    Nani???????????????

  2. Dandivine7 says:

Giggs, what about Nani, Park should play through the middle. Anyway, ITS OUR NIGHT AND WE SHALL NOT BE DENIED!!!

  3. planetx6 says:

Berbatov should’ve started with chicharito coming on

  4. parryheid says:

Watch the last ditch tackles Rafael.Your time lads grab it

  5. Zibbie says:

Michael Buffer should announce the line up today.
    LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!
    GO ROONEY!!!!!!!!
GLORY GLORY MAN UTD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLAY LIKE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    No Nani?
    Glad I was not first.

  6. 3/without/killing/anyone* says:

2-0 United. Fantastic 4 at the back. COME ON YOU REDS !

  7. viv says:

No Berbatov? Top player in the leader with the most goals and he doesn’t get to play as a first choice?! I thought Berba and Chicharito were a better team than Rooney and Chicharito?!

  8. Vishal S says:

Not surprised with the line up. Hernandez wil kill terry with his pace.. 2-0 to united:).. COME ON UNITED:)

  9. CedarsDevil says:

Sir Alex going for goals tonight… Nani to come on for Giggs or Park as the game wears on.

    COME ON UNITED

  10. arminio says:

Why no Ando on the bench?! He’s a way better option than Gibson

  11. smartalex says:

    Come on United!

  12. smartalex says:

    Not First!

    Nice one Zibbie!

  13. unmesh says:

anything on nani? does this have to do with some reported comments about how Sir Alex has cramped his style???

  14. manci_yanky says:

not a bad starting XI….leaves us with some incredible substitutions to really wreak havoc for the last 30 minutes. 3-1 United. Lets avvvv ittt!!!

  15. Costas says:

Just a thought, but maybe Ando isn’t completely ready yet. Ferguson said something along those lines yesterday. I am more surprised that Scholes didn’t start ahead of Giggs to be honest…

I hope Rio is up for this.

  16. phildo79 says:

Carrick! Why? Play Park in that position and Nani on the left.

  17. Jon says:

    @viv

Rooney makes runs that create space, hernandez makes the best use of space of all our starters

  18. Jon says:

    *strikers

  19. WHAT??? says:

SOLID SELECTION. STRONG BENCH. Should see Giggs for Scholes, Berbatov for Hernandez and Nani for Park. COME ON UNITED !!!!

  20. DKB07 says:

Gotta feel sorry for the Berb

  21. FletchTHEMAN says:

Goood on ya Rio. Let’s show some spine lads. Fantastic back 4.
Fantastic attack: Valencia, Hernandez, and WR10!

Let’s have it then lads! Get Stuck In!!!!!!

  22. Drogahnus says:

I think Park’s ahead of Nani because Nani tends to be a little too flamboyant, whereas Park gets the ball and is quick to connect with other players. SAF seems to be going for more pace this time around, and Park would be right to start in that case.

  23. AK says:

this is a good lineup vs. chelsea away. valencia will annhialate cole. park will provide the energy. hernandez movement will free up rooney . if it doesn’t work we still have berbz and nani off the bench.

  24. CedarsDevil says:

    For some on here

For God’s sake stop moaning, either about Nani not playing OR Carrick is playing…

    Support the team ffs

  25. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Again I am surprised people don’t think about why Berbatov is not starting in this match. Terry and Ivanovic are not pacy players and playing Berba in this match will be to their advantage as they can hold a high line without too much trouble (Although not picking Berba in other matches is a different discussion altogether).

Rooney and Hernandez are ideal against them because Rooney dropping off means Hernandez has loads of space exploit behind the Chelsea defenders and none of them has the pace to catch up with him.

If we play like we did in the League game, I can see us nicking this one. However, Chelsea will be fired up for this one since it is their last shot at a title and will do everything in their power to stop us.

A scored draw would be great for us with a win obviously being the best result we could hope for. If we win, then that all but ends Chelsea’s hopes because I don’t see them having the mental toughness to come back from that.

  26. FletchTHEMAN says:

Hope the lads got a good talking to about this referee.
Gives out yellow cards for fun. Think that is why Scholes is on the bench :)

Hope Rafael and WR10 mind their manners!

  27. willierednut says:

Nani for Giggs at some stage, I think. No Malouda for Chelsea? That’s surprising.

  28. A-mol says:

good to see RIO back…we needed him…v got him..now we’ll see the capability of torres and drogba..try breaking Rio and Nemanja…Chelsea are screwed.. :)

  29. Leroy says:

no cover for right back on the bench could come back to haunt us. i love rafa but if he gets an early booking or picks up an injury (both which are highly possible) we need someone to bring on… Whats the point in having smalling and evans on the bench? Also, gibson ahead of ando- no thanks.

  30. 90+Until We Score says:

Really hope Rio gets a big game to put Terry in his place……Nani not in starting lineup is a shocker….dunno if he’s nursing a knock or is this some plan by Fergie….trust the master….

  31. T. says:

Come on you Reds! What, FUCK WHAT!

  32. Costas says:

Scholes is relatively fresh, yet he is not starting for this. Anyone wondering if this is a sign about him retiring?

  33. ManchesterMike says:

This lineup is dynamite, and the potentially lethal substitution options look even better, but i just have a sour about Berba riding the pine…

  34. Leroy says:

i meant both smalling and evans

  35. MG says:

    Right then

    I am very confident

Will pop in later – revising for child development exam tomorrow! I know some of us have to do it ;)

Good team – Nani Berba can be saved for later – just a little pause as far as Rio is concerned but if he’s fit – he’s fit :)

Come on Manchester United – we are right behind you!!!

  36. redyank@work says:

scott – are you going to be running a live commentary session for those of us who have to work?

  37. Colbert says:

Rio’s a very naturally fit guy, I don’t think he’ll have any physical problems tonight since he’s clearly alright enough to play. I just hope he’s focused enough after not having played for so long.

  38. willierednut says:

Rio will be the difference, if that bloody back can hold up!

  39. Kings says:

Mugoz – I think Fergie has gone with Park and Valencia because of their ability to track back and also snuff out the threat of their full-backs bombing forward. I had a feeling we would go with those two. Hopefully Nani will be involved at some point tonight. My only surprise is the return of Rio, largely due to his lengthy absence prior to tonight. Come on United.

  40. viv says:

    @Jon
Yeah your right, I do still wonder why they don’t play Berbatov as often as well though! :)

  41. parryheid says:

Either Hernandez or Nani when he comes on later will be sent tumbling in the box and this time we will get the penalty.Cole will be terrified to come out of defence get in there Tony.

  42. Colbert says:

Does anybody know when Fletcher will be back?

  43. Mannings says:

I still don’t get why everyone whinges that Berbatov isn’t playing. Hernandez and Rooney cause Chelsea all kinds of problems a few weeks ago and for me they offer a more dynamic attack.

  44. Baldrick says:

I think Balaji has hit the nail on the head. Pace up front could rip Chelski apart. Giggsy to start and bring on Nani for the second half. Fresh legs work wonders. Plus we have a packed schedule so spread the wealth.

  45. willierednut says:

They done well mate, but we lost the game. No point, in going on about it now, the teams picked and lets hope, they’re ready to go.

  46. smartalex says:

Colbert, Fletch is due to resume training on Friday, Apparently he is back to his normal weight.

  47. Chelsea fan says:

I see we are being underestimated. No problem.

  48. redstar says:

Scott, you forgot to identify the most decisive player of the match: the ref ; )

F*cking FA better not let the refs mess up this match. Ten times bigger than the previous match when Chelsea cheated to victory.

  49. willierednut says:

On a United blog, of all nights? Sad.

  50. shubhangmanred says:

Nani? Now that could be costly.
    *Slaps Himself*
Its SAF. He knows what he ’s doing

  51. fergie is the boss says:

viv – have you watched rooney play, just realise rooney aint gonna be dropped, he is uniteds inform player and he has started to score goals. Since the shitty game he has gone from strength to strength, the reason why berbs is not play often is he does not fit into the system fergie plays esp away from home.

  52. Kings says:

Chelsea fan – What like your boss is underestimating us? Fuck off you cunt.

  53. matt says:

    COME ON UNITED

  54. StatesideAussie says:

I’m a huge fan of Berba but this starting line-up makes sense to me, apart from Nani. I can see both him and The Berb coming on later, depending on the state of the match. Let Rooney, Park, Tony V and Hernandez wear the cunts out with their pace, then bring on The Berb to give them a different sort of problem to deal with just when they are physically and mentally fucked. Right…

  55. Costas says:

Ashley Cole will be happy to see Antonio again. ;)

  56. smartalex says:

Quite possibly the most pathetic of all Chelsea fans. Your team needs you, fuck off.

  57. fergie is the boss says:

Chelsea fan – you wish chelsea were underestimated. united and being underestimated hs been going on since the test of time

  58. willierednut says:

    Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  59. redrider says:

    Chelsea fan
    come here after the game.

  60. Kings says:

Great comment and and an even greater statement by that silly cunt Chiles, who’s guests are beetroot cunt Redknapp and goofy cunt Southgate: Comment – You must think Chelsea want this even more after what happend 3 years ago? Statement: Don’t wish you were involved in nights like these again Gareth? What the fuck is this cunt on?

  61. mig78 says:

Nani being left out for last 2 games. Does it has anything to do with him mumbling to the press that Fergie stops him from expressing himself in games?

  62. RedScot says:

Well done the Spanish referee. It does make a difference when there is no impartiality.
Well played Sir.Torres diving again. If you cant win fair cheat.
Yesssssssssss. On we go.The time is nigh.
