COMPETITION: Win Manchester United Greatest XI DVD

We are spoiling you with competitions on RoM at the moment and the latest is a unique, fan-driven project, Manchester United: Greatest Ever XI, which sets out to select a definitive team of the greatest players ever to pull on the famous red shirt. A worldwide fan poll was held on the official site, giving fans the chance to vote for their Greatest Ever XI and decide the line-up that will be featured in this official club DVD collection. Across 4 DVDs and more than over 130 players, fans make the case for their picks and relive memories of mighty performances on the pitch highlighting the club’s most memorable players.

We have three copies of the DVD to give away, which is available from any decent online DVD retailer from Monday. Simply leave your United greatest ever XI in the comments section below to enter.

  1. compingstar says:

    George Best

  2. JonathaNZ says:

I’m afraid I’m going to restrict myself to players I’ve seen play:

    G Neville, Bruce, Pallister, Irwin
    Ronaldo, Keane, Scholes, Giggs
    Cantona, Van Nistelrooy

Apologies to Vidic, as I’ve gone for a partnership approach in central defence. And I’d have loved to pick Kanchelskis, but I’ll never forgive him for leaving a few months after I bought a #14 shirt.

  3. John says:

As I’m to young to have acctually seen the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, Duncan Edwards, Dennis Law etc… I’m gonna have to pick a fairly modern era team. (with some exceptions)
    Peter Schmeichel
Gary Neville – Vidic – Jaap Stam – Patrice Evra
George Best – Roy Keane – Paul Scholes – Ryan Giggs
    Eric Cantona – C.Ronaldo

  4. Andooo says:

Saw this quite late but didnt want to miss the chance to win, my team is as follows..

    Van Der Sar
    Stam – Rio – Bruce
    Beckham – Robson – Scholes – Giggs
    Ronaldo – Cantona – Best

Went for 3 – 4 – 3 as no full back really stands out as great for me but we have had a fair few quality centre backs. Not included any golden oldies as not old enough to of seen them play but youtube and media onslaught has made me realise what we had in George Best.
