  1. Costas says:

The focus is obviously on Satuday. Hopefully this team will give a good account of itself.

  2. Udyat says:

Powell should have been given a chance

  3. orez says:

Other then the young CD-s it’s a really good lineup. Can we get subs please.

  4. RedMist says:

    What’s happened to Powell?
    First team games, Fergie said.
The lads got class, would have thought this was a perfect game for him.
Fully expect Nani to underwelm again.

  5. wayne says:

Come om lads do these cunts

  6. everydayislikesunday says:

    Chelsea are screwed!

They have only registered an official compaint of ‘inapporpriate language’ against Mikel, no claim of racist language, and no claim of abuse to Mata at all. Which basically means Clattenberg told Mikel to ‘shup up.’ Ref union are furious and off the back of the Terry fiasco this looks like a club clueless of its responsibilities, who malign referees as a matter of practice when it doesn’t go their way.

    This could be so good. . . . . . .

  7. Proverb says:

Chelsea playing their best team wTF

  8. kungfoocantona says:

i agree costas im not really bothered about this game to be honest, fergie did the right thing in protecting players for sat…but its good for the likes of fletch and buttoner plus welbz and chico to get starts…..bit of a dodgy centre back pairing but who knows hopefully it works out…i can see us snatching this and id piss myself if they got another man sent off.

  9. ididnotzeeit says:

Fletcher and Anderson midfield? Love it!

Come on lads, 2 wins on the trot vs The Rent Boyz would make for a fookin splendid Halloween!

  10. Nigerian Red says:

Why not Powell for Giggs? I hope Rafael does not burn out

  11. Mahesh says:

Chelsea look desperate to not lose two on the trot.

Surprised no Joshua King more than anything else!

  12. AJ says:

Guys…anyone have the live streaming link ?? :-(

  13. Descartes says:

I’m real surprised that Joshua King is not even on the bench, why? give the boy a chance Sir.

  14. Colbert says:

    We’ll get slaughtered.

  15. Zemmamma777 says:

This would actually be three on the trot they’d lose, providing we win, taking into account the game against Shaktar! :D Little worried about Giggsy starting, but hoping some of these players who need to prove a point have a game! Would’ve liked to see Powell start, but in Fergie we trust!

  16. Dela says:

Not too bothered about the result of this game tonight! For those wondering why Powell isnt in the starting line-up, its cause Fergie is testing out Ando and giving Fletcher some time. He’ll come on later.

  17. wayne says:

I’m always bothered never want Utd to lose,Colbert fuck off

  18. saturn says:

You will get a link to the game in there AJ

  19. Theredarmy says:

Chelsea are really in for the revenge.. Well the sweeter the success! GGMU

  20. Unitedfanatic says:

Ah, I almost got it right this time :) Powell and Vermijl shouda been given starts.. looks like Giggsy is going to snatch time off our youngsters :-P
But Rafael is our only dependable right back at the moment, wouldn’t have risked him today, would have liked to see him rested well for Arsenal. Smalling and Jones still some way off..

  21. Unitedfanatic says:

Wow, our away support looks like they are on steroids! Loving the vocal support, chelsea supporters napping as usual..

  22. AntiScouser says:

    Ando, you beauty.

  23. saturn says:

    Giggs you beauty.

  24. Costas says:

Brilliant awareness from Ando. And clinical Giggsy. 8)

  25. Unitedfanatic says:

Giggsy HAD to shame his critics yet again.. One beauty of a finish, that.

  26. AntiScouser says:

Ando bossing the game, the away end’s on fire, Giggsy tears them apart again, sheer bliss.

  27. Redbilly says:

Sounds like the fans are on fire. Well done Ryan.

  28. Unitedfanatic says:

And the chelski supporters already setting this game up to be another case of them vs 12 men. They just love pressuring the referee and then shed tears after he fucks up, don’t they.. He’s done well upto now, IMHO.. Chelsea players, on the other side, seem to have a thing for following up their bad tackles with theatrics of innocence..

  29. orez says:

The easiest penalty I have ever seen. That was absolutely stupid.

  30. Redbilly says:

Shame but never mind . Come on united

  31. Unitedfanatic says:

    “30 min PENALTY TO CHELSEA!
A nice easy one for Lee Mason, Buttner blatantly trips Moses as he makes his way into the box from the right-hand side. Finally Chelsea have a big decision that’s gone their way. ”

How thick can these commentators get???? When was the last time Chelsea had a BIG decision go their way? Wait, that horrible boots-up kick by Torres on Clev..

  32. Proverb says:

Good to see Büttner ripping his own tooth out as self punishment http://pic.twitter.com/C5sENiw1

  33. Costas says:

It’s still a learning process for Buttner. At least the young CB’s are looking very solid.

  34. Costas says:

    Chicha again!

  35. Unitedfanatic says:

    Hahahahahahahah..
They just can t get rid of Chicoooooooooooooooooooo!!!

  36. Channy says:

Chicarito just scored! And of course sodding 5Live had to make a comment about the goal being onside. Typical ABU media bastards. Come on lads!

  37. James7t7 says:

Surely that ends the chicco > welbeck debate for all! Little pea.. Little pea..

  38. AntiScouser says:

What a goal, glad this boy’s on our side.

  39. Costas says:

David Luiz United’s best player again. Is it any wonder Hernandez already has 6 goals against this lot?

  40. Marq says:

Our dear Hernandez is officially back. What a clinical finish. Give him a wiff of a chance he will take it. And onside for that matter, haha

  41. Redbilly says:

Fantastic Chico. He loves the Chelsea net.

  42. AntiScouser says:

Well played, there’s discipline, structure and flair. This is how we should play most games. Terrific.

  43. Proverb says:

Chicha’s first touch absolutely mouth watering
That first touch made that goal

  44. evisu says:

Hernandez never left, just stubborn SAF wasting his place with Wellbeck..

  45. pablo says:

    alan smiths a prick……..the arsenal one………….

  46. Unitedfanatic says:

Oh bring on the Welbeck bashers. Nonsensical stuff, I can’t see why it’s so difficult to understand that Chico and Welbz can both be good.. It’s not necessary for one to be great and the other to be poor..

  47. Marq says:

Apart from that penalty, and the chance Sturridge couldn’t control early in the game. Chelsea didn’t offer any threat at all.

Nani has got to try and run at Mikel & Romeu more. He almost seems relunctant to have the ball.

  48. Andromeda says:

Its official now little pea is our Chelsea specialist!now for the killer…

  49. Unitedfanatic says:

Chico and Welbeck add their own qualities to our attack and depending on how we use it, we get the results! Enough of Welb > Chico and Chico > Welb..
    Rant over.

  50. Unitedfanatic says:

@Marq: Totally agree. Those two and the one where Moses fucked it up by slipping and handling the ball. Moses vs Buttner is turning out to be an interesting battle.

  51. Costas says:

Welbeck has been prefered to Hernandez this season mainly because he plays on the left. And I use the word plays loosely. But it’s the main reason why Welbeck has started more often than Javier. I like them both personally. Different strikers, both useful to the team.

  52. AntiScouser says:

The best thing about tonight is Chico. He even managed to transubstantiate and score for Swanse against the scousers.

  53. Andromeda says:

Nani has still got everything we need.the lad should concentrate on the level of his game…Ando and Fletcher are looking great tonight.

  54. Sushi says:

How proper would it be if sweansea go and win this to prove their success had nothing to do with Rodgers and put l’pool in their place

  55. Marq says:

On current form I can see Hernandez starting beside Rvp, with Rooney roaming in midfield in games to come

  56. Unitedfanatic says:

    Powell coming on!!!!

  57. Marq says:

    Surprise change!

    Powell on

  58. Costas says:

    Chin up Buttner!

  59. Unitedfanatic says:

Now THAT’S what I’m talking about!! Nick Powell FTW!!

  60. Marq says:

How sure are we that, that isn’t Fabio wearing Rafael’s shirt at LB, haha

  61. Unitedfanatic says:

For Fuck sake Nani!! Welbz is on OUR side!!

  62. Unitedfanatic says:

Aww fuck that. Why is it that marking against headers is so fucking difficult for United lads…

  63. Costas says:

Defensive set pieces are our kryptonite.

  64. Unitedfanatic says:

    Nani! You beauty!!!!

  65. Costas says:

    That’s Nani for you.

  66. Joffrey Baratheon says:

What a fucking goal by Nani! Absolutely fantastic!

  67. Channy says:

    Nannniiiiiiiiiii!!!!! What a goal.

  68. Andromeda says:

Oh my goodness Nani, thats what I was talking about…no one in united has this kinda talent except super Nani.

  69. Proverb says:

    Sign him up ferguson

  70. AntiScouser says:

Ah, what a game, what a game. This is United’s best stuff.

  71. rat1p says:

hope we don’t lose Almeida da Cunha, such a brilliant player on his day

  72. Marq says:

Nani, infuriating one moment, crazily sublime the next

  73. Costas says:

    3 assist for Anderson

  74. Marq says:

Now this Chelsea side is more or less the team we played last weekend. Yet with Giggs, Powell & Anderson in midfield we are not getting out played like that day. Perhaps its the more relaxed mentality of this insignificant cup?

  75. Hans says:

Can somebody tell Rafael he is a left back now!

  76. Redbilly says:

Well great performance from the lads up to yet.

  77. matt says:

how the fuck was that offside

  78. Hans says:

Win or loose, our fans have done us proud tonight!!!!!!

  79. pablo says:

    like i said alan smiths a prick…………..

  80. Marq says:

Chelsea unfortunate not to get a penalty? The hell Luiz got away with the same thing last game! Bullocks ABU media

  81. Hans says:

Is Wellbeck ever going to learn to run with the ball?

  82. edhardy says:

No matter what happens I’m so proud of the boys!!! What an impressive performance!!

  83. lawman10 says:

    Great show from the lads

  84. bbqbod says:

fuck me this is a fantastic game of foota!!

  85. Marq says:

Chelsea bringing on Oscar, Ramires & Hazard

United bringing on Powell & Tunni

    See the difference in policy?

  86. Hans says:

Come on lads, concentrate for 5 more minutes!!!

  87. LoneStarRed says:

    UNBELIEVEABLE

  88. Costas says:

Damn, poor Scott’s inexperienced showing at the very last second.

  89. James7t7 says:

Dont care how inexperienced you are.. That was silly

  90. youCANTbuyTHISfeeling says:

Cant fault the kid, he’ll learn. but Hernandez had no business being offside

  91. LoneStarRed says:

    We’ve botched it!!!

  92. Unitedfanatic says:

What fucking disgrace.. Extra time unnecessary.

  93. rat1p says:

“Cant fault the kid, he’ll learn”
yes u can that was plain stupid sorry

  94. LoneStarRed says:

Well back to it lads !!!

  95. matt says:

for those wondering why SAF doesn’t play the younger boys in the league, CL etc.. this is why

  96. orez says:

This is fucking garbage. We had it coming though, it was there for everyone to see, we almost got lucky, but it wasn’t going to happen. The guys had a good game though, but the inexperience in defense made s pay. Can’t argue with any of the penalties TBH.

  97. WeAreUnited says:

    @matt

    exactly

  98. AlphaRS says:

That was just stupid. Why not just play keep ball for the last minute.

  99. Marq says:

    Oh well…

I actually look at Nani for dribbling into a crowd losing the ball instead of passing out to Hernandez out wide that started Chelsea’s ladt sequence of attacks.

Nvm, hope this will tire down Chelsea for their werkend game.

On a side note. Hazard & Oscar alone cost more than our entire team out there now

  100. DEVILisRED says:

how nani lost the ball at chelsea penalty area is beyond me. we juz need to hold the ball.
good game of football. momentum definetly with chelsea now unfortunately.

  101. Saad says:

Why didnt Nani just keep it in the corner???

  102. RedRich says:

It was a penalty but awarded 15 seconds after the 3 minutes of allotted time.

    Fucking joke.

More important they’ve got the best team they’re allowed to have minus twat Cole. We have 6 players on the field who cost nothing. Well done United whatever happens.

  103. redlad 19 says:

nani twat cud of kept the fucker a minute before

  104. Dela says:

Annoyed. I knew it was coming. I could smell it coming, watched the clock pass the 3rd minute and I just knew it was coming.

Come on now Chico, you can do it again son!

  105. Hans says:

Fucking hell, all we only had to keep the ball for 60 sec. It had to be Nani who gives it away needlessly. Don blame the youngster. He was conned by the rent boy. Anyway, lad have done very well. They are playing almost the same team that played on Sunday and they had to rely on dodgy penalty to equalise.

I hope I am wrong, but now will be very difficult to win this match.

  106. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

Are you fucking kidding me? FUCKS SAKE SCOTT. Jesus flipping christ. I’m sorry guys i am just pissed to high heaven right now.

  107. Costas says:

I don’t mind extra time with a reserve squad, but damn Rafa will play a lot of football this week.

  108. rat1p says:

well i see nani is our new scapegoat, get a grip

  109. brisbanefan says:

Two points to be considered about tonigh’ts game:

    1) Chelsea have scored 5 goals in two games v UTD. Only 1 was from open play.

    2) On the field tonight Chelsea had 9 players who played on Saturday. UTD had 2.
So much for Chelsea having a ‘strong’ squad.

  110. knightsmith says:

I notice the chavs aren’t complaining too much about the ref tonight are they?

  111. Costas says:

Yeah I didn’t get why we didn’t run down the clock either. Probably thought Chelsea didn’t have any attacks left. Ugh.

  112. redlad 19 says:

shud of kept the ball instead of going 4 goal

  113. Costas says:

    Ah fuck.

  114. AlphaRS says:

    You couldn’t make this up.

  115. James7t7 says:

    SELL HIM

  116. Hans says:

I hope Wooton does not let this game destroy him!!! Feel so sorry for him!

  117. AntiScouser says:

Sad ending to an enchanting story.

  118. Mahesh says:

Great game this by the lads regardless of the result.one thing had been made clear though over the two games-ddg is clear no.1

  119. DEVILisRED says:

no shame on the young defenders. the lads gave a good account of themselves today. not trying to pick on nani, but his stupidity cause us the game. such an experience player. disapointing

  120. youCANTbuyTHISfeeling says:

Awful but this will be an invaluable learning experience for the “kids”, just hope we pull this one off

  121. rat1p says:

    @DEVILisRED
    nani cost us the game??
    you must be joking

  122. Mahesh says:

This is just tiredness and lack of match fitness.

  123. matt says:

    james7t7

shut up you fucken idiot. “sell him”.. are you fucken kidding? they are young boys who have made a couple mistakes. they will learn from it. get over it.

but next time everyone clamours for the young boys to start league games and CL games, just remember that they are inexperienced and will make mistakes which will cost us. hence why SAF only really uses them in dead rubbers

  124. Costas says:

It’s a cruel hand for Wootton, but it is just his 3rd prefessional game and the first at this level.

In my opinion the 2 youngsters deserve more chances in the first team. They won’t be so green when they have Rio, Vidic or Evans next to them. I’d rather see that than Carrick as a CB.

  125. Ice Cube says:

No shame. They needed the big guns. Our lads are young and will hopefully learn, if the have it at this level. Chelsea do not have as good as squad, injuries could cost them.

  126. AntiScouser says:

We were Manchester United the last time I checked and we must raise our bar high. Our boys are young and inexperienced, but the manager will tell them this is not good enough at this level. Sadly.

  127. SantaClaus says:

Sturridge is the most useless striker i have ever seen, if he is england future.. god save them .. fucking useless count

  128. Hans says:

    @rat1p
With 60 seconds to go, deep in their end he gave the ball away needlessly. he should have known better.
This has been a typical Nani game, few brilliant moves, and plenty of frustrating ones.

  129. Andromeda says:

Whatever the result I am proud of our players….still got another 15minutes.

  130. Marq says:

Well, not slating Lindegaard, but for me he is not better than DDG like how some people might suggest

  131. Bobby charlton's combover says:

People on here are writing us off, there’s 15 minutes left. They have to go for it. Nothing to lose.

  132. DEVILisRED says:

    @Rat1p
there’s a few option to lay the ball to to run down the clock, only a few seconds left. but he choose to dribble into the crowds. bad decision on his part which unfortunately cause us the game, yup that’s what i was saying.

  133. Costas says:

Maybe it was a knee jerk reactio to take Buttner off at half time. It means breaking up the Fletcher-Anderson axis that kept Chelsea at bay.

  134. Redial says:

Not watching the game but been reading up on live commentaries and these are the points I have gathered:
    1. We are playing well against a chelsea side that is now actually full-strength. Bunch of cunts won’t still see that they are not as good as they’ve decieved themselves to believe.
    2. Anderson is having a great game.
    3. Nani still highlights the concept of polarity.
    4. DDG should be our numero uno
    5. I’m should wait for the final score.

  135. youCANTbuyTHISfeeling says:

Nani can always be criticized i’m afraid, never enough to justify the moments of quality. Powell needs to assert himself in the midfield..we can still do this. come on lads

  136. Hans says:

Come on, we need one more chance!

  137. DEVILisRED says:

if we do go out of this cup, it will really be unjust to these young players cos this competition is their platform to get some competitive first games under their belt. man…they gave chelsea first team a run for their money. fantastic game of football.

  138. Hans says:

    Bad decision by Tunni!

  139. rat1p says:

    @DEVILisRED
    “unfortunately cause us the game”
i know where you coming from, but to say we lost the game because of that, is just ignorant in my opinion

  140. saturn says:

Some of the coments on here dear dear dear hang ur heads in shame.

  141. edhardy says:

I somewhat agree with Costas but if Buttner was still in the match he would have been going through so much trouble!!
So Chelski need their Oscar, Mata and hazard to beat our young chaps!! The boys did us proud

  142. samuel - united WE stand says:

Marq – don’t see how anyone can justify lindegaard being better, he’s at best a number 2 and should remain so. In fact, i’d go as far as saying he hasn’t nailed the number 2 spot.

  143. Costas says:

We were never going to win this in extra time. Not with the gap in class and stamina. Goof effort from the youngsters nonetheless. Chin up.

  144. AntiScouser says:

Becoming a bit embarrassing now, good night.

  145. Marq says:

Somehow I have this feeling that Nani knows he messed up. He hasn’t done anything right after he gave away the ball leading up to Chelsea’s equaliser

Anyway, good game. Hope Swansea capitalise on Chelsea’s tiredness

  146. AntiScouser says:

There’s no need to reiterate but I fucking hate Chelsea. I have to say that before I go. shit club, shit players, shit fans, no class. they have no dignity when they lose, they have no dignity at all. Fuck Chelsea and everybody involved with them.

  147. Andromeda says:

A game to forget.our lads made us proud, despite making mistakes but they have got things to learn and nothing is better than learning from mistakes!!we are still united

  148. DEVILisRED says:

    @rat1p, u r entitled to ur opinion & i m entitled to mine. cheers.

  149. Hans says:

I think the turning point in the match was when Anderson was subbed. With Fletch at right back, we totally lost the midfield, and they are playing the first choice midfield.

It would have been nice for youngsters to have won, but I hope they learned a lot from this match.

  150. Marq says:

Only true United fans would be proud of our performance. Nothing embarrased. Only non fans feel that way

  151. edhardy says:

I don’t even know why the chavs are celebrating all over the place.

  152. bbqbod says:

tbh who cares about the idiot cup anyway?

  153. AlphaRS says:

Tomorrow morning most will realise that their is no shame in losing to Chelsea. No matter what the manner of the defeat was, the kids did us proud tonight. Whatever the mistakes made tonight the kids will learn and it will make them stronger.

  154. matt says:

    antiscouser

    well said

  155. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

TOTALLY PROUD of our boys tonight. Our second team took chelsea’s first team basically to extra time. Hold your heads up high to night cuz we made this club VERY PROUD to night. Nothing to be ashamed of AT ALL.

  156. Hans says:

Well done lads, you have done us proud.

  157. Channy says:

For the record, fuck the ABU media, our young lads played well show hunger and the will to win. It takes 9 of the Rentboys first team to break down our lads. Plenty of positives to take on.

  158. DEVILisRED says:

great game. great performance. too bad lost it. but chin up surely. agreed anderson going off lost us the midfield. he was really bossing the middle of the park today. but u could see he’s really tiring out…so replacing him seems a necessity. no choice.

  159. James7t7 says:

Marq give over.. Really sloppy errors handed Chelsea the victory tonight.

  160. Hans says:

Rafael having played 120 minutes tonight, would not be surprised if Smalling plays at RB on Saturday.

  161. Bobby charlton's combover says:

    @andromeda
    “game to forget”

I don’t know where to start disagreeing with that comment.

  162. Costas says:

Well said Marq. Chelsea had to bring on their best players and wait until our young CBs tired before they salvaged it. Great outing from our players.

Lets hope Rafa will recharge the batteries in time for Arsenal.

  163. Dela says:

That is why Fergie doesn’t play them.

Buttner at fault for first penalty. Wooton for the late penalty, and Keane for the goal that put them ahead. All in all a damning report for them. Still, it’s only the league cup, but I’d really like the questions about why Fergie doesn’t play more youngsters to just stop. THIS IS WHY! They aren’t ready yet.

Let it also be known, Chelsea had to bring on three of their heavyweights to beat a second rate United team. No class at that club at all. Putting on Hazard, Ramires and Oscar in the league cup.

Delighted for Swansea to push Rodgers out of the cup too, FA Cup only shot the pool have at Europe now.

Look ahead of Arsenal game now, RvP to hurt his former employers.

  164. Redbilly says:

Chelsea won but those kids put 4 past them :-) . Well done lads

  165. Marq says:

That was the thing about Anderson, and it is precisely the reason he is not getting games. He hasn’t played much, yes he provided 3 assists, but even in the first half he stood letting players go. I can only conclude that his fitness is his problem, nothing wrong with his form

  166. rory says:

F@*K the result on this occassion, the lads did us VERY PROUD tonight, well done!!! The future is bright, filled with talented and more importantly HONEST players unlike their scumbag counterparts: The RentBoys! COME ON UNITED!

  167. samuel - united WE stand says:

Positives = anderson really is a fantastic midfielder, tonight’s performance will push him for a first team role. You learn from defeats, more so than victory, these younger players now have to realise they have some way to go before competing for a first team role. When they’ll get another chance, well i don’t think they will for a long time. Always disappointing to lose to chelsea but positives can be gathered, just as much negatives, we move on.

  168. Andromeda says:

We lost a battle but not the war.our youngsters were absolutely fantastic, obviously this young squad can still play in the FA cup and compensate for their heart break.let up all applaude them, everybody here should be proud

  169. Mahesh says:

Some people on here are real dicks honestly. That was great game of football, and a great performance overall against an almost full strength Chelsea team who sit top of the league. Wooton and Keane were really really good until they physically and mentally tired at the end – if you have a first team player like Anderson get knackered like he did, imagine the state of these young lads going 120 mins! Admirable – the only young lad that was disappointingly underwhelming was probably Ryan Tunnicliffe, and Powell to an extent. But overall solid perfomance, and what a game to watch!

  170. Costas says:

    @Dela

In fairness, no one said play them together in the Premiership. Just that instead of playing Carrick with Vidic or Rio (which hurts us in two areas of the pitch) we could try Wootton or Keane instead. And looking at how those two played during the first 90 minutes, it’s a legit demand. Buttner on the other hand still has work to do with his defending. It’s the one area where he still hasn’t proved he’s more reliable than Evra.

    Hans says:

I think the turning point in the match was when Anderson was subbed. With Fletch at right back, we totally lost the midfield, and they are playing the first choice midfield.

It would have been nice for youngsters to have won, but I hope they learned a lot from this match

EXACTLy. when Ando went off, we lost the game.

If we compare the youngsters, defenders played better than Powell and Tunnicliffe. They were rubbish tonight. Not writing them off, hell no, but the yshould have raised their game, and they never did. Keane was very good, and Wootton also until that 3-3 goal.

I was very disappointed with Tunni and Powell.

    peace out.

  172. T4M says:

Tunnicliffe is shit.massiveley overrated by top reds.Doesn’t have a future at the club.Wooton and keane were decent until they cost us the game.why didn’t we have at least valencia or rooney on the bench.

  173. Hans says:

Another important moment in the match was Chicharito’s missed chance at 3:2.

  174. Diego says:

So that was Cech, Sideshow, Cahill, Ramires, Oscar, Mata, Hazard from their first team. Guess someone over at the bridge loves COC.

  175. Andromeda says:

@Boby Charlton, my bad perhaps a hand to remember..I am proud of our players, but at the same time I am sad and frustrated because the lads were gave it a fantastic performance.

  176. orez says:

The boys should be proud, cause they were playing Chelsea starters bar couple, so no reason to blame youngsters. One person that needs to get shit though is Nani, both of Chelsea fullback had him in their back pockets the whole game. That was embarrassing game from him. On the other side excellent game from Andy. The best game in United shirt IMO and based on it he should start in space of Cleverley. The other embarrassing performance was from Welbeck, nothing can be said about this guy. I think he is absolutely useless.

  177. Costas says:

As great as he was tonight, Anderson should look at 38 year old Giggs scoring in the 120th minute and then running to pick up the ball and realize how much he’s wasting his potential. Our whole dynamic would have been different if he could last more than 70 minutes.

  178. Northwalesred says:

I can respect Arsenal and Liverpool as real football clubs. I don’t like them, but I respect their history, it’s Chelsea and City I despise. Fuckin Chav scum both of them, bought and fuckin paid for by people with no class at all,bet they won’t be moaning about the ref tonight the cockney cunts. Horrible.fuckin horrible, rent boy scum.
Nothing but PRIDE in the lads tonight, the future is BRIGHT.

  179. WeAreUnited says:

    Hans again I agree,

Chicha or Ando should have scored that chance :( ((

proud of the young defenders, but not the midfielders.

  180. Marq says:

I have to say a word for Powell. Because Giggs went roaming, Powell had to sit deep, hence limiting his chance of influencing the game. In the first half, we had Giggs, Anderson & Fletcher in the middle. After Anderson went off and Fletcher went to RB, it was only left with Giggs and Powell. Imagine Powell alone had to deal with the trio of Mata, Oscar & Hazard that gave our first team the run around. So spare him

  181. pablo says:

hilarious.chavs had to bring on their big guns a fucking plastic club with plastic fans and a crooked owner.hate these bastards with a passion they represent everything wrong with modern day football a club that grew from fuckin corrupt rubles…………………………………….

  182. Costas says:

Speaking of Giggs, he and Fletcher deserve credit for completing 120 minutes in a game of this magnitude. I had my doubts about both guys.

  183. Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson says:

Why, oh why couldn’t Nani just play keep-away ball for a few more seconds? Pass it sideways or backwards, man!!!

Anyway, as others have mentioned, there’s a lot of positives to take away from this–namely that our youngsters got some good experience, as well as the realization that our second team were seconds away from winning this thing.

  184. NBI Red Onion says:

Can’t believe SAF played Jones (same age) who is a new player bought from outside ahead of Pogba in MF last season – http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/serie-pogba-scores-winner-juventus-beat-bologna-204726301.html – depressing. We should have done what it takes to lay him and keep him. Ando and co are not in his league when you see him play.

On the game…just when you think Giggsy is done for he pops up and shows you what he can still do. Stupid penalties, but that will be a learning curve, we should have won, I really hate Chelsea. They are just Liverpool self pitying whingers with more money and some bit of chavy success.

  188. 53toBrooksBar says:

Thought. The lads were great tonight with one sad exception, it really is time for him to ( especially when Rios on Twitter during the game saying “@rioferdy5: Nani stop iiiiiiiiit with the Dinky do! Ando been involved in all 3 goals #productive” Nuff said…..

  189. Mahesh says:

Marq – I suppose Tunnicliffe never made it on to the pitch?! Sounds about right – the guy was anonymous, and when he did pop up I wished he had stayed anonymous…

Also, someone needs to get Ando onto a treadmill – SAF really needs to sit down and tell him to shape up because if he can play like this, he will be massive – and the fitter he is the better he’s going to be!

  190. samuel - united WE stand says:

Costas – i’m lost as to how giggs running to pick a ball (who is probably running on adrenaline rather than actual fitness) has anything to do with anderson. I think it’s understandable for a guy that barely plays to run out of gas. If given regular games then that’s when potentials are fufilled and that’s how he’ll get fully fit.

  191. WeAreUnited says:

Giggs was a superstar in this game, very admirable from him. BIG RESPECT.

For me Rafael, Giggs, Ando and Chicha were the only players that played very good.

We gotta let the dust go down, cause like many have mentioned, we had, what?, 2 players that played in that game last sunday? and the yhad their full squad.

Good from us, ONLY let down was, Powell and Tunnicliffe, for me, the ydidn’t step up. Lost the ball all the time.

As for KEane and Wootton, they played together a great 93 minutes and after that Kean played the rest great and Wootton above average. They are young, and like this guy in skysport said, not Yorke, white guy said the played like 20 games tonight.

    Now lets listen SAF

  192. Vidic says:

    SAF slatin Nani.

  193. Marq says:

    Mahesh

Haha, I purposely left out mentioning Tunni, because the less said the better.

    Samuel

I made this point before, but I believe fitness is something that can be trained, for match sharpness game time is needed. Anderson needs to get his fitness up before he can be considered for matches which will give him match sharpness. Its a chicken and egg question.

  194. Marq says:

Well, seems like Nani’s time is really up

  195. Mahesh says:

Samuel – Are you telling me someone (like Ando) who’s been a pro player for years now is justified to run out of gas 60 minutes into a game, while a 38 year old goes on for 120…over even more to the point while young lads who have hardly ever player top level football last 120 minutes? That’s just nonsense…

  196. Jay says:

This was a chance for the young boys to win and get an extended run of games, when else would they get that chance. I have to say Oscar is amazing at only just 20 years old he looks like he can be bullied off the ball but he is very strong and has plenty of skill. Anderson is really coming into his own and looks good and I’m his fiercest critic, Welbeck had a really bad game couldn’t keep the ball, getting bullied off the ball and making sloppy passes. Let’s hope it gets better or he will definitely be a regular on the bench going by that performance. Ferguson is a little annoyed with Nani and felt he should of kept the ball instead of going for glory.

  197. United84 says:

Our boys were very unlucky tonight. Our lapses in concentration cost us and we definately had those rent boys shitting bricks. If we had the luxury of either rooney, young, rvp and carrick coming on from the bench we would have pissed all over them. Not to worry we scored 3 clinical goals whilst those wankers had to rely on 2pens and individual mistakes from our youngsters. Bring on arsenal and our big guns. I like Lindergard but cant see him getting any better. DDG is better now and by the time he is Anders’ age he will be the best in the world. No doubt.

  198. WeAreUnited says:

Osqar 20 years old, and some say sometiems for those kind of players from brazil that they are too little etc. He is amazing.

Then we have our midfield pair who are almost at the same age. And are not playing with the same style. Nothing special. Maybe I am too mad at the moment, but they young midfielders let me down.

    shiiet!!!!!!!

let’s hope they start develope and realise that it’s not easy to be the best at United.

  199. Costas says:

    @Samuel

Adrenaline plays a part in general when you are out there. Not just in that specific moment. It was also one of the reasons why Anderson made a couple of runs even after he looked knackered. However, there’s something wrong when one player lasts 120 minutes at the age of 38 and the other barely lasts 80 at the age of 25. More or less these two have played the same amount of football in recent weeks, so I don’t think that had much to do with it. Anderson has to find the answer himself. Because as things stand, it doesn’t look like he will reach the peak of his fitness by playing consecutive games. Not based on what Fergie has shown us anyway.

  200. samuel - united WE stand says:

NBI – it’s like watching a previous girlfriend. Admiring her beauty and bemoaning the monstrous forehead of your new one. Pogba made his choice and has left, you’re only torturing yourself by posting every great moment he produces in serie a, i don’t think anyone doubted his potential.

  201. Costas says:

    Public hairdryer for Nani.

  202. Marq says:

Btw, that Pogba goal was a free header. Any tom dick or harry could have scored it. Not doubting his talent, but just saying a goal doesn’t show how you perform in a game. Just ask Nani

  203. WeAreUnited says:

Samuel you are right, I just was about to write that meanwhile Pogba scores a goal. Better not care about the guy who left us, or who we didn’t give a chance.

Anyway. Keane and Wootton played good, but for me KEane is the better one, and he will be fighting for the place in the squad amongst Jones and Smalling, Wootton, was good, but scared. Not slating cause they played together 93minutes good football.

Saturday game will be a whole different story .)

I am confident and was all the time in the game for our Team, unfortunately Chelski got lucky and we lost.

    peace.

  204. Djunfitforwork says:

You guys are right about Chelsea having no class as a club. I suspect the complaint about Sundays’ ref is just b.s to take the heat off their racist scumbag of a captain.

If we get 3 points against Arsenal -the gamble will have been worth it. Hope Wooton does not get de-motivated.

  205. Mahesh says:

So I take it Nani’s out. Might as well at this point – he’s been here for years and looks as out of the picture as he’s ever been. And he’s as inconsistent as he’s ever been as well. Time to move on!

  206. Mahesh says:

So what exactly did SAF say about Nani?

  207. edhardy says:

Why were people expecting Powell and Tunni to outplay Mata, Oscar and Hazard in the midfield? They have been playing every week at the top level whiles our 2 young lads play in the reserve. I think it is unfair to be asking too much from them.

  208. Hans says:

    @Mahesh
Agree, He had two matches to make a statement: Braga and tonight. In both of them he was very poor. Tonight, his stupidity and selfishness at 93 minute cost us the match.

  209. Dandivine7 says:

I really dont get the criticism of the young players, they did well, yes conceded 5 times but I believe in them. I agree with SAF saying he should keep the ball in injury time rather than embarking on a dribble which led to the pressure and penalty. He’s a great player but decision making can be unbelievable at times. Even with that, We’ll move on. Keane excited Me a lot too, hope his twin comes back stronger too. Rafael looks on course to be a starter for Brazil at the world cup the rate at which he’s improving, Powell, Tunni tried too. Onwards, upwards and forward United!!!

  210. diablored says:

The biggest question posed by ths game for me is, Ando vs Clev? Clev is beta at keepin possession but Ando is more of a visionary and threat going forward. Next to Carrick or Fletcher who are also a possession players, I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Ando quite honestly. Even in 50/50 situations, he’s more of a hustler than Clevs is.
Nani, is a confidence player, whu needs regular games and good man-management to function properly. Fergie needs to decide if he’s up for that challenge. Otherwise he still is the most skillful player in our team, and in my opinion definately worth keeping. The goal he scored today, could only be scored by him for example

  211. Costas says:

The contract saga has clearly had a negative impact on Nani’s career. Watching his performances so far this season, for every right move, he makes one or two wrong ones. His head is messed up. It’s a shame it has come down to this because I am not sure it will be easy to go but a similar or better winger than him next summer. Not to mention that we will have to spend the rest of the season with basically 2 wingers.

  212. Goat Peticoat says:

Im well proud of the lads. I feel for young Wootton he made a few clangers but generally we were woeful in defence. They missed alot of sitters and we could have been more composed as well. They finished with the team that will more than likely play this weekend, we played youngsters and we could compete. Apart from Nanis goal he was next to useless. Anderson showed some lovely touches but he looks disgusting, I was screeming at Sir Alex to take him off, he had run out of steam and was strutting about when every other fucker was working. Fletcher was brilliant. Giggs was awesome, Wellbeck run his fucking heart out. Rafael did pretty well, nearly saved a goal but I thought twins were exactly the same, he wasnt much of a left back. Buttner was terrible, I thought last match he had defensive flaws, know its obvious he wioll never be a premier league defender. Attacking and pace yes, defence NO. Powell started well then dissapeared, Tunicliff came on and needn’t have bothered. Macheda was not all that.
All in all Im happy with what they achieved and the lessons theyve learned against a very expensive team. Chin up lads

  213. WeAreUnited says:

SAF just said he could have kept the ball there in the corner, but he is an individual so that’s it.

I don’t know, but Nani after his goal was anonymous, but before that played good, solid game, nothign spectacular and scored a goal. That is what you all want right?

After he scored he was quiet and started playing bad :(

Why SAF didn’t mention that after Nani should have gone go to the corner there were 2 or 3 players that touched also the ball? So it’s plain stupid to blame one player. Who also scored an important goal.

Anyway, I also know his days are over, but you gotta admit that before he scored his goal, he played an solid game where he didn’t go for those special moves that you people don’t like, but still the guy gets the stick.

    peace.

  214. samuel - united WE stand says:

You can say giggs is 38 or whatever but he’s a different physical specimen to most players, he’s probably naturally fitter than those younger so i’m baffled with the comparisons. Anderson has barely played for years now, mainly due to injuries. I’d imagine he’s still battling his way back to fitness and adapting to playing in intensity games. I agree he has to work harder to get back to fitness but i don’t see how that will solely stop him fulfilling his potential. I’m sure he’ll get back to working on that part but his quality is for all to see.

  215. Proverb says:

Got to give credit to Victor Moses. He really was very good tonight. Forced SAF into changing it up which I think ultimately cost us. Saf switched rafa to the left with fletcher and we were left exposed in the middle, with our best player in the night already subbed off and tunnicliffe not providing much in attack we had to push the ever soo erratic giggs to the middle which once more left us with no steel in the middle of the park therefore allowing the brilliant oscar to exploit it
It was a very great match of football which was going our way till that deadly mistake by wootton which ultimately shuttered his confidence and injected nervousness to him game. The time was already up only ref was waiting for it to go out so he could blow the whistle, but I’m not going to make one player our scapegoat.
I even applauded after the final whistle, as I know the kids took the full strength chelsea side to extra time and could have easily won had it was not for the silly mistakes in crucial moment

  216. Costas says:

    @Mahesh

“All we needed to do was keep the ball & Nani decided to try and beat a player, that resulted in a penalty. He should’ve kept the ball.”

That’s what I found on twitter.

  217. Nigerian Red says:

Everyone but Nani was excellent today. He might have scored a beautiful goal but cost us the game with 30 secs to go. I wonder what he was paying at when he lost the ball.
He’s talented no doubt but too much of a liability, I don’t think his talent is worth it so he should be sold off to the highest bidder outside the EPL.
I hope most of the lads that played today get a chance to feature in the FA cup

  218. Hans says:

Now I am quite sorry that we have missed a chance to play Leeds scum!!!

  219. WeAreUnited says:

    @Nigerian

For me as a team we played 93 minutes exellent, no matter what chelski did. Included Nani.

After that 3-3 goal, we wen downward, but we should remind ourselves that they brought their first-teamers.

So blaming Nani, is crazy, After Nani didn’t play to the corner, Chicha went offside or something like that. We are not blamign Chicha? I get it, play it safe when winning, but that didn’t cost the game. Our defending cost the game at the end.

3 players were alone in the box to score, and they get the penalty. Before Nani scored the goal, he played a solid game where he didn’t try to beat everyone, after the goals, he became anonymous.

Liek someone said he needs man-management, but Like everyone else, we know his days are over here, sad for me, btu I support United so we gotta move on.

  220. Costas says:

Now that one cup competition is out of the way and the likes of Smalling and Jones are returing, maybe we can stop the bleeding in defence. 22 conceded goals in 14 games is attrocious.

    @Samuel

We could compare him to other players. Has Anderson played less games than Darren Fletcher over the last 2 years? Probably not. Fletch was another one that lasted 120 minutes out there today. And we know what he’s been through. I realize that players always need time to build their stamina after an injury, but Anderson’s case is more complex than that. Unless I am mistaken, he’s been training normally since the start of the season. His conditioning should be good enough for him to last 90 minutes. I wouldn’t care if it was someone average. But he’s shown what he can do and the fact that we can’t get the best of him for more than an hour is frustrating.

  221. samuel - united WE stand says:

Fair to say nani has truly put a nail on inevitabilty with that poor decision but it would be mind boggling to blame the defeat on him. He’s leaving and i think i’ve accepted that, he’s probably already signed for juve. I’m struggling to see who united can actually afford to replace him all across europe.

  222. denton davey says:

RedRich @ 22:40: “It was a penalty but awarded 15 seconds after the 3 minutes of allotted time.”

It was “RobbieTime” down at TheBridge tonight.

  223. WeAreUnited says:

    @Costas

This is just speluatons from me, but could it be that Ando wasn’t tired, and SAF just decided to change him?

For me he didnät look tireed? Was it because of adrenaline? I don’t know, but for me he didn’t look tired, That’s why I was amazed that he was replaced by Tunni, who had a bad game along with Powell. But not blaming them, let’s hope they learn from this.

BTW. Keane and Wootton has a big task to go in front of Evans, Smalling and Jones. For me at the moment Keane is closer to do that, based on this game.

  224. WeAreUnited says:

    @samuel

unfortunately for Nani and us, our road is splitting even though anything can happen, the season is long, but I also have accepted that fact.

The “replacement” if we can call it that ways , shoulda, coulda be Iker Muniain, but lets not get ahead of ourselves and lets support our team until the season is over and then decide what to do :)

it’s too early to say anything. We know what Nani did that one season against Arsenal and how it changed his career here, so lets not give totally up.

I will support United no matter who plays!! cmooon lads.

  225. Mahesh says:

Sorry Samuel – but I can’t buy your defense of Ando’s fitness level! I think he’s a fantastic player, and he showed it today, and no doubt injuries have hampered him, but you would think a player trying to get back into the squad would make sure that when he gets the chance he’s last the 90 or die trying. I think you will find very few pro players who spend every week on the bench struggle to last 70 minutes when they are called upon.

  226. Costas says:

    @WeAreUnited

He didn’t look exhausted like he did against Newcastle in the last round, but he looked like running out of energy. That had to be the reason why he was taken off. Nothing wrong with his performance, that’s for sure.

  227. Sushi says:

I think everyone needs to chill get a bit of perspective. They had a point to prove and their manager was desperate not to lose again probably cause old roman would sack him come morning. Secondly, we played inexperienced back 3 (excl Rafael) and they did reasonably well compared to frontline and midfield of Chelsea.
Thirdly, their was enough quality in overall performance to show we’ve got a good future.
That was a pretty strong Chelsea side and if anything they should be concerned how they allowed us to score 4 with both Luiz and Cahill on

  228. slim says:

Goes without saying I was impressed with the lads. I thought Anderson was full of verve and guile.Hernandez showed he’s a class act. Thoroughly impressed with Danny welbeck. Wasn’t happy with giggs though. Some sloppy stuff.Going back to Danny, I simply love his close control and the way he beats opponents- Rooney eat your heart out. No second season for this manc.
Less said about nani the better

  229. Mahesh says:

WeareUnited: Ando was so tired he was actually asking to be taken off! I think by around 55 minutes in he had bothered chasing balls or marking players and actually was playing as our most advanced player so he didn’t have to track back! He was THAT tired!

  230. Mahesh says:

By the way, anyone now willing to contest the fact that David De Gea has to be the undisputed No. 1?! He has to start every time!

  231. Brendan says:

Please please sell nani sir Alex.cost us the game tonight.

  232. slim says:

    Diablored

My solution would be to accommodate both of them. Ando and clevs compliment each other well. They just need a senior player calibre DM allow them do their thing. Big fan of the Brazilian, showed some great touches and exceptional skills on the ball and great industry too. Bit disappointed he tires out quite drastically though. Shame he can’t be relied on past the hour mark.

  233. Sushi says:

Man what a cunt this di Matteo is he said post match they wanted to prove how Sundays result was all down to ref decisions…..yeah sure….fucking delusional moron.

Fergie didn’t sound too pissed about Nani lol

  234. WeAreUnited says:

Maybe I was so much into the game guys, that I didn’t notice him gettind tired hahah.

It sometiems happens for me :P probably that is the reason and he was tired or like Costas said looked like running out of energy.

Anyway an exellent performance from him and our team for 93 minutes :) I am very proud.

But this I have to ssay, that I expected very much from Powell and Tunni, no matter who they faced. But got very disappointed. Only way is up, that’s for sure.

But if a guy from Brazil who is 20 runs a show, then our players should also look a bit into themselves and realise that, you haven’t fullfill your potential or MADE IT by playing 1 game or 40 minutes for United. Here you make it when you put a good show and lift youself from the other lads.

Anyway, good luck for our young lads!

  235. slim says:

Please for the love of God, getting sick of the sell nani nonsense. He’s having a rough one, support the boy for fucks sake

  236. samuel - united WE stand says:

Costas – fair enough and i agree with your frustrations as to how united can’t get enough out of him as he’s a quality player, he’s brazilian and some of them slack off in terms of putting in the shift that’ll benefit their talents but i’m willing to give anderson the benefit of the doubt as to why he isn’t at full fitness. He recently claimed he needs to work harder in order to play longer at the highest level, so i’m taking mainly positives out of his performance, there’s a player of genuine top quality which we need to get the best out of. Maybe this is a big step in the right direction.

  237. WeAreUnited says:

    @slim

just don’t mind of it. let it go, I am also sick of it, for me he played very solid, scored a goals and tracked back, for 92 minutes and 53 second, then he lost the ball, Chicha went offside or do I remember wrong?

They got the ball and scored, when our defence were siced and Ramires and 2 other chelski players were somehow alone. But still it’s Nani’s fault, of course. The guy plays that game that everyone demands, which means not beating his man, and play solid. Still not satisfied.

Anyway, good performance from our team for 93 minutes! no complaints, it just was those kinda games, that you never know what happens next.

  238. samuel - united WE stand says:

I think it’s unfair to compare oscar, who is a 25mill talent and who has had enough club and international experience with tunni and powell who have barely strung 5 appearances at the highest level. Oscar is a fantastic talent who chelsea have yet again cherry picked with their oligarch’s bottomless pit of cash, we certainly can’t compete on that front. United have quality in their youth ranks, what is required is perseverance and support for them, not knee-jerk comparisons.

  239. Tonka Norris says:

It wasn’t a match between equals, was it? But away from home and under the shadow of Sundays game we did well!

How unequal? Use this formula – a regular first team player is a 1.0; a first team squad player is a 2.0 (not first choice for their position); a reserve is a 3.0. The average rating is the metric of the team’s strength

Chelsea finished at 1.45; United finished at 2.0.

The guys did well. Proud of them!

  240. WeAreUnited says:

SAMUEL it’s no knee jerk comparison, but a real one. OF course you have to compare them. WHy he has got so much experience and our players don’t?

I am supporting our lads, just that if we want to maintain our standard, we have to compare with the best, and they are almost at the same age and young, so you have to compare them.

I get what you’re saying, no hard feelings, but sometimes, because of that fairness, we lack sometimes in some areas. Just that I was expecting so much of Powell and Tunni and got very disappointed, but that doesn’t mean, that I am knee-jerking.

LEt’s compare them then with Pogba. Is that fair? they have the same backround, right? Nothing against our players, I have supported the klebersons and the djemba-djembas, so why not suppirting our academy lads, I had so much high hopes that when I realised that they aren’t yet up to it, I got mad, cause now we have to wait them to develope, and it will take 2-3 years.

While Oscar is developing and becoming very strong at the same age, and we are waiting.
I didn’t mean anything knee-jerking! Alwasy supporting, just am disappointed with them two. You aren’t hearing me knee-jerking wootton and keane? No.

    peace.

sometimes you just have to raise the facts.

    nothing serious.

btw. read the second comment, cause in the first one, I pressed the button too early.

  243. WeAreUnited says:

btw what do you think? Did Moses dive?

At first, I said that Buttner took him off, but after seeing the replays in halftime, I realised, that Buttner sticked his foot, which is stupid in the 16 yards, and Moses just dived, his feet seemed to forgot the gravity and he went towards Buttners feet?

OF vourse, if it was an United player I would be happy and not complaining, but was it a dive?

What do you think guys? Not that it changed the game, just an interesting thought.

  244. Red Devil Canuck says:

Seriously, fuck Paul Pogba. Can’t believe how much people are talking about him on this thread…

Disappointing loss today when we were only a few seconds away from the win.

  245. orez says:

@WeAreUnited comparing Oscar and Powell is ridiculous. One was bout for like 30 mil the other for like 3. I am not sure about the real prices but it was in this range and prices in this case don’t lie. Oscar is complete product and Powell is potential and so are the prices. United don’t have the money to shop for the complete articles so we stick with potential.

  246. diablored says:

Y say Fuck Pogba? If we can laugh at Arsenal and say they always let go of their good players, y can’t we accept blame and say letting that boy go was a mistake? Would most definately rather have him around than the Jones’ and Tunnicliffes we have now. The way people talk about his comeback bein exciting is beyond me! I don’t thnk Jones makes any difference to the mid or defence at all! We’d stil b leakin goals, not to mention his tendancy of scoring own goals(eg Newcastle)
Its time we took responsibility for our bad decisions: Pogba should have been kept happy and negotiated with, God knows we need him as an upcoming D-mid!

Arsenal: Should have kept RVP, Fab etc
    Liverpool: Shoulda kept Alonso etc
    Milan: Shoulda kept Zlatan, Silva
    Dortmund: Shoulda kept Kagawa, Sahin
Valencia: Shoulda kept Mata, Villa etc

Great teams keep their great players….

  247. WeAreUnited says:

    @orez

don’t talk to me like I don’t know that we keep potentials.

But it’s right to compare them. We bought that potential and we will develope him as a great player. I am with you mate, but we have to wait 2-3 years for that, and Chelski only 13 games, Don’r say Oscar is a complete package cause he’s not and he wasn’t.

But he will become one, more faster. You have to compare best with best. Not slating our players, just said that I was disappointed that they didn’t use their opportunity to shine. Anyway, it was a strange game, and har for anyone to enter in that pression.

Sticking with our talents! don’t be worried.

  248. WeAreUnited says:

    and

I just was disappointed with Powell and Tunnicliffe, they got their chance, and didn’t use that. When will they have another chance and a better one to prove their worht? hard to say. Now we have to wait and see. I think both guys are terrific players with potential, but today that potential didn’t show.

Anyway, I still have high hopes for the lads, just that, we cannot afford to wait 1-3 years them to develope. Let’s hope that’s not the case.

Maybe it’s the result of not playing those guys in the PL? but then maybe it is better that the yhave to wait? Anyway, it’s not like we lost it in full-time, so we have to be happy.

when you support United for a decade, you don’t expect anything more than something superior, so that’s why i was disappointed with those two. I hope they will prove me wrong in the next game, when they get the chance.

diablored @ 01:54: “Pogba should have been kept happy and negotiated with,”

    Maybe, BUT:

    1) no matter what his potential might be, he couldn’t take playing-time away from Michael Carrick or TheGingerNinja last year because he wasn’t good enough;

    2) there was a deal-in-place in January for him to go to Juventus, set up by his agent; in much the same way the CR7 stayed on for one more year with a deal-in-place to go to RM after the end of the 2009 season; and,

    3) PP had no allegiance to MUFC – he’s a French kid who came to M/C for the money; when “show me the money” didn’t get the answer he liked, he went somewhere else – and he never said that Juve was his “dream”.

I reckon that when SAF knew that he’d lost PP, then he sorted out the deal with Crewe Alexandra for Nick Powell – for whom playing at OT was “my dream”.

I’m not crying over spilt milk – and I’m definitely not crying over the way that Ravel Morrison seems to be wasting his natural ability due to his mixed-up notions of “gangsta manhood”. These kids have the opportunity to live-the-dream and it’s up to them how they choose to do it. If they want the money before they’ve proven themselves then it’s good riddance, see ya, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Its wrong thatmany people relentlessly blaming Nani, seriously the lad did a brilliant job for us.overall he was magnificent, and if you are interpreting the whole performance of a player for a hand that lasted more than 120 on one single moment them that is ridiculous , god if you are judging him for why he didnt keep the ball at the last minutes of the game then you are all unfair toward the lad.first of all the pass I think came from our right flank, when Nani got the ball he was under intense pressure by three defenders, so he has got no time to decide what to do, perhaps he should make a better decision but nevertheless Fergie shouldn’t slate the boy publically..

  251. Jay says:

I don’t think Nami should get the blame, people are acting like he didn’t play well when he did. If anything in extra Wooton with his lack of concentration and lazy cross cost us the game. Welbeck was the worst player on the pitch yesterday, he was terrible. The attributes that Welbeck possesses that make him a good player were not on display yesterday.
