COMPETITION: RvP #16 Holland shirt

Robin Van Persie could play in a more withdrawn role for Holland against Portugal in Kharkiv

RoM has a Holland shirt with “Van Persie 16″ on the back to give away. Van Persie is currently the captain of his country and is the third top scorer. It is likely that he will become the all-time top scorer over the next year, with him just needing five goals to equal Patrick Kluivert’s record of 40 goals.

    Brilliant capture by SAF.

If u think about it, among so many players that Fergie had bought during his time, the great capture was started with buying Eric Cantona from leeds. Because if he didn’t buy Cantona, I guess the history would have been written differently. The last great capture was RVP. It started and ended with striker, and Fergie was a striker as well.

Moyes was a defender, let’s see who’s he gonna be his first great buying.

There’s just something about dutch strikers. RVP is one if not the best striker in world football right now and Van nistelrooy is the best striker Ive ever seen in my opinion. he was 30+ goals every season and his champions league record is amazing.

  3. FletchTHEMAN says:

Agreed about Ruud being the best striker since 2000. Loved watching him play. Hope Robin aspires to that level of steely eyed greed in front of goal!

Sparky Hughes made keepers p*ss their pants as well!

  4. Norman-85 says:

Dutch strikers are amazing – agree on RVP and Ruud being absolutely fantastic, and you also have Kluivert, Bergkamp, Cruyff, Gullit, Resenbrink, but for me, the best of them all was Marco van Basten. I was lucky enough to see him playing @ OT in a friendly (1988) and although it was the end of the season it was amazing to see him play.

    @ Norman

Yeah i have to say van basten was brilliant but to be fair that whole AC Milan team were brilliant at that time.

Ozil rumour, just dont get it.RM offered him for 40m according to the fail.

  7. NBI Red Moyesy says:

RM desperate to finance bale and pay ronnie.

Moyes haven’t signed anyone yet, Varela was signed at the tail end of last season after impressing in trials. In all likelihood its Sir Alex who gave the go ahead.

On Dutch strikers, yes Rvp will go down as the all time scorer for Holland sooner rather than later, but I still rate Ruud higher. He is not as spectacular as Rvp, but give him a chance inside the penalty box he will score you a goal. His record with us is amazing, and you have to remember he still scored goals plenty during the days of Djemba, Miller & Chadwick in the team

Already been discussed but i dont feel its likely? But perhaps because of Bale! Ozil would be great and he would start every game without doubt!

Either United are desperate or the rags are linking United to alot of midfield players at alot of top clubs. I can see United overpaying because they have left the transfer business so late in the window. I guess the latter happens every transfer window. But this time United seemed to be linked to a ridiculous number of players.
Also publically courting players like Fabregas contracted to other clubs is a poor way of doing business. Makes United look amatuerish when it doesn’t come off. I much preferred the way SAF and Gill did business. On the quiet mostly.
I get the feeling Moyes isn’t going to sign anybody and I’m fine with that.

Yes, Moyes has not signed any players practically. It is kind of interesting to see who is he going to bring, what kind of player and which player that he bring can make impact to United and become a legend.

a great interview from Moyes. One line I think many of us should take on a note. When Moyes tells that he only started in 1 of July and he should look his players first and then consider the market. ANd how he has watched the market, but it’s not the same when you don’t know your current players, so you can’t throw yourself straight into the transfers-window.

NExt season he will have time to watch and scout more players with the United budget and therefore he will have the time to follow more players and buold the future easily and install his football philosophy into our squad. So can’t blame him for not being fast on the transfer market.

Don’t forget that we will have another transfers window on January. I guess Moyes can be a bit relax this round and plan for January window. A lot of possibility will happen after 6 months of competition (I am talking about Fabregas :D ). Well, in fantasy football, I hope we can sign Fellaini now and Fab in January. :)

    Can ozil play holding mf???

  15. WeAreUnited says:

    @redrobin

exaclty, I think considering the circumstances, if he gets someone it’s a good addition. He will build his squad, he just needs that time. So lets give him. Everyone hates when managers goes to other teams and buys players with a lot of money and when our new manager comes in we are not happy cause he’s not getting anyone.

but the mainpoint is, we need that 1-2 midfielder to give us depth. That being said. can’t wait to see who comes in.
