?
“Looking forward” to Hernandez next season. I better watch if I’m off side!
Ohh, swapping goals for a title, so that’s what Torres did last season…..
Ash
Who wants Chico sold, thats utter madness.
If Rio gets banned I’ll buy a ‘I love Big Malc’ t-shirt, hat and face mask and go and shout ‘Show me the money!’ on the concourse in the Stretford End against Fulham. Ergo, there’s not a cat in hells chance he’ll get anything other than a fine and a warning. Bitter scousers and rent boys trying to equate Rio’s situation to those of their own bigots are just clueless (as well as classless but we all knew that anyway!)
very interesting to wondering a smart pass from kagawa to the wild movement of hernandez
I didnt think there was anything wrong with his season last year. He had a sophomore year which is common in all sports and Wellbeck got the chance from the off and never looked back. I realise Sir Alex has said something to the effect that Hernandez will be back better next year but I honestly think he said that for a reason. Probably to tell Wellbeck that your replaceable and life goes on if he doesnt sign his contract rather than Hernandez was awful. Imagine if it was Caroll or the buck toothed dago they would have been calling the manager out for not giving me more chances – Hernandez = class
Lil Pea you go lad, make SAF have a cow picking between U Dan and Rooney!!!!!!!!!!!
For some a cheer out loud zib is back to work!!!!!!!!! I will be gone all day.
Giggs12, my intent was never to have a go at you man. I read back. Never meant to seem to direct my hostilities over the cultural gap between our lands your way. I got over the greedy fucks 25 years ago. So hard to see your beloved team become the worlds team.
The world has picked the PL to follow. With that a bloody nightmare for life long Manchester MUFC fans.
MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL OF YOU MANCHESTER OR BRITISH MUFC FANS.
we are not going away, more on the way every day.
Zibster – you’re always welcome. A breath of fresh air to this here blog.
Brooka
Cant wait to see that
Costas
Its the United way mate as you well know. We never make it easy on ourselves
lad needs more playtime to show his potential but he can be a super sub as well if required
Wooww I feel a bit dizzy with this italic style..
On topic: he passed the second year syndrome nicely. We’ll see more action from him this year.
Great attitude. Guess somethings can never change. I dont think he will ever be a messi but will always be a great player for us. Would rather have him having a poor season like lasr year and still score as many as he diid rather than a world class suarez who will score less goals.
So would we, Cheech. So would we.
@Goat
True pal. Although this was one of those cases where we made it too difficult. An 8 point gap was too relaxing for us, so we thought “What the hell, lets allow City to tie it up and take it to the final day”.
The funny thing about the last 2 games of last season is that if you look at the chances we missed, we could have pulled back the goal difference. Hernandez would go and pick up the ball after every goal against Swansea and take it back to the half way line. He won me over with his attitude that day.
Easily could have thrashed Swansea 5 or 6-0 that day. Their cunt of a goal keeper was wasting time as early as the 20th minute and the ref let it go.
Hernandez’s second season reminded me of Solskjaer’s second season. Great in the first not so good in the second because of injuries. As finishing goes miles better than Welbeck.
NRD, I remember optimistically thinking that United, in the last chance saloon, facing the prospect of surrendering their title to Manchester fucking City of all people, would have gone out all guns blazing and rammed five or six past Swansea and four past Sunderland. Lord knows that’s what United teams of the past would have done. But no, the best the current incarnation of United could muster was 2-0 and 1-0. Brilliant.
And we’re talking about two mid-table clubs who had nothing to play for, let’s be clear.
NRD
Hi pal, you well? Yeah noticed your mention of Robbo the other day. Bugger, you know my soft spot!
On Hernandez, I agree has a lot of Ole about him on every level…..Humble lad and great finisher. I just scream my lungs out when he scores, I love his goal celebrations
@ Fred – I was at the Swansea game optimistic like when we played Stoke in 2010 last season chanting we’re going to win 10-0. One little kid joined in and that was it.
The crowd was as flat as our performance which as you all know my feelings about that. People over the age of 18 who don’t sing inside OT do not deserve to be there.
The Newcastle result deflated the players which is unacceptable only a few were trying, ditto Sunderland.
Those 2 games along with the cit-eh game was very un-Man United like. Anyone remember the Real Madrid game from 2003. When we were 3-2 down we were still chanting we’re going to win 7-3 all the way till the last minute.
Squad still needs improving IMO if we are to recapture the title. We will pick up injuries and already have in defence AGAIN, can’t rely on the notion IF everyone stays fit because that has bitten us on the arse consistently for the last 4 years.
@ Cedars – Good afternoon to you Cedars. At home injured at the moment, getting frustrated sitting indoors.
NRD
What the fuck is wrong mate? How did you injure yourself?
The way these posts are appearing is doing my head in
The baby face assasine
i don’t care if he play all matches next season and score å single goal!
So far, he justified his position with 20goals last two season and 12 goals frm limited chances he got last season.
He always score important goals!!!
He’s humble, å will be satisfy with what ever he play this season
i can never forget what he did for during CHAMP19ON
i just love this guy…
GGMU~we’re UNITED
i just love this
Just clumsy really. Went round my Mum’s to sort her loft out, bringing down some China and other shit. Fell out and box landed on my ankle and foot. Wouldn’t have been that bad but it was my left leg, broken my metertarsal in that foot twice before so I can’t put any weight on it. Should be okay with all the home remedies. Soaking in hot water and trying to walk around as much as I can. I should be okay in a week but only so much TV you can watch!!!
I don’t take pain killers and I’ve quit the green as well, so very tetchy mood swings.
NRD
All the enthusiasm and voice was sucked out of Old Trafford when Everton equalised! That was the season over mentally from my point of view.
NRD
Sorry to hear that pal, however in the famous words of Billy Connolly, ‘terrible at the time, yet funny as fuck’
Latest on me Jimmy James…………He’s stuck in a 6 inch pipe. Although the said pipe is only 2 foot long, over three quarters of the bugger is stuck inside it…… Firemen are on the scene trying to free him
NRD – yeah, spot on in everything you wrote. The crowd was so flat after the Newcastle-City result but they didn’t need to be; it was a long shot but as all we could do was go out and smash Swansea, do the same to Sunderland and hope that City only beat QPR by a narrow margin (that part actually happened, amazingly.) Ashley Young had the right attitude, running to retrieve the ball after he scored and get it back to the halfway line.
Sadly we just weren’t up to the task. Man United, legendary for our relentless attacking football, needed to run up a cricket score and the best we could do was 2-0. It could have been a story for the ages, couldn’t it? “Remember when we blitzed Swansea and Sunderland to pip City to the title on goal difference?” We would have laughed our cocks off. But to quote Gandalf the White: there never was much hope – just a fool’s hope. This current United team is too soft imo, physically and mentally.
Cedars
The wee man often falls in his pint pot on match days!!
Mike
I have to admit mate that I find your posts to be class, world class actually
Cedars
It’s because I’m illiterate mate! Thanks all the same. Just watching this Lucas Moura lad for Brazil. Nothing much to report as yet at half time.
shame on he, who wants this guy sold. Bless u chica. U will get beta along d way.
Mike
Is our little Rafa playing?
Molde vs Basel today at 6………..Get the fuck IN…….Win this tie and the lads are in the group stages
OLE OLE OLE OLE
Come on Basel you Swiss beauties!!
@ Cedars – It was funny really. Cut my head as well (not sure how) and my brother goes (Fred will like this)
“Oh my God he’s busted wide open!!!”
Just a question want to know peoples thoughts.
If we don’t win the league next season and if Fergie steps down at the end, what happened last season will that be too big a psychological barrier for the players to overcome? We had a lot of young players in our team and the look on Jones face was horrible.
I just hope Molde fair better than we did against FC Basel! (Another couple of results to forget from last season.)
Come on Ole, MUFC manager in waiting!
Fred
Always love our competition on here! Molde Molde Molde Molde
Cedars
He sure is the little rascal!!
Little rascal? Ha ha ha………Best description yet of the wee fella
LOL NRD, very sympathetic from your brother!
If some of our lads are emotionally scarred after last season’s horror show (and that wouldn’t surprise me, lily-livered bunch that they are) we need only to ship them out and replace them with some tougher S.O.B.s. It’s funny to compare the United and Arsenal teams of the 90s, both chock-full of real men’s men, with their modern day equivalents: a bunch of fannies.
Could not agree more with the last sentence of yours. The United team of 94 greatest United team of all time, Nobody was more skillful or tough as those 11.
If you won’t let us play football we’ll muscle it off you and even if we do get a man sent off we’ll beat you with 10 men!!!
Other than Vidic and possibly Rooney they aren’t any hard bastards in our squad.
NRD
Spot the fuck on………..That 94 team was full of hard bastards………Ince and Keane in midfield, fuck me sideways, Cantona upfront ha ha ha……’Ill kung foo your fucking asses’
Great side
You guys are forgetting Brucey and Pallister at the back and Schemeichel in goal…I bet Kanchelskis on the right could clock a few people’s head in as well.
Today’s team, peole like Nani and all, who like they could burst into tears…
I mean for all the big man phil jones looks, he almost looked like crying in a couple of games last year…
Red Devil
Nani crying at analfield still disgusts me to be honest…..Great talent no doubt, but it seems we’ve swapped hard men for pussies
Red Devil – spot on. When our hardest bastards are supposedly Jones (with his blonde highlights) and Rooney (with his hair transplant) something is very wrong! Can’t imagine Hughsey or Brucey poncing around with a hair transplant. Mullets and perms, sure, but never cosmetic surgery FFS!
@ Red Devil – When you consider we had Schemeichel in goal and now its De Gea. Fuck me, De Gea wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes in 94!!!
Irwin and Parker could handle themselves as well. Love that team such a pity UEFA had that stupid rule which meant we couldn’t give it a proper go in Europe.
Schmeichel
Parker Bruce Pallister Irwin
Kanchelskis Keane Ince Giggs
Cantona Hughes
My fucking word.
@ NRD
I would include Scholes into your list of hard bastards currently playing and until we’ve seen confirmation of his footballing days being over, Darren Fletcher is as tough as they come.
There is no fucking way Roy Keane would’ve let Everton come back from 4-2 to draw with the title clearly on the line. Somebody would have gotten a right bollocking long before shit hit the fan.
@ Cedars – Anyone born after 89 has the whoosy gene in them, go out there way to be emasculated. Still bothers me when I see the colour pink more on blokes than the ladies on a night out.
Yeah, speaking of hard men………Fucking Sparky, built like a fucking brick wall he was
Schmeichel
Neville Stam Johnsen Irwin
Beckham Keane Scholes Giggs
Cole Yorke
ididnotzeeit, NRD & Cedars – all spot on!
@ ididnotzeeit – Good one with Scholes and Fletcher as well. They would have been all right back then, Scholes is from that generation anyway. Spot on about Fletcher. If he says he isn’t finished then I believe him, just hope its sooner rather than later.
Fred
I bet Sir Alex had a hard time talking to them 11………Fucking bunch of nut cases they were and I fucking love them all!
Most goal keepers today wouldn’t survive in those days mate….the pussies today are over-protected and cant be touched at all…
No real tackling allowed in the outfield as well…I can tell you all the plaudits Xavi and Iniesta and Messi receive when thy play for Barca, they would find it really tough if they were in the premier league. Especially 4 foot Messi would get slaughtered by teams like Stoke and Blackburn in the cold winter
Thats why I rate Ronnie better than Messi and co..he’s done the hard yards here whereas they are cooped up in their homes during the winter on their winter break..
They know that too, which is why they admire Paul Scholes so much….they can see that the guy plays with same technical quality and brilliance even in the rough and tumble of the premier league where you can actually be tackled whereas in Spain, people are booked for even touching them.
Yea, we lack of hard men in our current team. Only Vidic, Rooney and a bit of Ferdy and perhaps Evra left.
And Bradley Wiggins wins gold in the Cycling Time Trial…he’s really shot to cycling prominence winning the Tour de France as well…the first brit to do so…
Its a very tough event to win. I’m a big fan of the Tour de France and have great respect for any guy who can survive the French Alps and Pyrenean passes and time trials and come out on top. A real hard nut case one needs to be to even attempt that
A player like Nani would not have lasted 5 minutes on the pitch in the 70′s…….Not a dig at the fella but he fucking annoys the shit out of me with his theatrics
And Rooney should have left his hair baldy. Would have made him looked like a bulky Jason Statham.
Its no coincidence that since there’s been more foreign players and managers coming into England that the players are getting softer and softer. Diving is accepted in every other nation in the world other than England.
I used to think it was a recent thing but the Germans, Italians, Spanish and the Dutch have always been at it. Argentina are no saints either. The thing is they don’t need to be because they are so talented anyway.
@Red Devil – Spot on about those players and Barca in general, they hate it when they get tackled and hit the ground and because they have so much possession the ref falls for it every time. They may have beaten us 3-1 at Wembley but every time we made a tackle on them they hit the deck, but yet when they ganged up on us 2 on 1 specifically Tony V, the ref did fuck all.
Nani used to dive a lot but if we notice he is slowly cutting it out of his game. He is our best midfielder ( i do think he is better than Valencia). I just really hope we get to keep him here for the long haul. I would hate to face him. He is direct, has a ship full of tricks, is also adding goalscoring to his game. Was duly rewarded with a Balon d’or nomination last year. Shame about the injuries this past season but on his day he is amongst the VERY best in the world in his position. If Young starts over him i would be livid.
Did anybody watched Lucas M in action against New Zealand?
He played full game…
Mig79
Yep. Didn’t set the world on fire.
Wiggo… Mos decorated British Olympian with 7 Medals!!!
A real fans?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/9440642/Manchester-rivalry-goes-global-as-City-aim-to-capitalise-on-Premier-League-title.html
@Mikekelly12, yup that’s what i heard. Didn’t watch myself.
Heard raving review about Rafael’s performance though. Am pleased for him.
MEN’S beach volleyball… I mean what is the point, really? An utter disgrace and has no place in the Olympics.
A lone spectator inside Kuala Lumpur’s vast Bukit Jalil Stadium stood up, removed his jacket – not that he needed one in such sticky, humid conditions – and proudly pointed to his counterfeit Manchester United shirt.
He then began singing United’s name in an area populated by the handful of Manchester City supporters…
—–
I don’t want to make comment about his counterfeit jersey.
@ NRD
Couldn’t agree more about Fletcher. If anyone from this current crop can come back from something like that, than it’s Fletcher. Until he announces his retirement, I’ll be pulling hard to see the Scot back in action, what a great day that would be.
Honorable mention of hard nosed bastards goes to Antonio Valencia. The injury he suffered against Rangers could easily have ruined a few careers, psyches, etc but no, the Ecuadorian came back brand new and looked as if he never missed a beat. Get fucking in AV7!
Redbicycle
Was it James21??????
Lucas was alright. nothing really special. Surely the price can be brought down to about 25 million. we can’t pay 30 millionr that. COME ON Sao Paolo. Stop smoking weed and wake up. Rafael was fantastic though.
red_bicycle
“On the other side of the stadium, banners proclaiming ‘Manchester is Red,’ ‘United 19’ and ‘RIP Tévez’ – in response to the City forward’s end of season brandishing of an ‘RIP Fergie’ banner during the club’s trophy parade – extended the sense of City playing in enemy territory.”
Hahaha, great job you Malaysian Reds.
red_bicycle – expect a quote from Fergie any day now: “real fans wear real replica jerseys.”
What the fuck? Jimmy James is in Malaysia now?
Hernandez needs to improve massively this season. Still think his touch needs to be better, his link up play need upgrading. Basically, his all round game have to be better than those challenging for a starting spot or he’ll be spending more time on the bench. Being a “Fox in the box” is not enough at a club challenging at the highest level.
Mike:
You mean James wear counterfeit shirt?
So NRD:
Are u still saying that we need to go to OT to be a true red devil? Prime example from Malaysia
There wasn’t a lot wrong with our first half performance against Swansea imo. We attacked a lot, Hernandez was running around like a mad man chasing the ball, the crowd was up for it and we created some good opportunities. The 2nd half performance was disappoinging though. That’s where we went completely flat. As for the Sunderland game, we were at our most wasteful there. Rooney missed some sitters there, Scholes hit the bar, etc etc. I guess we never believed we could pull back the GD until the title was lost for good.
@Notorious
I wish you a speedy recovery mate.
I hate italics.
Fred
Bwahahahaha
Costas hates Italians?!
Costas
But they make great pizza…
Red bicycle
They’re the only ones he can get to fit him!!
Gold medals or not, no one will be watching all these crap sports after the olympics. canoe slalom? fencing? cycling? judo?, what a load of bullshit. People love to jump on a bandwagon of hype.
Is it me or has the writing gone a little well alcoholic?
You’d know about that Sam, world’s biggest Bebe fan and all that…
Thanks guys. I’ll probably get branded a racist now…
I love pizza and pasta by the way. As much as I love United.
I find women’s beach volleyball to be exhilarating.
@MG
The writing is reminiscent of Javier’s movement when he beats the offside trap.
Always knew Costas was a racist, his hate for the Italians is evident
Costas
Or Bebe’s passing
To be fair to the lad though his passing so far has been class
I’ll leave the world bit to the end of the season when he wins the treble
Fred – again, you never get to the point. Your attempts to seem clever really amuses me.
I love Gino Ginelli ice cream – you can’t get more Italian than that.
With the style FERGIE is trying to implement, hernandez will be warming the bench. All the improvements asked of him can’t be seen. He’ll be an impact player this season.
“Faith is believing without having to see it. ” From anonymous.
Can I make assumption based on his counterfeit shirt that he has never been to OT? (If he’s not James21 of course
). This malaysian bastard is bloody having great faith in United. Proud of his guts singing and chanting alone in the middle of pissed off shitty fans. :d
Samuel – face it, if Bebe wasn’t a United player you wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about him. How is that any different to people taking an interest in obscure sports only because they’re part of the Olympics? It’s not. Bebe is crap, fact.
@ red_bicycle – He was wearing a counterfeit shirt so he’s hardly put any money into the club and he was watching cit-eh!!!
Also one thing I want to make 100% crystal clear – I’ve never said you’re not a proper fan if you haven’t been to OT.
What I’ve said is
“If you haven’t been to OT and you’re having a pop at the atmosphere inside OT AND on top of that you’re having a go at people like myself moaning about increase in ticket prices then you can fuck off and your opinion on the glazers don’t mean anything because you’re not putting any money into the club in the first place.
I’ve read your posts mate, you don’t fit that description.
@ Costas – Cheers mate.
@MG
If we were going to emulate Bebe’s crossing, then our sentences would end up outside the text box and probably outside the laptop screen too.
@Fred
Your attempts to be amusing seem really clever to me.
Sam
I beg to differ. Judo and Cycling are quality sports and I watch them when I get the opportunity. Equestrian and dressage, now there is a couple of sports I dont get?
Rejoicing about getting silver in the equestrian, i just can’t help but laugh. Unbelievable.
Costas
It could be worse it could be emulating Anderson’s incredible and very temperamental weight gains and losses and gains and losses…
Costas – why thank you. I’ll take any compliments I can get, even from crazed racists like yourself. Cheers!
Fred – you love to throw allegations you can’t prove around don’t you?. “Fact” this and “Fact” that, you must enjoy what you’re posting.
I think you have a problem with the fact that i suggested (my opinion) bebe should be given his fair chance, just like an overweight anderson has been given five years. You think he’s crap, i’m not going to dispute that with you but i have posted my constructive view regarding his situation. However, you’d be exposing your foolishness if you think you’ll change my mind on what i think. You won’t get anywhere with this tedious ramblings about bebe and including my name. You were amusing but now you’re starting to sound bitter.
I’m loving the Olympics.
Mikekelly – all i can say is, some of the sports are more bearable to watch than others.
I’m going to give you a new angle on the Glazer Saga. Even though it might sound far out it’s not written to make you laugh or anything like that. I want the Glazers out as much as any fan.
In Astrlogy the movement of Saturn show you where and when crisis and stumbling blocks will occure. Every 28th year there is a grave problem. And every 7th year there is a reflection on that problem. 7 years ago Saturn showed itself at the accendant of Manchester United (24.04.1902). That’s the year when the Glazers came. Now 7 years later, there is a problem because of the great harm created then.
This might be the time we get rid of them!
28 + 7 years ago United were in turnmoil. Docherty had been sacked and every last rest of the holy trinity and the glory days were gone. Some 7 years after that Ron Atkinsons management started to crumble. We all know the happy outcome of that crisis…
Alex Ferguson saved us. Although it took 7 years to win the league…
I think the Glazers want out. They want to get a very high price for United on the marked, and then sell.
I think SAF knows. I think he’s only concern is Uniteds future. He needs to stay and stear through these problems. He couldn’t care less for those demons. That’s why he’s backing them. Only way to keep them happy and get rid. Toss them that bone of 25m for each ugly duckling they made ungrace the earth. And then someone with a heart for United can buy the club.
Shame on those who think SAF will get anything out of this. Rememeber that Mankini guy earns more, and he’s only got 2 trophies, bought for the price of Uniteds interest the last seven years, to show for. If Saf cared for crazy money, he would have asked for it.
ALL WILL BE REVEALED IN THE LAST EDITION OF: MANAGING MY LIFE
One love Manchester United
David De Gea is back where he belongs, between the sticks at Old Trafford.
I wish his goals could be swapped for a week’s shorter injury for Vidic/Cleverley each per goal.
What are the odds of the injury jinx hitting us again this coming season? That’d be a hat trick of crippling injury seasons.
Speaking of injuries, I hope the Team GB boys dish out some punishment to Luis Suarez tonight.
The fans who want the Glazers out are satisfied by the Owners selling the Club.
This initial sale of a small bite in United is the first tangible progress towards their desire.
More to follow, no doubt. No one expected them to sell the club for nothing.
Also pleasing to those who are dismayed by the saddling of the Glazers’ debts onto United, is the news that the Club have been given lots of shares for nothing. Some of these shares will wisely form part of the remuneration that loyal United employees receive. This will give those employees added incentive to perform their duties wholeheartedly. Most of the shares will be sold by the Club, and all of the proceeds will go towards the debt that the Glazers thrust upon us. Our burdensome owners are finally giving a little bit back.
All fans are disappointed by the realisation that the Glazers are also going to sell some of their own shares. We were lulled by the poor quality of the journalism we chose to consume. It was clear and likely from the outset that eventually the Glazers would sell more shares and keep the profits. We believed that would only occur at a later date, preferably after the crippling debt had been eradicated.
The Glazers deceived us by not explaining their intentions to us, but we know that they are not by any means informative. This dual-sale of shares was always their intention, yet only a few erudite Reds saw it coming.
The Glazers didn’t have enough money to buy United. So United borrowed the shortfall from expensive money-lenders, and GAVE it to the Glazers. It’s time now for the Glazers to give it back. This initial donation of shares must be followed by another, more sizable chunk. All funds received from the initial offering, and from those that follow, should be directed to the debt unfairly owed by United. After it is eliminated, the Glazers are welcome to sell their shares and spend their money.
1. The club bought bebe as cheap as any player can be, 7million is a myth that can’t be proven. 2 his presence doesn’t really hinder any player at the club, he’s a gamble and still is. Buying him or not will not have made any difference to the transfer funds the manager gets or the long term future of united. 3. The gamble hasn’t worked so far, for several seasons. That’s life, get over it. 4. He might eventually come good or might not, time will tell. As far as i’m concerned, he should be given his chances like other disappointments at the club.
I’m bored of reading about bebe. You don’t like him, we get it but you’re sounding like a bitter cunt by banging on about him, let him get on with his career.
*Several reasons
Why are you still prattling on about Bebe?
Sensible views from Samuel on our young player Bebe.
Old Trafford is looking VERY wet!!!
It’s one thing to feel free on RoM to blather on any range of topics.
it’s quite another to question posters for commenting about United players.
Prattle on regardless, Samuel.
Oh dear, I’m in trouble now!
Really can’t believe a few people believe Sir Alex Ferguson is putting himself before the club, with respect to gaining money.
Those who truly think they know how SAF operates, especially with public/media offerings, should know that SAF protects the club. If that means ruffling a few feathers from supporters, okay then. Those who complain about the ‘authenticity’ of a football club and not taking into account that sport is now an avenue of entertainment and source of revenue are completely past it.
SAF says that if you’re good, the money will follow. Many things he says not only pertain to football but to life in general.
Pitch looks very water logged! Please don’t fuck it up lads!
NRD
He purposely came to piss off citeh fans. What more to say? I don’t think he came to watch shity.
About critisizing the glazers, sorry I did not follow closely ur debate mate, only read some posters quoting your comment about fans who never been to OT. Then I found this news about faithful malaysian red devil who I think never been to OT. So, I’m very much out of context here
.
But I have my point: not every fans is blessed with a chance to go to holy land (OT). But likewise the fans who are blessed to have chance to watch at OT, we are also true fans who are also love United. And we of course put our money to the club.
Why is the pitch under water? Surely it’s a deliberate pitch-saving mechanism by OT.
Spain will be lucky to keep 11 on the field, Morocco playing the football.
Don’t worry Fred. You have racists at your side.
Evening reds around the world,
who the fuck is Chicharito? oh wait, the great scouts and manager brought him to the theater of dreams…
Kagawaaa ooo..
Kagawaa ooo..
He came from borussia..
He’s gonna murder yaa..
Dread – you’ve completely lost me.
Alberto Rossi has been a massive miss…oh wait, not so much
I’ll hopefully be watching cleverly tonight. Uruguay will be another step up in level for tom. All experience gained will only benefit united. Won’t be suprised if that racist prick scores though.
All of a sudden people are slinging mud at Sir Alex over an interview whose tone wasn’t even derogatory towards fans.
All over the net I’m seeing posts from ‘real’ United fans having a go at SAF for supposedly bringing the club into disrepute, calling him senile etc.
This makes me angry as fuck.
I’m sure SAF has enough money to lead a VERY comfortable life, and wouldn’t be interested in throwing away his entire MANAGERIAL reputation, everything that he has achieved at the club that he has loved for so long, just for a few million quid?
I’m gobsmacked that people have even begun to think like this. I bet most such people are just bloody glory hunters looking for an excuse to jump onto some other team’s bandwagon. If they do so, good riddance I say.
Someone ask a scouse how many Medals has Phelps won in all Olympics.
##
its 19 by the way
Prathyush,
Great post pal..
samuel – I thought it was me that was lost!
We’re just two lost souls swimming in this fish bowl, year after year.
Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears.
To what does your confusion relate?
Costas – much appreciated buddy.
when you gt kicked, nothing clicks,
no fan talks about how much we paid for Hernandez and how well he is..
same goes for Vidic, Evra, twins, Tony V etc etc…
but th Bebes and the Berbatovs are the talk of the town at th moment..why? because th “real fans” Sir Alex messed it up eh?
my arse..
Dread – poetically put together comment ha! but don’t worry about it mate, i didn’t fully read all your comments but i have now.
Glorious dive by de Gea, nearly landed outside the big box!
Fred,
wasup pal..
Sup Sandy? I’m just enjoying life.
At half time, Molde 0-0 Basel. Molde are currently down to 10 men after their striker was sent off. Come on Ole!!!!!!!!!
Utd4life – thanks for the update. Sounds like Molde are really up against it now.
Fred. Yeah, they have really got their backs against the wall now but they have still managed to create quite a few chances even after going down to 10 men so all is not lost yet.
This London place that’s having a sportsday, is it a suburb of Manchester?
Watching the Molde vs Basel stream online, and just watched the Spain vs Morocco match.
Something that made me very happy while watching the Spain vs Morocco match was that the ref actually allowed some ref play and didn’t give into the stupid over acting of the Spaniards.
some rough play*
Fred,
same her pal,
here is a hoping 10 men Molde will trump Basel..
Free Kick for Molde on the edge of the penalty box. They’re actually playing better than Basel atm.
Dreadedred
No mate we don’t want that shit hole attached to Manchester
All seriousness what a capital it is, great place and what a show they put on last Friday.
Molde can’t do any worse than we did vs Basle. Come on Ole show us how its done!!!!
@red_bicycle – Thats why I’m clarifying what I said too many twist words. On the subject of ticket prices, I get more empathy from vermin fans regarding that than some United fans on here.
As for the fan having a pop at cit-eh, he can get away with it, don’t find it funny personally that sort of thing can get you a 5 year banning order in England.
Although I did read a story that some United fans crept into hardcore end at Maine Road and unfurled a huge Manchester United banner that was before the world became PC mad.
Anyone know anymore on that.
That’s true NRD, I’ll try to find the video.
Sounds like a great showing from Molde.
Voila! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1A9Dyz2vLA
@ Costas -At least you accept your racism instead of going round asking all members of ROM if they are a racist or not!!! I’m with you I’m a choc ice as I like Italian food more than Indian food.
Nice one Fred. Thats made my day!!!
Fucking clueless bitter twats.
Giggs12Gerrard0
The opening was definitely the best I have seen. The fact that I remained interested is in itself noteworthy, ceremonies are usually crap.
The Games are spectacular, and London is amazing. How about the swimming arena?
Molde concede a goal. Sloppy bit of keeping if you ask me.
Molde 0-1 Basel
Transfer news!
Stick-on tattoos are all the rage at the Olympics.
samuel – united WE stand….. umm….. what’s wrong with Judo……..
From being a black belt myself (years ago) its still a supreme sport teaching discipline and concentration
Now you’ve thrown him TonyBee. Get a grip, Samuel!
Full time, Molde 0-1 Basel. Credit to Molde though for giving it a real fight even after going down to 10 men. I think they would have probably won it if it was 11 on 11.
Unlucky Molde. Still in the tie though.
Suarez being booed to fuck by GB fans.
Happy birthday to our fellow Red Prasan,
Have a lovely day mate..
Happy Birthday Prasan. A true Red.
Most of the Olympics is wank, tried to watch field hockey christ
red Bicycle and M19ke
Sorry guys it wasn’t me. I have chanted to a crowd of shitty fans though and got a punch for my troubles. OOH ARR ERIC CANTONA over and over. Mustn’t have liked my singing. Miserable fucks
Happy Birthday Prasan.
NRD
I must be an Ice Choc because I love Indian food, the hotter the better.
August 1, 2012 at 18:26
Pratyush
Dead right mate awesome post, but I only think its a deluded few, not much in the sea of great MUFC fans.
is it me or are all the posts in italics?
Italica – Pastor of Muppets.
Dreadedred
I know mate the arena is spectacular, the Olympic park is beautiful. I have a real sense of national pride. Watching athletes at the peak of their sport competing is class. Shows some footballers right up.
Kingofstretfordend
Haha… That made me laugh!
Giggsy 12 and M19ke,
wasup pals,
u both ring each other or plan before you guys come to blog?
You folks are like Cole and Yorke
, but dont know who is who
##
James,
hope all is well with you and Jane?
##
Good night reds..
I’m Sheringham
Sandy
Evening and good night I guess
Mike is Yorke, not because he is a playboy that shags topless models either he is just a goofy bastard.
Plus I’m more clinical in front of goal I only need 10 chances to score
Midfield trio of Tom Cleverley, Joe Allen & Aaron Ramsey are beautiful to watch a lot better than Gerrard-Parker in last Euro…
The cunt almost scored…
TheCantona
That’s the problem mate two are Welsh, England are wank.
@Giggs12
Hahaha! So true mate!
Vile Donkey chops.
Good lord, I need my head examined. The only justification I have for watching two sides captained by two massive cunts is the opportunity to watch Tom Cleverley…sad state of affairs
Giggs12 hi mate not really the case about peaking, its all about the countries who throw millions at the athletes or condone or help juicing, most Canadians have to keep down a job and train before or after.Americans,Chinese,Russians etc are professionals and its important for those countries for their athletes to mirror the economic or military prowess, its a fucking joke
@Notorious
Choc ice.
I am the same. I am Greek, but I like Turkish food. Doesn’t get more choc ice than that.
We might be onto something with this guy called cleverley. I heard he plays for us how true is that?
Wayne
I’m a little less cynical mate I take pride in our wee nation producing proper real world class athletes. Bradly Wiggins again showing the world what we can do.
Wayne
When I say cynical I don’t mean you are buddy I mean we can’t compete against the US, China, or the Aussies so its great to see us cherry pick medals here and there.
Ok. I didn’t want to be the asshole, but I’ll go ahead and ask:
STR, can we get a new thread please. Anything. My neck is getting a crink from reading all this sideways italicized text.
And off topic,
“Choc Ice” would be a legendary ROM handle if anyone was thinking of “freshening things up” with a name change. Just saying.
@giggs12:
speaking of England & Welsh, as a foreigner i always wonder why did the british people divided themselves when it comes to football (olympic aside)? I mean if British people were unity in one Great Britain team, u might have a team of law, j.charles, best, dalglish, hansen, rush, southall, giggs, bale, allen, etc. And i believe u have bigger chance to win the international competition…
@ wayne
spot on regarding “amateur” athletes at the olympics. Don’t tell me for one second the afore mentioned country’s participants have to somehow pay the bills whilst maintaining the training regiment required to compete at the highest level.
Canada’s actually a good example. Look at the results that stemmed from Vancouver when the host nation (finally) poured millions into the program in an effort to see a successful campaign and voila 14 golds (most of any country) 26 medals total vs 7 and 24 in Turin vs 7 and 17 in Salt Lake City.
Money talks, even in “amateur” sports
TheCantona
Would never happen mate the Welsh and Scottish despise the English. Plus apart from Giggs in the modern era they are all shite
Good on ya Butland. Would have fucking loathed seeing that goofy buck-toothed cunt score.
Bye bye Uruguay and so long Suarez, you fucking Cunt.
Well done to Britain for beating the racist and his cronies. Suarez had a wretched game and his every touch was booed – except for the ones that went astray, those got huge cheers.
Britain looking pretty decent so far in this tournament.
@giggs12
Oh i see. Just a shame though…
note: i dont want to raised another “sensitive” debate here
It’s over, BYE BYE u overrated goofey cunt!!!
I must say GB’s young goalkeeper gives a very good performance tonight..
TheCantona
Joking aside mate is not a sensitive debate each nation just prefers their own national side.
As much as Int’l duty gets scorn here (not the debate) I’m chuffed Cleverley’s been getting a proper run of games in under his belt. Here’s to him coming to Carrington match fit and raring to go when it’s all said and done. A fit and confident Tom Cleverley? Yeah, sign me up. Plays well in a 4-4-2 as witnessed last season and can obviously play in a 3 man midfield as well. Need to get my 6 year old nephew a gift for his upcoming bday (a footballer himself if you’d call it that at that age) and what better kit than TC23? I’ll add Rafael and De Gea in as well to the list of Reds benefitting from the Olympics. Good experience for all these kids.
These days a GB side in the WC wouldn’t do much better than England. But in the 80-ties a GB with Ireland would be one hell of a team:
Shilton
Anderson Adams McGrath Sansom
Barnes Whiteside Robson Strachan
Hughes Dalglish
Bench: Southall, Watson, Reid, Rush, Stapleton, Albiston, Beardsley
Anyone else think Ramsey is a terrible player. Dodged a bullet by not signing him.
James21 – more than welcome to eat my Indian food anytime. Not the same as you get in the restaurants though.
Ramsey chose Arsenal because the challenge was more to his liking.
Compared to Cleverley, who takes on responability and is quick in thinking and playing, Ramsey strikes me as ordinary.
Giggs12 not sure if cynical is the right word, just the way it is as idoidnotzeelt pointed out Canada hosting the winter olympics threw a ton of money into the kitty and did ok.
It was just your comment about great watching athletes peak when the truth is for most the odds are stacked against them
Wayne
Yeah mate cynical isn’t the right word really, maybe I’m a little niaive on it. I guess I’m more proud of our individual wins here and there. I think its a great spectacle none the less.
@Giggs12
ha! If my memory serves me right, there was some “hot words exchanges” between the English & Scott men (all started about Andy Murray) not so long time a go here
@The team
so true. Thats why i include so many great players in the past on to my list…
Last comment awaiting moderation?
Wayne
Yeah mate cynical is the wrong word really, maybe I’m being Niaive. I guess Im just proud of our little wins here and there and the show we are putting on.
TheCantona
Sounds about right we are emotional fuckers on here at times lol.
Where are you from mate?
How would you have known what ramsey was thinking when he chose arsenal?. perhaps he wanted first team guarantees, perhaps he was looking to build his career. Don’t get carried away with cleverly, no where near the finished article. A lot of improvements needed to step up. composed performance though, distributed the ball and tried to link up play, still didn’t look spectacular.
Samuel
Mate I completely agree on Clev
Giggs12 – time will tell if cleverly is ready to nail down a starting spot at united but playing these international games will only aid him.
Why good evening everyone
Simon Keane of Canada just got through to the quarter-finals of the Super-Heavyweight 91kg+ at the Olympics. Well done lad!
Ah so its Prasan’s birthday is it? Have a good one pal
Wow, watching women’s basketball at the minute, the US vs Turkey……..Them American ladies are extremely talented
An article by Jim White
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/jim-white/fergie-backed-wrong-horse-glazer-affair-180515477.html
Journalist who also writes a column for UWS fanzine and is a United fan.
This is seriously fast paced stuff………..Credit to the Turkish ladies as well
Tree your up late, did you watch more USA Basketball!!!!
My Dick
Not that late mate its only 1.30 AM Yeah I am watching the US ladies vs Turkey……….65 – 47 to the US at the moment
Nice.
Bloody hell, these women are athletically fit as fuck, I bet they train their brains out……Truly amazing stuff
Where on earth is Willie?
Costas says he saw him on twitter, I think his new recliner ate his ass!!!
Nicky Butt?
My Dick
That explains a lot actually!!
xol
Ha ha ha
I mean he was a hard bugger. A bit of Begbie in the midfield.
Woman are better than men in almost every possible mather. Only not sports. That’s just tax money going down the drain. Should have gone to education or culture. Papers writing about wemans team GB only do because it’s correct. All of these basket ball weman or whatever would have beat me dead. So what, I’m not an athlete ? Team GB for weman would not have beaten Plymouth under 16 boys.
Ramsey chose Arsenal when he could have chosen United. What more is there to say?
Cleverley, on the eye of anyone looks better and plays in a better team.
xol
He certainly was mate, we were having this discussion earlier, Vidic aside and probably Rooney we hardly have any hard men in the team any more…………Nani? ha ha ha what a piss take. Great talent but soft as fuck
Ahh right, still catching up on the reading.
I’m on book 3 and it has got big words in it. haha
xol
Over the time I have posted here, you’ve never failed to put a smile on my face mate
Cheers Cedars, nowt wrong with smiling.
Not much longer to wait now for the proper football to start. I’m not raising hopes for a perfect start due to bits of the squad training apart but longer term, it’s looking good.
Yawn…
as somebody asked on here the other day…
….has Heskey signed yet?
Gutted for Molde, lost the first leg 1 nil at home to Basel in the final round of CL qualification …..
Any hoo, pissing off to bed….. Night all
Alrighty who’s the jackass that used open ended italics bbcode in their post, this thread’s damn near unreadable.
Well played game today by TClev, from watching all 3 games to me it looks like his confidence and willingness to assert himself is growing game by game. Obviously not a finished product yet but he’s showing some glimpses of the right type of growth we’re looking for for the upcoming season.
Last year, a record injuries for the PL era, And still scored more goals and had more point then a title winning team the year before. Rooney off to a fast start, had to play mf for 6 games or so. Then not a strength of his he had to be the only link from mf to the forward line. I have joked he had to link to himself.
Now a year older TC23, Giggs in there a AMF for 15 games. Now I could be way wrong, Kagawa the best AMFer in this window. Hazzard well he might turn out a great miss? I if had to chose only 1 of those 2, I chose Kagawa. Sure nice to have both.
Now, Kagawa, TC23, Giggs, Powell, Petrucci and Lingard thatsa nicea meatball. TC23 and Kagawa slicing through balls!!! Rooney, Welbeck and Pea running on these……Kiko looking better, plays well with Pretucci and Lingard. With Welbeck and Kiko who play wing as well, nice.
Digressing back to Gb….I thought Clevery looked great and credit to Allen and Ramsey. Man those Uraguayns played some dirty ball, stunning considering their captain. Loved how Cleverly took a cheap knock and popped right up, I really think he’ll be out there vs Everton.
Bebe, so divisive for some, I did not see the game. Sounds as tho he was pushing the pace and creating chances. I get were some say he is the worse technetium they have seen, sure he was playing football with 50 rolled up plastic bags just 5 years ago. Now see his size. Good nutrition, and conditioning. He can work on the technical part. He has a natural gift to reacts faster then most with skill and accuracy strength and power. Not so coach able are those traits. He like Rooney sees it just that bit faster even then the other top pros.
I have mentioned this for observation before, something seeing 100′s of times by all MUFC fans by now. Rooney’s bike shin shot in the heart to Shity!. Next time, pay attention to the other players as the ball deflects off Nani. In supper slow motions it is so easy to see and most have not made this connection. All are seeming stuck in mud as Rooney’s mind possess the multiple possibilities just that much faster. When the ball is deflected he is the first by some time to react. Then he clears his mind and lets his body react.

CanGot thanks for the TC up date
the goal
http://soccer-portal.org/video/5691-wayne-rooney-goal-v-man-city.html
Its good to see tom getting some proper experience under his belt. He needs it. If he wins a medal that will be for sure a huge confidence boost for the lad. I didn’t see the game but I heard he has been than ramsey. Tom is still not a finished article but can be a great midfielder for us and for england. I still remember his amazing pass to welbeck against spurs. Reminded me of beckham.
Also great to see rafael having a great tournament. He has been very impressive for brazil. He is tough and thats what we need. Just stay injury free lad you will become the first choice rb for your club as well as for brazil.
Morning reds around the world..
Glad that the Suarez cunt is ousted..
Long time reader first time poster.I’ve been coming to ROM everyday for 25 yrs,but never posted till now, what the fuck has happened. In the old days used to get all the Utd players talking about the game, now just a bunch of cunts talking about the Olympics, just a sad state of affairs.STR should just shut the whole thing down, fucking embarrassing
wayne – lol….love the 25 years part….
speaking of debt, the california republican party is $450M in debt….see , no big deal, everyone is in debt : )
Are the italics gone?
Happy Birthday, Prasan!
May you stay forever young!
I know we are not short in striking departments with talented strikers like will keane,Cofie etc coming through the ranks but I am very impressed by the young senegal forward konate. Has a great eye for goal. Won’t mind if we sign him for cheap.
Prasan happy birthday buddy. Hope you have a great time.
Wayne,
Lo at your 25 years comment
United Reserves beat Market Drayton 6 – 2 in a pre-season friendly.
Scorers: Tunnicliffe, Bebe, Petrucci, Lingard x 2, Macheda
Morning you dip shitting cunting RED beauties! ha ha ha
wayne
Pissing my self at that last post of yours, so many fuck wits come on here with that line…..As for the Olympics, I raise my hand and bow my head in shame, I am one of those cunts! ha ha ha
Now when the fuck is the season going to start? For fucks sake the 20th cannot come soon enough, we need to rape shit and get our trophy back….
UNITED UNITED UNITED
Cedars
Morning pal…sorry i had to cut short the discussion with you guys yesterday…got a call from my boss, some urgent work came about.
Wayne
Hilarious mate…quality stuff. I had posted something similar just a coupla days back. And then Pint glass of Vodka took the cake yesterday with” Man utd iss da bessst. Go rooney…GGMU” stuff.
Although I will take some culpability as I was one of those talking about the Olympics…
Am a big sports buff…can watch almost any sport any time (not the equestrian and dressage mind you – fuck me they aren’t sports if you know what i mean). Yeah even cycling – which I believe is a great sport to watch especially if you get the nuances of the high mountains.
Fred
Keep em coming pal. You have a quirky sense of humour. Works for me.
Red Devil
Morning mate………Help me out here, what the fuck does GGMU stand for? Asked this before and got no answers….Pisses the fuck out of me, pisses off others like King Eric and Kings as well
Did you tell your boss to fuck off? ha ha
GGMU stands for Glory Glory Man United
Its not so bad in itself…its usually the drivel that precedes it
Well I do say that to my boss almost 10 times a day..
when he’s not listening of course
Red Devil
Cheers for clearing that out mate, thought it was something those lines, still hate it though….
I actually once told my ex boss to fuck off in his face, he is American….Pissed him self! Now retired back home in the US, we’re best friends!
AFTER ALL THESE YEARS OF TALKING ABOUT MARKET VALUE AND SUCH I CAN’T BELIEVE UNITED IS THINKING ABOUT SPENDING 30M QUID ON A CERTAIN LUCAS ( Walcot) MOURA, THEY MUST BIN LURED BY THOSE YOUTUBE CLIPS
One sport which I just dont get is golf…for starters I dont like the “super rich man’s sport” positioning. Other than that, just seems to me to be daft as fuck to hit a ball as far as you can and then go running after it. Normally, in any other sport, you’d either want your opponent to run after your hit, or take a trusty game dog called Spot to do the job!
Other than that, i’m usually game!
GGMU!!!
Jeet
Me and my ex always played mini golf, funny as fuck and daft as fuck too…….Mind you she always raped shit out of me!
Golf is a great game to play, relaxing day out……..Never been on a course my self but I do enjoy the fucking Tiger, what a legend
Costas
Piss off you Italian hating racist……You’ve been found out mate! ha ha ha
Cedars, by all accounts, you are only one among many who have enjoyed the “fucking Tiger” …
If somebody ever drags me to a golf course, I’ll sneak in a spliff and find myself a nice, cool corner under a tree – relaxing day out, as you say!
Jeet
Now that you out it that way, sounds a lot more relaxing! Oh and fuck off with that Tiger comment you cheeky sod!
Put it that way……..Put it that way……….When will I ever be rid of them fucking typos
@Cedars
Ha! Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t hate a country that produced this:

GGMU!!!
Costas
Fair enough, that was some fucking rocking picture…….I am a bit old school, Sofia Loren for me any day
Got the 98/99 season review DVD on telly……….Fucking bouncing away here like mad! No work today either wohoo!
More on the IPO, I’m sure Fergie is comfy with how our great club is being exploited, there can’t be anything wrong at all.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/9445363/Manchester-United-IPO-critcised-over-use-of-JOBS-Act.html
And more, funny how there isn’t a positive spin in the media now that the IPO has been re-written into the it’s current format, except err………..here!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/9442260/Manchester-United-faces-questions-over-overextended-IPO-valuation.html
CedarsDevil-enjoy your day , by the way i love golf i play it all the time .
Matt
Wow, two posts from you with out calling Fergie a cunt……..Must be some sort of a record
Cedars, I think you will find it’s about 50% of the time and that only this year, so on balance probably far less, however please keep aiming your fire at me as I’m sure I’m the devil in all this.
Daz the Bomb
Cheers mate, got shit loads planned for the day……….starting a barb in an hour
CedarsDevil- Nice one
Morning Bell Ends
What’s on topic today then? Saw this today, was unaware Inter were interested?
@Pitacodogringo: Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti on Lucas Moura: “Our interest is strong, but it does not mean we’ll accept all the conditions” [fee]
good fucking morning!
Nothing warms my heart more on Thursday morning then see Donkey Faced Slimey Teeth Suarez upset fucking squarey eyed racist cannibal haah fucking laughin my cock off at the little grease ball does he really think he was being booed becasue ” he was feared”? maybe there was fear he might take half the stadium home and fucking try and microwave them fucking fork teethed carpet munching squirrel! i hope the cunt who fornicated with his mother sent her an apology letter for creating sunch a vile creature fucking mutant face rat!
Matt
To me you are a mere insect, just like the mosquito I splat on my living room wall
I
Yes Cedars, there you go, I didn’t address the two articles to you or ask you to respond but you felt you had too, so if I were the mosquito you referenced why bother, clearly you can’t help yourself and every time I ask you to engage you retreat into the kind of comment we see above.
Now your opinion of me is one I think I can cope with, however regardless of that, please try to avail yourself of some the information I post, lets face it, if it was not factual then the writers would be sued for libel, I don’t see any writs flying. So seeing as we both appear to want what is best for MUFC don’t you think it’s a good idea?
Yours
Mousquitobw7
Give me Leighton Baines before the start of the season and I will be happy.
Matt
I must admit that signature of yours put a smile on my face! Will never forgive you for calling Fergie a cunt though…….
Pity, you and I used to share a few laughs on here
Matt
I don’t mind you taking shots at glazer or even gill. I am ok with it but you always take shots at sir alex more than Gill or glazer. Everytime you come here you criticize sir alex without any reason. There is no official proof that sir alex is making money like you always accuse him. The newspaper like always say something rubbish and people like you fall into their bait.
It seems you hate sir alex personally than you like Manchester united.
More and more articles appear this chap id anyone doesn’t know is The Times northern footy scribe.
http://www.anchorfan.com/article/glazers-pushing-their-luck-with-potential-flotation-of-manchester-united
Matt
One more thing you always say you respect sir matt busby more than sir alex. I respect your opinion but you should not call sir alex cunt. You don’t like fergie fine leave it.No need to call him cunt or some other name.
But Ash , The Glazers exist to do what they do, Gill said “debt is the road to ruin” now he’s changed his tune, and there is proof, there’s a huge employee incentive linked to the IPO some 280 odd million, are you seriously asking me to believe Ferguson won’t be included in that? Fergie is supposed to have the best interests of the club at heart can you square that with what’s occuring?
Cedars, I’m not bothered about other peopled opinions of me, my problem is what’s happening to the club and it enrages me, I could take the easy choice and keep schtum and get no flak, Ferguson is culpable, I wish it wasn’t so but it is.
Ash says:
Matt
One more thing you always say you respect sir matt busby more than sir alex. I respect your opinion but you should not call sir alex cunt. You don’t like fergie fine leave it.No need to call him cunt or some other name.
Ash, until very recently I held both men equal esteem, alas one does not measure up to the other.
Mattbw7 I will admit that sometimes you really irritate me. There is no doubt you want the club to progress and you love the club but that should not be an excuse to CONSTANTLY fire abuses at Sir Alex. Also stop thinking that you are a “better fan” than most simply because we don’t spend the whoe day slating the Glazers and Fergie. It’s not nice to be ungrateful to the man who made this club relevant again.
Giggs12. Yes I would also love Baines here but I think we need a midfielder to be truly set for the new season.
Kenny Dalglish is a cunt, not sure if this helps the argument?
Dannysoys, perhaps you could link up any post or reference were I have claimed to be a better fan than others, what a ridiculous accusation to point my way.
I don’t constantly abuse Sir Alex though I can you prefer to use that as a convenient method to ignore the single biggest issue facing the club at the moment.
This sentence “It’s not nice to be ungrateful to the man who made this club relevant again.” Men what who are you including in that? As for relevance are you saying we weren’t relevant before Fergie came in?
Matt
Again Matt it is what you think and it is not the truth. You are assuming. And one more thing I find many newspapers and blogs rubbish. It goes with the rumour. If one news says the IPO bad then every one will say the same thing without giving proper reasons. One week ago every news praised IPO and said IPO Will be a huge hit then suddenly everyone says it will be a fail. I said it earlier I won’t come to any conclusion un till the final value raised is found out.
Giggs12Gerrard0 says:
Kenny Dalglish is a cunt, not sure if this helps the argument?
I’m sure he is, though I’m pretty sure he didn’t profit from his clubs debt, unless you have proof otherwise?
But Dalglish was a great player no?
Giggs12
Loved an article today that said Everton were set to sign FC Copenhagen defender Bryan Oviedo as a replacement for Leighton Baines who is off to United but in the same article said Manchester United could also make a move for the left-back if they miss out on Baines. Haha… Gotta love the rags!!! By the way, think I just drove past your place. You at talk talk Birchwood?
ffs sake ASH the IPO has been re-written or dont you keep up with the news? so any former positive articles are no longer relevant as the pertain to the early IPO, try reading ones that have been published since, also the empolyee incentive is not rumour it’s right there in the IPO document, all I’m asking you to do is read the facts.
mattbw7 says
Ash, until very recently I held both men equal esteem, alas one does not measure up to the other.
Then mate why are youi calling sir alex a cunt. If you respect him so much you will never call him that. Those kind of tag belongs to guys like terry and suarez. You could have said I don’t agree with Sir alex or simply said he shouldn’t be supporting glazers. But you come here and say he is a cunt. Honestly that doesn’t show you respect sir alex.
That’s me mate yes, where are you to?
Mike
What the FUCK do you want?
Ash Sir Alex does not measure up to Sir Matt, Sir Alex has in my eyes ruined his reputation as a person of good character (I’m not questioning his trophy haul) the evidence is there for to you to read, If you choose not to bother then fair enough, I hope you do.
Mattbw7
Jesus mate have a bit of fun in your life, i was making light of the situation.
Matt
The new prospectus added just one thing and that is Glazer will take half the shares, Now I don’t support that but how will that affect the shares. Yeah now we will only get 75 million pounds according to many news. But Like I said I Will like to wait for the final results before saying.
I just have to say one thing regarding IPO Something is better than nothing. I will prefer if we pay 75 millions than paying nothing to reduce the debt.
@Mattbw7 On the IPO thread you repeatedly implied how you were ashamed in some of the fans for not taking the IPO issue more seriously than some of you. Have you EVER stopped to consider that some fans just love the club for the football it plays on the field and leaves off field issues to the experts?
If the IPO is successful, then some of the debt gets reduced. It is better than nothing. And as for the reward plan this is something that is REGULARLY done by public companies when they make a lot of money on the stock exchange, they reward employees who they feel have done a great job until now. If you worked in a public company and were a standout employee you would probably be rewarded by your company regardless of whether the company had debt or not. You talk like half of the 280 million pounds is going to fergie and gill ALONE.
And on the deserving side. Fergie could easily wake up one morning and demand to be paid 15 million pounds a year and nobody would be able to challenge him for doing it then we’d be having a real party. But he has never done it. He’s never held this club to ransom, he has sacrificed personal life for this job. You don’t think he deserves any other monetary reward?
If the IPO fails, well we’re back to present status and the Glazers could potentially sell the club to better people.
Dalglish was not given a reward because Liverpool did not go public and had sensible owners with manageable debt, He was given more than 100 million pounds to spend and blew it all away.
The only problem I had with this whole issue was that factt hat the Glazers were taking ANY thing from the proceeds of the IPO. I feel they should not be able to take ANY MONEY a all from the proceeds and they should use it to resolve the debt issue as they have already milked this club dry to fund their crazy lifestyles.
Matt
Let it go already……Your obvious hate for Sir Alex is seriously starting to make you look daft
But Ash the £75 million wont reduce the debt, the bonds are only due to repaid in full in 2017, so you can use the above to offset the £20o million due in interest (£40m per year) but it won’t affect the capital amount of debt, it helps cash flow in the short term.
I’d explain about the PIK debt and why it’s still a threat to the Glazers personally but I don’t think you want to hear it, if you do I’ll explain later, I need to get some work done, Ash I’m not the enemy despite you finding my choice of words upsetting at times, you need to get beyond that and read what’s going on.
Cedars, just read the IPO!
concerning the relevancy of the club in 86 a club that was languishing at the bottom of the table in its worst years is hardly relevance now is it? Was Wolves relevant last season?
Matt
Never been about the IPO or owners for me, but big shame on you for calling the boss a cunt
Cedars…
What an IDIOT!!!….. good, good, more left for you and me!
Giggs12
Was dropping my Mrs off at work! Gym session now in the cinema about to watch TED!
Matt
Of the numerous questions I raise in response to some of your posts you only ever come back to the point about Sir Alex being a “grasping cunt” due to him taking shares through the employee incentive scheme. Despite the fact this has not occurred yet, you called him a cunt prior to the new IPO being released? Sir Alex has an opinion, you don’t like it but like you tell people on here to do, respect his right to an opinion and stop calling him a cunt.
Giggs12
Kenny a cunt?? Certainly helped me with the whole situation.
mattbw7: Not my place to tell you what to do, but just a few words of friendly advice…
Personally, I agree with a lot of what you say about the glazer regime, and like you, I AM concerned about the future of the club. Particularly with Fergie’s retirement dawning.
However, if you seriously want people to see your side of things, and I for one believe that this needs doing (i.e. raising awareness on the issue), the worst think you could do is call Fergie a cunt. Forget for a moment whether Fergie is in on the deal or not (I find the suggestion repulsive and ridiculous), to the vast majority of United fans Fergie is God, and not entirely without reason. Sometimes it’s not just about “calling it as I see it”, its also about how you structure your arguements for the audience.
Again, I personally feel that Fergie is playing a very fine tightrope act, stewarding our ship through choppy waters, as strom clouds loom, and doing it for one last time, in all probbaility. Read my post on the “FA charges Rio” thread, if you care. The abuse that he gets is fucking unreal, and absolutely shameful. Worse, it ensures that more people become uncomfortable with discussing the real issue, and even discount what they feel is the “Glazer conspiracy theory”.
It works like this, “I really don’t understand finance, and I don’t have the time for 100 page jargon-filled documents. I would have listened to the guy, but if he says Fergie’s in the wrong, well, that’s fucking ridiculous, how dare he?! WTF, I’ll just enjoy the footie!”
We all have our little blind spots – I mean Giggsy could probably shag mys sis and I’d still think of him as God.
So, raise awareness, ORGANIZE and explaing facts and figures to folk who are otherwise confused. But, stay focussed on the issue, and don’t abuse Fergie if you wan’t yourself, and far more importantly, the issue at hand, to be taken seriously.
Also, once in a while, talk about stuff other than the Glazers – being Indian, I believe in “this too shall pass”, and consequently feel it worthwhile to have a laugh even in the darkest of situations! Besides, you will find that surpisingly, it again boosts your credibility!
PS: Feel free to be pissed off at unwanted words of advice…that’s just me, can’t resist preaching
Matt
One serious question. What if ( A big IF so don’t start fighting with me) we managed to raise 600 million pounds and if we pay half of that to reduce the debt then won’t it be good?
Matt- One More thing like I said something is better than nothing. 75 million > 0
If you want to blame anyone else other than the Glazers then blame the Premier League for not having any rules in place to prevent this whole sorry mess from occurring in the first place!! I know leveraged buyouts are common practice in other areas of business but this is football! Should never have been allowed to happen!
Yes let’s call the gaffer a cunt for arguments sake
Then let’s also call him a cunt for rebuilding Manchester United over and over for the best part of 25 years
We are probably 2-3 European cups short of where we should have been and same again title wise – so yes he is a cunt of the highest order when you think what he has done
In my opinion if he were to solely profit from 200 odd million just for himself it wouldn’t be enough – no financial gain is equal to what he has done or is doing – because ultimately he still strives to make United better.
This argument is flawed – these things are happening to United because the owners now want to bring the debt down – their only flaw is that they have never communicated with the fans which is the ultimate betrayal of the clubs leadership – but their you go – shit happens – I mean they’ve done what they’ve done – unless any one of us has billionaire mates driving up in a Ferrari or an Aston Martin – we can only hope that they have bigger plans for United
One thing is for sure – a lot of money has gone out of the club and boy does that hurt – but then a lot of money is coming in – if according to people we are over priced then why are we making such deals that companies brands want to make?
It’s simple fucking logic – everyone wants to attach themselves to us because we do have a global brand and following not seen anywhere else – despite everything we are just a football club – we are not an oil company or a bank where we can be fully hated – we are a football club where first and foremost the club will always be important to it’s fans – the Glazer’s know this – that’s why everything happening now has to happen.
As for why they will not use all the money to pay the debt off right now – fuck knows I’m no economist or money bag two shoes but what I do know is clearly in front of me – we are making incredible amounts of money everywhere and that isn’t going to stop – especially at a time when the world is in deep recession – to have such a financial backing is quite incredible and that’s only happening because we are not overpriced.
It’s Manchester United FC
And then we all know who’s built this version of it – so let’s grow up about it – we all know millions more will go before the debt sees the light of the day in terms of reduction – we can still only hope that United will pull out of it.
The Glazer’s are lucky – United are strong enough to survive whatever shit is thrown at us.
19
Spot on as always, Mikey! This should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.
MG
I fucking love you…….Pissing off to take care of frigging guests
4;30 am here, fucking all new projects I am on get my head seining, hello all head spinners.
I have much to read, Tree spot on matt, daft as a duck. Daffy Ducks great grandson. try’s to turn every thread into his misguided mission. As if he was a Jehovah witness talking to Charlie Sheen.
A CUNT IS WHAT HE SAID, then he shows here to basically say all who disagree with him are cunts as well.
What can frustrate people on blogs, at first a guy looks OK, smart even. Then bam true colors come shinning through. The the other posters feel bad at being duped , sucked in by them. Don’t.to hard to figure his type through type at times. A badgering fool, trying to bully or just repeat the same shit 54 different ways. Trying to change views of others.
MG back in daHOUSE!!!!
Jeet I will have some coffee first and answer that good question you posed me the other day about the support of Wazza, and Glazzers in the same breath.
Zibbie, welcome mate, I was wondering about that!
Wish you awesome success on the new gig!
Join MUST!
Like Ole did. Fuck having qualms about it, it can change. There are quite possibly things you don’t like about how the actual Club is run but that hasn’t stopped you being a supporter. Join MUST.
Scroll up and look to the East.
LOSTS A LUNG FUCKING WAYNE MAKING AN OLD SMOKER LOSE HIS SHIT SO EARLY!!!! IN THE DAY!!LMAO AUGUST 2, 2012 AT 05:21
wayne says:
Long time reader first time poster.I’ve been coming to ROM everyday for 25 yrs,but never posted till now, what the fuck has happened
jEET, TOP OF THE DAY MATE. STILL LOL AT WAYNE.
Jeet, here I go, Wazza did slam the owners in public, more direct to your question. Wazza questioned their ambition to compete at the highest level.
1) I did ? their intent as well in regards to transfers, then with the education I have received from RoM regulars with way more club knowledge then I. Explained SAF transfer record of the past. Buy a big $ player every 3-5 years to fill gaps the Academy and young player purchases they developed like CR7. So MUFC never did act like Shity, Real ect.
2) I thought the glazzers were playing hard ball with him and almost lost him and SAF had to step in. Wazza fucked up and what he said not that he spoke up at that time.
3) I was informed SAF did speak out of the old ownership structure, he did not slam the Glazzers.
4) Glazzers here for $$$$$ and would not hurt their product, thus will invest enough to battle at the highest level. FUCKIN BARCA XAVI, INEIESTA AND MESSI LEAD BY PEP!!!!! JUST REAL GOOD!!!! Hard team to beat.
Not a great argument. but
So, they both fucked up, right – glazers were wrong in playing (too)hardball, and Wazza played his cards all wrong, thereby leading the club’s good name to be sullied, and it took a rabbit out of Fergie’s arse to manage the situation, right?
Admire your honesty and courage in admitting “its not a great arguement”
For what it’s worth, my grudge against the glazers is not just about transfer money, its about the principle of the thing. Money being taken out of United need not all be going into an overinflated transfer market, but reinvested in so many other positive ways. Keeping ticket prices low, for instance.
As for Wazza, he’s a brilliant player for us (though personally, I find him a bit overrated), just that at times he behaves like a bit of a stupid prick, and after ambitiongate, I have strong doubts if he’ll stay the course with the club. He fucked up like Sonny Corleone by speaking against The Family in public!
..at the end of the day though, he’s a fat scouse bastard, but so long as he’s OUR fat scouse bastard, he will have my support!
Jeet I love golf, miss it much since my back and neck won’t let me play anymore. Spot on about a big old dobbie, cold beers good friends and fast golf carts. What keeps me coming back were those things and those 3 to 5 shots that you hit just right. like butter. You do not feel the hit, if it is on the sweet spot of the club. It is like a tuning fork of joy resonating in my body. BUTTER. Maybe like a cricket 6 shot.
..at the end of the day though, he’s a fat scouse bastard, but so long as he’s OUR fat scouse bastard, he will have my support!
perfect!!!!!!!!!!
Zibbie, understand what you say about butter! Surprisingly for an Indian, I never played much cricket, but I still understand what you said. To me, it’s like the perfectly timed sliding tackle. You don’t feel the friction, you time it to such a nicety that you catch the ball clean in that fraction of a second the winger pushes the ball forward on his run, without touching or hurting the player. Just that he doesn’t even know where that came from, so he can’t stop his run and topples over you at full speed! Mind you, the better players are able to jump over you at full gallop as you win the ball!
Jeet a good response, and spot on about my points.
Hardball
Foot in his mouth
SAF white horse guy
OUR CUNT!!!
OVERRATED??????????
???????????
I thought Cleverley looked a bit stockier in the GB games. Like others have said, seems to be improving positionally, making a few tackles (one of which was his assist with the perfectly weighted through-ball to Sturridge). A good performance from the GB team’s midfield again apart from Ramsey getting in Cleverley’s way. Also the rest of the team could have passed to him a tad earlier, when he’s positioned himself in maximum space. He even dealt with a few suicide passes and got himself out of trouble before calmly laying it off. Not to mention his tracking back as well as getting into good shooting positions in and around the box.
Some folk who think/hope the ipo is doomed to failure should consider a few things. The Glazers are not new to the investment world and are pretty smart operators.Someone in the financial market is underwriting this offer,so they are convinced they are backing a winner and will most likely be proved right and would probably see it oversubscribed.A lot of people will see a lot of value in Machester United I’m thinking.
BUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
American football as well, amazing when you hit someone just right. A collision like a car crash, and you do not even feel it. Till the next day.
Ohh, that overrated part is very debatable, I’ll give you that!
Some folk make him out to be an alltime great a la Bestie…IMO, he’s nowhere at that level, but defo one of the best of his generation.
My tastes in footballers and liquor is quite idiosyncratic (I find both Pele and Chivas Regal overrated) so like I said, very debatable!
GB, Bruce, King Eric, Robbo all these and more have personal greatness and timing as well. KE set the tone for the best player working the hardest, then Giggs and Scholes learned and passed it on.
Best a brilliance to his touch. Rooney not like that. Will never be a flash player. Now even though time has passed. If MUFC had to lose either CR7 or Wazza, we lost the right one. IMHO….
Cedars missed your gag or wouldn’t have done it
Don’t get why Gill gets so much grief seems good at his job, what’s he supposed to do quit because some fans hate the Glazers
Sir Alex confirms his back four for European games will likely be Jones, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra
http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/football/manchester_united/s/1585070_manchester-united-going-back-to-the-future-with-four-strikers
“I always consider 1998-99 as the gold standard of Manchester United strikers,” said Ferguson. “We had Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, and Solskjaer, and when we needed a goal one of them would deliver.
“It happened so many times. I was always confident that whoever I was sending on could grab us a goal. The options I’m now starting to see in this squad remind me of that era. I hope we see a lot of goals.
“The hardest thing for me will be to pick the right pairing for the right games. And of course one or two may develop particularly good understandings with another. It’s going to be interesting.”
@Parryheid: Honestly, I’ll be delighted if the IPO is a roaring success. Doesn’t matter if the glazers make a sackful. So long as the debt comes down, I’m happy. As Ash keeps saying, Anything > Nothing.
@Mrad_leb : Rafael?
those are the quotes from the official website:
“Chris Smalling is out for 10 weeks with his metatarsal operation and Jonny Evans is still just in light training. They’re big losses at the moment and they will miss the start of the season.
“Rafael is away [on international duty with Brazil at the Olympics] and Fabio is away on loan so there are four defensive players that we don’t have for the back four positions.
“We do have Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra, though. That will be the back four on tour. Hopefully we don’t get any more injuries as it would leave me a bit short.”
@Mrad_leb : Aah, I thought you meant CL by “European games” – seems the The Boss is talking of preseason. Thanks!
@jeet you’re welcome mate..yes the Boss is talking of preseason..glad vidic is back
Wazza a LB backup, TV7 a RB backup and Carrick a CB backup, these lads do what the gaffer asks of them.
WHAT A TEAM
WHAT A CLUB
WHAT A GAFFER!!!!!!!!!!
Wayne I get the Gill question.
No offence to the manager, but what other options were there in defence? Not exactly breaking news.
A shame that Blackett or Brady won’t start in these games, but Evra needs match practice I guess…
Ohh, how could I have missed that!
VIDAAAAAAAAA!!!!
NEMANJAAAAAAAAAAAA….
Liam Gallagher compared Rooney to a balloon with a weetabix crushed on top, have to say not impressed with the transplant he’d be better off shaved,50k fuck me saw him coming
Pippo Inzibbie, boy I like these athletic tan and tone women of sport, sporting a woody. Wow pussy so nice, even pussy likes pussy.
Iowa has legal Gay marriage. The women who runs the business I’am working with is married to this little hot y!
The boss is a small bull, short hair and a Harley tattoo. hehe
Liam Gallagher and his brother should continue to focus on shoving electric guitars up each others blue arse…#just saying
…besides with roadkill tevez and balocunt in his team, it’s a bit rich of him to talk of looks or hairstyles of United players…
@Zibbie: Nothing against homosexuality, but being a man, don’t you wish that things were like the good old days when a woman was a woman? These days, just too many shades of grey, if you get my drift
jeet yeah a couple of cunts made decent music though, think rugs, comb overs and transplants look like shit.Once mine started to go just shaved it
Ohh, nothing against their music, love it personally (sorry, Red Mancs, but still to acquire a decent taste for the Roses)…but right pair of blue twats those too…
morning rom!
heard vidic has been included in the squad for the last set of friendlies against valeranga barca and hannover. could captain fantastic be making his way back before the season actually begins? i’d love if he’d be in full swing of things by the time we’re headed to goodison
Ok, has anybody actually read 50 Shades of Grey? Can’t make up my mind whether to buy it. I appreciate serious lit and serious porn, this one would be just to figure out what the fuss is all about – worth it?
champagne supernova, wonderwall and fuckin in the bushes.
3 good things to come out of oasis.
but liam and noel are absolute cunts of the highest order. can’t even get along with each other and they’re fucking brothers!!
Jeet BIG TIME, new brain chemistry studies with modern MRI’s wow new information rolling in. They gave Banobo Chimps birth control pills, in months they turned gay.!!!! They are finding the pill changes body chemistry so much the women smell different, and can not attract men, thus dressing like whores to catch our eye, wow and artificial light messes with their cycle. wow here not the place for to much discussion on this but JEET A BIG FUCKING YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny how people pay tens of quid to get entertained for 90 mins, and then think they have a right to demand how the club is run. The same people probably put their savings in the banks and let the banks do whatever with the money and earn big returns but pay back a little pittance in interest, and yet they don’t think about demanding how the bank is run and how much employees should get paid or how much the CEO should get in fees and bonuses.
Watching dressage talk about catering to rich folk what a pile of shit, how the fuck is that a sport.Should bring in a dog show fucking joke
WOW, Zibbie, didn’t know that one…sounds interesting, gotta research….
Though interesting to know that homosexuality abounded in ancient cultures (read Pamuk’s My Name is Red, or take a look at the sculptures of Khajuraho in India)….
Still, doesn’t help us straight men
Hot dog eating how come that’s not a Olympic sport
YoyYor, but if I don’t like my Bank, I can change it. If I don’t like the club debt issues, I’m not going to go and watch Chelsea. Loyalty is being exploited.
I have to go, Jeet just a taste.
http://www.webmd.com/sex/birth-control/news/20040609/birth-control-hrt-sex-drive
back four revealed for the rest of the tour. Jones at RB again. hopefully this is just for the tour. Hopefully Rafael is made the PERMANENT starting RB forever. He is by far the best RB we have at the club. Jones is a CB and should be played ONLY at CB during the season. I wish Jonny and Chirs quick recovery. Hoepfully none of the current back four gets injured during the european leg of the tour. Seeing as we ill be playing Barcelona in a very competitive pre season game. I hope no injuries will be sustained. We have to put our best foot forward as were facing a very tough everton side away first.
I’m not a big fan of playing our CH in the fullback positions either although Jones and Smalling do a good job,I know some lads don’t rate Baines but the team needs someone down the left side apart from Evra
Ash / MG , thanks for the cool heads and well reasoned posts. Much needed to combat the dead horse beating going on by certain poster(s).
ROM should really change to a forum type website. More than half of the comments are not relevant to the actual topic posted lol
Mash
RoM has a forum mate
Real going to put a 20mill bid in for Nani, with what players are being sold for must be having a laugh, the article said will test Utd’s resolve yeah right tag on another 10 mill to even make it realistic
Well fuck me sideways, just finished a barb with me renty mates who have pissed off…..What a pair of cunts ha ha ha, bastards did my head in with their Terry leader cunting bollocks, should have tossed them both in the fire……..

Damn i hate the “bleacher report” !
mig78
Epic moniker, more of an F16 person my self though
@Cedars: “…Zibbie been around even before the bible was even written”….but The Boogeyman has managed to stay at 17 since then…

CedarsDevil- That’s where I was last week in Wales watching the R A F low flying there jets , its fucking great there at 300 meters and I was at 400 meters so close to can touch them . The USAF fly F15 ‘s noisy as fuck
Daz the Bomb
Sounds epic mate, I am sure the noise alone was to die for…….Fuck formula 1, give me F15′s and F16′s over me head any day of the week!!
Jeet
Yeah the fucker has failed to make it to 18 for years! ha ha ha
Giggs12
Just a bunch of bouncing Busby Babes
I’m just wondering if SAF knocked on the Glazers door and said ‘I think you should float some shares on the stock market and give me a massive bonus’. Did he fuck. Employee’s get bonuses when this sort of thing happens, my girlfriend did, approx 200 shares. Is she also a cunt for accepting these shares? If anyone at Utd deserves a bonus its SAF and just for the record I’m pretty certain Sir Matt, RIP, would have accepted any bonus given to him.
I find it laughable that over the years Edwards and the PLC had these same fans moaning just like SAF said.
If these same fans hadn’t have blocked Murdoch the Glazers wouldn’t even be around. I’m not saying Murdoch would have been good or bad but there would be no debt. The next owners, if any, will feel the same wrath from certain supporters unless they are Oil Rich or some other sugar daddy, although I’m sure they’d be something to whinge on about.
……get yourself to that football ground, take a lesson you will see football taught by Matt Busby…
Oh Manchester, Manchester United,
A bunch of bouncing busby babes
Jimmy James
Fucking well said……..I used to work for AIG, you know, our previous sponsors…..Always got shares as bonus……Were worth 80 dollars a share when I got them, by the time I wanted to cash them they were worth 2 dollars! ha ha ha
….they deserve to be Knighted…
Cedars

That sounds like my luck.
P.S
GGMU
Oh do piss off with that GGMU bollocks
Read this morning some financial expert figures selling shares is a prelude to the Glazers selling the club also figured the shares are way overvalued think we all figured that.I’ll be surprised if many are sold think they go on sale tomorrow
@wayne. those reports are a bloody joke mate. Nani is here to stay. We will give him his contract and he will stay. I hope we don’t sign Moura so that we can use part of that money to satsify an obviously better player in Nani. also hopefully a midfielder
Wayne
Anything on how much a share?
UNITED UNITED UNITED
And each and everyone of us loves Alex Ferguson, loves Alex Ferguson
Give Nani some shares!
Give Nani some some tissue paper so he can wipe his tears every time he cries, fucking pussy
Give me a Remi Moses any day of the week………Roy Keane, Robbo et al…….Imagine Keano crying on the pitch? ha ha ha
With Jones,Rio,Vida and Evra being the only lads fit and the only cover being Rafael we should still be trying to buy a left back.
18 days till Everton and I hope we get the Baines deal tied up. Moyes is still looking for left backs so I hope he signs one soon. Because we are broke I’ve given up hope for a centre midfielder, we’ll look to Tunnicliffe for that now ! Powell will also be playing so that us done in that position.
Good Never believed in it or in this Theo wannabe. Up front the RVP thing is b/s. Kagawa will be our 4th forward behind strikers Rooney,Welbz,Chicha.
Moura deal is off
The priority is a Left Back. We’ve been cheapskates this summer spending what? £20m.
The “no value” excuse has grown tired with everyone.
This is how things are now, we can’t spend as much as Arsenal,City,Chelsea,Liverpool,Spurs overall budget wise but can compete with Sunderland
bit disappointed to hear Nuri Sahin is on his way to Arsenal.
Also why haven’t we signed somebody from Bilbao? Didn’t they have a group of 5 that whooped our Arses….twice !
Munain is best friends with De Gea…something should be done
Cedars mate, not everyone here loves Sir Alex, if you know what I mean.
by far the best thoughts on SAF stand on the glazerrrrr issue.
http://www.stretfordendarising.com/2012/07/24/sir-alex-ferguson-glazer-puppet-or-playing-the-long-game/
Pratyush
I know mate, in which case they can fuck OFF
Sahin to Le Arse confirmed?
xol, end of the day, my point is that it’s a supporter’s choice to support a club, just like you choose to stay where you are, drive the car you choose, watch the movies you watch, eat the food you feel like having, take your business anywhere you feel like. United didn’t force itself upon any supporter, it’s the supporter who chooses to make United the centre of his football world, or for some, the world. Just because one is loyal to any entity that does not belong to him does not give him any rights over the entity. Loyalty is a choice, not a means to demand for non-existent rights.
Then again of course, what do plastics like me who do not go to matches week in week out know?
Young >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nani
James no mate just said didn’t understand the timing or why any underwriter is even touching it,figured London stock market wouldn’t have touched it with a 10 foot pole but did say its easier to move a small percentage of shares at a higher price

Excellent article mate, exactly echoes my thoughts in my post above.
I mean why, WHY, would Sir Alex screw up his reputation just for the sake of a few million quid when he is already so bloody rich?
For Cedars
GGMU.
Disagree there Cedars. Nani has proven himself to be more consistently inconsistent than Young. Jokes aside, I really think Nani is a lot more talented and if only he would knuckle down and train to the same kind of intensity like Becks did, his crosses and shots and freekicks could be more deadly. At a consistent level.
mig78 – brilliant article, and without kissing my own arse, exactly what I’ve been saying since Day 1. Come to think of it, it’s so blindingly obvious. How do you marry Fergie’s personality, his life’s work and sacrifice at the altar of United, his impending retirement, with the inequity of the glazer regime, and still get Fergie’s stated position? Only one answer to this riddle…like I said, it’s so blindingly obvious, I am suprised more fans don’t catch on.
Fucking idiots – “Oooh, Fergie lead us to the barricades” – fucking, daft pussies wouldn’t probably venture ten feet outside their houses without an umbrella in wet weather.
“Oooh, I’ll wear green and gold, till the club is sold, I’ll boycott matches”. Net result, glazers make a killing out of selling green and gold merchandize to a bunch of quieter-than-graveyards-prawnmunchers.
“Oooh Fergie has sold his soul!!!” WHAT? FUCKING WHAT???

Your argument is completely flawed. Without Supporters a club is nothing! I am not saying you are plastic or any one who cant go the games but what i do say is if you only care bout the team and not the club then that doesnt make you a supporter just a fan.
GGMU
Go Go Maltesers United
Young over Nani……
Cedars is on the Schnaaps from his BBQ, not in my life time is Young in the same league as Nani.
The other thing that disgusts me is how the entire glazer-Fergie criticism inevitably centers around us not buying some fancy rentboy. So, if we just bought, say, Neymar, these fans would be over the moon, and sing 3 rousing cheers for Fergie, throw away their green and gold, only till the next time someone like a Stoke or a Blackburn, defeat, nay, draw us in the league.
FFS, the glazer issue is FAR bigger than just a matter of 30 million quid blown on some ladyboy haircut – WHAT IS SO FUCKING DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT?!!!!
Phew…deep breath…sorry for the caps, but it seems that you really just cant beat stupid…

I do not care about Nani’s talent mate, he’s a frigging pussy. never ever have I slated a United player but this lad gets under my skin
GGMU!
Giggs12: With you on that… Nani blows Young (valuable player, no doubt) out of the water, if you ask me…
YorYor
How do you know how Nani trains? Also you contradicted yourself by saying is more consistent yet needs to train to become more consistent?
My left toe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nani
Cedars, cut the lad some slack…he’s no hardman, but I doubt he cried in pain, he probably felt his leg buckle, and thought Carracunt had ended his career
Wayne
$16-$20 a share or approx £10-12 each, just found it. not sure if that’s an old figure or anything has been revised.
I must say that I was at Anfield that day and I was going mad at Nani, he can frustrate!
Giggs12Twat0, yes, you are absolutely right. Just like a business is nowt without customers. It’s just my opinion, but I actually really don’t have any problems with the way the Glazers are doing things, because that is the reality of things. The reported things they would have done back in 2005, like sell Carrington and rent it back etc, didn’t happen. As business owners, they are taking slices of profits, which is what any business owner does. It’s flawed that they could mortgage the club in order to buy back, but that’s the way the twisted financial industry works and nothing I or anyone can do about it really.
I speak truthfully – I do not for a single second believe that Man Utd would ever get wound up or go into the doldrums like a certain Leeds. Unless the world population dwindles to an extent that there are no more talented footballers or there aren’t enough population left with money to keep it going. Which by then means the whole world is pretty much gone.
this from redcafe poster.
The club (Manchester United plc) are selling 8,333,334 shares; The selling shareholder (the Glazers) are selling 8,333,333 shares. The club gets the proceeds from its sale, the Glazers get the proceeds from theirs. (That’s about $150m each at $18 per share.) After the offering, there will be 39,685,700 A shares in existence -16,666,667 sold in the IPO, the rest for corporate use – and 124,000,000 B shares – that’s the Glazers’ holding. (The Glazers could potentially sell an extra 2,500,000 shares if there is excess demand, so that number of their B shares would be converted to A shares and sold.)
Using an employee stock bonus plan is good for the club – reduces the amount of cash that needs to be paid out as bonuses. In effect the Glazers pay most of the bonuses as the issue of shares to employees is costless to the club but results in the Glazers’ ownership being diluted. (I’m having a real problem trying to figure out what the problem would be in SAF receiving shares as part of his compensation package going forwards.)
As an aside, for those who don’t understand why the club aren’t selling more shares and retiring more of the debt, the simple answer is that they can’t. The bond covenants restrict the use of the proceeds from an equity offering to retiring a maximum of 35% of the bonds – until January 2013. Makes it quite likely that there could be a “follow-on offering” in six months or so allowing us to retire more of the debt. (Would also be consistent with the 23m unissued A shares held in the company.

Any player crying on the pitch loses my respect mate……….As I said imagine Keane doing the same thing? Sorry, I am just old school, Nani is just like a fucking bay leaf
Just let cedars be. I’d like to see the look on his face when his boy toy, Ashley young, gets a Kevin Davies tackle and he squirming on the turf
Giggs12Twat0
I don’t, but considering 5 years with us and he can still be more consistently frustrating, says a lot. But I’ve always backed him even when people were calling him CR-wannabe.
But I have read about how Becks trained his foot… so if Nani trains to be more consistent, he would be less consistently inconsistent?
I thought I should let Fred know that Karagounis has decided to leave his club this summer. That should get his hopes up.

I am a customer mate, customers come and go. I was born and bred Manchester United. That’s where I completely disagree with you, i don’t know your back ground or your level of support but we will never agree if you fundamentally think of me as consumer. That’s why most reds who do disagree with debt despise the Gazers. They don’t talk to us, we don’t what is going on, we don’t know their strategy etc
I am no longer getting emotional on the matter as opinions divide, but I love my club and i wont be told we have no right to ask / question how our club is run.
on the above damn type
” I am not a customer” – Can not stress this enough

I think a lot of it does come down to frustration, with shitty and chelsea having rich owners who’ll throw big bucks in transfers for mediocre players. If Lescott was worth 22 million then I’ll show my arse in wastelands car park, 10-12 at the most. Torres is never worth 50 million in anyone’s money.
There is hardly any value because these 2 teams have taken the value out of the transfer market with their stupid fees and wages they’re willing to pay. Blackburn Rovers did the same when Jack Walker started to pump his millions into the club, Utd had a great wage structure that eventually we had to break.
slim
Davies has fucked off to the Championship mate
Parry,
Thanks for info. People who want to bitch about SAF will keep on bitching. Nothing we can do.
As an investor, I don’t like the thought of more shares ‘probably’ coming 6 months. I’d think about waiting for those instead of getting in front of that dilution. Or wish they waited until ’13 to float the shares.
Slim, yeah…what about young’s diving? Did Keano dive? Is diving old school?
We come from very different viewpoints, I guess. It’s just something I try to abide to in life – I don’t try to teach others what I have no knowledge of, or demand of others what I can’t do myself.
You are lucky, and you really should just enjoy United as it is and try dropping the angst because it’s just not worth the time. There are those who can only rely on streams to catch United, those who can only catch live blogs, and those who can only read about United’s results from news, so being able to even see the grounds is something some can only dream of. I’d gladly be a floor sweeper in OT if they have a vacancy for me.
Anyway, the ownership topic has been debated to death before, which is who can guarantee what will happen to United if a season long boycott actually works and the Glazers are forced out? Nobody knows. And that is such a huge unknown that perhaps only some individuals like Warren Buffett or Bill Gates can say with certainty what will happen, because they can make it happen. And even then, what they say will happen, may not all be good news, because who knows what they have in mind?
My problem is with the arrows being shot in the direction of SAF. The day he publishes a tell-all is the day judgement can be passed, and I dare say many of those hurling accusations in his direction will not remember, or offer even a silent apology under the breath. Once an accusation is made, damage is done.

I had no choice either, I was told I was a Utd fan by my Utd fan mad parents. I’m so relieved I was born a Red and they did hammer the fact into me. ‘You ever support the blues and you’ll be up for adoption’.
Cedars
Shit I forgot. Aight joey fucking barton then

Spot on, there’s s slot open for Ashley in the Olympic diving team. Go GB!!!
Annoys me when people say Hernandez had a poor season last year, what they seem to forget is like most of our team he was unlucky with injuries. I would take his finishing and movement in the box over anybody bar the great Ole GS.

james21, I would consider that education done the right way.
