    I normally like a fluid system of 3 wingers playing behind a striker. But usually away from home and without Berba at top. But you never know. It will depend on how much support the Bulgarian gets and how open Benfica play.

    I know Fergie said he was injured, but anyone has any updates on Anderson?

I was one of those patient people with our medical team but the situation is getting even on my nerves with our players dropping like flies.

    Anyways, here’s a chance for Berba to validate Sir Alex’ statements from earlier in the week. Normally, I would say we should have a great chance and play some good football as well. However, Young is just returning from injury, so you have no idea how he is going to be. Plus, Nani hasn’t exactly been setting the world alight either. Overall, I feel this will be more of a scrap but we should still have enough to get the 3 because of our players know the importance. At least, I hope they do.

    Agree with your comments, but as much as I annoyed with the medical team I still can’t let go of the fact that Fergie didn’t get one more midfielder in knowing where we would be if we did get injuries in midfield. This reminds me of when we had major injuries in defense 2 years back and we were playing Valencia and Carrick in defense. We went on to loose the league that year hope a make shift midfield this season doesn’t have the same results.

    And I think Costas is slowly converting me into a believer as far as our medical team is concerned. This season is proving to be the last straw for me.

    @FITB, Well, it wasn’t that case at the beginning of the season. I think that our performances will improve once we have a full squad – which looks like it may never happen. Until then, however, we have to keep on doing enough with what we have on our hands.

    Glad to hear you are coming around about our medical team. You’ll be the first of many I feel. :lol: I haven’t been on the internet a lot recently so I don’t know what’s up with Rooney. I hear he took some knocks at Swansea. The main thing now is to get him fit for the weekend. I guess that’s been my issue with the medical team. Not that players get injured. But that as soon as they do, only God knows when they will return. Fergie has a better chance of picking lottery numbers succesfully than getting an injury timetable spot on.

    Hope we play 4-2-3-1…. Nani will in all likelihood flop tonight as he usually does when he is played on the left.. A change from our usual 4-4-2 might do him some good… Alternately we could try playing Valencia on the left as an inverted winger. He won’t be able to put any crosses while running at pace during a counter-attack but Berba is unlikely to make it into the box to reach the end of any such cross in the first place.. Young has had success in the Left wing position despite being right footed, who’s to say Valencia won’t? We won’t know unless we give it a try though…
