Chicharito: I’m at the best club in the world

After winning the Gold Cup with Mexico at the weekend, Javier Hernandez has spoken about his first season with Manchester United.

“I never believed that I would adapt so quickly to Manchester United’s style,” he said. “I thought I would have just limited participation in the first year with more time on the bench than on the field and probably used when things went wrong, but I progressively gained confidence and scored goals It was all very quick and I never expected this. Things were great, and I’ve lived a dream season. I felt so good mentally on the field that it was like I’d been playing at United for ten years. To me there is no doubt. I’m in the best club in the world I want to keep winning titles.”

Colbert no he’s not playing in the copa america, pretty sure Mexico are sending a B team down to play as they put everything into the Gold cup.

    SO… MUCH…. LOVE… CAN’T STAND…. NEED HELP…

As I told, the lad is living the dream and long may it continue.

The best line about Chicharito on ROM:

    Someone: Hernandez only scores goals.
dela (I think so): What more do you want him to d, Wear a cape and fly?

It will be interesting to see how he improves next season and how he handles it when he goes off the boil. Knowing the lad, I am sure he’ll do just fine. He must be working on his passing and his holding of the ball, but I am sure he is already doing that, so it is going to be a really interesting 2011-12 for Chicharito.

  11. oneloveoneunited says:

Such a humble guy, he will become the best striker in the world in the next couple of years.

Best club in the ‘world’. Truly. Though I bet those inhabitants of planet Scous’on still labour under delusions that they’re better than United. ;-)

  14. Zelh says:

Peterborough dont want Tunnicliffe on loan, they want to sign him.
Why should we sell one of our most promised talents?

  15. parryheid says:

Unlikely to bid 20mill,try maybe half that amount if that considering the Webster situation some years ago + there’s the player buy out clause.

  16. dannysoya says:

    LUV YA CHICHA!!!!!!

  17. Costas says:

Lets hope he’ll always see this as the best club in the world. ;)

  25. CedarsDevil says:

What a signing this kid proved to be, a pure gem…. Ole has serious competition now!

  26. Costas says:

According to a red on another thread it’s probably De Gea that’s undergoing the medical. Lets wait and see.

  27. Zelh says:

    De Gea would be logical.

  28. Zelh says:

but I bet there is no medical

  29. sachu says:

    @costas
    na ,, its messi
my reliable source says its messi for 150 million

  30. Costas says:

Or maybe it’s Djemba Djemba. The big return looms large! :D

  31. sachu says:

  32. sachu says:

    @costas
jesus mate, you are the only who has always mentioned djemba djemba
him and adam in midield will be fab

  33. Costas says:

55 mil hey? And with (probably) one more signing on the way it will take the spending over 70 mil. I guess what remains to be seen is how much that will be balanced out by potential sales.

    @sachu

Oh, that’s a dram combo. I will finally get over the Keane-Scholes duo! :D

Shed a tear for River Plate lads. There but for the grace of god go I.
I have no love for River and some of their fans are utter shite, but they are a prime example of the power of competitive football.
Yet another untouchable team has shown what becomes of teams that don’t look after their football. We did the same in ’73-’74. It can happen to anybody. In rivers case, there are plenty of dire predictions of them doing a Leeds. Hope they bounce back. But appropriate to look at their fate with a touch of humility.

  36. Costas says:

    @sachu

Don’t bite mate. It’s not his account. He is an attetion seeker.

  37. Zelh says:

  38. Costas says:

    @Fletch

Yeah it’s sad when one team reaches that point. I think Franzescoli became famous there. Another club (obviously not as big) that I was sad to see relegated was Deportivo La Coruna. We had our wars with them a few years back, but I thought they had a solid structure.

  39. sachu says:

    @devil is red 19

how can my source go wrong?

I don’t see why the De Gea medical wouldn’t be true? Either way, the deal will have to be completed asap, before De gea goes on his holiday.

    @Besty07

Because at Facebook you can say it to someone’s face. Get it? ;) Seriously, don’t know what the difference is either. Just bollocks by those who are desperate to remain relevant.

  53. Zelh says:

Costas – Deal should still be done till the end of the week. Maybe he really has his medical and he just doesn’t trust his source too 100%.

  55. willierednut says:

  56. willierednut says:

It’s true about De gea, there’s a picture on twitter now. Wow! That takes our spending to over 50 million.

  57. Zelh says:

like I said. He didn’t trust his source too 100%.
dailyfail is reporting that De Gea is having his medical.

De Gea isn’t used to Manchester’s sunshine. It will take him a while.

  67. Colbert says:

    @Zelh

de Gea has a thing for blankets. He likes to pretend he is a little bunny behind the blanket and wank himself to climax.

  68. Colbert says:

Oh, and welcome David! You’ll do great, I’m sure.

  69. willierednut says:

  71. Tannor says:

    I luv u Man United

  72. YorYor says:

I’m not so sure we’ll see another signing… unless Jones is considered a forced move.
The squad is pretty much packed as it is, and it’s time to give a chance to Cleverley and perhaps Tunnicliffe.
Worst case, SAF may buy the midfielder (everyone seems to think we MUST have else we’ll be relegated) in Jan if it is really needed.

  73. Ash says:

De gea is now a done deal.
    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11667_7007545,00.html
Great news.Even if he leaves then we can sell him for profit.I hope to see another spanish player along with de gea maybe thiago from barca or mata.

  74. Utd4life says:

With the GK situation officially sorted..It’s time for SAF to get that mystical creature called “Central Midfielder”..

  75. willierednut says:

Jones wasn’t planned this season. We’ll try for a CM.

  76. Ash says:

    Yor yor
I partly agree with you that players like cleverley, morrison should be given chance but I still feel we may sign a mid fielder. We only have 3 genuine central mid fielders in carrick, ando and fletcher.
We have to accept the fact that carrick isnt the same player we bought 5 years ago.
We may not sign a so called superstar players like modric or sneijder. We may sign players like thiago or defour who may be available cheap.

  77. denton davey says:

FletchTheMan @ 14:09: “Shed a tear for River Plate lads.”

Not me – I’m a “bostero”. Reever is akin to the Kopsukkers in my world.

  78. fergie is the boss says:

Ash – you look through the entire squad lets pick them all out

    de gea 20
    Lindergaard 27
    Pig 30

    rafeal 20
    oshea 30
    ferdinand 32
    vidic 29
    smallen 20
    jones 20
    evans 23
    evra 29
    fabio20

    carrick 30
    fletcher 26
    anderson 24
    morrison 20
    cleverly 20
    valencia 24
    nani24
    young 25
    park 29
    giggs 37

    rooney 25
    hernandez 22
    berbatov 29
    owen 30
    welbeck 21

You look through the squad, the only player that needs replacing long term is carrick, has the rest of the squad is still very much in its prime

  79. YorYor says:

    Ash,

Yeah, no one except for Renee and David would know what SAF is thinking I guess.
Unless we get a bid for Cleverley and the boss lets him go, otherwise, Cleverley may be played in the middle too.
We’ll have to wait and see I guess… getting anyone outside of the EPL is always a gamble, as much as a gamble as fielding and grooming an up-and-coming one from our Reserves/Academy.
Carrick, Ando, Fletch and Park all can do a good job in the middle.
With the addition of Young, our attacking avenues are going to be largely from the flanks again? Back to old school Man Utd?
Who knows, maybe SAF would even throw Rooney into the AM role just to accommodate the talents in the strikers department.

  80. YorYor says:

fitb, but Carrick is not exactly in his sunset yet is he?
Also, what are the chances of SAF planning to retain the central pairing of Smalling and Evans, and push Jones up into Carrick’s position slowly over 1 – 2 seasons?

  81. denton davey says:

Utd4Life @ 15:37: “With the GK situation officially sorted..It’s time for SAF to get that mystical creature called “Central Midfielder”..”

That guy got signed to a five-year deal in October – WayneBoy, along with Michael Carrick, DarrenFletcherinho and Anderson (with SirRyanGiggs and ThreeLungPark in reserve) UTD”s midfield ain’t too shabby. Paul Pogba and Ryan Tunnicliffe – and some others like Davide Petrucci and, maybe, Oliver Norwood, for the future.

  82. willierednut says:

Tunnicliffe is going out on loan.

  83. denton davey says:

FergieIsTheBoss @ 15:59 – some of those ages aren’t quite right. Anderson is 22/23; Morrison is 18. I think Smalling is 21 and Phil JOnes is 19. But that’s just being pedantic – and possibly wrong, too. Your main point is correct – the squad has been made significantly younger during a transitional period in which TheLads won the 19th EPL (4th in 5 years) and made the 3rd CL final in four years. Absolutely fabulous management.

  84. fergie is the boss says:

denton davey – sorry about that. I was just giving a rough draft on the squad ages, that there is hardly a weakness in the squad overall. We are planning the future in the back 4 and keeper, from VDS ferdinand vidic evra, to de gea smallen jones da silva twins. upfront there is a combo of youth prime and experience, and mostly in midfield we have everything, all the squad is missing is the tick tock player, who can keep the whole team ticking along nicely

YorYor – well age should not be a factor on carrick, but he is still not quiet the player he was during uniteds 3 title wins in a row. I just think if we get that new linch pin long term, united will be hard to stop

  85. willierednut says:

The process has begun… Pretty obvious now, the Glazers like spending big every 3/4 years. The last splurge, was 2007. This splurge has already garnered 3 players. Could be more to come… exciting times!

  86. FletchTHEMAN says:

@Denton Davey 15:58, Yeah, understand completely. Sort of like City going down for us. But more like Liverpool for the league perspective innit? Think River has a ton of trophies so this is a big thing. Well, time will tell the quality of the club to bounce back or not.

Anyway, off to welcome De Gea. Rather talk United anyday.

  87. Ash says:

    @Fitb
Thats what I am saying.Carrick has been a great servant for our club but he hardly dominates the mid field area.Carrick should be in our club for at least next 2 seasons as experience counts but I don”t think we should have carrick as our first choice.

  89. Jeet says:

Goodnight, you sad, racist cunt!

  90. fergie is the boss says:

willierednut – I think its a great model to use, any club spending 50 to 80, either over 1 or 2 seasons they should then spend less so these signings bed in, and it makes managers work harder and think harder who to buy. The glazers thought between 2006 to 2008, hey we spent over100 million in those 3 summers.

Ash – I agree, Carrick is the shadow of the player he was 2 season’s ago, agree he does not dominate the engine room, but if fergie goes about a formation change in europe, and go for carrick fletcher and anderson it is possibly up to anderson and fletcher to be the xavi iniesta duo in a 3, and let our attacking players like young nani valencia park giggs rooney hernandez fight it out for those 3 attacking positions. If fergie does go for 433, berbatov is not going to fit into that formation, has it will require very mobile forwards who can hit teams on the break

  92. smartalex says:

Scott the Red’s main failing is that he simply ignores problems, and comments made to him.
Then, when eventually he deigns to attend an issue that has been frustrating and angering people for a long time, it is done without explanation or apology. In fact, most times he hasn’t resolved the issue, it has resolved itself. In this common instance he receives undue praise, yet fails to indicate that the issue has not been solved, but still exists.

There is absolutely no doubt that Scott the Red sits in his Ivory Tower and scorns us all.

What other conclusion can be drawn?

Is he too busy to respond to emails, comments, racism, hatred for United, and poisonous comments that are designed to destroy harmony here? No, he is not too busy. That is made abundantly clear on every thread where he asks us to vote for him, and floods us with advertising.

His precious RoM will not survive unless he:

    - Stops fostering Racism
    - Prevents vile slander against Sir Alex, the players, and United in general.
    - Realises that he is equal to each and every one of us.
    - Treats us with a modicum of respect, honesty and transparency.

No one wants to increase his workload. All we want is a little respect.

RoM is probably the most anti-United blog on the internet. Without exception.
It is simply the best place to show hatred for our great club.

The Sun, and News of the World, and RoM. They are the best place to go if you hate United.
They deliberately foster hatred, in order to increase revenue.

I am not here for the articles. I am here to be among United supporters and true Reds.
Now that RoM is over-run with those who hate United, I am no longer the happy browser who always clicks on an advert on each thread to show my support. Instead, I always leave sad and angry, simply slamming the page shut on my way out.

  93. gazzer says:

    SmartAlex
I quite like it here. I come here every day and find most people to be pretty positive. If we don’t argue and get worked up over the negative posters, then they generally will go away. Here’s a little bit of wisdom that has guided me:

Never argue with a idiot – pretty soon anyone listening won’t be able to tell which one is which.

  94. smartalex says:

gazzer – that’s very good advice indeed, thanks.

I will try to apply it, although I do find it difficult to ignore those who attack United.

Perhaps you can remind me again if I seem to have forgotten! Thanks mate.
