Go on Cedars, get you in there mate! :) There’s only one Robbo!

  2. brett1985 says:

    Nice.

This being in start contrast to Betfair’s initiative for united fans to bin club shirts in front of the tabloid media on derby day. Curious as to what peoples thoughts are.

  3. WillieRedNut says:

Seriously though…..let Cedars win this one. ;)

  4. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ brett1985 – for my thoughts if you’re interested see the Evans thread. If it saves fans £40 to buy a new home shirt all for it. Thankfully don’t get players names on the back of shirts especially one we had signed on loan. Mate is trading his in on Sunday and I can’t say that I blame him.

  5. wiuru says:

Whats this book face thingy ?

  6. CedarsDevil says:

Robbo shirts up for sale? The world’s end must be near…..

Can one really put a price on a shirt worn by our greatest? Marketing joke if you ask me

Willie – Cheers for the mention my good friend… I did jump when I saw the thread mind you!

  7. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    My Team would be;

    DDG, Smalling,Rio,Vida,Evra,Nani,Fletch,Ando,Young,Welbeck, Rooney
    Subs; Clevs,Chico & Carrick to come on. 3C’s 8)

    Shitty will most likely play;
    Hart,Richards,Kompany, Lescott,Clichy,De Jong,Toure,Silva,Nasri,Balotelli,Aguero
Subs; Milner might get the nod ahead of Naseri, if they play for the draw they’ll start one striker and put Mario on the wings for Nasri & Silva to go central to jam pack the middle to stay top of table.

The Silva & Aguero partnership worry me because they;ll go toe to toe with a out of position Evra and rash last ditch Vida tackle. Carrick or Fletcher have to be on stunning form and Ando has to light up our middle because in this match if the middle doesn’t show up we will crumble.

The Return of Rio + Vida are a huge boost :D Welbeck to score

  8. WillieRedNut says:

Papii – I picked the same team, but Jones for Smalling. ;)

  9. Jeet says:

@Clint: My favored lineup would be pretty much the same except that I dont like the Fletch-Ando combo in the middle. Much rather prefer Carrick-Ando, and if Cleverly is available, I would rather that we start him and then bring on Carrick after 60 min. Also interesting to see if they start Adam Johnson. That boy can play, and for that reason I would rather have Smalling instead of Jones at RB. In any case, Nani can singlehandedly own the attack on that side of the field, or so I hope.

  10. Jeet says:

…though something telles me that fergie might go 4-5-1 with Jones in MF…
…and by the way, is the snoody cunt injured, or is he available?

  11. Bishopville Red says:

    ROBBO! GET IN!

    SB

  12. Bishopville Red says:

I get the feeling Fergie will play one of his famously cautious “not to lose” line-ups. Expect to see something more like we saw at Liverpool – conservative, vs a “go for the throat” approach.

Funny how I hear that it took a “wonder strike” from Rooney to best the bitters last year. It was more a case of them getting a fluke off Dzeko’s arse end to give them half a chance of sneaking a point. We absolutely slated them! Men vs. boys, as Patty Evra would say.

    SB

  13. kanchelskis says:

    Bishopville Red

I’d like to think Fergie will open up for this one and play expansively. We did it against Chelsea and it worked a treat (albeit we got a bit lucky). City’s defence (Kompany aside) is there to be got at, especially down their left. It’s early in the season, and losing – although not ideal – would not be disastrous. Plenty more games to come, and lots of difficult games for City that we’ve already got out of the way.

    C’mon Fergie… put on a show.

  14. WillieRedNut says:

I think we’ll go with 4411. Rooney just off Welbeck. Silva is the main danger for them. Control him, and we’ll win. Fletch has to play imo.

  15. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Willie – The singer?

Jeet: I see where your coming from but with Carrick Playing deep & Ando most likely to be anonymous for parts of the game, we;ll be empty in the middle with only Rooney supporting the midfield. I much prefer Fletch to be Chasing and rushing the likes of Silva, Toure, De Jong etc. Carrick would be excellent at closing down space and making interceptions to add calm to our game which maybe crucial in the last 35 mins when the game will be more nail biting. Shitty don’t appreciate Johnson’s potential, their loss ! The ando-fletch duo is better than Carrick-Ando which is overly relaxed (Arsenal 1-0). I reckon Our best Midfield is (Carrick/Clevs, Giggs, Ando ).

I hope Clevs is fit, I know everyone on RoM is hoping for Jonesy to play Defensive Mid. :D

  16. kanchelskis says:

    @Clint

Personally I wouldn’t back Jones for this one. He was OK at Anfield, but they’ve got nobody of Silva’s ability to cause problems between the lines. Rodwell showed that a tight man-marking game on Silva can work. They eventually broke Everton down, but Rodwell had really restricted him until that point.

I suppose it depends whether we want someone to cover the space in which he is most damaging (i.e. Carrick) or someone to track him man-for-man, Rodwell-style (i.e. Fletcher).

  17. james says:

Should be a good derby. Im a little worried about Aguero but other than that I think we’ll be more of a danger attacking. I can see Balotelli getting a reddy you know.

    * places ten pounds on Balotelli to get a red card

    * wanks furiously to gay porn

  18. Jeet says:

@Bishopville Red: Bang on, mate. Funny how everybody goes on and on, and I mean seriously ooooon and on, about Roo’s shinpads and nobody gives a pig’s fart about Dzeko’s arse. Leads me to conclude that Rooney’s shin pads owned aforementioned arse that day :)

@Willie: Cut off Silva, you cut off Aguero, and Dzeko though. And even though Silva is a great player, he’s no Xaviesta. I hope the snoody cunt doesn’t turn up though.

  19. Gerriered says:

Hiya REDS, hopefully one of our lads turns up with a charged Captain Marvel performance and inspires us to victory over sHITTY. Come on UTD………

  20. Jeet says:

Fuck the derby, will everybody wish me luck for my match tomorrow morning, pls! Going to play against a bunch of college kids who I’ve heard are damn good and unlike me, havent been boozing/smoking/sitting on a chair for the best part of the last 12 years! It’s my hardman instincts against their agility and speed. I swear there will be blood!

  21. mikekelly12 says:

    I want that shirt!!!!!!!

Off topic….got my Stone Roses tickets this morning!!!!!! Saturday 30th…get in!!!

  22. Jeet says:

@Clint: See what you mean – it’s a question of style. If you are super confident, you play zonal and hence Carrick, else if you want to harry the fucker, it’s Fletch. Mind you, If Fletch had been on peak form, it would have been a nobrainer

  23. WillieRedNut says:

Jeet – Cut off his head? A tad extreme mate. ;)

  24. Jeet says:

Ok, you win – his balls then

PS: Has anyone figured out by now that I can do only 2 smileys? :)

  25. Dela says:

    On Berbatov…

His agent: “We have to accept the reality of the situation – make us an offer and we will accept, or if not, we’ll go. Have patience though, knowing the quality of Berbatov, I’m not worried about him if we have to find another club.”

I personally think he’s entitled to give United a kick on the contract issue. If he’s willing to stick around, I think we’d be stupid to sell him at cut price to anyone. The least they could do is just tell him now where he stands, kinda late in his career to be sitting on his hands.

  26. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Playing man for man is really out of fashion, was pretty suprised when SAF did it last week to avoid defeat.

If you go man for man, i& one of our lads is beaten then its all gone tits up, because a guy like Silva will have all the time in the world to pick apart the side. Movement, Postioning, calm & Discipline are required against top players which we have lacked against weaker sides. We’ve Turned over Chelsea,Arsenal, Spurs & Held off Liverpool. If we perform like we did in the first 3 (big un’s) and add 25% more effiency, we can break Shitty.

It will be a tough derby, could be a draw, can’t imagine a loss at Home, Young needs to trick that cow of a player Richards to come out and create space, Giggs is an expert of this on the wings even at 37. Nani will destroy their weak left side, Rooney+Danny will give them a hard time. Our Midfield as usual is the main worry.

We need an injection of freshness in our midfield, a signing is needed, anything will do, anything better than Ando at Defending. Lets Buy Neymar  Fifa manager 12 here I come

  27. philco says:

    @mikekelly
Nice one . I wasted an hr with two phones and two laptops. Gutted.

As for Sunday I feel fletcher and Carrick got to start. Ando is just to apt to go missing. Obviously if clevs is fit he starts for fletch.

  28. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@mikekelly Nice one pal, got mine for the Sunday websites were a bastard. 14 minute sellout unbelievable

  29. WillieRedNut says:

I’m expecting a big game from Young. He hasn’t been his fluent self last few games. Nani took city to the cleaners at Wembley. Our wingers will be key to unlocking City’s defense. Hopefully Rooney will be up for it. Too much to ask for another over head kick winner? ;)

  30. kanchelskis says:

    @WillieRedNut

Yeh, I’d like to see the Young that tore Arsenal a new one at OT. Hope he gets it inside on his right a lot – I’m sure he can cause Richards problems that way.

  31. wayne says:

morning Willie to be fair last few games whole team has been off, wondering if Youngs dip in form has something to do with the change in tatics

  32. parryheid says:

We have the best right back by a country mile,he’s fit and should have played last week and defo should be playing this week.

  33. kanchelskis says:

    @parryheid

You talking about Fabio? He didn’t look great against Galati, did he?

  34. Jeet says:

Parry: Curious to know who you are talking about?

  35. Fred says:

Yeah, who are you on about?

  36. Jeet says:

That’s the best thing about parryheid – he’ll make these supercyptic comments (sometimes in response to one that was posted like 200 comments back) and then you are left trying to hunt for clues and solve the puzzle, all the while waiting eagerly for him to come back and explain :)
Meant in a friendly way, parry my man, no offence meant! Love all the little eccentricities out here :)

  37. Jeet says:

…the Mancunian Man of Mystery

  38. jim says:

i think he is talking about rafael, who is back in training.

  39. parryheid says:

    kanchelskis.

    wrong first name.

  40. Jeet says:

Dont know if Rafael is ready yet for a derby without any reserve game time, but if he is – I agree. By far the best. Plays somewhat like a cross between a tiger and a bull terrier, with the pace of a Maseratti.

  41. Fred says:

    It’s Rafael! :D

  42. Jeet says:

Nighty night lads – off home. Red dreams, enjoy the friday parties if you still got a life, and send a prayer to Busby for a thumping worthy of our captain’s birthday. Kisses!

  43. kanchelskis says:

    @parryheid

Rafael? Wasn’t fit last week and isn’t fit this week mate!

  44. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Who’s that Parry?
    ——————————

Dunno why, but this week my problem footballing wise has been our Midfield. Man for man, I’ve felt even the likes of Arsenal,Shitty,Bayern, Real, Barca b team Ac milan have more talent in their midfield than us.

Maybe its all the european football this week that has made me envious of other teams midfielders and who they have purchased in the centre to strengthen, yet United with this satisfactory midfield, we have chickened out of taking a risk and investing in a star or unknown midfielder who is ready for the big time.

Ando and Clevs are the only shining lights, we need more to get us excited.
Basically Im bored and im demanding a new face

Its my day off, Im seriously bored. I want Ganso, Hernanes, Hamsik, Sneijder, Javi Martinez, Bannan, Ben Watson, James McCarthey of wigan….something anything, I feel like a kid

  45. Fred says:

I wouldn’t say no to Rafael playing, but I think Smalling is ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment.

Any excuse to post this though: http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2010/1110/soc_g_tevez12_576.jpg 8)

  46. WillieRedNut says:

    I don’t think he knows…..

  47. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

We have the best Midfielder back by a country mile,he’s fit and should have played last week and defo should be playing this week.

    It works Muahahahahahahaha 8)

  48. WillieRedNut says:

    Rafael won’t play Sunday.

  49. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

We have the best midfielder by a country mile,he’s fit and should have played last week and defo should be playing this week.

Damn it fucking typos ! Guess who Im talking ?
Don’t play games Parry  tell us what you know !
Is Phil Bardsley returning to Utd as part of an add on to bring Craig Gordon in to displace Lindy or Deivid de Donut?

  50. Fred says:

    Welcome back Gibbo! :D

  51. Fred says:

    LOL Papii

  52. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

*Guess who im talkigng about *

For Fucks Sake Cedars where that bloody nurse of yours !
These typo’s are pissing me ooooffffff

  53. parryheid says:

    kanchelskis.

Raphael went back into full time training last week which means he has been in part time training prior to that which in turn means he is fit and ready to play.
    Clint-iamyourpapil.

Who knows but for sure it isn’t that waste of space Anderson which you can gather I don’t think too highly of

  54. kanchelskis says:

    @parryheid

Resuming training doesn’t mean you’re suddenly ready to start a game as big as this. The length of time he’s been out, he needs reserve appearances and/or sub appearances before he even thinks about starting.

  55. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Fred – Spot on pal, Gibbo ! Gibbo ! Gibbo !

Hibson on his return to training was wearing a DHL shirt saying ” I deliver precisely when I mean to” .
Shown on MUTV at Lunchtime in an exclusive interview regarding his failed transfer move to Sunderland, Gibson said,
“Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in. ” The enigmatic Gibson refused to be drawn on repeated speculation linking him with a loan move to Barca after a bid was rejected back in 2009 saying “Barca was interested, they made a bid considered derisory, So the club rejected it and I was happy to stay at Manchester United, in the future a move to Barca, Only God Knows”

Welly Welly Well, a welcomed return ;)

  56. WillieRedNut says:

True^ Smalling, or Jones will fill the RB position.

  57. parryheid says:

    Clint-iayourpapil.

Is this more of your insightfull sets of questions you like to ask yet have difficulty answering counter questions ? If you’ve something meaningfull to say then do so otherwise just stick your thumb in your stupid mouth.Oh and I’d appreciate a non response.

  58. Fred says:

    Keep it civil, Parryheid.

  59. kanchelskis says:

    @WillieRedNut

    Smalling, to be specific.

  60. wayne says:

morning parry your normal cheerful self, haven’t you had a chance to beat an animal to death with a stick yet mate?,might put you in a better frame of mind.

  61. WillieRedNut says:

Kanchelskis – I went for Jones, but not too fussed if it’s Smalling. The latter does look better at CH. I even wouldn’t mind Smalling partnering Vida at CH, and Jones at RB? I think Fergie will go with the tried and tested Rio and Vidic partnership.

  62. kanchelskis says:

    @wayne

Leave it. Parry’s just having an eppy cos his attempt to be leftfield and controversial – by saying Rafael should have played last week and should play on Sun – has been exposed as rather silly.

  63. kanchelskis says:

    @WillieRedNut

I agree that he’ll go with the classic CH pairing. But I think Smalling’s height will be important for City’s set pieces, plus he looks that bit more stable at RB than Jones, whose positioning is still questionable at times.

  64. wayne says:

@kanchelskis hi mate, one of parrys pastimes is pig hunting in the highlands,i guess once one is found the pig gets beaten to death with clubs.Parry was telling us about it on a thread way back.

  65. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Wow Parry looks like I’ve got to you, calling me stupid, Im slightly amused, more by this, than your hilarious views on De Gea, or is it the mention of Gordon or is it my ignorance of your Ando criticism that has led to that response from you. Are these enough questions for you?

I would stick my thumb in my stupid mouth but I have mastered the art of typing with one hand, perhaps I should shove it down my pants, take a tug or two to relax and then enjoy some light hearted banter. Wait, its not me thats offended, so Need for that, but just in case I have insulted you in some way, I will remain civil & ask another question, You ok there pal? Not enough scooby snacks in the bowl tonight, bitch.

  66. parryheid says:

    Wayne.

It was Haggis hunting, and boy did you walk right into that one I can still hear the snap of your teeth biting.

  67. wayne says:

Oh i see parry are you saying i shouldn’t believe everything you tell me.Tch Tch Parry now i see you in a different light.Probably some Jamaican kicking back on the beach smoking a fattie

  68. wayne says:

come to think of it wish i was a Jamaican kicking back on a beach smoking a fattie

  69. Zibbie says:

Wayne thanks for that visual, from Dun River Falls to to the Blue Mountains.

  70. parryheid says:

    Wayne.

Nah man what I’m saying is because you don’t actually pay attention to what is said (maybe because popularity is your bag) you appear to be gullible at times.not a slight on you but you may take it to be.

    kanchelskis’

    not an eppy try Bene.

  71. wayne says:

parry don’t consider myself popular mate, never tried just say my thing, took the pig hunting with a pinch of salt just thought it was the right time to use it.
Zibbie winter is getting close up here matter, happy thoughts and lots of pot.

  72. Zibbie says:

  73. wayne says:

Deer are smarter than they look hunting season don’t see as many lol

  74. CedarsDevil says:

wayne – Pissed my self reading your posts and that is an understatement!

  75. parryheid says:

    Wayne.

Could be some of the characters on here get me touchy, most are pretty genuine some less so a few pretty devious.Yourself I class one of the good guys,so excuse my odd temper tantrum.

  76. phine666 says:

    It’s Friday… I so want that shirt!

  77. phine666 says:

Glory Glory Manutd as the Reds go marchin’ on on on!

  78. Mannings says:
