Chicharito: It’s Great To Be Back

After being ruled out of Manchester United’s pre-season following concussion, Javier Hernandez played with the team again as a second half sub against Tottenham Hotspur.

“It was great to play again, unbelievable,” Chicharito told MUTV. “I had one month off after the Gold Cup, and then the thing happened with my head, so it was two months without games. That was difficult but I talked to my family and friends every day when I was out, and made sure I was ready. Thankfully, for the last game against Spurs I was on the bench, then I played 10 minutes and I enjoyed it a lot.”

    Not 1st btw

  4. Kings says:

Great to have you back Chicha.

  5. United4eva says:

Never worry about goals when Chico’s in the match day squad. He simply guarantees goals. We’ve not been able to really say that about any player since Ronaldo went off to pursue his “dream”. Great to have that threat to call upon either starting or off of the bench.

  6. CedarsDevil says:

Great to have him back, his smile alone brings joy to the heart!

  7. Darth-Redder says:

    Hope Paul pogba starts tomorrow!.

  8. tevezizzatwat says:

Pogba will get his chance in the carling cup for sure….Reckon he’ll start against Leeds….

  9. Fred says:

Welcome back Chicharito, from your #1 fan here on RoM.

  10. united.george says:

    Welcome back chicharito…..

Feels odd watching brown and JOS in sunderland shirts….

  11. captaink9 says:

I just hope our fans don’t expect Hernandez to bag 20 goals. Great player but I think we will see a lot more of Welbeck.

  12. Giles Oakley says:

Welcome back to my all-time-favourite Mexican: Siesta time is over…

For once we can say of him that ‘his head wasn’t right’ and really mean it, as opposed to , say, Modric.

  13. dela says:

    @Giles

Salma Hayek still remains my all-time favourite Mexican. Chicha comes a close second though.

We’ll beat le Arse 3-0, with Chicha, Three Lungs and Rooney on the scoresheet. You heard it here first.

  14. Petey Red Red says:

I do believe chicha will have 20+ goals easy. Because he is the shiznit

  15. Fred says:

Anyone who likes Salma Hayek more than Chicharito is not a true Red. Hang your head in shame, dela.

  16. Zibbie says:

Lil Pea back in the stew that is Man Utd.
Less then 24 hours to kick off now.
I love the comment by SAF how after the performance by TC in the 2nd half of the CC, his play has picked him for the side. I say that all the time about SAF as in Smalling the twins, Wellbeck, Jones and Lil Pea. He gives them the chance and if the grab it and play well they play more.

  17. Zibbie says:

My all time favorite Mexican, a girl named Maria. I was 25 in Cabo. I saw her on the beach her brown skin shinning in the sun. We laughed drank and smoked ourselves happy.
    GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1-1

  18. Chaosred says:

I seriously can’t watch sunderland play. Seeing o’shea and brown in another shirt will make me sad.

  19. ididnotzeeit says:

    Get fucking in!

Grant Holt, aka Human Shrek has equalised at the Garden Shed. You fucking beauty. Queue the booing in T-10 minutes.

Damn, Drogba out cold on the pitch….

Rich De Laat for the winner

  20. Devil310 says:

Fuck….Drogba just got his ass knocked out!!!!

Not a pretty image….his body felt almost lifeless. Don’t personally like the guy, but i hope he recovers

  21. parryheid says:

    HeHe one each Chelsea Norwich

  22. united.george says:

drogba seems to be seriously injured…..landed flat on his face after being knocked out.

    1-1 at the bridge

  23. Fred says:

Needed Chelsea to win 3-0. This messes up my accumulator. :(

  24. Zibbie says:

    Drogba got KO’ed

  25. ididnotzeeit says:

    Definite Concussion, scary scene

  26. Fred says:

    Get well soon, DD.

  27. Zibbie says:

    Fire suits?

  28. parryheid says:

    Not a heart attack then.

  29. Red Neck says:

What an attack we will have this season, with Chicharito and the rest.If we dont finish as the top scorers in the PL i will eat my sombrero.

  30. portugueseprincess says:

    Really hope Drogba is ok.

  31. Zibbie says:

When I 1st started watching football. I was amazed more people did not get knocked senseless. Hope he if fine, as fine as he can be.

  32. Fred says:

Juan Mata will turn on the style now. Great little player.

  33. Kei says:

Put dislike aside for a moment, that was a nasty hit on the head PLUS terrible landing. I wish him well.

  34. Kei says:

Anyone think that the goal was Hillari-ous?

  35. Zibbie says:

Fred I like him as well.

  36. Zibbie says:

He like so many Spanish players. Has skill and finds space between the lines.

  37. Zelh says:

how the fuck is torres still on?!

  38. Petey Red Red says:

    How did drogba get k.o’ed?

  39. parryheid says:

  40. ididnotzeeit says:

    Tranny should’ve seen Red

    Fucking Chavs

  41. Devil310 says:

Liverpool will probably buy Holt next season….

  42. ididnotzeeit says:

Of Course, penalty at the bridge

    Fucking makes me sick

  43. Zibbie says:

    fucking red card.

  44. Petey Red Red says:

    Red!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. Fred says:

It’s great to see this outpouring of concern and compassion for an “enemy” player. You guys are doing RoM proud.

Zibbie – yes, he’s been fantastic whenever I’ve seen him play. I can’t believe Chelsea got him for so (relatively) cheap. In hindsight, he was definitely an option for us, rather than that expensive Dutch guy we passed on. I don’t believe in coveting other teams players, but I will watch Mata’s performances for Chelsea with great interest.

  46. Zelh says:

    rentboyz look fuckin shite.
not really worried about them atm.

can’t even impress against norwich – no offense though.

  47. Costas says:

Is it me or is Boas’ Chelsea struggling to kill off teams?

Oh and how many goals did Torres score today?

  48. Costas says:

    Sunderland’s defence looks awfully familiar…

  49. slim says:

11 additional minuets at the bridge. fergie time. haha

  50. united.george says:

Great effort by norwich though….they are taking it to chelsea.

  51. Fred says:

Costas – it’s early days yet, give AVB a chance.

  52. Devil310 says:

I’m very impress with De Laet. He seems to have bulked up, his positioning is way better but specially he seems pretty confident.

  53. Fred says:

Sounds like some shenanigans went on at Ewood Park. A penalty for “climbing” in the last minute giving Everton the 1-0 win. According to the BBC man the decision was “mystifying”.

  54. ididnotzeeit says:

Chelsea timewasting at home to a ten man Norwich

    John Terry is a Cunt

  55. Costas says:

The worst thing about Drogba’s injury is that they’ll have to rely on Torres more from now on. :)

    @Fred

Ok. I am giving him until the Old Trafford game. ;)

  56. Fred says:

Mata scores after a gift of a pass from De Laet. LOL oh dear. Devil310, you were saying…?

  57. Devil310 says:

….and right after I compliment him, he goes ahead and makes me look bad

  58. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Devil310

He just picked up an assist…was having a good game though, see if he can keep his confidence after that, test of character.

  59. united.george says:

What a mistake from de laet though….chelsea win it 3 to 1

  60. CedarsDevil says:

Looked like a bad injury to Drogba, very nasty to see to be honest……

In other news I am so pleased Blackburn lost again, I hope they get relegated, not sure why but I just dislike them a lot these days

  61. Fred says:

Cedars – I don’t like Blackburn either and predicted a while ago that they would be relegated this season. However, I don’t like to see anyone getting screwed by referees.

  62. ididnotzeeit says:

I will give De Laet a break though, lad had to be exhausted after those 98 minutes.

Norwich started out in a 3-5-2?!?!? The fuck?

  63. Costas says:

De Laet has played in a 3-5-2 for us. At a game he’d rather forget..

Anyway, the lad is learning and hopefully he will be ready for the United team in a year.

  64. markg says:

hope blackburn go down, don’t like them at all

  65. CedarsDevil says:

Fred – I agree about bad decisions, do not like teams losing that way….. Have not seen it to be honest,.

  66. Fred says:

Ritchie De Laet has no future at United. However, he will make the Glazers a nice profit of a million or so when he is sold to Norwich permanently.

  67. Troy says:

Sounds like the referee at the Blackburn game was poor. He gave 2 soft penalties.

  68. Zelh says:

good game by de laet, but poor pass to give mata the chance to score.

  69. Fred says:

ididnotzeeit – I don’t think the 98 minutes is a reasonable excuse. Was he doing shuttle runs for the 11 minutes that Drogba was down? Of course not – he was getting a rest, like every other player on the pitch.

Cedars- I’ve not seen it either, I’m just going by what I’ve read. I’ll try to find a video of the incident now.

  70. Fred says:

Troy – it was Lee Mason, the guy who gave two penalties for West Ham and then one for us in the 4-2 game last season. :)

  71. Fred says:

Oh and tbf, seeing as he gave Blackburn a soft penalty as well, it probably cannot be said that he was trying to screw them deliberately, as I suggested earlier. Fair enough. :)

  72. Zibbie says:

    Go Bolton!

  73. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Fred

Said I’d give him a break, not an excuse. Shouldn’t make those errors but I understand why he’d be more susceptible to a mental breakdown like that after playing his guts out all day long. Point is, it happens and he was playing well, I’m not going to tear a strip out of the kid but I won’t give him a pass either. It didn’t really mean much in the result so hopefully the lad shakes it off.

  74. soren says:

my all time favourite mexican: Me :) my all time favourite player mexican: Chicharito

  75. Zibbie says:

Get well soon Holden, he has done well for himself and representing the US.

  76. markg says:

    jonnie sends his love

  77. denton davey says:

    Ididnotzeeit @ 16:35: “Tranny should’ve seen Red”

I watched the second half of the RentBoyz’ match – Torres should have had a red card for kicking the guy in the goolies – second time he did that, too ! It looked to me like Ramires made an absolutely-perfect dive as he seemed to be “anticipating” contact, kinda like TheWayneBoy did a few years ago against TheArse. Poor refereeing.

The Norwich keeper’s punch to Drogba’s head was also a potential red card; and Drogba’s crash-landing was pretty gruesome. For a change he wasn’t play-acting. It was a very scary situation. Drogba is one of those players who I just “hate” ‘cos he’s on the other team but would just “love” if he would be on my team.

It was interesting to see how old – I’m not sure that I’d call it “experienced” – the RentBoyz starting line-up was. I guess AVB is letting some of these veterans play themselves out of the team so that he can make adjustments with a minimum of dressing-room argy-bargy. But relying on Drogba, Malouda, Terry, Lampard, Boswinga, and Torres (can he do otherwise than “rely” on Torres ?) looks to be a losing-hand for a long, long season. Their new blood – Ramires, Luiz, Mata, (and ?? Perreira and Modric ??) – are all hardened, young-professionals so they’ve got strength-in-depth. The kid they just signed – Lukaku – looked like he has a clue, too. But, for all that strength-in-depth the RentBoyz are still some way from being the team that won back-to-back EPL titles in Maureen’s first two years. That team had excellent width with Robben and Damien Duff while most of their core players were five/six years younger than they are now. Now, they look “stodgy” in attack and increasingly prone to defensive “whooopsies”. But maybe that’s just my wishes taking over from my better-sense.

Beyond that, Norwich’s #5 – Morison – was just terrible; I counted three or four instances where someone with more “quality” could have done much, much better in situations that might have resulted in a goal. But, that’s the real problem with these newly-promoted teams – they’re made up of “try-ers” and not “do-ers”.

I also thought that Ritchie De Laet (from UTD on loan) did well for Norwich until he gifted the ball to Juan Mata for the third goal. De Laet still might have a role at UTD as a kind of “super-sub” a la John O’Shea – he’s young and versatile and is gaining great experience by playing full-time.

  78. markg says:

can only be good for De laet and us he is playing regulary and at a good level

  79. ididnotzeeit says:

    @ Denton

That Morrison bloke had me f’in screaming. I’m pretty sure I heard Grant Holt’s comments from the comfort of my sofa when Morrison skied a lovely set piece over the bar instead of playing it across. Remember saying to myself at least 3 times: “well that was just poor, who was that?” None other than Norwich’s #5

Regarding Torres’ sending off, he escaped a 2nd yellow, right in front of the referee, 2 minutes prior to the penalty. 3 players had already been booked for less blatant offences and the ref was standing right fucking there.

Disgusting. Speaking of which, fuck the Scousers

  80. Philip says:

“Hello! Hello! said its good to be back, good to be back!”

Its great to have him in the team again. Probably chica and rooney on top tomorrow.

  81. Zelh says:

Has anyone read the comments from Liverpoo’s owner Henry about our squad?
I bet scousers are going mental about him right now

  82. Mahesh says:

    How shit are Bolton exactly?

  83. wayne says:

Sorry if I offend any bleeding hearts but Drogba can go fuck himself, dives and fakes injury all the time,if you cry Wolf long enough sooner or later the Wolf will bite you on the ass

  84. Fred says:

Soren – I never knew you were Mexican. With a name like yours, I assumed you were Scandinavian.

Anyway, greetings to all Mexican Reds. 8)

  85. CedarsDevil says:

    Zelh

The link to Henry’s quote was posted by Balaji on another thread, he did say that United are way ahead of Liverpool!

Speaking of Liverpool, is there actually any crowd at Anfield? Bloody dead atmosphere

  86. TonyBee says:

  90. FletchTHEMAN says:

  91. CedarsDevil says:

    Hiya TonyBee

Agreed my friend, not impressed with the dippers at all……….. Suarez seems like the only decent player there

  92. Fred says:

Tuncay to come off the bench and score a last minute equaliser. YHIHF.

  93. CedarsDevil says:

  96. FletchTHEMAN says:

  109. united.george says:

@CedarsDevil – doing alright, thanks for asking, hope you are doing good too. Thank god for United, or else what a boring ass life it would be. Especially when you live in the US where your life is pretty much centered around work 24 hours a day!

Danny Drinkwater > Roberto Aquafresca!!….and thats a fact!

  110. CedarsDevil says:

  114. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – alright pal, hows tricks? Got a question and was wondering if you could help me out. Or anyone else on here for that matter. Sir Alex took over Manchester United in November 96…. when was the the first time one of his teams reached the top of the table (even if it was for half an hour before other teams kicked off) Reason being some cock in the pub earlier turns round to me and says “King Kenny has taken 10 minutes to do what it took Fergie 10 years to achieve! It’s great at the top top!” I asked him what he meant and he said top of the league? I didn’t have all the facts to hand so didn’t want to get drawn in to an argument as he was obviously talking bollocks, but explained they would more than likely only be there for less than 24 hours and i’m pretty sure it took King Dogshit more than 10mins!! Any help appreciated.

  115. CedarsDevil says:

    Mike

I just hope you did not mention to him that Sir Alex took over in 96 buddy, else he would have had a lot of ammunition against you!

As for your question and in all honesty I cannot for the life of me recollect United’s position at the start of seasons as far back as the late 80′s….. Need to do some internet research and hopefully come up with something, I am sure our friend Costas wold have an answer for us quicker than I could find it

  116. CedarsDevil says:

    Mike

Here is an excellent site, get searching as will I………………You can get the table from any week and from any season

    http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2008-2009/table/2009-04-05

  117. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – I did kind of mention that this was Kenny’s second stint in charge but on hindsight I think he took over a winning side with that Liverpool team and probably got instant success. My worn out brain cells struggle to go back that far though!! Come on Costas, help me out with some ammunition. I did tell him that Sir Alex had managed to Get us 19 titles a lot sooner than Kenny who had a huge head start!

  118. mikekelly12 says:

cedars – cheers pal, I’ll have a butchers.

  119. Mahesh says:

Cedars – you mean Di Santo, not Dos Santos.

  120. CedarsDevil says:

Mahesh _ I do indeed! oops lol

You have to admit I was close though!

  121. King Eric says:

Two weeks on spin bolton have bent over and took it up the fucking shitter. Once again we will be their cup final. Gary fucking Cahill? Don’t think wenger was far wrong with his six million valuation. He is fucking gash. Just an over rated english centre half. Useless. That’s it lads. Liverpool will win the title now. Fucking vermin.

  122. CedarsDevil says:

    Mike

Got one! 31st August 1987 (First full season for Sir Alex) United were top after 5 games…

    Here it is

    http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/division-one-old/1987-1988/table/1987-08-31

  123. united.george says:

@King Eric – actually, wolves will win the title as they battle it out with liverpool and chelsea since they are all on 7 points. late season heroics by wood and mccarthy’s tactical genius will give wolves the premier league title come may.

the rest of us are doomed, since we are in 5th place, we will at least have the europa league next season! yipeee.

looks like arsenal are trying to sign another Park from south korea….

  124. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – Got it!! It took Sir Alex 5 games in his first season to get United to the top and he didint spend £150million or whatever it is he spent! !! It also took Dalglish 36 games in his first season to get the scousers to the top, not 10 mins!

  125. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – Beat me to it pal. Cheers for the help mate.

  126. FletchTHEMAN says:

Gutted for Drogba. Don’t wish that on anyone.

Latest from the Telegraph suggests he will be released from Hospital which is excellent news.
Shheeeesh. Best to him and his family.

Good news mate………… There are players that I hate with a passion but i would never wish serious harm on any of them

  128. manu4eva says:

    3-0 tomorrow.

  130. pablo says:

gearing myself up for tomorrow.early start in the gorse to watch shitty lose to the spuds then onwards to the stretty end to watch us hopefully demolish the arse……CMON YOU REDS!!!

  131. redrider says:

norwich did not deserve to lose. Fucking ramires… the whole game was a laugh riot. no cohesion between
the players… goof ups had me in splits.

thank fuck that troll obi mikel plays for them instead of us.

waiting for the Arse with absolute disgust towards wenger for reducing them to this.

  132. Mahesh says:

Good news on the Drogba front – ‘mild concussion’ I understand. Good post Cedars – it is one thing hating players on the pitch, it is altogether another thing to take pleasure or being indifferent to potentially serious injuries or other personal misfortunes…

  133. dannysoya says:

Drogba will be fine thank God. i thought he was faking till i saw the replay horrible incident. Good luck on recovery didier. I don’t know but there is a feeling in me that wants hernandez to start tomorrow. COME ON UNITED!!! show them who’s boss.

  134. pablo says:

i see jamie gobshite reckons our 3-0 battering of the spuds was over hyped by the press yet the dippers victory over bolton was champions form…..fucking prick!! wish he’d fuck off was hoping yorkie would chin the cunt

  135. parryheid says:

As usual overacting like the twitching legs episode.Drama queen.

  136. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Off the pitch, Drogba is a good man, has his own charity, donates thousands and does his bit to prove he is an excellent person and human being off the pitch and a lot that meet him say he is very nice.

On the pitch he’s a dick but who isn’t when playing for scum like chelsea.Guys like Mata & Silva should be playing at either Arsenal,Spurs or United. Their abilities are wasted and unpraised at dirt like chelski and shitty.

Speedy recovery to droggy, slow one to the cunt gerrard and fuck off Cunt Lump Lowly (CLL) Terry.

  137. Zelh says:

lol wankfest on MOTD cause Liverpoo won 3-0 against fucking Bolton.
    my fucking arse.

  138. King Eric says:

Yeah don’t like to see anyone get injured but once again I may sound a heartless cunt but can’t say I am as concerned about some on here about Drogba. At least he is ok.

Just watched the highllights and the rentboys are shite. No pace or energy. Late fucking pen. Typical. Bad mistake by our Ritchie as well. The ladyboy should have walked the horrible cunt. Seriously folk when the fuck is this has been gonna get some flak? ONE bastard goal for fifty million is a fucking piss take.

  139. King Eric says:

Pablo. Spot on pal. Its time that no medal spice boy cunt shut his cake hole the jealous prick. He knows united will win the league again.

Off topic but Henderson has a face you wanna smash. Long faced lanky bastard. Fucking lurch.

  140. denton davey says:

King Eric @ 23:09: “Its time that no medal spice boy cunt shut his cake hole the jealous prick.”

C’mon m8, tell us what you really think of ‘arry’s lad.

  141. FletchTHEMAN says:

Gibson pulled out of Ireland Squad because of injury and will stay at United. No loan then?

    http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2011/Aug/gibson-injury-confirmed.aspx?

  142. Zelh says:

So deal between Nasri and us was agreed, then citeh came in, offered 40k a week more, the deal stalled due to his agents demands of 4m pounds for brokering the deal and he came crawling back like a little cunt but we smashed the fucking door into his ugly cuntface.

  143. ROHANalwaysRED says:

u know what the best part is??…..torres is with the rent boys…..imagine if the loserfools had kept their 35 million n kept torres at analfield …..he n suarez would have scared the fuck outta defenders……wats with bolton???…y on earth do they give opposition so much open space??……thank god they dont have to play those barca midgets….LOL…..as for us …we r gonna make wenger wish he never was a coach …..am guessing 4-0,5-0……

Zehl, This your source as well?

  146. Zelh says:

    FletchTHEMAN

  147. MG says:

    Happy Birthday to Papii

    Happy Birthday to Papii

    Happy Birthday dear RED Papii

    Happy Birthday to you ;)

Their it’s an omen for a huge win – said it first

  148. Mahesh says:

Zelh: what are you basing this on mate?

  149. Mahesh says:

    Got my answer!

  150. MG says:

    Nasri story –

Fucking comedy – serves the bastard right if that’s how it went down

    Nani  Nasri

  151. FletchTHEMAN says:

    C’est l’argent Sammi, c’est l’argent !! Ne pleure pas!

  152. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Thanks MG, Wanted to wait till the day of the game to annouce the day of my birth.

If United batter Arsenal, I would collapse in happyness and probably cry because of the state i’ll be in by 4:00, I doubt i’ll remember the game but a 4-0 scoreline and a bruised body from the collapse will make it a rememberable game and day for me.

:D My Wish is SAF finds the Phillosopher’s Stone soon or Paul Scholes comes out of retirement after having new legs installed.

  153. MG says:

    Papii

    Your welcome :)

Or SAF could yet wield the one true ring to rule them all…

  154. Mahesh says:

The Nasri story, if accurate, reflects very poorly on him. But even more than that, what is shocking to me is the amount of influence the scums of the earth knows as agents have.

  155. wayne says:

Don’t understand this i hope Drogba is ok bollocks he’s a cunt and if him and terry died in a car carsh tonight,i wouldn’t be sending a reef or losing sleep, that’s for sure

  156. MG says:

    wayne

Of course they may be cunts but wanting them to die is not our thing

Especially when even to this day our dead are still mocked

I wish them to happily be outplayed and lose a match than anything else happen to them

Do not forget that many people would very much like United or SAF to die in order to achieve winning the trophies

Thats just my point of view

Goodnight United and goodnight wayne see you back here tomorrow all safe and sound

  157. Samuel - united WE stand says:

i think this is were anyone with basic common sense would differentiate football from real life.

Just because you’re not drogba’s biggest fan does not Mean you’d wish harm on his life, yeah he dives, cheat, whinge (it’s rare to find any footballer who doesn’t this Day’s) but at end of the day, its only a game albeit made more important due to the money.

I for one hopes he recovers well.i think this is were anyone with basic common sense would differentiate football from real life.

  158. slim says:

    damn wayne chill out

  159. slim says:

oh boy now chelski have gone to hernandez former club to get a player. looks like they all want a chicharito.

Calling it here, the league is going to be shit this year

  160. wayne says:

@MG lol i didn’t say i wanted them to die, said if it happened not going to lose sleep.
Being honest if i had to choose between saving Terry and Drogba or a Dog,bet on the dog.

  161. Mahesh says:

Wayne – I’m just going to have to disagree with you completely there, and completely disagree with the sentiment of it.

Apart form the points that MG has made pretty well, the fact is that I firmly believe (and most of us here do) that our dislike/hate for opposing players needs to be left on the football pitch. You hate him because of he is a Chelsea player, and because of his conduct on the football pitch, but I don’t see how that can lead to take pleasure in career and potentially life threatening injuries. I don’t know if this will make you change your mind, but in the particular case of Drogba, the guy is a stand up guy outside of the football pitch and as a human being I have immense respect for him. The amount of charity work he has done is commendable, and the man has taken active interest and worked towards bringing peace in his civil war wracked country, the Ivory Coast. To try and deny to the world a guy like this, who has actually put his immense fortunes to productive and noble uses, purely because of who he plays for and some of his conduct on the football pitch, is just plain wrong to me.

  162. wayne says:

i’m pretty chilled already, thanks anyway slim.

  163. Samuel - united WE stand says:

Anyone read the bitterness in the comment section of the daily mail article about itv showing united rather than city in the first champions league games? wow some people really are bitter.Anyone read the bitterness in the comment section of the daily mail article about itv showing united rather than city in the first champions league games? wow some people really are bitter.

  164. wayne says:

@Mahesh,didn’t say i wanted him dead, said if he did die i wouldn’t be losing sleep.Don’t care what he does outside of football but his cheating ways and bullying refs tell me what kind of person he is.
The large % of celebrites give away money.for tax benifits and good publicity,he’s just one of thousands, doesn’t make him some great manI’m in no way connected to him don’t like him, hate the club he plays for and if he died tomorrow would have no effect on me in anyway.

  165. Mahesh says:

@Wayne – Thats your opinion, and its based completely on your football loyalties, and you have right to it. I’m just goint to have to disagree with you. If these guys are contributing meaningfully to society outside of football, I don’t care two hoots about their conduct on the football pitch. And in Drogba’s case, I do genuinely believe that he has do a great deal for his country and Africa not just by throwing money at it, but actively using his influence and popularity to try and redirect politics in more useful directions. I can’t say the same about the likes of Terry, Barton, Gerrard etc. so I am naturally more indifferent to their fates, although I would still feel sorry for the loss of a life, whoever’s it might be.

So, lets just agree to disagree. See you on here tomorrow!

  166. wayne says:

@Mahesh i agree mate we just see things differently, you are clearly a humanitarian,me not so much lol

  167. Mahesh says:

  168. wayne says:

The Old Gunner rivarly was a good one,now they’ve gone to shit,i guess City are the next ones to take a shot.Rentboys,Arse going backwards,Dippers already backwards.Utd are like a heavywieght champ that takes on all comers.

  169. markg says:

who cares if Drogba writes off his tax money

  170. Bad Wolf says:

Glad to have you back lad

To all my fellow Red’s on the East coast of the U.S. Stay safe.

  171. c-losq says:

Question for everyone that calls him chico. Do you think that chico or is short for chicharito? Chico is a completely different word. If you want to shorten his nickname, then appropriate one should be chicha. I guess I’m being anal about it, but when I read you guys calling him chico it just annoys me.

  172. Koss says:

Can someone remind liverpool how its hard to regain epl title after 22yrs of blindness.rem 92-93 season injured referee(rarely happen) 7 fergie times, brucey double act.martin atkinsonski would hide a damaged ligament 2 just ruin united chances.welcome back chica, get in there.TC pass it 2 da net

  173. slim says:

    @Mahesh

you’re wrong. its a SUPER,DUPER piece. awesome. the arsenal comments at the end show they still don’t get it. haha one idiot called it artistry vs savagery. Pissed my self with laughter with that one

  174. Sandeep1878 says:

in his debut season chciha scored against the big 4 four clubs chelsea, Liverpool except arsenal..

    so time to make ammends..

Rooney, Young and chicha to score..

    UNITED

  175. Sandeep1878 says:

    Happy birthday Papii..

    have a wonderful day..rock on..cheers

  176. TonyBee says:

I cant understand all the love on here for Rubber lips Drogba…. have read ‘don’t wish that on anyone’ from several posters and could not believe what I was seeing…..

Jeez….come on lads get real….fuck him and hid histrionics…he is a cheating diving petulant bastard and finally got what was due to the cunt…..just a shame Captain Bulldog never caught one too …

    Fuck him big style

  177. Costas says:

    Has Sneijder signed yet?

  178. scan74 says:

here here drogba has spent a fucking lifetime conning & faking what gos around cheating twat

  179. CedarsDevil says:

    TonyBee

I can feel your pain, your opening few words touched me, you say ‘I can’t understand’

Do not worry about it mate, it takes time to understand, its a learning process, part of your evolution if you like……..Some people are simply late bloomers, but blimey you have taken it a bit too far

    Costas

I was going to ask that question on the morning of the 1st! :-)

  180. Mikekelly12 says:

    Morning fellas
Cedars – thanks for your help last night, that website is quality. Looking forward to the match today, just had my obligatory text msg from United telling me not to chant “crude personal abuse” at Arsenal officials! As if I would….. I don’t even know them personally!!
Nasri- what a horrible cunt! Delighted we told him to fuck off, don’t need that type of player here!!

  181. CedarsDevil says:

    Hi Mike

Glad it helped, I actually found it by accident! I usually turn to Costas for help on such matters.
Really looking forward for today, nothing beats the feeling you get on match day, everything about the day seems different, the anticipation, the build up and so on…. I just love it. Nice to know you will ‘behave’ today lol

Whether he starts or comes on at some stage I really hope Hernandez scores, I bloody love his goal celebrations….

  182. Mr C says:

Good luck to Chico. Hope he gets a start against the Arsenal today. As the season gets serious it is important many reasons that our best (i.e. most talented and most effective) strikers get decent game time. Chico, Berba, Nani… Nani, Berba, Chico…Berba,Nani, Chico.

  183. Mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – i agree, special match day buzz! I don’t want to count my chickens or jinx us, but this has got to be the weakest Arsenal side we’ve played in years. Weaker than the side we played in last seasons FA Cup and we destroyed them with the twins in midfield!! I hope we throw down a huge marker by disemboweling them in front of the watching millions. Chicharito hat-trick!!
Clint – happy birthday pal. There were some proper bitter responses to that ITV article… funny!

  184. CedarsDevil says:

    Papii

Happy birthday, hope you have a blast and remember you can only ever be 16 once so make the most of it :-)

  185. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Mahesh, Thanks for the link to the brilliant Red Nev article. In fact, all of his articles are actually very, very good. Really insightful with an obvious intention to provide a perspective from the United side which has been lacking in the British media for far too long. I am going to pre-ordering Red today (I’ve already ordered 19 as well, speaking of which, I have no idea when it is due).

@Costas, Squeaky bum time in the transfer window.

    @Papii, Happy birthday mate!

Waking up on matchday is so awesome especially when you are looking forward to giving the gooners a right royal drubbing. I expect Arsenal to play out of their skin in the hope that they can salvage some early season pride, but I don’t think it will be enough to stop a comfortable victory for us.

  186. Paul H says:

Just received the now annual text from United reminding fans on conduct this afternoon. Have to say I totally agree. I cringe every tine the single brain-celled moron in front of me spends the afternoon grunting about pedos.

The Fans’ Forum, Sir Alex and the Club urge all fans at this afternoon’s game to get behind the team and not to chant crude personal abuse at Arsenal officials.

  187. Petey Red Red says:

Hey people! What a lovely day to go top of the prem 

  188. CedarsDevil says:

I have to agree with Willie here, the point he made is really beyond argument.

  189. parryheid says:

Well that makes it easier for me knowing it wasn’t because we could not afford a deal for Nasri but principal.Much more satisfying but what about Mata?also will we nab one of the bargains available on the last day of the transfer window.

  190. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Thanks for Birthday messages lads

That Red Nev Article is actually super duper califragilisticsomethingspastic….espialladiplodocias

Red Nev is a fake United Fan, he is a glory hunter, go support your local club !
“I grew up in Bury, just up the road from Manchester. Right from the start, I loved United and I loved an argument. So it was always going to be a volatile mix when I went to a school full of Liverpool fans.”

  191. RJ says:

    @CedarsDevil
Every club wants their own Little Pea, but what they’re getting is flops!

  192. shubhang_manred says:

    FIRED UP for the match!
I am in a hostel from now on, so not really sure if i will be able to watch it.
    Preferred line up:
    DDG
    Smalling Ferdinand Jones Evra
    Nani Cleverley Park Young
    Rooney Berbatov

Subs: Lind, Evans, Giggs, Fletcher, Carrick, Chicho, Welbeck.

  193. CedarsDevil says:

So Mark Lawrenson reckons United should play Jones regularly for the sake of his England career as he is the obvious choice to step in for Terry & Rio….

Really Mark? Really? Why don’t you take the England set up and shove it…

United will do what’s best for Jones and what is best for the club…..Fucking idiot

  194. Gandalf says:

Anyone has a good link [if possible with English commentary] for the game today? much appreciated.

  195. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Agree with cedars, England can fuck off, they take our lads and blame them for global warming, the war on terror, Obama’s failure. Just look at Becks and Rooney, Hung by the neck during tournaments and crucified afterwards but as soon as another international game is coming up they welcome them back only just to destroy them again.

Lawro can suck Hansen’s balls, failure of a manager that sits on a sofa pretending to know about football. Do up your top button you old cunt no one wants to see your chest.

  196. Costas says:

My guess for the line up:

DDG – Smalling, Evans, Jones, Evra – Nani, Cleveley, Anderson, Young – Rooney, Berbatov

I really don’t believe Berba will start, but no a little delusion every now and then doesn’t hurt.

    @Cedars

When September 1st arrives and we haven’t signed him, I’ll take the piss even more.

  197. CedarsDevil says:

    Papii

Which football school did Lawro graduate from? Ah yes, Liverpool… Its where they take in idiots and turn them into complete zombies.

    Costas

I feel that Rio will start ahead of Evans, I can also see a start for Hernandez ahead of Berba (As much as I want the Berb to start!) Then again I am sure and as always Sir Alex will surprise us all

  198. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Everyone wants a good egg like Chico, but end up with Mushy Peas.

Chelsea can’t scout a good onion from a bad one.
They think by signing that lad from Barca…he’s the next cesc. NO
They think in signing Lukaka for £18m, they got baby drogba. NO
NO “(snapping up another exciting Mexican prospect: 20-year-old Ulises Davila.”)
Liverpool signing some mexican guy aswell. NO

Difference between our club and those shits are. We have good scouts and that don’t roam Fifa 11 for up and coming talent. Unlike those shits, we give our lads every opportunity to prove themselves. The manager also protects the lads.

Look who we’ve found recently; Chico, Smallings, Twins, Evra, Vida, Ronnie, Cleverley, Anderson, Nani etc.

Who have the rest excluding Arsenal found that have been picked of “nowhere” to prove they are gems.

  199. Samuel - united WE stand says:

Did i just see people drop anderson? i guess his top performances have gone unnoticed, i’m sorry but he’ll be starting alongside whoever else.

  200. Mikekelly12 says:

Cedars & Clint – Spot on! Why THE FUCK would we go out of our way to help the FA?!! They’ve been on our backs since before 58 and that cunt Bernstein has taken over the batton. So yeah, fuck off Lawrenson!!

  201. CedarsDevil says:

PLTV are so fucking bitter…. Ahead of each big game they show highlights from a classic between the teams playing………. Out of all the matches between United and Arsenal they are showing highlights of the game that won Arsenal the title at OT….lol

    Bitter fucks

  202. Costas says:

    @Cedars

I’m sure he might surprise us in some way. After Sir Alex said that he was wondering whether to go with Hernandez or Welbeck today, I started wondering if this was a bluff and we could see Berbatov start today. But it’s a long shot.

  203. MG says:

    Breaking News

Wesley Sneijder is stuck in New York – def. wants the transfer to happen but because the airports and the ports are closed their is no way he can make it to England since NY is in a state of emergency.

  204. Mikekelly12 says:

I think the only change will be Rio for Evans.

  205. CedarsDevil says:

    Samuel

Well said re Anderson my friend….. How are your nerves holding up? lol

  206. MG says:

    Morning Manchester United :)

My brother has treated me yet again to a match (chavs at home) – I think it’s his way of holding onto something as his marriage day gets closer

  207. Zelh says:

I would go with 4-5-1 today with Park up front :)

  208. MG says:

Other reports have suggested that Wesley is indeed part of the rebels that has overthrown the Libyan government

Apparently his wish to see democracy through means that he won’t make the transfer to United

SAF has wished him good luck.

  209. wayne says:

Morning Reds i’m thinking Park will get a game plays well against the Arse and hasn’t had much playing time yet.

  210. Mikekelly12 says:

Never really got the Hype surrounding Rodwell?

  211. CedarsDevil says:

Fuck this shit, I now have to listen to Townsend for a few hours as the bloody studio pundit

  212. Zelh says:

23m + player? fuck me I hope we don’t sign him.
    Totally overrated.

We should go for Yan M’Vila.

  213. MG says:

Some reports are suggesting that city have offered Sneijder 500,000 a week but his heart is set on United

However his agent wants 100 million in agent fees but it appears that United will not pay this and have told the Agent of Sneijder in no terms to fuck off

city are prepared to bite the bullet and pay the Agent but it is believed that Sneijder and his Agent are fighting amongst each other

A source close to Sneijder has told us that he does not want to do a “Nasri” and would rather stay at Inter than move to city if he cannot get a transfer to his beloved United

  214. MG says:

    Morning wayne ;)

Rio Official Spurs twitter-ati spokesman has just twittered this:

@Arry – working on a deal to get Sneijder on loan and for free – asking Moratti to dinner – says the chairman has it under control – wicked news for Spurs!

  215. mikekelly12 says:

Cedars – I feel for ya, Townsend is a proper cunt!

  216. wayne says:

@Cedars lol i get the same feed as you fucking hate even looking at big nose.
@markg no one gives a fuck what Drogba does with his tax money, why even make that comment makes no sense or if it’s directed at someone maybe put the posters name.No comment prior to your comment gives you any reason to write that??.If your going to post try and make sense please.

  217. Petey Red Red says:

  220. MG says:

    Afternoon Watson

I don’t know so many conflicting reports – wonder which is the real one – must investigate…

  221. CedarsDevil says:

Cheers TonyBee, you’re always up for a good laugh…..Equally as excited here mate…

wayne – Its painful right, Curbishley is not that much better is he. Do you ever phone in to Fanzone?

  222. TonyBee says:

USAIN BOLT DISQ FROM THE 100m FINAL – FALSE START….SNEidjers fault

  223. fergie is the boss says:

Costas – yea almost the side, we can name the 10 of the 11. But who is going to partner rooney in attack

  224. wayne says:

@MG morning mate ‘arry really is a master at everything in his own mind,WS and Modric Spurs midfield will be looking pretty good.

  225. Moses says:

I have seen his before when we’ve played a side in crisis and everyone expects us to win easy but it is them games when you end up not winning. We need an early goal if we are to win but I do not expect us to win because english sides are at their best when under the type of pressure Arsenal are experiencing now.

  226. MG says:

Was that Sneijder that just gave Bolt a card?

  227. MG says:

    wayne

    I’m jealous ;)

  228. CedarsDevil says:

    wayne

Did you just hear Curbishley? Said that the fear factor is back at Anfield, teams know they are beaten before stepping out on the pitch….!!!

To think these idiots get paid for spouting shit

  229. wayne says:

@Cedars no i’ve never phoned, last year had big Sam on a couple of times he was good. The presentor is that a rug he’s wearing or real can never make up my mind.

  230. MG says:

    Cedars

    Anfield fear factor

Give me a five scouse house

  231. wayne says:

@Cedars no mate my computer is in a different room to the tv not into listening to pundits as you say get paid to fill in time and talk shit.
Don’t see the fear factor at Liverpool, signed some ave players for too much money and the players who have been driving the club for years are getting past i.Dippers seem like a run of the mill team to me.Did good business getting rid of trannyboy then blew 35mill on Carroll,be lucky to get 15mill for that tosser, what a waste of money.

  232. mikekelly12 says:

Right fellas, off to the boozer to watch a Modric inspired Spurs vctory and then off to The Thearter to watch a United master class (fingers crossed!). Enjoy the game fellas. COME ON UNITED!!!!!!!!!

  233. CedarsDevil says:

wayne – Do not mind the presenters so much, actually I think Georgie Bingham is quite hot… She comes across as one of those chicks that likes it rough! lol

I remember they also had Quinton Fortune a couple of times but after he over praised Sir Alex they axed him!!

    MG – Hahahaha

  234. wayne says:

@Cedars i’m talking about the the 3rd dude with big nose and Curbishly,i don’t get the hot women in the mornings just on Sky Sports news.
I agree about Georgie has the slut thing going on i’d do her over Hayley[sorry MG]

Right, definitely off now… been putting it off cos the weather looks shit! Blowy as fuck outside! Enjoy the game fellas, hopefully speak to you all on the other side of a Manchester United victory!!

  237. Balaji Sivaraman says:

I fucking hate Samir Nasri. Always have, and now that he has joined the bitters, I physically despise him.

    That is all.

  238. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Based on past head to head form, tactics, formations and players that do well vs arsenal in the past, My Team Would be;

    De Gea
    Fabio, Rio, Evans/Jones , Evra
Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Fletch/ Cleverley, Park
    Rooney

I reckon we’ll go with the same 11 that took out Spurs to keep form and momentum and as a treat to the young un’s for the their good form. I always seem to go with a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 nowadays. We don’t really stray off from them nowadays but the 4-4-2 always has me nervous because we will in some point of the season have a dip in form in the middle of the park and hopefully the return of Fletch is like a new signing, Carrick & Giggs’s experience and Rooney dropping back will solve our dip in form that will definitely happen with Ando, Cleverley being so Young.

  239. keano99 says:

Watching city it kill me to say it but they have the best squad in england lads our boys are gona have to dig deep this season or god forbid those fuckers have a great chance. RED ARMY

  240. slim says:

spurs look like they’re gonna get it

  241. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@keano99, First of all, Thanks for making me laugh.

Now, I would like you to explain how City’s squad of over-paid, over-rated mercenaries who are there only for the cash on offer is better than United’s squad of young, hungry, Mancunian lads plus a number of experienced heads who are here only for the pride of representing this club.

Seriously, I actually don’t get how people can say City have the best squad in England. I am not underestimating them at all, I think they do have a chance if United fuck things up, but it is simply a joke to say their squad is better than ours player for player.

  242. Mahesh says:

@Keano,Balaji: I think I half agree with both of you. I don’t know if Man City have the best squad in England, but on paper they have a very very good competitive squad. Where I have to agree with Balaji though is in wondering whether they are a team yet, and particularly whether they have the mental attributes to win titles -the titles is not just about having the best squad, it is also about having the know-how and the mental fortitude to fight through tough times, to nick points when you really didn’t deserve them, and to withstand the pressure of actually competing for the title. I think that only time will tell, City might just crumble at some point in the season…well, that is the hope at least! Its a loooong season boys and girls!

  243. markg says:

wayne- people were posting how good work drogba does with his foundation, I just said who cares what drogba does with his tax money. You should read all the posts not just a selected few

  244. Samuel - united WE stand says:

Cedars – my nerves are taking a battering lol, i’m buzzing for the game but also aware that arsenal are capable of the unexpected, they should be taking seriously but hopefully we’ll turn in a good performance, i’ll gladly take a scrappy win so i can relax again lol.

  245. MG says:

    Hayley McQueen  Georgie Bingham

    No competition at all!

But thanks for wanting her over my Hayley – much respect

  246. Costas says:

    @FITB

Maybe Ash Young or Nani. Zelh mentioned Park. Lets not forget about his good track record against the gooners. So we could see him start on one of the wings and one of the other two wingers roaming behind Rooney. We usually beat them with 4-5-1, lol.

  247. MG says:

    @mikekelly12

  248. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Mahesh, Fair point. My honest unbiased opinion is that City have a strong squad player for player even without counting the “team” aspect of it. However, it cannot hold a candle to the overall current United squad player for player. We are better not only with respect to individual players in each position, but in the “team” aspect as well.

As you said, it remains to be seen whether City can keep hold of their balls when the push comes to the shove. To be honest, in March, I would rather have City chasing us than Chelsea, because I know the latter is the only team that can go toe-to-toe with us. Not to mention I still don’t see a natural leader in that City side. Most of the team is made up of prima-donnas. In comparison, I see leaders all over the pitch for United. Heck, as we saw against Spurs, even the young lads have the leadership quality about them that more “experienced” players at City and Arsenal lack.

That is why I still maintain that if United don’t fuck things up, as in press the self-destruct button, then the title is ours to lose. If that makes me an arrogant and pompous dick, so be it, I couldn’t care less. In the words of FSW, that is FACT.

In other news, Friedel is a fucking rock. I have no idea how he is still so fucking good despite being 40. Amazing player really, should’ve played for more top sides and ended up with a higher trophy count. I count him and Given as two of the best GKs in the history of the league without ever playing for a top side.

  249. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Gareth Bale is Triffic, Look at him Fly…..£40M? That lads still worth the £10m Spurs paid for him IMO.

When I look at Brad Friedel, it reminds me VDS and how he could have continued
    I love You Edwin!
    & I miss you Edwin !
    I want you back

Waaaaaaaaaaaahh !!!! I want Scholes now too :( Throw in Neville 3 for 2 :( :twised:

  250. Samuel - united WE stand says:

3 Man midfield for today? park might start this game though, he is reserved for game like this.3 Man midfield for today? park might start this game though, he is reserved for game like this.

  251. slim says:

Gareth bale the super star. fuck me

  252. Balaji Sivaraman says:

And people compare Bale to Giggs. If that is true, then I am going to start comparing myself to Matt Damon from now onwards.

  253. MG says:

    Poor Papii

    The sugars got to him

Easy Papii or else you’ll be starting buy one get one free

Or maybe buy 1 get 2 free!

  254. Mahesh says:

Balaji: You don’t and cant have an ‘unbiased’ opinion mate!!!! :p I think another point to be kept in mind with City is over the season they will have to manage that bunch of overpaid prima-donnas, and that will be a huge test for them. I think the balance in our squad is just much better for squad harmony…

  255. MG says:

    Balaji: Matt Damon

  256. Mahesh says:

It becomes pretty clear why SAF never really went for Bale eh, as opposed to someone like Ramsey. If Spurs were smart, they should have take the 40 mil or so moneybags like City and Real would have offered for him last season, and run off happy to the bank…

  257. MG says:

city are the best team in the world

And no I didn’t say that

Summerbee did talkshit did the whole of Abu Dhabi did

  258. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

  259. wayne says:

@makq ok so your associating Drogba’s foundation with his taxs, didn’t make that clear before.

  260. Samuel - united WE stand says:

DISCLAIMER: THIS RESULT IS ONLY ACCEPTABLE TO ARRY IN FOOTBALL MANAGER 2011

The real result is the other way around

  263. Mahesh says:

And the fucker Nasri was involved as well…don’t care, well keep getting 3 points for the rest of the season, and the title is ours! :)

  264. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

MG – or the Infamous Buy Now Pay 12 Months Later.

Personally I prefer the Buy Now, Pay a Pound a Month Deal 8)….. If we could get Sneijder on that It, well that would be Triffic !

  272. Mahesh says:

    Fuck Shitty!

  273. Mahesh says:

Well, I think this is going to be like every other week – City win, and the ABU mob says City look great, only for us to play later and for the same mob to begrudginly admit that we look better!

  274. fergie is the boss says:

Costas – that is true, but when arsenal have sold fabrigas and nasri, while weilsheire is injured. So I do think the boss may go all out attack

  275. MG says:

    Papii

    Interest free then?

2-0 Spurs goal made by Ronalddo scored by Bale – another 80 million goes on top of that boy – what an asset he is

DISCLAIMER: I THINK YOU KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING

  276. slim says:

said it yesterday and i’m saying it again. the league is going to be shit this year

  277. Mahesh says:

Got to agree with FITB – I think SAF will go play an attacking 4-4-2 today, try and kill off Arsenal early and shut up anyone who’s going all gaga over City at this point..

  278. Doghouse says:

City don’t get any credit as a club for the team they have assembled, any twat can get a great team together with infinite money. But that said, the team they’ve bought does look a bit good.

  279. fergie is the boss says:

Balaji Sivaraman – when I think of matt damon I think of this LOL

    CL spot for Wolves

Liverpool contemplating accepting city deal for CL place

    Dalglish “High Five”

United not in Europe if season abandoned

  281. Gary says:

I think it’s fair to say City are United’s main title rivals this season and that’s not completely dismissing Chelsea but I think City have more of a stability about them than people would care to credit them for and adding with the likes of Ageuro, Nasri to go with the likes of Silva like it or not is a bloody impressive attack. Still of course they have never been in a title race and looking at their team not a lot of them (Toure and Tevez aside) are actually used to winning trophies. The true test will come when it comes to the crunch and we will truly see what they’re made of. On another note Spurs have been shite and Michael Dawson is a prime example of being overrated due to the power of his British passport if he was any other nationaility he wouldn’t be mentioned as a top centre back. The man turns slower than a oil tanker being driven by Rik Waller.

  283. Zibbie says:

Georgie Bingham has a sexy ass voice. She is smart with a sense of humor and has a great laugh. She would tear the sheets apart, in my mind. Talking it up the whole time. Hearing her voice when you find her special spot oooOOOOOOOHHHHHH ya.

  284. Costas says:

Oh I forgot. Happy Birthday Papii!

Some of us last week did mention that Spurs looked crap at OT. They are just retaining their form here. Lets make it 3 out of 3 ourselves.

    @Zibbie

Lol, nice. Now I am starving. :)

  285. Zibbie says:

    LOL fucking matt who?

  286. denton davey says:

Gary @ 14:22: ” I think City have more of a stability about them than people would care to credit them for”

ManShitty look like they’re being built with a plan in mind; the RentBoyz look like an assemblage of “I’ll have that !” purchases. For all their attacking talent, my view is that ManShitty are not so strong at the back – only Kompany is a real quality player; the others (Lescott, Zabayleta, Richards, Clichy/Kolarov etc) and journeyman-plus players. BUT they are well organized. They’re something more than just “noisy neighbours” now.

  287. Mikekelly12 says:

In the boozer now, a few blues getting giddy. Kaboul is shocking!!!!

  288. fergie is the boss says:

yea happy bday Papii is well

  289. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Thanks Zibbie

AC Milan haven’t really been in the game have they?
Arry Just said “”It was a triffic performance but it’s still all to play for. We’ve got to make sure we finish the job at home because we know they’re dangerous and can score. There’s a long way to go to get through this round, the 2nd leg is gonna be toe tickling affair”

Arry On Crouch’s “Goal” – “I would love to build a team around him. He’d be a big player. He’d had a couple of chances before that. He’s normally a clinical finisher, but he’s struck that one in trifficly he did”

Arry On Getting Laid this weekend with the help of Joe Jordan “I am hoping we still have a chance of getting him. The chairman is working on it and that’s all you can ask.”

  290. Gary says:

    @Denton davey

I have to agree with you that the defence is their weakest part of the squad. Not that they concede many but like you say Kompnay aside they’re all rather decent players not great ones. Gael Clichy adds to the squad but hardly a stellar left back and great loss for Arsenal, Nani absolutely roasted him Jan 2010. Can not wait for the first Manchester derby of the season on the 23rd of October.

  291. sir_ryan says:

Who will say De Gea is shit now? The lad is world class. Three wonderfull saves!!!

  292. Fred says:

I’m guessing parryheid. There’s still time to sign Craig Gordon before the transfer window closes!
