Following a disappointing opening day defeat against Crystal Palace, Manchester United take on Brighton this afternoon with the hope of redeeming themselves.

Surprisingly, despite talking up Eric Bailly this week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stuck with Victor Lindelof in the starting XI, despite his horror show of a performance against Palace. Donny Van de Beek is yet to make his first Premier League start, with Nemanja Matic being preferred in midfield, after Scott McTominay is benched.

What is noticeable is the lack of attacking options as substitutes. If United don’t dip in to the transfer market, an injury to one of our front three this season will leave us in big trouble.

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial.
Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Fosu-Mensah, Fred, Lingard, McTominay, Van de Beek.

Brighton: Ryan, Lamptey, White, Dunk, Webster, March, Trossard, Lallana, Alzate, Connolly, Maupay.
