  1. AntiScouser says:

No Vidic and De Gea? This is insane. Carrick and Giggs again? Oh boy.

  2. utd_fc says:

    Scott where is vidic?!

  3. Red Robin says:

Come on you reds! Let’s kick some ass!

  4. utd_fc says:

okay he’s injured. FFS what is our fucking squad up to

  5. Moses says:

    what a joke

  6. Red Robin says:

This De Gea/Lindy affair, I guess SAF needs to clearly explain that Lindy is our no. 1 for league games while De Gea is for cups games. That’s what I read from this team sheet.

  7. Peter says:

Does this mean Evra replaces Vidic`s duty as captain for today?

  8. WeAreUnited says:

let’s hope Giggsy, with all due respect, isn’t in the wall, we remember what happened last time

  9. Zibbie says:

    COME ON MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!!!!

  10. Mahesh says:

Oh dear – giggsy playing…some things never change…What wrong with playing Cleverly or Anderson?

  11. Jonny says:

I guess he is worried that they might try and bully De Gea. De Gea must be our #1 really but still needs to toughen up a bit. Vidic must be not 100%, he’s not even a sub. Wouldn’t have minded seeing Buttner start

  12. ayo says:

DE Gea is better than lingard faguson should know that.

  13. Red Robin says:

    Peter

    We still have Rio?

  14. utd_fc says:

    Mahesh

Because SAF knows they can’t hack it against the bigger teams. That’s why we insist on playing 38 and 39 year olds week in and out.

Fuckinn have to watch these stupid ass Fox ‘Soccer’ fuckin ‘analysts’ don’t know what the fuck they’re talkin about fuckin stupid ass yanks

  15. Ash says:

    Red Robin

De gea eventually as the season goes will start every league and champions league game but now Lindegaard is a better choice for this game. Let de gea settle in and then he could start big games also. I don;t have issues with the goalkeeping selection , I have problem with giggs playing ahead of cleverley. Giggs in midfield is no better than Tom cleverley. When a cleverley is dropped in fav our of a 39 year old winger how come we can say that likes of powell or tunni will get games. I know we still have a better chance of winning but it won;t change the fact that playing giggs is a wrong decision.

  16. Marq says:

Im actually ok that Vidic is not playing. Liverpool only have Suarez and Vidic is not the best at dealing with nimble strikers. Evans will do just fine

  17. utd_fc says:

Vida is apparently out injured guys. Besides no other reason he’d be out.

  18. Proverb says:

    No vidic
    This is crazy, really!!!

  19. Mahesh says:

utd_fc: its not like this approach of playing with Giggs in big games/derbies exactly worked out last season eh? worrying if SAF actually thinks cleverley and ando can’t hack it…unless SAF believes they can’t handle the occassion today…

  20. Hans says:

    Come on United!!
    BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. cawitches says:

I love Giggs, but ON THE WING in place of Nani. Start Cleverly and Carrick. Fingers crossed on Vidic, no injury, no injury, please.

  22. Birty1987 says:

Where is vidic and why mess about with the keepers? Lost the plot

  23. giggsy48 says:

I would’nt play giggs soz or nani put scholsy and cleverley in what is fergie thinkiung of.

  24. Peter says:

    Captain Giggs

  25. Zibbie says:

The sad fact is, Fox Soccer guys are better then the old ones.

    Giigs 12 Steve 0

  26. Zibbie says:

    RVP will score!!

  27. Rednemz says:

The last time Giggs played in the Centre Park we had a nightmare…

  28. Mahesh says:

The de gea/lindegaard thing though – the positive is that we are now confused between two good goalie’s rather than confused between two crap ones, as we have been in the past!

  29. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

GOOD JOB PATRICE. Now let’s move on from this.

  30. Redial says:

Like most other guys on here, I find the presence of giggs in CM worrying. Most of last season, it never worked. And it creates that annoying feeling that we are (again) showing our opposition too much respect.

  31. Red Robin says:

    Ash

I always see De Gea is better than Lindy. Its easier to name incredible saves made by DDG than Lindy, isn’t it? But I think that’s what happening: Lindy for leagues, DDGfor cups. Let’s see if DDG will play against Newcastle on Carling cup.

  32. mig78 says:

I think the team in the first half (experienced) will absorb all the pressure from the atmosphere. We’ll put them to the sword in the 2nd half, with TC, Ando and Chicarito to do the job.

MU FTW!! GGMU!! and Let the game begin!

  33. Mahesh says:

    Well done United away support!

  34. utd_fc says:

who gives a fuck about the handshake.

we’re in for a torrid time. got a bad feeling about this game.

  35. kel says:

Just give De Gea his games. Oh my gosh. This swopping of games will only give them less confident!

  36. KVN says:

Would be good to see TC start, but he will prob come on in 2nd half. Evans should cope with racist guy.

  37. Strik3rr says:

I missed the handshakes, did suarez/evra shake without issue?

  38. Daniel says:

What is this?! No vidic no de gea I pray we wein this game.

  39. Mahesh says:

bloody nerves…nice start though – looking purposeful and relaxed…evra starting the game well!

  40. Ericdaking says:

    Any live streams guys??

  41. mig78 says:

evra has been caught off-guard a couple of time already. buckle up evra!

  42. mahesh says:

looks like all trouble is going to come with raheem sterling looking a huge problem for evra already!

  43. Proverb says:

That left back is as poor as shit

  44. Marq says:

Can Evra jus do a Neville on Sterling, and put in a tackle that sends him into the stands, that will give him something to think about before trying to come near Evra again

  45. RedCOPPEL says:

Evra being targeted … Nani so indecisive!

  46. mahesh says:

typical first half united performance so far…

  47. mig78 says:

    oh fuck! ferdinan injured!

  48. evisu says:

Evra has zero support from nani

  49. mahesh says:

great….expect carrick to go back to defense…ugh…

  50. evisu says:

Evra has zero support from nani.

  51. mahesh says:

as if we’re not having trouble enough…we now have a one legged defender on the field…

  52. mig78 says:

oh nani…when are you going to get your accuracy boot on…

  53. WeAreUnited says:

the linkup between nani and kagawa is great

  54. Joffrey Barathron says:

My patience with Nani is running thin. Another woeful performance so far.

  55. youCANTbuyTHISfeeling says:

Giggs, Nani, Evra…very suspect choices. Can understand Linde and Vidic (if he’s injured) but surely Cleverely and his hustle and creativity needed to be in there (and Buttner but i get why Evra had to play today)

  56. RedCOPPEL says:

Suarez drops off all the time…come on United!

  57. mig78 says:

yup mahesh, rio doesn’t look so comfortable right now.

  58. Dela says:

Not a good showing from us so far. Have a nasty feeling we’ll go 1 down before half time. not sure what fergie can do then besides throwing on scholes and chicharito (2 sub appearances at anfield, two goals). Other than that, there’s no reason we should be so bloody wasteful and careless on the ball. Please Rio hang in there.

  59. Norman-85 says:

    Nani is a lazy git

  60. Marq says:

Sounds crazy, but maybe Buttner comes on to play on the left & Evra center, Liverpool don’t have much height anyway

  61. WeAreUnited says:

were not using kagaqa van perie and valencia enough

  62. samuel - united WE stand says:

Not matching cup final intensity from pool.

  63. Norman-85 says:

I would love to know what Nani’s pass completion rate is this season

  64. samuel - united WE stand says:

Not matching cup final intensity from pool……

  65. mig78 says:

ooo bad position to give a foul evra!

  66. RedCOPPEL says:

    OMW…evra’s supposed to be experienced!

  67. mig78 says:

    norman, please…STFU!

  68. Joffrey Barathron says:

Shocking challenge from Evra there. What the hell was he thinking? We look terribly weak down the left side with Evra and Nani.

  69. evisu says:

Ops double post. We need to keep the ball, giving it away all the time

  70. Mahesh says:

Just slower to everything all across the pitch so far…expect that to change in the second half…will take 0-0 going into half time…

  71. Norman-85 says:

    Taxi for Nani

  72. RedCOPPEL says:

    Nani oh Nani…frustrating!

  73. nicky says:

Is it just me or do you also see that nani must LEAVE NOW????

  74. Mahesh says:

Nani might be terrible in his execution (and boy has been terrible today) but he’s also been the only outlet today…Valencia has been atrocious!

  75. mig78 says:

red card! take that bald head! hope evans is okay. damn!

  76. tom c says:

Jesus Christ buck the fuck up lads!

    HAHAHAHAHAH RED FOR POOL

  77. berbatunday says:

    YES!!!

  78. Shebangsthedrums says:

Oh f**k. Now anything we do will be down to the fact we played against 10 men. 11 v11, they’ve been better so far.

  79. WeAreUnited says:

why there is nobody who wants to attack?

    our wingers have been shit

    yesss RED

  80. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

We’re giving the ball away like it’s christmas. Thankfully it’s still 0-0

  81. utd_fc says:

REDDDDDDDD!! Thank fuck. Let’s try to do something now for fucks sake

  82. nicky says:

even the scousers are playing on our left…not a single move on the right

  83. Stratford says:

Nani is the worst player I’ve ever seen to have the privilege to play in our kit

  84. tom c says:

    COME ON EVANS!

  85. Mahesh says:

thank goodness for that..hope Jonny’s okay…but hopefully we’ll be little better against 10 men?

  86. Hans says:

So far we have been very poor. Let’s hope we use the extra men to good effect!!!

  87. The Devil in Me says:

Shelvey red!!!!…….now lets go stuff em

  88. D'GING€r PrinC€ says:

    Nani is shit!

  89. RedCOPPEL says:

    10…wow!! Big big decision!

  90. tom c says:

    suarez you fucking cunt.

  91. utd_fc says:

    Fucking diving cunt Suarez

And fuck off Nani bashers. This team is underperforming it aint just one man.

  92. Gofu says:

Witch Rio hurt, that foul may be more detrimental than I would like.

  93. tom c says:

    YEAH LINDE!

  94. mutusamy says:

FFS can we even string 3 proper passes without giving the ball away

  95. DirtyDevil says:

Nani has to go even if we release him on a free…yeah I know that won’t happen cuz of his sell-on value but he’s too gd wasteful with the passing and is a nonexistent defender…poor evra, he gets enough stick for his performances lately and Nani isn’t providing proper cover

  96. Stratford says:

I’m still not sure who should be sold first, nani or evra

  97. WeAreUnited says:

    Fucking diving cunt Suarez

And fuck off Nani bashers. This team is underperforming it aint just one man.

THIS IS RIGHT- SHUT UP SLATERS

  98. tom c says:

Carrick tries one from distance? YEAAAAAAH

  99. erikcoop0206 says:

Why is Nani in this game? He has given the ball away at least 10 times

  100. Keyser Soze says:

Nani’s biggest issue seems to be complete lack of confidence for some reason

That cunt Shelvey having a go at Sir Alex, the bald wank

  101. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

we MUST win this game now. No excuse again.

  102. Shebangsthedrums says:

    We half time ASAP.

  103. kel says:

The player is insane? Who the hell is him who got red card? Keep shouting and screaming. Its so funny. LOL

  104. tom c says:

    UNITED UNITED UNITED

  105. Shebangsthedrums says:

    Need half time, sorry.

  106. Keyser Soze says:

Fuck me, put 3 passes together!!!

  107. AlphaRS says:

Liverpool all over United the first half. I reckon SAF is gonna get that hair dryer out at half time.

  108. tom c says:

fuck Shelvey. Neville in the analysis? need him on the pitch giving it to Shelvey the bald fucker.

  109. g-man says:

This is fucking painful boys. Pass completion rate must be about 40%. FFS. Nani is having a ‘mare. Rio send too many aimless long balls. Again NO MIDFIELD.

  110. WeAreUnited says:

Maybe it’s the first half curse,

And we get better at second half, GOTTA say though, GIGGS OUT, cleverley IN

  111. Mahesh says:

That shelvey looks an absolute thug!

  112. orez says:

Being dominated by 10 man Liverpool. Our performances have been getting worse. Absolutely pathetic, no other words and no need to single out anyone.

  113. DirtyDevil says:

Haha, ya boi Nani is shit in big games and there’s no point in defending his play, while it is absolutely atrocious, until he improves…it’s fucking insane that the scum are outplaying us with a man down…once again the midfield is being over run

  114. gerkeo says:

prime example of oxymoron, scousers bleating on about justice for the past however long but continually booing evan and evra for somthing that was done to them.

  115. Sushi says:

What’s with bald people honestly their
The most bitter angry cunts you come across! Whys he having a go at SAF? Seems the cunt has let the media’s hyping of his mediocre game against some shit no body team give
Him a high opinion of himself!!!

  116. Costas says:

Awful. Good to see the Giggs experiment paying off.

  117. D'GING€r PrinC€ says:

Nani shuld remain in d dressing rum or beta stil, leave d stadium entirely.SHIT PLAYER!

  118. Proverb says:

Now let’s fuck hem scousers, there will be no excuses if we do not win this one

  119. kel says:

The whole team is playing lousy. Please dont only bash someone if you dont know how to watch.
Nani situation is he completely lack of confidence? He seems to lost his confident over the summer. He doesnt seems to dare to shoot and take on players. I hope he do find back his confident.

We should get scholes on or other midfielder on to make presence in the middle. Van Persie is alone up front and kagawa cant do anything right now. Valencia didnt even try to go forward and beat johnson.

  120. Wee Toms Fragile Ligaments says:

How hard is it to stay wide as a LM? Is there a reason why Nani continually refuses to keep ANY width through midfield?

  121. AntiScouser says:

Shelvey did what he does best, but apart from that prime example of idiocy, Liverpool were all over us. I cannot see us winning a game at Anfield ever again in my life. Our players are too scared to perform. I struggle to fathom why Kagawa is played in a physical game like this.

  122. Marq says:

No reason not to win it now, played really bad, but given a advantage now

  123. tom c says:

    GET WAYNE ON!

  124. Hans says:

Surely we are better than this. What it is going on? All we had was one decent shot at goal and a wasted free kick. We cannot string few passes together. What the fuck is going on with Nani today. We are being dominated by a team of plonkers.

Hairdryer time to bring some sense to our game!!!

  125. Rednemz says:

We aint holding and using the ball

  126. Costas says:

Valencia wasn’t any better than Nani imo. At least both guys have put in good defensive shifts. Says it all about this performance.

  127. tom c says:

    hahahahhahah.

just feed Kagawa, he’ll make his magic happen.
Büttner for Evra, Clevs for Giggs!

We are United, we got this shite.

  128. Joffrey Barathron says:

I’m still not confident with the extra man. That was an absolutely woeful first half performance. If we had produced that against City we would be 2 or 3 down. It’s like we’re scared shitless when we go to Anfield.

  129. Red Robin says:

Ok TC for Giggsy, Buttner for Evra will do the job on the second half. Chico for Kag after 70 minutes.

  130. theredderdevil says:

Ugly game, we r solid defensively but lack fluidity in midfield, should use tv7 wing more. nani is well, nani, frustrating, misplaced passes and poor decision

  131. samuel - united WE stand says:

We are united – it’s a team game, if we’re playing diabolical football then every single should be pointed at and solution should be found as a unit. I talked about matching pool’s hard graft and united have failed to do that and they certainly aren’t letting their ability to do the talking at the monent.

I’ve said before the game, i’ll take a scrappy victory.

  132. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

I think Welbeck will come on replacing Nani sometimes soon. And Scholes will replace Giggs. We need to hold the ball and retain possession slowing down the tempo.

  133. The Devil in Me says:

    Scholes/cleverley for giggs please

  134. Sushi says:

The fukc deserved the red look at his
    Challenge on Rafael earlier and
U can see him clearly say “fuck off” to ref

  135. Sunny says:

We are shit in midfield. With Giggs in midfield, Utd cannot keep the ball for 10 seconds. Its frustrating to see United struggle in midfield year after year without doing anything about it. Bring on Scholes

  136. Gopher Brown says:

It has been a shite performance, but it is entirely expected with the line-up and the turgid way we play these days. No surprises here.

  137. Moses says:

A very frustrating 45 minutes,we need Anderson or Tom on but would have loved to see d ginger prince if he’s up to it.

  138. Wee Toms Fragile Ligaments says:

Agreed that Valencia has gone missing. Any chance Sir Alex will bring on Cleverly for Giggs? Or will he stay with the tried and true of Scholes for Giggs at the hour?

  139. ronnykeano says:

everyone needs to wake the f*** up. Especially Nani. Shockingly abysmal

  140. thutudred says:

Definately need to see some changes and improvements

  141. EDCUNITED1878 says:

Carrick and Giggs have no sense in the phrase “midfield pairing”. They aren’t working together at all. The spacing between midfield and Kagawa/RvP is a huge gulf, thus everytime Carrick or Giggs get the ball, they pass the ball into a channel for RvP or Kagawa to retrieve instead of receive. Nani and Valencia aren’t in position to receive a pass as their too far away from the central midfielders. Poor spacing going forward allows errant passes.

  142. Joffrey Barathron says:

Jon Jo Shelvey is a fucking cunt as well. What the fuck was he doing when walking of the pitch?! Bald cunt.

  143. tom c says:

if we lose or even draw this.. fuck me that would be a right nightmare wouldn’t it.

COME ON NANI, only takes one moment of brilliance, have stood by you all this while, don’t let me down!

  144. Brooka says:

We’ve had some stinkers in the past but that first half performance must rank as the worst in recent memory from any Utd side. We can only hope for better but I hope Fergie doesn’t trot out the expected ‘the emotion of the day got to the players’ line if we fail to win now.

  145. friveluss says:

We’ve played so poorly this season I’m starting to wonder whether the team lacks ability or whether it merely lacks chemistry.

  146. Dela says:

My wish list… scholes on, chicharito on. After that fergie can decide between tom, ando or alex buttner. PLEASE RIO don’t go off. We really can’t afford it, against ten men or not.

  147. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

Madness Eric Wynalda disagreed regarding Shel-pee’s red. That guys is getting more ridiculous everytime I hear him talking. He should have been fired. His reasoning just doesn’t make sense. He said that both were coming for the ball.

That pee guy should have been sent off anyway, the first reckless challenge against Raphael was an easy yellow.

  148. Rednemz says:

    Scholes/Clev to come on

  149. DirtyDevil says:

Scholes, Clevs, and Ando need to get in there & try their luck…Nani is gone come January, never thought Ashley Young would be this sorely missed

  150. Ash says:

Wow that was a woeful performance from us. Lets buck up guys.

  151. Rednemz says:

Scholes/Clev to come on. We need to hold on to the ball

  152. DirtyDevil says:

Scholes, Clevs, and Ando need to get in there to try their luck…Nani is gone come January, never thought Ashley Young would be this sorely missed

  153. pablo says:

can still see us losing this even with one man advantage…..how fucking embarrasing would that be.would take a draw a move on….

  154. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

    @Dela

Why would you want Chicharito on the pitch? He’s not going to make a different if the real issue isn’t addressed first.

  157. parryheid says:

One substitution and this game willswing right in our favour.Get Buttner on for Evra they will be pinned back trying to cope with him.A very serious threat to them he is lets hope our staff recognize that. Go United.

  158. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

Listen, what last season can teach us is this, often time we bounce back on the second half. We did this against Wigan too.

  159. EDCUNITED1878 says:

Nani is struggling yes, but he’s trying to do something. If you’re going to look at Nani, you must look at Valencia who has been invisible thus far.

  160. Red Robin says:

Come on Scholesy. Here we go.

  161. samuel - united WE stand says:

Anderson and cleverley should have started, we needed runners and dynamism..

    WE don’t play together!

  163. DirtyDevil says:

    Great start…

  165. tom c says:

    that was shite.

    what the hell.

    cmooon UNITED

  171. kel says:

What the hell scholes defend on the right?
    No one marking gerrard!

  172. Hans says:

Great, first assist that Scholes makes – is for that cunt!

  173. mutusamy says:

Please let them thrash us 3-0 10 men so that the team will fucking get it into their thick skull

  174. Joffrey Barathron says:

Well we deserve to be losing. Another shit performance and like I said before hand I didn’t feel confident with the extra man.

  175. AntiScouser says:

Our enitre team can go and fuck themselves.

  176. Mahesh says:

combine to assist gerrard…even my keybords not working.

  177. tom c says:

Scholes for Nani WAS a weird one, has to be said..

  178. AlphaRS says:

    What a goal. The end.

  179. Gofu says:

    Joga Bonito!

  180. Keyser Soze says:

    Get innnnn Rafaaaaaaa!!!!

  181. Proverb says:

    Rafael the brilliant brazilian

  182. Joffrey Barathron says:

Hahaha where did that come from? What a fucking goal! Come on now United for fucks sake! Wake up!

  183. Hans says:

Fucking hell. First sustained pressure and we score.

    Come ooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn lads!

  184. RedCOPPEL says:

    Goaaaaal!

  185. tom c says:

in all honesty mutusamy has a point, we have shown no hunger or desire in a game as fucking big as this as we have shown the lack thereof in our other games, barring Wigan, so maybe this team needs to get destroyed so we can go rebuild, reform and go on a rampage.

  186. Iversen says:

    Amazing goal!!

Now please take a hold of the fucking game!

  187. The Devil in Me says:

    RRRRRAAAAFFFAAAAEEEELLLLLLL

  188. tom c says:

ha, just as I said it, too. come the fuck on!

  189. Proverb says:

Valencia got to the byline clear from everyone
And guess what he does…… [Fuck wit]

  190. Keyser Soze says:

    @Proverb

    Yeah, that REALLY was weird

  191. Sushi says:

Fuck u diving cunt god fucking hate Suarez

  192. Iversen says:

Giggs is of the fucking pace! get clev in there.

    Diving fucking cunts

  193. Mahesh says:

fucking take giggs off… get ando or clevs on…

  194. Ironbrand says:

We gon’ win this sh!t even though Valencia and Gigg are having a nightmare

  195. Rune the red says:

I love Man utd but I have to admit team selection is amazing me never the same 11 every match a different midfield and none of this can be helping team morale I mean cleverly has a good game next game in comes scholes no continuity and it is showing in our passing and end product. Hope he finds his best 11 soon Man U forever

  196. DirtyDevil says:

Our midfield WAS getting overrun…valencia and Nani cudnt do dick with the ball bc the two CMs hav been marked and taken out of the game essentially so wen we get the ball out wide in da first half they literally cudnt do anything except hit long balls…giggs and carrick dnt play well as a tandem in midfield and Scholes for nani has finally begun to settle us…cracking goal by Rafael too…wud love to see fletcher but he’s being saved for Newcastle

  197. Keyser Soze says:

    Ironbrand

    You broadcasting live from Tennessee?

  198. kel says:

Why cant carrick take on players or shoot when hes open in the middle??????

  199. WeAreUnited says:

    nice Rafael NICE

we should win this with many goals

  200. kel says:

Giggs and carrick cant play together, either we need scholes, anderson or cleverly~

  201. The_Humble_Gent says:

It’s tragic that SAF doesn’t have the confidence in his midfield, so he feels he has to play Scholes and Giggs.

Can you blame Pogba for going, regardless of whether it was for money or not.

  202. mig78 says:

we need youth in there Fergie. We need energy! C’mon!

  203. slayer says:

I am not sure what happened to united… Despite having the same team like few years back with great addition to the team, the whole team is still unable to perform. If united doesn’t perform constantly and overcome their shortcoming, they might lose this game…

  204. Curtis says:

Main reason we brought on scholes is so someone remembers to pass to van persie.. Lol this game is still there for liverpool to be won so we cannot switch off.. Will need at least 2 goals to win this I think especially with our defending

  205. Sushi says:

Difference between the scum and united. If
Our player got a Red card
For a tackle like that and acting like a cunt ferguson would be at th head of the queue and rip into him.

  206. Rune the red says:

Scholes settled things but gigs and Evra have been awful formation change and off with giggs for the rest of the season

  207. Sushi says:

Oh shit here comes world class Henderson!!

  208. DirtyDevil says:

We need to link the midfield and attack a lil better cuz the scum are fighting and wnt go away

  209. RedCOPPEL says:

We are not having it our own way against 10? Come on United!

  210. Mahesh says:

    thank lord slerlings off…

  211. mig78 says:

I’m glad the tricky Raheem.S boy is off. Phew.

  212. Norman-85 says:

which team has the 10 men?

  213. mutusamy says:

Liverpool still having the better of chances, we look to be on our backfoot even though they are down to 10 men fucking disgrace

  214. friveluss says:

Will someone please tell me how a team with 10men has 52% ball possesion?

  215. Joffrey Barathron says:

This had been a shocking performance. We should be controlling the tempo of this game with 10 men but they still look as dangerous as us. Evra has once again been a liability, surely Fergie won’t keep faith with him much longer?

  216. Mahesh says:

liverpool just want it more. simple as…

  217. RedCOPPEL says:

I’m not impressed at all…even winning it from here wud leave me a worried fan!

  218. DirtyDevil says:

Valencia has indeed been invisible this game but hasn’t tried to single handedly take on the whole scum defense only to look like shit…he’s been covering for rafael who wudnt hav scored that beauty had nani been on his side…rafa and Mr. Right Foot hav an understanding and interchange beautifully that yu dnt always notice until something like rafa’s goal or the PENALTY that valencia just won for us…GGMU

  219. Red Robin says:

Chico is getting ready for Giggs? Now, I’m hoping Kagawa will still playing.

  220. mig78 says:

    Penalty!

  221. RedCOPPEL says:

    Penalty!

  222. youCANTbuyTHISfeeling says:

Piss poor tactics by SAF, doesnt matter whether we win this or not, sometimes he’s as infuriating as Nani

  223. dubba yoo says:

Really don’t understand fergies team selection or substitutions today

  224. mig78 says:

    oh oww… penalty… I’m nervous…

  225. dubba yoo says:

    Never a panalty

  226. D'GING€r PrinC€ says:

Lord plz break dis penalty jinx 2day

  227. Gofu says:

Get him off the field already. Fuck…. I am too nervous about this penalty.

  228. Keyser Soze says:

Fuck the waiting must be killing Van Persie

  229. mig78 says:

    goal!!!! phew….

  230. slayer says:

Well, this team has been performing badly/ outperformed for quite a long time. I am quite surprised SAF tolerance on this team. If it is many years ago, I wager he might have put an axe to those who didn’t perform up to par. Perhaps his health does not permit him to go for hair dryer session again with the players. But looking at how United perform in the five matches, I think United might need to get some players in the market to address the weakness. Unfortunately, who can answer our problems is still a big question mark.

  231. Gofu says:

With a statement…. if Reina doesn’t touch that, it goes through the net.

  232. DirtyDevil says:

Guys brenden rogers is one helluva coach, his players constantly are moving and getting into position to recieve passes and interchange with each other, something we simply dnt do bc we expect our guys to get the ball and make the first man miss to open up passing lanes. This strategy is fine although I prefer the other tactic bc liverpool are still having the better chances to score…Allen has been a great signing for them, borini too, although sterling shudnt hav come off the pitch for henderson lol

  233. Sushi says:

Yeah keep going on about truth and justice
While your cunt players dive and whine begging for red card against united.

  234. Proverb says:

    That was unnecessary rafael

  235. CobhamHood says:

Refree bribed by Fergie. VALENCIA = CUNT DIVER

  236. Ironbrand says:

Are you watching this, Mersey side???? #MUFC

  237. DirtyDevil says:

I miss the days of Carlos Queiroz, we haven’t been the same since he left fergie’s side…his tactics were usually spot on

  238. mig78 says:

Rafael is off, welbeck in. I suppose Valencia will cover the RB.

  239. slayer says:

Keep the pressure onto Liverpool and defend well.

  240. DirtyDevil says:

Piss off cobham go bitch and cry to yur own scum websites, only proper fucking bastard reds can post here!

  241. goatinaunitedshirt says:

    Now that is JUSTICE

  242. DirtyDevil says:

We are going to win this thing but we need to overhaul our tactics big time and/or buy a fucking class CM who can make our red engine roar to replace nani in the first team

  243. Mahesh says:

3 point from a visit to anfield all that matters…

  244. WeAreUnited says:

BIG Respect for Van Persie for recognising the supporters!

He wen and thanked them and gave a shirt !

    HUUUGE RESPECT!

  245. mig78 says:

3 points, all that matters, comes May.
I’m glad i never wished “may the best team wins”. I’m not a football fan. I’m a Man.Utd fan. All I care is we win no matter how ugly it looks.

  246. The team that wouldn't die says:

Liverpool won the battle in midfield, but are so poor in other aspects of the game, we still won.
Very happy for 3 points, but leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
    Not a red
    Not a pen

  247. Marq says:

Not impressed. Needed a red card & penalty to win. God help us if we play like this against Chelsea or City

  248. CobhamHood says:

Fucking CUNT DIVERS.. and Bribed referees.

    GLORY GLORY REFEREE UNITED

  249. Proverb says:

    Great win
Valencia great dive lad, that will hurt it the scousers ass
    Finally a break through

  250. evisu says:

We didn’t deserve to win that game, lucky again. But i take 3 points at anfield anyday. It’s like united dont even want to win the game, terrible passing and no pace what so ever.

  251. evisu says:

Cobham yeah like Suarez dives into every challenge? That’s a CUNT diver, United have got TWO PENALITES at Anfield under SAF era(25 years), BRIBE YEAH? Go fuck off..

  252. lawman10 says:

Well that was a shite show from United.
A wins a win I know but come on!! When are we going to boss a game?
Whats wrong with Ando & Clev? They should be starting games if fit.
    Think evras time is up.

  253. DirtyDevil says:

Eric wynalda can properly fuck off…goals on Sunday said that wasn’t a red card…uhm, yes it was! Evans and Shelvey both decided to go for the ball with two feet…but it was Evans who got there first, admittedly without full possession when shelvey slammed into his legs…whistle, red card, fuck off scum cunt!! They say we get all the calls, my black ass!! Had Shelvey gotten the ball first it wudda been Evans sent off and rightfully so

  254. matt says:

hey cobham, it was a good game ay. im glad you enjoyed it as much as we did.

  255. orez says:

Never thought that I could feel this sad when we bit Liverpool in Anfield, but three points aside the feeling that your team is in real roth has been growing the whole season and this game made it even stronger. I can accept a lucky win and undeserved one too, but this was just too pathetic from our guys. SAF must see the issues with the team. They have been there for two years now, but he can’t do anything about it. I am at the brink of starting to question the management…very disapointed

  256. WeAreUnited says:

    good that we won.

    a Red? YES

    Penalty? No

But I don’t care, what others think this is our team and we aren’t the only ones that gets penaltys!

    CMON #20

  257. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

Remember people, the best way to handle a troll is to NOT feeding them.

  258. belfast red. says:

Our away support was fucking top class as perusal. Great result to get at analfield. We arnt playing good and we are getting the points. Im happy with that result.

  259. goatinaunitedshirt says:

    CobhamHood
Fuck off you scouse cunt. Suarez dived a number of times and your little shawn wright philips dived too. Now the game and aniversary is over Id like to wish you a happy “let off the hook” day or “justice for murderers day” whatever you call it.

  260. Brooka says:

I’m as rose-tinted a Utd fan as anyone but my god, that was horrendous to watch! The team shape and tactics left a lot to be desired. Two quality technicians like Kagawa and Van Perise completely isolated for the second game in a row. Like Wednesday, if our wingers have an off day then we look seriously short of options when we go forward.

That said, hopefully that will be one of our worst performances of the season and thank god we wont have to go to Anfield again in the league for another year!

How I’d love to give some of our lads a verbal rocket! Comforting things is that I’m sure I’m not the only Red who can’t really believe how we’ve come away with three points today.

  261. Gofu says:

Lol @ Matts friendly comments towards Cobham .

  262. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

    @WeAreUnited
Are you serious? It was a clear penalty. Johnson did not even touch the ball and that tackle brought Valencia down. Tell me how was that not a penalty?

  263. goatinaunitedshirt says:

    EricCantonaToldMeToTweet
Dont worry fellah, Im a goat, Ill have him off his fucking perch. Gruff gruff gruff

  264. Hans says:

The best thing about today’s match is the result.

Yet another frustrating performance from the lads. First half was awful. I thought in the second half we would control and comfortably win with an extra men. but as always we have to do it the hard way. Tony should have passed it to RvP or Giggsy. Wery nervous about penalties now. We nearly missed another one!

We are playing to slowly and very little imagination upfront!

I though Kagawa again was one of the better players.

I suppose, is better to win playing badly than play great without an end result, but surely going forward we must improve.

PS I hope scousers remain where they are now come May!

  265. mig78 says:

The other thing I noted is, we can probably convert Rafael to the RW position and Valencia to the RB. Just thinking… :)
He was really up for it when he scored. So pumped, determined. Which was lacking from most of the others.

  266. goatinaunitedshirt says:

Johnson should have been sent off. Tackle from behind and last man

  267. utd_fc says:

3 points today was nothing short of an act of God. He’s the only one I’m thanking right now.

Bad couple of performances, sort it out guys

  268. Dela says:

I’ll take whatever luck or decision we can get from Anfield, we have had nothing but a nightmare there for years.

As for the red, ye its a red technically because not only did he lunge studs up, he made contact with Evans’ knee. Still if he had gotten a yellow I wouldn’t complain.

As for the peno, I’d say yes too. Not only did Johnson have his hand on valencia’s lower back, he also clipped his shooting leg when he tried to take the shot. Valencia DID go down easily, but considering he had been impeded from shooting and reina had gotten back out to him, what else can he do? He was impeded but unless he hits the deck, he’ll get fuck all, its what the pundits always say, there’s NO RULE that says you have to stay on your feet if you are impeded, particularly by the goalkeeper.

Maybe we got a bit lucky considering our first half performance, but we’ve had NO luck at Anfield for five years so I’ll take that and be happy.

  269. Costas says:

It was a penalty. Johnson shoves Valencia from behind. Hence the lack of any complaints on his part. The red was a bit harsh when you look at the way Jonny dives in and the amount of actual contact made.

Anyway, won by doing the bare essentials. Not pretty and very dangerous if we think we will always be so lucky. Lessons have to be learned.

  270. WeAreUnited says:

    nicely put Brooka

I can also see that. why van Persie and Kagawa isn’t used as they should, as if the others don’t trust them or just doesn’t know how to play?

Today valencia was the better one from wingers, but he was shite still. As was nani.

Our wingers should do a bit growing and start playing better! CMON!

  271. Mike says:

Worrying, very fuckin worrying. Not a sarcastic question but can anyone remind me of the last time we really went and dominated a team? I am genuinely struggling to think who?

  272. Proverb says:

Less ‘Being Liverpool’, more ‘Being Relegated’.

  273. DirtyDevil says:

Yeah but why not wind him up a lil bit since we won. However badly we looked out there, we got the three points and they get to choke down this loss…other clubs talk abt how rooney is a cunt, Well suarez is a huge cunt but I wudnt mind him, Allen, and borini in our side

  274. goatinaunitedshirt says:

Im not frustrated with the play. I thought we played a very proffessional game. We were clearly the better side and it looked like a dads versus kids match. There will be parts of the game when the youngsters get a run together but there was always an air to the match that when they had the ball they had to break us down, when we had the ball it was more of a matter of time.
Congrats to Rodgers though, he is doing the right stuff BUT this run of results for Liverpool doesnt bode well. Liverpool the past 2 or 3 years have got results against the bigger clubs and failed against the smaller clubs. This year they are failing against the big clubs and they got fucked on opening day. Next week for them is make or break lose to Norwich away (or better still not win) then they look like the new Leeds United or Nottingham Forrest. The team too good to go down.

  275. WeAreUnited says:

    EricCantonaToldMeToTweet

    fair enough!

for me he came from behind, but somehow Valencia lost his feet, I don’t know, it was 50/50 for me.

But of course glad we had the penalty no matter what and won the game :) !!!!!!!

I’m a United supporter and I am happy to get the win from those scums

  276. Costas says:

I love Ryan Giggs with all my heart, but one of his greatest achievements is not getting subbed off after a performance like this or the one we saw at the Etihad in April. Amazing. Hopefully the Newcastle game will give Tom and Ando a chance to impress because we won’t go far with only 30+ year old midfielders.

  277. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

We always complained when someone is still on the pitch when they shouldn’t be.
And that happens 99% of the time. Shelpee is that 1% and justice was served tonight! I have no complain.

  278. belfast red. says:

We were hard to watch 2day “again” but the raw emotion at that match and how up for it l.f.c were, i think we done great 2 beat them. Anyteam would of struggled there 2day.

  279. sp says:

Fergie’s and his oldies time’s up too we need a younger manager who’s gonna heal the chronic disease we have in the middle with world class DM & CM and a manager who’s gonna play modern football

  280. goatinaunitedshirt says:

    Right Im off.
Cant be on here when some cunt wants Suarez Allen and Borini in our squad.
You are stupid to the point ………………………………… theres no punishment worthy.

  281. Red Robin says:

Great result, but not that kind of play that United used to play. Lack of movement from both of our wings. Except for Rafael goal. And we were against 10 men. Giggs shouldn’t play in the middle anymore while we have Clev and Ando. Our defense were playing good, Jonny Evans & Rio did the job. Evra is ok. Rafa is excellent with his goal.

We came from behind, I love this! The team has willingness to get the result. That’s the highlight fron this match. Its a good three points.

  282. dazbomber says:

Fucking hell I thought we won at Anfield

  283. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

    @sp:
Right, and look where Villas Boas is taking Spurs now.. worst than HRedknapp.
    You are freakin nuts.

And by modern football you mean Arsenal? Pretty football but hardly even challenges for the second spot? SAF has been taking the team challenges the top spot every SINGLE fookin season.
Your commend shows a lack of respect.

  284. WeAreUnited says:

    EricCantonaToldMeToTweet

watched the incident again and now I saw that Johnson pussed valencia.

    So I was wrong :)

yeah we won and I am so happy!!!!!! happy with our play? NO, but we won so let’s be happy.

Remember that derby games are more emotions than talent, so we fought in that game and won!

    #20

  285. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

Ok let’s face facts here. We were absolute GOBSHITE for 80% of the game.
Sometimes I wonder what exactly Evra does in the team. The wingers spend 50% of the time covering up for Evra’s mistakes. Now when going forward he’s not even that good anymore. What is he doing in the team? The sooner we play buttner in these games the better.

Shelvey red card was CORRECT. Let them complain as much as they like. They both went in but the key difference is Jonny GOT THE BALL and played it off Shelvey and shelvey clearly went above the ball studs into Jonny’s knee. STONEWALL RED.

The Penalty was also a penalty. Clips his heel and pushes him in the back.

But we have to step it up. Evans should be the permanent defender. the other spot should be a battle btwn rio and Vida. He was our best defender by a mile today. Rafael also did pretty well.

  286. Utd4life says:

What the fuck was that bald cunt Shelvey telling the Gaffer when he passed by him? Red was harsh but you are taking a risk when you go studs up for a challenge. Shite performance but a great result.

  287. belfast red. says:

@ mike we dominated arsenal last season i was at it but cant remember the fuckn date!

  288. EricCantonaToldMeToTweet says:

    @Weareunited:
Yeah, not only the push but the tackle was way off the mark. So it’s an easy penalty.

  289. WeAreUnited says:

    yeah I don’t know how I didn’t see that

I just noticed that Valencias was down easily and then I heard the wistle and forgot the incident agagag

  290. Curtis says:

Very poor united performance but let’s not forget liverpool were always gonna play out of their skins today..
We look so lost and confused, its almost as if we don’t have a game plan? I’m sorry to say but we do miss an assistant like carlos querioz.. Is it a coincidence that our performces in europe and big prem games have gotten worse? Don’t want to get slated but just find it odd that we can’t dominate big games anymore we made liverpool look world beaters in midfield and I refuse to believe that shelvy allan and gerrard are a better combo than carrick kagawa and whoever.. Its worrying we need to work on a style that suits our players cause wing play is not looking promising anymore.

There seems to be no response to our flat performces from the bench anymore..
We were very lucky today so can’t complain haha great goal from rafa.
And finally a pen scored ha!

Also glad to hear sir alex ripped into the team at half time, when asked what was said his response “you don’t wanna know!” Hopefully this is the last of such performances..
3points! And a good performace from rafael and rio..
Need to figure out how to get the best out of kagawa asap he will be the one to transform our team into a new era in terms of style much like ronaldo did

  291. EDCUNITED1878 says:

Rio was our MOTM. Don’t see how people are saying Evans was. After Rio took that knock on his leg early on, he stepped up and didn’t allow Suarez to wiggle his way around the box. He was very active off the ball as usual.

  292. pablo says:

shite performance brilliant performance papers tomorrow will show lpool 1 man united 2 3pts thats all that matters….midfield is desperate though………………

  293. samuel - united WE stand says:

Dazbomber – i’m fucking delighted mate, when last did we win at anfield?, they were always going to play like it’s a cup final. we weren’t brilliant but only the 3points will be remembered and we fucking got it.

We sure do need to improve though, we need to get better.

  294. pablo says:

    sorry brilliant result!!!

No wonder why goatina went off.. Borini and allen in the united side? You must be fucking joking.

  303. belfast red. says:

Havent got 3points from that dump since 2007. And that was kettleneck who scored. Another scrappy affair. They always are.

  304. Proverb says:

    Sorry about that triple posts
    Fuck!

  305. Mike says:

@ Belfast Red hi mate. Yeah that was really early last season when we did Chelsky as well. It was before Tom C picked up his injury when Nolan took him out at Bolton. I can’t think of any games after the Cleverly injury? Does seem to prove the point about a central midfielder.

  306. chica chica says:

Buttner can play as a winger with Evra behind him. Drop Nani for a couple of games to make him hungry.
3 points secured. Let’s move on to the next game.

  307. The Devil in Me says:

Thank God for the 3 points(all that matters)….but not a performance that will live in memory….yet to win any game convincingly

  308. matt says:

today was a difficult game, but its alright everyone, we always struggle against teams in the bottom three..

  309. Adam says:

All over the place today, very brief spells of good passing, lucky to get those points. We play like we don’t have a plan…gotta get our act together ..
Also, what’s happened to attempts at goal? Seems like we’ve been afraid to take a shot this season from right outside the box, instead continue running into multiple defenders or passing the ball back…don’t get it ..

  310. belfast red. says:

@mike yes mate you are right. Was surprised cleverly didnt play 2day. Him and Anderson had a great start last season then the injurys broke it up. Think if they are both fit id start them nxt game to up the tempo in the middlle again.

  311. orez says:

Arse are showing us how to play pass and move. Our players couldn’t string 3 passes to save their lives, BUt Wenger put out a tea on cheap that is giving shty run for their money

  312. mig78 says:

    matt @ 16:15,

we were alwiz awful against the bottom three. haha i like that. I’m gonna use that line at work tomorrow. gud one buddy.
