Tahith Chong has been named the Reserve Team Player of the Year, following in the footsteps of Demetri Mitchell who won the award last season and has spent this year out on loan with Hearts.
The youngster was praised by Nicky Butt this week and has earned a few opportunities with the first team thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He even got his first chant seconds in to making his debut! (“One Chong! We’ve only got one Chong!”)
Chong has claimed he will continue to work hard to get more opportunities.
It’s been a good season. Obviously I couldn’t have done it without my team mates, the coaching staff, the physios, everyone just helping to make it a good season for me.
I’m just working on every training session, trying to get the most out of them and like I said, the team mates make the training sessions good, so I can’t thank them enough.
I’m going to just enjoy the moment and work hard in training and when I get my chance, try and grab it. The most important thing is keep working hard.
