Luka who? I'm sorry. But both of these lads play for the same team ........ MANCHESTER UNITED. Pls don't start putting them against one another.

DisPpointed in the two goals. Both Lukaku and lindeloff looked off the pace
Martial was electric
Andreas Periera was sensational. This kid is the real deal.
Pogba is simply another class
Fosu gets an assist but he's a long way away
Mhiki is phenomenal

We must be patient

I'm hoping we buy 2CM and given Pereira a shot as well. Cover for pogba and hererra is very important, I believe Pereira can cover for pogba, we just need a CDM and CM signing to shore up midfield and we good to go and maybe a LB

Didn't see the game unfortunately!!! But what Jose Mourinho said after the game is a very good and reassuring thing by trying to field Lukaku and Rashford upfront in preseason!!! I trust Mourinho to bring the best out of the two and if it happens and Ibra recovers after few months then he can be a phenomenal bench addition!!

Though I like to think of it more as a 5-3-2 with wing-backs personally, but I guess its more or less the same thing.

Sounds like music to my ears, that. Lukaku + one of Rashford and Martial up front would give us a brilliant combination of goal-scoring threat and movement/dribbling. We could then use the wing-backs to stretch the opposition's defense in order to create more space centrally. If we play like this there should be little doubt will score significantly more than last season. With Lukaku as the lone striker however, I think we could be too limited in our style of play. That's also why I don't see an urgent need for Perisic, even though he could still do well in a 4-3-3.

On DM, I hope we get Dier or Fabinho ahead of Matic. I don't know if Matic is dynamic enough in the build-up play.

Whatever happens and whoever it is we need goals this season..
Atleast 1 player to get 20+ league goals and at least 3 others to hit 10 each..
Not really bothered whether that's Lukaku Rashford Mkhitaryan and Pogba or DeGea Romero Bailly and Lindelof..

Jose after the game said"Lukaku did more than some who scored the goals"not sure to whom he was referring as Martial and Rashford I thought played very well.Miki perhaps?

So Madrid wanted 80mil for Morata. But we paid basically 100mil for Lukaku ok minus Rooney transfer of 25mil (nope it wasn't a free) minus the 15 out standing for Morgan minus the 7.5 For Keane.

So United maybe shelled out 55mil to Ecerton that's the only excuse that make sense for not chipping the extra £5mil to buy Morata instead of Lukaku.

Not complaining but if a club like United is willing to blow 90mil on Pogs can't see what the issue is with £80 on Morata.

Now we about to spend 48mil on Perisic plus Martial as well.

Sometimes its just crazy what happens with United and transfers

I hope it is BS. But I read somewhere that this is an official request from inter. And considering Jose accused Martial of been selfish with the ball after the Galaxy game it seems like Jose is setting the stage for his exit. I have never heard Jose come out and explicitly back Martial ever so it's possible he doesn't like or rate him.

In any case I hope Lukaku lives up to the hype. Let's face it Pogba was good last season but not 90mil good. Ibrahimović and Bailey had a better season than he did. Not saying he was crap just saying he didn't leave me speechless or on my feet except for that goal against Swansea and about two long range passes to Zlatan to score.

However next season is close so there's the opportunity to improve and I believe this season will be excellent. Let's sign Matic and a good winger doesn't have to be Perisic.
