    My guess is that Macheda is given a last chance in this match to prove himself before being loaned off or sold. SAF commented after the Palace game that he is not fit……… i think if united is winnning by 2 goals, we should see macheda go on

    Quite the attacking lineup, basically 5 going forward 1 going both ways and 4 in defense, 2 of which who will go forward as well. No one can say we played to draw this at least. The pitch looks dreadful though on Sky right now.

    Macheda must stay at the club with Chicharito out or else we have no options up front at all. Already worried about Saturday and how fresh we can be for the Wolves game.
    Carrick suspended so he should be ok for the weekend but for the others it looks like they will have to give their all in these two games.
    Not at all nervy because for me PL is bigger than CL.

    Only concern is that the starting line-up does not have a natural central midfielder who knows how to control the pace of the game in the middle. Giggs, Jones and Park may be able substitutes at times but they’re not natural in that position.

    But Sir Alex did mention Benfica scoring a few goals against Otelul, so maybe the Beeb is right.

    Anyway, I think Benfica will win 4-0 tonight, and we will win 2-1.

    Over the weekend I speculated that Fletch might not feature tonight and there you go. Didn’t know our midfield options were so rich that we could afford to bench him on the biggest game of the season thus far. But then again, one CM is a natural defender and the other 2 are wingers. Plenty of options indeed. ;)
