I hear pele saying rooney isn’t ‘too technical’, what a load of crap as i think that’s exactly what rooney is famed for, he is not the dribbling type of course but his technical ability can’t be questioned.
His pin point accurate passing, vision, first touch, intelligence on and off the ball and goal scoring of all types are of the highest standards (watch his best goals), he racks up assists every season and plays for team, rooney can play anywhere on the pitch and still be effective and efficient, how many players can do this? only a rare few, rooney’s technique is up there and i wonder if he wasn’t english then perhaps he may have achieved more.

As for Ronaldo, i’m not too bothered by his persona. I actually think he was our best attacking weapon (and still is in world football imo) since Best.
