  1. ashtheking says:

No mata. Januzaj not even in the bench, not so exciting line up. Anyways giggsy we believe in you

  2. wayne barker says:

rumors were true Mata dropped for Tom C,that came out about 3 days ago talk about a mole at the club

  3. Monica Bulker3 says:

Cleverley shouldn’t even be on the bench, let alone the starting line up. Is it because he’s a homegrown player like our class of 92 ? Hopefully not.

  4. Matthew Cassell says:

Would have preferred to see Evans in CB. Is he injured or just not in the matchday squad?

  5. ashtheking says:

We have four matches left with nothing to lose so what’s the point of playing a player who will be in Italy and a 35 yr old defender in rio. I expected a more young line up. And if i am nt wrong this is a 4-4-2 a line up that we were slowly leaving and changing to something new. No point of playing rio-vidic

  6. Nigel Macmillan says:

Very “fergusonesque” team selection. Strong though, working with what he’s got I guess

  7. oohahhrom says:

In response to wayne barker on the other thread.

“The way Sir Alex was taking in an article I read figured Giggs/Scholes/class of 92 would be a good choice to takeover”

Thing is, Fergie was wrong about Moyes. But most importantly, if wayne barker thinks it’s a good idea – it isn’t.

    You wanted Moyes.
    You wanted Fellaini.
You wanted crosses and more crosses, the only man on Earth to back Moyes to break the crosses record in that match against Fulham. No stretching or breaking through a defence, no, your simple fucking plan could only see balls hoofed into the mass of defenders. No stretching, nor creativity, just lumping balls in.

Now you want Giggs. Fergie – the most successful manager ever & you wanted Moyes, who’d won nothing to replace him. Now someone with no experience can do it?

Listen, if you rate it, it’s shite. Simple equation. Have you ever been right?

  8. OJM says:

I must say that this line up has left me a little bit flat. I was expecting to see Januzaj somewhere and Mata probably starting. I was also expecting to see Wilson or one/two of the other young lads. I’m also disappointed to see Cleverley and Young on the sheet.

Still, come on United, come on Giggsy!!!

  9. King Rooney says:

Cleverley starting? So i see Giggs is as retarded as Moyes then. Good god just get a permenant new manager and end this shit already

  10. edcunited1878 says:

It’s Norwich at Old Trafford ffs! See how they play as a unit. Same team different atmosphere.

  11. andysee76 says:

pretty disappointed with the line up i must admit. but fuck it…..i don’t care. juz give us a game to shout about.

  12. Dev says:

Going to assume Kagawa is the wide left player with Welbeck playing centrally, probably interchanging.

Now, where is that famous picture of Giggs and a very young Welbeck on the training ground…

  13. King Rooney says:

Fergie is senile and the club should NEVER EVER take advice from him again. Why can’t he just retire like every other old person does? Stop interfering!

  14. evered7 says:

I will wait for the match to happen. Thoughts just not materializing.

  15. wayne barker says:

already replied to you troll, some fucking loser who had to change his user name and is just coming on here to attack me and cause trouble fuck off you pathetic cunt, not interested

  16. Nigel Macmillan says:

Get your points about vida, rio, and Clevs , definitely a conservative line up, probably felt he had to go a little safe, he needs the win to appease us all. Can u imagine if we lose today? People will be creaking out! I think we will have to wait for pre season as usual to see most youngsters on pitch.

  17. Tai Gin says:

Well, this is a stupid lineup.

Giggs is a legend and all that but honestly this looks rather dumb.

  18. DeGeaWeTrust says:

really? cleverly starting, and kagwa shafted on the left, we need a change of systems, not playing the outdated 442 system, new manager same old tactics. But? we got nothing to play for. Still for me, janazaj needs to start some games, I will be interested in how the team is set up in the style and approach of the game. But giggs said, he wants 2 strikers up front, has reason why mata was dropped

  19. ashtheking says:

Giggs it seems will just follow in sir Alex foot steps, he will use his own tactics. No way should he drop mata. Imagine had ones done that, ohh ROM would be fucking livid.

  20. Nigel Macmillan says:

Let’s wait and see the the game before we all get too harshed out.
Hopefully Giggs has had a word in Clev’s ear and some magic will happen. Optimism…. Can’t hurt for now

  21. Dev says:

Guys come on let’s not judge until the at least until half time.

All the knee jerking is absolutely ridiculous.

  22. SebaLaBrujita says:

I’ll wait to see what happens, quite underwhelmed with the selection of Cleverley and Rooney, No mata!? and Kagawa out on the left AGAIN. Let’s hope we’re not brutally exposed for the umpteenth time down the left hand side. We’ll wait and see if Evra feels like putting in the level of effort and performance from a defensive perspective. Also what is the point of starting with Vidic now, when other players that are going to play a part going forward are fit and available?

‘Teflon’ Rooney must now be the most over-indulged player at any club in Europe now. The guy is a whole herd of sacred cows….

  23. United24 says:

Oops. GIGGS has already ruled himself out of MY consideration. Back to square one…we must have six English players starting regardless of age( Ferdinand) or form( Cleverley). And 442? PLEASE, we can’t get a FOREIGN manager in time!

  24. Dev says:

    Like my grammar, it seems.

Either way, seriously, let’s give it a rest until the first 45 minutes before raining down all that vitriol, shall we?

  25. United24 says:

@Dev, let’s be fair. If Moyes had presented this line up( and I’m no fan of his, never been), these criticisms will pale in comparison to the vitriol that will have been spilled by now…but I agree. I’ll wait till HALF-TIME

  26. Amanda Saleh says:

IMO it seems Giggs is still too friendly with many of our players and especially senior players therefore he can become an excellent manager for us but in a few years when the senior players leave.

  27. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

Proudest moment in the lives of Giggs, Butt, Scholes. From academy boys ALL THE WAY to first team coaches of the mighty Manchester United. Hopefully we can give them a win and help them enjoy these last four games.

  28. Matthew Cassell says:

How was the reception as Giggsy and the boys walked out? I imagine it would have been huge.

  29. dannysoya LOVES USAIN BOLT says:

At this point team complaints no longer matter. Sure I would’ve liked to see some players in this line-up but We’re not playing for anything anymore so I don’t really give a shit. Our season ended in January.

  30. Dev says:

Giggs trotting out with all the flair, grace and poise of a certain Knight…

  31. farthestofhans says:

    our final third…

  32. Tommy says:

Just reading the messages on here before the game even started all fuckling moaning, bunch of whining bitches who are never happy
