Hopefully strong bench as well. GGMU
Rooney and RVP…..shit, I guess SAF is def not taking and chances with this league… I imagine norwich were not expecting this lineup… Come on utd!
It is!
Holy shit! that’s a bit of a mad one. looking forward to seeing how it looks though!
should rest rvp imo, but good team though, hopefully valencia can put in a good performance and still find the prospect of kagawa flourishing exciting, hopefully he has a good game too
Nani o the bench? crazy stuff, let’s hope he’s rested for the Madrid game.
well Let’s hope Valencia plays his best game ! great to see Kagawa back
UNITEEEEEEEED
why does nani need a rest if he’s playing against Real?
he has barely played!
Good strong line up , hope we can seal the game early so SAF could ring the changes !!!
Good strong line up , hope we can seal the game early so SAF could ring the changes !!!
and not really liking this line up.
we really should be resting our key players. bet ya ronaldo will be rest this weekend.
looking forward to the game. I was expecting Nani to start
@LucasUTD
well Lucas I don’t know, just tried to find something positive about the crazy stuff.
But I trust Valencia and that he will rise into the game. Stil ldon’t understand.
Otherwise GREAT line-up. Can’t see anything bad.
Strong line up….. delighted!!!!!!!!! Cleverly, rafael and Nani will all start against madrid
Strong line up. Its clear message to our rival what we & SAF intends to do.
COME ON UNITED!!
15 points is the priority, cant underestimate Norwich at all. Great selection by the boss. Come on Utd!
Love that Fergie isn’t fucking about with that starting XI. Importance of resting key players is far too overstated.
We should edge this one, score a couple of goals in first 45 then its then where we cn think of resting key players, this guys are professionals they shhould be fine for the tuesday encounter, first let’s win this come on you reds!
Take me home Man Utd . My dreams ,my hopes ,my place my everythings!
Go go!!!
Premier league is our number one priority this season.let us finish this game off first then we will talk about Tuesday.the lads should focus.
Great line up. I am fully confident that we will win today and also knock the virus out. This is a very important week for us. Norwich (Home), Real Madrid (Home), Chelsea(Home). We win this three games, we have a great chance of winning double atleast. This will be a make or break week for us.
As RVP mentioned he doesn’t like to be rested he wants to play every 3 days to stay sharp, same with Rooney he needs to play. Can’t wrap players in cotton wool just in case they get injured both will be much sharper against Madrid by getting a game today.Don’t understand why Nani isn’t playing coming off 2 decent games regardless if he’s playing against Madrid or not doesn’t need the rest and needs game time.
Anybody have a river for this one?
No Giggis?
I hope giggs doesn’t start against madrid. Emotions shouldn’t come to play. Giggs is best as a super sub and not as a starter.
holy crap!!
looks like giggsys starting vs madrid…fml….i hope he doesnt…please god at least if hes gonna play ,put him on the wing and not in cm against alonson and the others…no sentiment in big games
i beg you pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Looking at this team I can guess our tram against madrid
David da gea
Rafa rio evans evra
Clevs carrick giggs
Rooney RVP welbeck
Ooopps team I meant my mistake soorrry
Why is some freaking out about Giggs starting against Madrid he’s been one of Utd’s most consistent players in 2013,i don’t know if he’ll start or not but have no issues with it
Both BBC 5Live and SHOUTsport are broadcasting the fucking chavs of Chelsea. You would think that being the league leaders would be a match to follow not the Fat Spanish Waiter and the fucking racist loving Rentboys.
Let us wrap up the Premier league.standing 15 points ahead would certainly be a huge pressure for Citeh while travelling for Villa Park.remember we lost to Norwich earlier this season, so no under estimation.
full squad, week off, playing saturday morning and wednesday night should be no problem, Giggs and rio rested because of age, means everyone is available for wed, and Lucas something tells me Ronny will play against Barca at the Bernabau today. Mourinho will have to guess at our line-up on Wed. Masterful management buy SAF.
Wow Nani might be playing on CL. =)
I know this may sound like a strange statement, but maybe RVP needs a goal. He has gone what 4 games now, missed a few chances. So maybe SAF thinks he gets a cpl today and then his in top shape for real?
I may be looking for some sense here…. either way, I would have rested him. but I aint SAF and he had forgotten more about football than I will ever know.
wayne
hes 40 mate….to play him in a maid with carrick would be suicidal against madrid, you can get away with it in the league, but in europe no way….we played it against barca 2 yrs back, and we got tromped
we should play the same team that won in madrid, with perhaps nani coming in….giggs should be an impact sub,no more,if he was to play id put him on the wing…and that is it,
@ Wayne
Spot on mate, I think Giggs was our navigator this season in a lot of difficult situation.I believe if we can provide two strong defensive cover, he will outplay the likes of Alonso and Ozil.not making too much prediction about Tuesday though, all I want for today is the total 3 points.
Good line up hope we batter this lot 2day and get the confidance through the roof. Plus send a message to mankini that we are not taking our eye off the prem! Best manager my arse! Love how relentless Sir Alex is being. C,mon United!
as i expected but i put rio in the team
3 points
come on
So far Kagawa has been hugely dissapointing he really needs to get fit
This summer.
Come on lads… please don’t so many wrong pass.. it’s just Norwich and we are Man United..!
Lovely ando What a talent !
Also enjoy his marking air shadow and the referee skill
Barca, while Ronlado, Di Maria, Khdira, Ozil, Arbeloa and Alonso on the bench.in other words rested for Tuesday.a glimpse on the classico.
Rooney is not concentrating. All his passes are going astray and his touches are not top notch like they usually are. COME ON ROO!!!! WAKE UP!!!!
rooney has been looking so unfit recently…looks like hes put on some pounds…
kagawa wasteful..so overrated grrr
Why is Rooney’s first touch and dribbling ability not as good as it was?
cuz he a fat turd with low confidence
If this fuckers park the bus maybe its time for nani introduction
SAF definately prioritising the league.
we have been a bit wasteful in front of the goal and indecisive with the final pass .. one pass too many at times
Patience is the key!!!
Valencia and Carrick are our best players so far but Valencia needs to use his left leg sometimes.
Valencia has been below par again. Nani deserves to start ahead of valencia
We need Scholes.
A bit too narrow with our play and not stretching their back four… valencia is not giving the width that is being expected of him so far
Our final pass is poor. Valenicia times his crosses poorly, too early or too late, he needs to also vary where he crosses from.
If Nani would have played like Valencia today he would have been killed and benched immediately
when Nani plays 2 games very good and is back in form, he gets benched
something contradicts
Is it just me or is Rooney turned into a complete oaf? My god he can’t fucking pass, move or shoot
no slagging of rooney here .. but some of his touches and passes havent been upto the mark ..
If we had Pea on for Rooney it would be better, Rooney and Kagwa crowding each other out and its affecting their games, Kagwa looks the better bet.
Shooooooooooooooooooooooooot someone!
Kagawa’s been sloppy so far, same with Rooney. Valencia’s been alright for most of the half but his crosses have been awful. Have to step it up soon or get Nani on.
Second half may be Chicarito and Nani would change the game for us.
We need a proper left wing, Kagwa is not a winger, Evra having to do all the work on the left before a RM game.
I have to admit I am not happy to see so many players we need for RM game playing when we have players on the bench who can wing this.
GOALLLLLLLLLLLL well done Shingi
What the fuck did i see ?? .. valencia used his left foot??
Finally Valencia uses left foot and goal
Please rest players now.
FINALLY!!!! Valencia managed to use his left leg for the first time in 40 games and guess what, A GOAL. PHEW!!!
Are you lot actually watching Valencia at all or is it a case the fanbois want there man on regardless of the cost.
Rooney has stunk the place out unable to control the ball or even pass it. Get him off for Nani put Kagawa behind RVP he plays there anyway.
Finally, sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!kagawa.
FINALLYYYY
KAGAWAAAA
Bloody hell, that fucker snodgrass has been flying in with challenges for sometime now ..
great assists from RVP and great play from Valencia, FINALLY CMON ANTONIO, still this ganes screames Chicha and Nani all over
CMON
let’s score 3 more
finalllllllllllllllllllllllly
on another note…
rooney looking at least 2 kilos overweight,…noticed it from the real game at the bernabeu…wtf is he eating?reminds me of fat ronny when he gained weight back in his real days
lose it son!ur lookin too fat, affectin ur touch
btw…micheal carrick was amazing
If we’re ever lucky enough to receive a bid of 20 million for Rooney we should take the money and run.
happy enough but more to come. goal came from valencia no going to the byline but coming back inside. should do that more often!
I hope Evra is not injued, please Fergie take him off.
On this form for me Kagwa ahead of Rooney, he needs more games to get his form back
How the fuck is Snodgrass not off with that fucking challenge? and he’s even complaining after the challenge too. UGH.
I think we are playing really really well, composed, no worry at the defense, is DDG playing btw???
Didn’t see him at all.
great composure, we have gone a long way since the beginning of the season.
RVP great assists.
The only one who looks a bit out of depth if Rooney, unfortunately. Valencia luckily started to improve, but he’s been not threat. Anyway, we will score 1 goal, make the substitutions and score again 1 more.
3-0 for us
Kagawa obviously, Nani and Chicha to score!
Lads trying to walk it into the net need to be taking more shots,Norwich offering nothing 10 men in their own half and to slow for the counter break.Pretty tired of people having a go at Tony V he’s had a solid game, just because Nani hasn’t been picked not Tony V’s fault some of you lot are pathetic got issues with team selection send a email to Sir Alex but stop picking on the players.
zigoo if Giggs is playing well don’t understand what age has got to do with it mate.
@Lee
EXACLTY MATE! That’s why Nani is the one who should get the nod, because he’s not only a byline player, but then we understand the tactics.
btw is the link working mate? I myself installed acestream and am watching it in HD right now! install acestream and go click bloodzeed and voila HD
3-0
Rest – Evra, Vidic, RVP. Please.
Actually, rest Carrick, Evra and RVP.
I guess SAF does not rate Cleverly as much. Surprised not to see him or Welbeck.
@wayne
if that is a solid game, the shitty crosses and just stare at the opposition, then Nani is the best in what he does! so maybe we’re watching a different game mate.!
You prefer Valencia obviously cause for you that’s a good game,
and for us when Nani plays like Valencia is playing just ok today, we consider it good but you don’t
And no need to be so sarcastic mate, just watch the game, that’s not a good game from a winger mate.
Some expert needs to analyse white Pele’s touch loss. There must be something that’s changed, maybe we can fix it, right now, he is more of a box player for me than the No 10 role.
I still think Rooney’s best season was when he lead the line and was in the box, he is a very good finisher, personally its where I prefer him, that was when he scored the most and his best year.
What a player Rooney would be if he put in extra effort to keep in shape…what a player he would be! It has to be hard with his body shape, but I remember players with his same stocky build- Amokachi, Stoichkov, and Romario…they still had flair, great ball control and passing. #Sloppy.
@LucasUtd if you’re out there, you were right I was wrong mate. Ronny rested against Barca, also it seems our game against Real is tue not wed. couldn’t get anything right this morning. No matter who was chosen today it was going to be frustrating, Norwich parking the bus, Kagawa goal was crucial,
3-0.
I have been a footballer and I hated when defenders only pushed the ball away when they had a choice to shoot at the oppositions foot and out for a throw.
Why Vidic always does that, always chooses to put the ball out.
I heard that Rio has a Flu, hope he is OK for Tuesday:/
Again with the sloppy play FFS. Kagawa losing the ball in his own half trying to be skillful. Then he positions himself poorly allowing the Norwich defender to get the cross in.
Rooney playing higher up now, Kagwa central.
We need a left winger, Evra has no support, put Nani or Young on please.
Great defensive header by Evra, Norwich all over, MF like water, our tempo is shit.
Evra playing really well but at this rate he’ll be knackered for RM.
FUCK’S SAKE. How did he miss that? No fucking urgency. We aren’t 5-0 up. It’s still one goal. FUCK.
what the fuck are we doing with the ball at the back without passing it to the front players .. dilly dallying on the ball and not playing it quick
Evans needs to get in the game defensively and start carrying the ball forward quicker.
Evans needs to get in the game defensively and start carrying the ball forward quicker.
Carrick has been a joy to watch this season. I am looking at Valencia and can’t help but wonder if giving him the iconic No 7 shirt wasn’t a piece of bad man management.
Players sleepwalking now, need to sharpen up…maybe give a shot to the arm by subbing Rooney? He has been a passenger anyways.
Norwich growing in confidence, some dangerous passes into box, we are sitting too far back. Really need substitutions. Anderson has disappeared, contributing nothing at all.
RVP looks frustration on Rooney pass..!
Rooney WTF!!! Open your eyes. Useless letting ball run too many times without anyone there to get it.
So boring to watch. Just finish off this game
was expecting rooney to be subbed off .. guess just to keep rvp fresh for madrid game
Smalling playing quite well.
Take Kagawa off please. Get Nani or Young On. They’ll provide more width than he’s doing at the moment.
Carrick, Evra, Smalling playing well. Valenicia has flashes. Vidic ok. Rest hmmm
Why are we not keeping it simple. Trying to act smart rather than playing simple football
Cleverly for Ando please.
Yes 11vs11
Yes, Cleverly on come on lad, Norwich has put a couple of pacy forwards on.
Sorry but I cannot see Ando having a career here, laziest in training, it shows on the pitch.
Kagawaaaa
2-0 – yes Kagwa double!!!!!!!
Yeah well done moaing cunts slagging Kagawa. Scores a brace. Nice one. Miserable bastards.
PHEW!!! 2-0. Good play from Rooney. the best thing he’s done ALL DAY. Now can we get some Nani?
Brilliant ball fro Carrick on half way line to release Rooney, Rooney squared nicely to Kagwa, pass from Carrick made that, beautiful, cool finish from Kags.
Yes!
Kagawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
For the love of god…please give Carrick a rest.
Amazing Carrick:) MOTM by far!!! If he can do the same against The Virus we will be safe:)
Today is kagawa’s day!!!!!!bring on Madrid.
Carrick, Smalling, Evra. Our best players BY MILES. the rest have been sloppy at times but have done just enough to get the win.
Arigatou gozaimasu Kagawa Shinji!
Great to see a couple from Kagawa today will do his confidence wonders. Bring on Madrid.
Real Madrid also winning against Barca
BTW where is Costas, I miss him here.
12 points – can’t see Norwich coming back.
12 points I will say, 10 games left.
Kagwa HATRICK!!!!
FINALLY SOME SUMPTIOUS KAGAWA PLAY!!!!! That’s the Kagawa we bought from Dortmund. I beg for Kagawa’s forgiveness for me calling for him to be subbed off. That was brilliant.
Excellent. He is proving why he won the german player of the year award
Yeah Kagawa is shit and needs to get fit. Fucking idiots.
dannysoya don’t you feel silly.
Wow, for the reds slagging off Kagawa…quite embarrassing for you huh.
3-0
Welbeck did well, went to collect the ball from the defence, ran the length of pitch, quick short pass to Rooney who set Kaqwa up for the coolest of finishes over the keeper. I will thump anyone who says Welbeck contributes nothing because he does not score.
12 points in the bag.
Hatrick!!! I’m so happy for Kagawa! Omedetougozaimasu! Another game closer to the title!
ROOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! WHAT A HIT!!!!
4-0 Wayne Rooney is back!
Take a bow Shinji,
…and the match ball!!
Will that do for you . all you that are slagging Rooney off ?
What a Goal
What a striker, from a Welbeck pass, that is what he does best, stick it in the net.
Yeah while we are at it Rooney is shite too. Lets sell him if we can “get 20 million”. Thank fuck I am usually at game.
2-1 to Madrid – Ramos scored second goal.
Never change ,said thousand times before ,wazza always my no.3 !
Where are all the “Kagawa is shit and overrated” cunts now?
Fucking so many hypocrites. Before a ball is kicked you piss and whinge then praise those players when they come good. Does my swede in.
Brilliant strike from Rooney. Not going back on my earlier statement though.
For me Welbeck made the difference, more so than Cleverly who was an improvement on Ando, I hope people see what he brings now.
If you want to be objective and honest you will admit that Rooney did not get going in this game till the 60th minute and we were far from our best. Forget the slagging off, he didn’t play well for most of the game. Most of us were sloppy and we need to (and will be) more urgent against Madrid. Because we have scored four goals doesn’t mean we can continue to play this way in all our matches. That is if we want to be objective.
Barca denied a clear penalty, Madrid win.
@ Joffrey – Rooney has been played all over, but I think as lead striker he is the best, once he was in the role higher up it helped us and him and Welbeck and Kags linked well. Kagwa played very well behind Rooney.
I have to admit I am surprised neither Young or Nani played.
@King Eric
Well said mate, it seems that we have too many garbage fans here, always moaning like a child then suddenly when we score reaching the ecstasy.
Great match, and wonderful result. My only regret is that Chicharito has been shown the door out, like Berba last year, since he is now surplus to the team. I suppose he will be playing for Real Madrid next year, and I hate them.
Kagawwwwwwwwwa!!!!! What a player
Overrated my asss!
Look Rooney was poor first half, he made some poor decisions and touches but he grew into the game in the second half and that goal will help. He is a top stiker, I love seeing him lead the line, I don’t like seeing him dropping into MF.
knightsmith and OJM – Spot on lads. Make me fucking sick half these cunts. Wouldn’t know the meaning of the word “support”. Well not half these but certainly a fair few.
Every single goal has been beautiful, what delightful finishes from kagawa! Proving himself to the doubters.. Rooney 2 assists and a goal what a performance.. Defence was solid. Norwich without a shot throughout the whole game, easy 4-0 win
de gea was also rested
Brillient game from kagawa hat trick now starting to blosome into the player we bought him for ,,
carrick man I watched him closely today he is absolutely amazing doing the scholes job exccelently everything good from us went through him classs player ,,
Rooney he is mr.manchester united our driving force dont care what others say 2 assists and a absolutly peach of a goal ,,
Watch out madrid here we come we will kick your ass all the way to spain GGMU !!!!!!
Pea has not been shown out the door and no way would he start every game at Madrid, he would be on the bench like Owen there, he will get more games here. He would be a fool not to know that he is not going to replace Ronnie, Higuan, Benzema and start every game. Get a grip people, he is not at the level yet where he can start every match for a top team. He will get his chances, he has played in big games. He has played quite a lot.
I am so happy
I love this TEAM
even when we play “average” basically getting ready for the Madrid game, we play this good and win so comfortably.
Kagawa the boy, how anyone could doubt him? he wasn’t that good at the first half, btu after getting more central, his second half was perfect with a hattrick!
Rooney was disappointing, or was HE? scored and assisted 2. So a poor rooney is statistically great. That’s why stats are IMPORTANT no matter how your passes ore game goes, goals and assists makes you a player. GREAT.
Very good performance today, but a sloppu and careless one. Real Madrid is very very very very dangerous at the moment so we will have a great match ahead of us.
CMON UNIT!ED
thank God you cannot delete the comments. did someone say kagawa is overrated?
Easy win, United could play half dead and still beat this shit team. Real next!
@gexmex
It certainly does seem like Chico’s being Berbatoved, doesn’t it? When he can’t even get a few minutes in against Norwich of all teams, and with us 12 points clear of city, I think the message is becoming louder and clearer.
NBI – Oh no doubt about it mate Rooney’s best position is leading the line,
King eric – class will come to the fore, i did say kagawa needed time to adapt, physically and to the pace/rhythm of the PL but technically he’s got all the qualities, he’s one of those spanish type attacking playmakers and he does have a knack of getting goals from midfield as he showed for dortmund. United still need to adapt to his style and vice-versa but quality there but perseverance is needed. Hat-trick today, believe it he’ll be brimming with confidence and just before the extremely difficult real madrid game.
It makes me laugh how people bash utd players. Those who got on Rooneys back, I hope your now man enough to come back and say you were wrong.
2 assists 1 goal…… yeah hes fucking shit
on a side note: Shinja, welcome lad, now thats why you were a better purchase than hazard!
@NBI I AGREE with this statement, “Rooney has been played all over, but I think as lead striker he is the best, once he was in the role higher up it helped us and him and Welbeck and Kags linked well. Kagwa played very well behind Rooney.”
the “bad” thing is that we have 3 great central strikers who are at their best when they are the lead striker. Anyway Rooney and RVP can play also deep so no worry.
TOP OF THE LEAGUE BABY.
To be honest, I didn’t even celebrate today that much when we scored, cause I was so calm and knew we will win. Crazy
King Eric welcome to game day on Rom mate.
Lol Rooney and Kawaga getting the most abuse didn’t Rooney end up with 3 assists/1 goal and Kagawa a hat trick.Saying Utd or some players didn’t come good till the 60th minute is the nature of Norwich’s tactics.Ten men behind the ball is made to frustrate but as the game progresses players become mentality and physically tired.DDG didn’t make one save and the gulf in class between the 2 sides was a joke. Some of you lads need to watch the game in full before passing judgement because knee jerk reactions make you look like idiots
That was SHIT, so fucking SHIT!! How dare we win a game without RvP netting a single goal! WHAT THE FUCK.. we’re supposed to be a ONE MAN TEAM REMEMBER???? And what’s with De Gea having nothing to do because our SHIT defence are defending????
Manciniiiii.. are you listening??????
Shinnnnji Kagawa
Shinnnnji Kagawa
Wooooaaahhoo. Wooooaaahhhoo
And all that… I’ll enjoy my few drinks tonight
Some of you should make apologize to Kagawa mates..! Lol…
Hernandez isn’t being “berbatoved” Why would he be? Scores when he plays, top attitude. Its the BIG picture lads.
I didnt watch a game…but when i started to read comments…i thought that we loseing 4:0
Chicharito is going nowhere. He is still a vital player and he understands this. He will play against chelsea and if needed against Madrid also. Welbeck is not a pure striker so technically we only have 3 strikers
Evisu – it looked anything but “easy” it is the type of game that a second goal is needed to disharm their motivation to get forward. No such thing as a “shit team” in the premier league, fergie has paid respect to teams and laid out his best sides.
Sorry – we are 15 points ahead of City right now. Long may it last.
wayne , samuel and Dela – Spot on.
@King Eric
i agree, Chicha is nor berbatoved haha
he’s attitude is top-notch and he knows our history and Ole’s also so no worries
@KE:
welcome to “the matchday asylum”. Lol.
wow real beat barca with a reserve team
WOW, Who saw that coming?!
Well done Kagawa, well done Kagawa, Well Done!
4th consecutive clean sheet in the EPL is looking very very nice for De Gea and the defense.
4th 4 goal game of the season!
FIRST HAT TRICK EVER from an asian player in the EPL. Great performance from the entire team.
Massive 15 points again. Ha. That’s the Luck of United! Made in Manchester! Made by REDS!
@ King Eric – hi mate, I think Rooney can do a job leading the line against Madrid, he would give Ramos something to think about.
It may have been my imagination but RVP looked a little stiff in his running today, I hope that injury sorts itself out.
@wayne This was not just about the nature of Norwich’s tactics. Rooney’s passing was sloppy the entire first half and at the beginning of the second half when Norwich was pressing, his passing and positioning was ALSO sloppy. This is the way he played and I am pointing it out. I’m obviously happy he got two assists and one goal but he dare not play the way he did today on Tuesday for large stretches.
The same thing with Kagawa. I’m happy he got the hat-trick. It’s always nice but again for large stretches he wasn’t playing well. At the beginning of the second half when Norwich pressed they attacked down the right. Why? because Evra was exposed. Kagawa wasn’t positioning himself well defensively. This is the way he played today. I’m not going to point out something that did not happen. I have not called any of them shit or useless because they are both world class players on their day. I am only pointing the way they played today which I am sure Sir Alex will point out to them when they watch the tape later on.
A football fan should be able to be objective about his team’s and his players performances. I do not take back anything I have said previously. Call me what you want.
samuel: it was easy, united didnt even play good and if they were just sharper it would’ve been 3-0 after half time. How much did norwich create? They had won ONCE this season away. Sorry but PL is not what it used to be, its lower quality now than a couple of years ago. Of course Fergie respect the teams, would’ve been stupid otherwise but there are shit teams in PL, just look at the bottom.
I dont understand some people what were they watching really poor poor fans slaggging rooney ,,
I think in the first half some one touch football between kagawa,,rooney,,RVP,, was amazing if you think rooney had a bad game go to hell you dont know football
2 assists and a goal what the hell do expect him to do ,,,,go to hell you dont deserve to be a fan fucking slaggers
I predicted Vidic would start and am so pleased he did. Had a feeling that a clean sheet was essential in this game.
Namanja Vidic extends his record to 36 games without loss for Man United.
United are 16 Unbeaten in the EPL and 18 Unbeaten in all competitions!!!
Amazing!
mara – Yep mate you would think so wouldn’t you! Not winning four nil!
I am sure Maureen will be looking at how to crowd Carrick and stop him dictating, we will be doing the same with Alonso and Khediera. Given time and space like today Carrick is lethal. We played at home and I am sure SAF will rest him and wrap him in wool now. MF will be key, they have 2 quarter backs we have one, but we have better strikers, I don’t rate Benzema and Hinguan better than our strikers.
Both teams going in on the back of wins, RM will be pumped to have beaten Barca twice, very tough tough game, but we are capable of scoring against them.
@ NBI red onion, yes I agree with most that Rooney’s best position is up top bit with Van Persie about now that is highly unlikely as Van Persie is the better of the two. Rooney had a phenomenal season in the 09/10 season being played as the main striker, but he hasn’t been played there consistently since. To be fair to him he still scores important goals but I do get seriously annoyed with his form and lack of fitness. I’ve never really felt the same about him after the transfer saga.
dannysoya – I wasn’t meaning you anyway pal , just certain others.
@ dannysoya – in their best positions second half – Rooney leading, Kagwa in middle behind striker, they both performed well. I am sure SAF will note that. These are versatile players, that means they don’t always get played in their best position because of other things they bring, sometimes it ends up in them looking poorer than they are, but back in position you see why they are rated the way they are.
@King Eric. Yeah I don’t have any problems with you or anyone on this blog. I enjoy everyone’s opinion equally. Hopefully we play some inspired football Tuesday. OT will be rocking and let us hope it is one of those special Manchester European nights. Cheers.
Please don’t praise Madrid here..! Go away to Madrid blogs you shit..!
@ Joffrey – agree he was not fit earlier, his touch can be poor, but he still an amazing player that is selfless for the team and he has made the difference in so many seasons.
That contract issue came of back of him being shit in world cup and being separated with his wife, slaughtered in press for prostitution and form, had his agent in his ear, he was depressed and humiliated, he maybe just freaked out took it out on United and probably part of him just wanted to get away from England. What he did was wrong, but I think it was just a freak out, if he wanted money he could have gone to City or another team that would have paid more. Remember then there was the Glazer protests going on then and fans were pissed at the Club and we were not buying players.
great result
only worry for me is chicho…nt getting any time to play…i honestly thought he wouldve got half an hour out there todya
ando lookin unfit…and rooney despite his great second half performance looks a bit overweight to me
rvp on some what of a goal drought…i dont htink hes imposing himself on games as much as he used too,and should look to that as to gettin him back on track
well done lads
Im not scared of madrid bring them on ,,i think fergie has got a selection diliema after such brilliant performance from kagawa ,,
i think he has picked his team but will be interesting if he changes them or not but whatever team we play we expect us to strong go through GGMU !!!!!
NBI and Ash – Ten days ago I would agree with you on Hernandez. However, It now seems to me that the team will be playing with a formation that makes the pea redundant, with both Kagawa and Rooney behind RVP or Welbeck and Kagawa behind Rooney. My impression is that Hernandez is getting less and less minutes, just as Berba did last year. I hope you are both right, since I hate RM, but with both Benzema and Higuain on their way out, maybe the rumours on his move are right.
Ramos is a dirty player, how he got a way with that foul in the box is beyond me, we need a sharp referee to watch that shit like a hawk.
Kagawa will be even better next season – hell of a footballer. Play him from the start on Tuesday, better team player than Luis Nani. I thought Anderson was poor today though – he needs to sort himself out.
Danny – point taken but to be fair, players can’t be on their game throughout the entirety of a game, especially attacking players. You’ll get sloppy passes and balloon-ing of shots e.t.c but the quality players tend to overshadow those moments with class, players aren’t robots but i get your point and for sure, the performances have to get even better to hopefully overcome a top madrid team.
The Mexican media are having a field day with Pea today. Nothing but “He’s headed to Madrid” comments. Annoying really. I hope it doesn’t go to his head. He was ready to quit football while playing for Chivas to what he’s become now, a goal scorer for the greatest team on earth. He’s always said that if he plays 1 minute or 90, it doesn’t matter, its about United. I hope he keeps his word.
@Samuel. I agree with you.
@ gexmex – RM will look to buy Falcao or Bale someone similar, Pea will not be someone they really pursue, if he is there cheap they may take a look. But their money will go into a top top striker, possibly Bale and a GK. Here’s hoping anyway!
Kagawafuckinbunga! Who seen that hattrick coming 2day?? Get in! Ive always said it hes guna be immense for us next season. Or maybe even the tail end of this season. Waynes was a belter 2. Well happy for him scoring such a beautiful goal. Its funny how some people mainly abus say this team isnt as good as past United sides. Dont have the stats but 47 points outa the last 51 is fucking LETHAL! imo…
@Sparky
So you’re saying that Kagawa isn’t subject to that world famous “Second Season Syndrome” the way everyone said that Chicho was going to be? Remember when thats what everyone talked about during his incredible first season with us?
it would be a shame if we lost chicho..
this guy is as lethal as they come…u wont find a better goalscorer in the box
we cant afford to lose him,he will flourish in another team
the lewandowski rumours could be true, and chicho could find his way out
Oh and Chicharito is not going anywhere. Trust me, he isn’t like that. He’s much more level-headed than the papers give him credit for. I bet he doesn’t even read the drivel in the tabloids anyways. He understands the situation he is in at United. Going to Madrid won’t change it. You’ll be competing with Benzema, Higuain and Ronaldo. LOL good luck with that one. He will stay here and be a legend here.
Some slick football in the final third of the game today easy well deserved victory. Now on to the next
All is well in Manchester, even A.Young was kept fresh for Madrid.
RM have not bid for Pea, he is not the type of forward Maureen has ever bought, he likes his Drogbas. The Mexican press love Pea, they are mad he is not playing, its a story that sells, they can’t say he might be going to Wigan. Drama, theatre, love it. But if he does go, it will be a shame, but we have other options in the market and in the team.
What an uneventful day for DDG, wasn’t it? Thats the way I like it!!! I wonder if he had to re-introduce himself to his team mates since they probably forgot who he was.
I loved Welbeck’s usual Bambi moment. This time he even tumbled.
Think about it, would RM buy Falcao, Aguero, Suarez, Cavani, Bale, Wilshire or Pea? If they buy Pea it is for a mainly bench squad role.
Not quite sure how moving to madrid will yield more game time for him, they have a great squad and he’ll be squabling for opportunities. One of many ways to navigate the premier league is managing a big squad and sharing the game time around adequately, hernandez is part of that and he has started and left out of matches like others, it is a team game and united have to come ahead of any player’s happiness. The speculation in the media annoys me but when people start feeling sorry for players then i get baffled. Let’s be honest, hernandez has improved his all round game but it’s not near van persie’s or rooney, he tends to be more effective whilst off the bench but i’m sure he doesn’t agree, players want to play everytime but that is not possible.
Saying that I thought one of Nani or Young would at least play, both need games, I though Pea would start. I expect Pea to start against Chelsea in the FA Cup, he always gives them a hard time. Don’t forget we got big games post RM.
carrick was phenomenal today.a very important player to us.
@Lesbo
Different player, different circumstances, Kagawa hasn’t played enough to burn out like Chica did after his first season. Once Kagawa gets the tempo of this league nailed down he will be a major player. Reminds me how Pires 12 months to get going when he came over. Don’t think Hernandez is gonna leave us any time soon though (hope not anyway)
Anyway, this is a great moment, hopefully no injuries, and a big big game to look forward to. Lets dump Madrid out of the cup and Maureen out of a job. I will lose it if that silly cow does his running down the line shit.
It would be EPIC at OT on tuesday. DAMN! If only i could be there…
little cunt suaerez scored
rvp has himself to blame if he misses out on the golden boot….over the past 2 months his form has dipped and missed chances galore.i remember he couldve got 5 against everton.
How much did norwich create? That’s not the point, if united level dropped then teams like norwich will sense it and pounce, i disagree about the “quality has dropped”, if anything, it.s increased and the so called weaker teams have better scouting systems and good players that will punish you, it’s simple as that and has happened several times this season.
regardless of teams being in the bottom, you will find relegation battle, that’s football. I don’t think fergie will ever imply any team as “shit” he knows you can fall flat on your face at any moment in this league hence why fergie rolls out a very strong team for each game.

goals for anyone who’s interested!
We were lucky today, ask Mancini.
Some good goals today, Rooneys strike was a beauty, but for me the best goal was Kagawa 3rd. If Barva did that, the press would be wanking lyrical as we speak. A fucking sweet move!
Well done lads. We were too laid back for my liking, but all is well that ends well. It was a bit nervy til the second one went in! I though Valenica was again very disappointing.
I hope Fergie goes with a positive attitude against the fascists!! We should attack and let them worry about us. Their defence is there for taking!!!!
@Red Onion
“I expect Pea to start against Chelsea in the FA Cup, he always gives them a hard time. ”
That he does, but there’s no way he’s starting that game. For the love of Pete, when even the Norwich game is deemed too important to “risk” starting him, the thought of him making the starting XI against Chelsea is almost laughable.
Samuel @ 18:03: “he’s one of those spanish type attacking playmakers and he does have a knack of getting goals from midfield as he showed for dortmund.”
Yep. I watched Dortmund get schooled by Bayern in mid-week (in their version of the FACup) and it was soooo evident that they really, really, really miss what KagawaBunga brought to their party in the last two years, when he was their best player.
About Chicharito – he’s really being caught between a rock and a hard place. Scores when he plays but doesn’t get much game-time. Keeping him happy is going to be a massive, massive test of SAF’s man-management skills.
I wrote the other day in regards to the CR7-returning rumours that UTD have two HUGE bargaining chips in dealing with RM – one is, of course, DDG and the other is Chicharito. Both guys have HUGE up-sides and both guys have fantastic “commercial” value. Furthermore, I reckon that RM are going to find themselves in a tough bargaining position since running-down Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract changes the dynamic of negotiations against them because he could leave for free in the summer of 2015. The changes in the Spanish tax laws are going to be an interesting wild card in this matter. UTD, of course, have their own bargaining chip – the new kit deal makes it possible to make CR7 the new “face” of Nike worldwide, in the same way that Michael Jordan raked in zillions from his “commercial revenues”.
SAF on MUTV:
“Midway through the second half, I didn’t think it would end up 4-0 as I think we were a bit ragged for that period. But, when we brought Shinji into central midfield, it made a difference to us and he ended up with a hat-trick. It’s brilliant for him. The lad is a good finisher and his second goal was so composed and an intelligent finish while his third was absolutely brilliantly-taken. It’s been a great day for him.”
The boss has already expressed an opinion that Kagawa will be even better next season after properly bedding in, which is an exciting prospect on Saturday’s evidence.
“He got that injury around October-November and was out quite a while,” continued Sir Alex. “It knocked him back a bit but he’s gradually coming back and I think you’ll see a really good player next year.”
SAF will not sell De Gea. He may sell Pea, Nani, Ando, Young, Macaeda. Or even dare I say it, Bebe.
@george as far as I can say it was an improved performance from valencia atlleast he had some runs on the flank took on the full backs on some occasions I think he is growing in confidence ,,,,
in previous games he just stood still not in this one he was much more positive hopefully he gets back to his demolishing best
Also you need to consider that his being benched may also be as SAF is not too happy with all this he is unhappy, RM transfer stuff which seems to be being leaked from his camp.
Valenicia should get an award for using his left foot, that was his best cross.
Lol,,,, I saw, valencia cut inside to his left foot and got himself in good positions but just did not have any sort of confidence to hit with his left boot I dont know why he dosent shoot with he left boot at all ,,
if nani was thr instead of him in that position he might have got some goals poor lad just dont seem to get a game
If kagawa builds a little bit muscle he can dominate other players he has everything that a playmaker needs pace,,decion making,,eye for a goal,,deadly throgh balls ,,good too see a scoring midfielder again at man united hope he becomes even more deadly
Did someone say Kagawa is over-rated? Good lord @zigoo or whatever your his name is doesn’t deserve to be on here, you are everything wrong and fickle with the word “Fan”…exactly why i don’t come on here on matchdays geeez
NBI Red Onion @ 19:54: “SAF will not sell De Gea. He may sell Pea, Nani, Ando, Young, Macaeda. Or even dare I say it, Bebe.”
In the marketplace, everyone has a price – everyone has a value.
Let’s assume that SAF was able to put a deal in place to re-acquire CR7 for the equivalent of, say, 80 million. Let’s also assume that as part of that deal, the valuation of DDG was 40million and Chicharito was 40million so that he’d not need to stump up any ca$h, just, of course the additional impactt of CR7′s wages – which might be kept artificially low for book-keeping purposes because of a side-deal for image rights with Nike. Do you think SAF wouldn’t do that ?
The numbers in the paragraph above were literally “fantastic” – plucked out of nowhere – but they make the point that in terms of relative valuation, CR7 is worth MORE THAN DDG and Chicharito combined. When you listen closely to Fergy’s continuous and glowing praise of Cristiano, it seems clear to me that he’s not shut that door – he wants it kept ajar. Even given the gushing about TheLegend this week, it seems to me that SAF rates Ronaldo in the top three of his players – along with Keane-o and Cantona, although rating each for different reasons.
What would an old duffer give for a second chance – for five years – to get more Ronaldo ? I reckon that in his calculus, off-loading a very promising young keeper and TheMexicutioner would be consider a-steal-of-a-deal.
I’m not saying that he’d do it happily but I am saying that he’d do it in a NewYorkMinute.
Yesterday’s game brought smile to my face. And it isn’t happening too often these last few years.
But won’t dare saying much more before the Real game. Pretty crucial game for us.
@ King Eric – actually i never care to much about line up….who is playing and who s not playing. I only care how players play on the field. If they play good…doesnt matter. So you can t know that until they start to play…
Yeah, I know, it’s from TheSunOnSunday but get a load of this:
“SunSport understands United have already made contact with his representatives about a possible return and know the player is considering it.
We can also reveal that Real are coming to terms with the fact they may have to sell, with Ronaldo unwilling to sign a new deal.
He will have two seasons left on his current contract in the summer after which his value will start to go down.
PSG, backed by Qatari billionaires, will pay whatever it takes to get Ronaldo and will offer him £500,000 a week over five years.
United, who beat Norwich 4-0 yesterday thanks to Shinji Kagawa’s hat-trick, would raise Ronaldo’s current Real wage from £215,000 a week to match Wayne Rooney’s £250,000 deal.
But there would be lucrative bonuses and image rights on top of that.
The Premier League leaders are also willing to pay Real £60m and throw in a player, possibly Nani.
United’s major sponsor Nike, who also sponsor Ronaldo, are firmly behind the move.”
