  1. Monica Bulker3 says:

Kagawa on the bench, as expected. This is the end of Moyes’ era…

  2. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

LOL who was it that I was telling that Giggs was going to start this game? Well there you go.

I’m really nervous before the game. I don’t know why but I am. URGENCY is the name of the game. Play like you want it and who knows? maybe they can prove me wrong tonight and get something to take with them to Germany.

  3. Gary Mitrovic says:

Kagawa’s 100% record against Bayern counts for nothing. And I’d rather Fletcher over Fellaini, it’s an eye sore seeing his name on the team sheet at the best of times.

  4. Dan Young says:

kagawa vs lahm is a missed oportunity. also welbeck up top is a bit wrong in my opinion too, him going up against rafinha on the left would have been one of our best attacking outlets for the small amount of attacking play we manage to get.

  5. Fletch™ says:

    Come on lads!

Actually predicted Rio! Gods give him a good game, Vidic is a surprise be we need a top game from both.

Rumors of Rafael injury appear confirmed. Jones better than Smalling.

Rumors of Buttner hamstring hopefully wrong!

Lads will have to play their socks off. Heads up! Play ball!

  6. Mitch Kramer says:

i guess with giggs on the pitch he selected toni V ahead of kagawa for his speed, strength, defensive abilities etc. bayern is going to possess the hell out of the ball so it is hard to imagine giggs having much in him after halftime. ridiculous that kagawa is not playing in my opinion, without mata or rvp available selecting kagawa should be an absolute no brainer. i’d prefer adnan got the nod ahead of valencia, but thats simply because he is exciting to watch play while valencia is the exact opposite..

  7. Fletch™ says:

No defenders on the bench again?! Unbelievable!

    No bother: ATTACK !!!

  8. Mav says:

Eh, I think this might be a mess.

  9. Fletch™ says:

Kagawa on the bench? That’s me mystified

Second half surely for Kags and Januzaj!

    Hopefully were in sight still!

  10. 16Legend says:

I wish with all my heart it wont happen but it is going to be another footballing lesson i’m afraid…

  11. Rukky E. Atebefia says:

Attack what fletch? This line up is unbelievable really. It has negative written all over, at home that shouldn’t be the case. God help us today

  12. Gary Mitrovic says:

Hopefully Fellaini has been practising his elbowing technique in training, his elbow on Zabaleta was far too obvious and he needs to be more subtle about it.

  13. Amanda Saleh says:

    Jones at right back?
    Ferdinand at Centre back?
    Fellaini vs Schweinsteiger
    Robben vs Buttner
    Ribery vs Jones
    Loooooooool

  14. Dan Young says:

we’ve won the battle of the benches, our bench is much stronger. says alot about the team selection though that those players arent starting

  15. Mark Reid says:

Fletch, instead of Fellani.Cant believe Rafas injured again every other week he’s hurt very prone to injuries. Not loving Welbeck up front either but what are you gonna do let’s go Reds.

  16. ashtheking says:

Shame to see kagawa I bench. He should have started. Januzaj, kagawa, Nani all are technical and flair players but none of them in starting line up. Anyways I still feel lads will give their best. Hope tony v has good crossing shoes

  17. Gary Mitrovic says:

What slight optimism I had has been thrown out the window. I can see it being a hatrick of 0-3 defeats at home.

  18. OAldiall says:

very strange line up. I hope it doesnt get ugly for us

  19. ashtheking says:

This selection shows moyes’s doesn’t trust kagawa one bit and that’s a shame. To play 4-4-2 against a team like bayern could backfire badly. He did the same mistake against olympiacos and my god we were shit that day. Where will the creativity come from. I would take a 0-0 boring draw.

  20. Jose says:

Cant help but laugh at that starting 11..it has negativity written all over it.
A three nil defeat will feel like victory.thats how much bayern will dominate this team of grafters ,workhorses and so called hard workers.
Kagawa last four games against bayern he had 3 motm awards.he was terrific against west ham and aston villa too but in moyes eyes he is surplus to requirements.
This is surely his final nail im the coffin

  21. Rukky E. Atebefia says:

    Very wrong to play Fellani

  22. AntiScouser says:

Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Giggs, Welbeck – he’s making it as hard as possible for them. Story of our season. Hopefully, Giggs can play one sublime pass for Rooney. Otherwise, we are doomed. Fellaini to get sent off after we go a few goals down.

  23. Blacksocks says:

I think it will be 451, with Welbz out left and Rooney up front on his own. Giggs will have the free role in midfield and he will be key. If he can get United moving the ball with pace we might have a chance but be fair, we have a lot of injuries. If we were top of the league but still had RVP, Evans, Smalling, Evra (suspened) and Rafael and Rio not fully fit then Bayern would still be huge favourites.

Tonight could be the night our season ends or the night it finally gets going – we shall see although I’m not expecting much. Will get behind the lads though…

    COME ON UNITED!

  24. Rukky E. Atebefia says:

I have feeling young would come on later on to add that needed stability.

  25. OpikBidin says:

we should sub Ferdinand, Giggs and Fellaini with Cleverley, Kagawa and Januzaj

    De Gea,
    Jones – Ferdinand – Vidic – Buttner,
    Carrick – Fellaini,
    Valencia – Giggs -Welbeck
    Rooney .

    to

    De Gea,
    Valencia – Carrick – Vidic – Buttner,
    Jones – Cleverley,
    Nani – Kagawa -Welbeck
    Rooney .

This is why I hate Giggs, make himself picked above someone who should be starting (Kagawa), even though his play against Pep’s Barca was was so abmyssal, leaving the midfield exposed and didn’t bother tracking back. Giggs will mostly give the ball away.

Fellaini will be scrutinized because of his size, and a card is waiting

Carrick is immobile, and partnered with Felli will show how slow the midfield is

Rio-Vidic at the back, gosh, we can only play a deep line.

  26. Blacksocks says:

One other thought – this is a tall team – Fellaini, Rio, Vida, Carrick, Jones and Welbz are all big lads, good delivery from set pieces might be our best chance to score.

  27. rvp is god says:

Pants down lads and assume the position were going to get a football lesson right up the jacksy I think

  28. united till i die says:

Fellaini to score his first goal today you heard it here first.

  29. Dan Young says:

opikbidin – after that stupid as fuck comment its a bit ironic your name on twitter ‘taufik’ sounds alot like too thick! what a fucking moron

  30. Gary Mitrovic says:

Blacksocks, well Moyes’s Everton were traditonaly a threat from set pieces. I guess he’s sticking to his home comforts there going on this team selection. Absolute joke that Kagawa isn’t starting.

  31. Mav says:

Giggs carrick and fella I, the geriatric trio (in terms of speed an intensity).

  32. OpikBidin says:

No Cleverley? ok, get Fletcher in instead. Why our CBs are so injury prone?

  33. wayne barker says:

pretty close to what i expected except Giggs for Kagawa and Danny up top, going for the more physical presence of Rooney at 10

  34. NefariousVirtuoso88 says:

    Setup to lose yet again.

We need a real spanking to get this manager out fortunately we might be in luck.

  35. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

People saying Fellaini is actually playing behind Rooney and not as a central midfielder. Well at least Moyes has stopped pretending to adapt to the United way and has chosen his preferred team. Fair play to him for that.

  36. Dougie says:

Welbeck how the hell did u miss that!

  37. Fletch™ says:

How ppl can be negative at a time like this is just beyond me.

Come on United! Lads putting in a shift and make no mistake. Support is 100% behind the team!

BTW Last I looked the Cleverley experiment was over.

  38. BelfastRed says:

Did us proud tonight. Still seething bout disallowed goal frm welbz tho. Fuckin robbed again!

  39. OAldiall says:

Great shift from the lads second half was nice i feared the worst but but the boys showed spirit and desire DM had his tactics on point too but he again picked a wrong player in giggs ainstead of kagawa all that talk about this team being shit is ball shit we have a top team all we need is a manager who gonna pick the right players play them in their right position buy the right players in the department where we need them and play football the rifght way then man united would be just fine
