Chicharito: My Winning Goal Was Totally Random

Javier Hernandez came off the bench to score a 92nd minute winner for Mexico in a friendly against Bosnia.

“It was totally random,” he told Medio Tempo. “Everyone was joking right now in the dressing room. The most important thing was that we won 2-1 thanks to God. I’m happy. I’ve always said I’m 100 percent [fit] and available for the team. If the coach plays me for one minute or 90, I will do my best.”

Chicharito turned 24-years-old today and has scored an impressive 24 goals in 35 appearances for his country.

Random numbers posted at random on a random thread.

    … ho hum …

It’s better than drivel about us trying to land some random tandem for a handsome ransom.

Well done Chicharito, they all count!

  20. Fred says:

I’m guessing there was something unusual about the goal? Just off to find the clip, since Scott didn’t bother to post it…

    the video scott????

  29. #07 says:

    @phil jones’

Why you gotta insult the guy’s faith? If he believes God is helping him does that hurt you or damage your quality of life at all? Give over mate.

Glad to see him get back on the scoresheet. Injuries and tiredness got to him in the end last season and he seemed like he’d lost a bit of his confidence in the last couple of months of the season. Scoring will do him the world of good, boost his morale and get him feeling he’s got goals in him again before next season begins.

When was the last time you supported one of Scott’s sponsors by following their ad?
Have you ever clicked on an ad?

I hope so, as you don’t contribute in any other way to this fine forum of Reds.
Our gracious host is not at the beck and rude call of passers by.

Anyway, had you read the comments, you would have spotted the link that Fred posted three minutes after he realised that Scott had not linked the goal. He met his mild dismay with a simple search, and immediately returned to ADD to the blog.

  31. Albert Ross says:

    #07 – I’m with you.

It’s completely unnecessary to insult his faith, or any faith. Especially on RoM.

There are some who repeatedly attack a religion in this forum. It must stop.

  32. Phil Jones' Birdshit Streaks says:

I have my belief. My belief is there is no god. God didn’t score that goal. Chicharito did. Credit where credit is due. :)

  33. Albert Ross says:

    Phil Jones’ Birdshit Streaks

Well done. In your 1:04 you managed to get your point across without insulting any faith.
    A big improvement, thanks!

  34. Busby_Fergie says:

Oh come on, fighting over God?? Cut it please. If he believes in him let it be..he’s not forcing you guys to worship God. Some people just believe in God coz it gives them positive energy & thoughts.

  35. Albert Ross says:

    Busby_Fergie

    Well said.

Those who believe there is no god should refrain from forcing their belief on others.

    Stick to footy.

  36. ncyl says:

Definitely agre with #07, Albert Ross, and Busby_Fergie.

Now on topic. Good for Chicha, hopefuly his goals with his national team will bring better energy and confidence for him to start his 3rd season at United. Best of luck, Chicha!
