He’s started one game all season while been 80-100% fit.

What’s are fergies thoughts, when he’s on the pitch (in very small doses atm) he’s looked really good. 4/5 of his passes are forwards and he’s hasn’t misplaced a pass all season.

What does Ando have to do to get some game time? He has been brilliant this season when he has had the chance, and still cant get a start. I love the gaffer but sometimes you wonder what goes on in his head. Anyways on the plus side, good to c TC23 back and the Fletch getting some play time.. Would have preferred Wooton over Carrick, rather groom a player than play someone in the wrong position.

I’m a big Nani fan too but something is seriously wrong here, if he cant get a start in a game like this. Love Chicha but would have loved to c Nani in there instead. Either way, its a pretty strong line up and I expect a very good game and convincing scoreline from the lads.

Em Marq. The second goal is a perfect example of why Carrick should ALWAYS be played in his normal position. Eder dragged him out wide, backed him down, turned on him, out ran him and put the ball into the box for Alan to score. most forwards are very quick thinking especially in europe. I expressed these early on but I was put down by some here for being a moaner. Surprise we have conceded two goals AGAIN at home for the second time in three days and we did not play any top class recognizable european team in EITHER games at home.

The two goals we conceded came from two things… Carrick in defense and Buttner at LB. Now, before anyone bites my head off, I’m not complaining. I actually would have prefered to lose tonight and keep Rio and Evra for Chelsea than win 3-2 with Rio and Evra in the team. We went in front and then started playing silly again and nearly gave it away again. Why cant we play it simple. 3:2 with 5-6 minutes to go, why play stupid passes in front of our goal?

I suppose Scholes will be leading the midfield, but we might need Anderson in good shape. I can’t speak for the others, but personally speaking there wasn’t a lot to cheer for in this game. I was chuffed for Fletch, Javier, the 3 points and that’s just about it. You are supposed to be wiser after every game. Especially the ones you win. This game posed more questions insted of answering them. Because we can all agree that Carrick isn’t cut out to be a defender. Yet he gets picked over Wootton. And our options won’t get any better going into the Chelsea and Arsenal games. Plus, it looks to me that Fergie is still confused about what his best lineup or formation is and going into November, that’s not a good sign.

Of course there was some good attacking football again and we turned it around again. Just saying that it won’t be enough all the time.

Totally agree with you mate, these are the games we should be learning from. Chelsea on the wknd wont be so forgiving if we give away an early goal. Other that today’s performance, they have also proved to be scoring freely as well. So we need to turn things around and tighten up in the back. Fletch is certainly looking a lot better too, hopefully he continues to progress

Am also a bit worried about us not knowing what our best team/formation as after this many games. I guess the Chelsea game will settle that as Fergie is gonna have to bring the A game.

I think this deficiency can be worked on, we have to sharp our focus and concentration. Carrick, apart from being easily turned and ran past, had a solid perform ance of intercepting, reading the game and bringing the ball out but let’s be honest, he’s no expert centre back, the sooner some of our defenders get fit, the better. I want to give a massive shout out to hernandez, he exhibited the hunger and drive which is borne out of knowing chances for him is rare and competition is fierce up front. Ran the defenders ragged, sublime movement, ran the channels, improved on his all round play and his finishing was typical. When he plays like that, the other strikers will know they can’t slack off, hope he keeps improving.

Fletcher was efficient as ever, gradually looking back to his best. Never going to bomb up and down but he’ll sit and solidify in front of his back line. His passing were crisp and accurate, could play a big part this season.

Rafael, again was superb. Does not give anyone coming down that right a breathing space and equally, he bombs up and down supporting. His positioning, readingof the game, tackling has improved. Developing into a top class full back.

Buttner is still rough and too eager with his play. His positioning needs to improve but the talent is there. Works hard and is very determine but hope can improve, not ready to displace evra but he’s not that far off.

Van persie was van petsie. Holds up play, great first touch and control, fantastic movement, very good passing, skillful and inventive. A pure dutch artist of a footballer plus a constant goal threat. That 24mill is looking well spent for,a ready made world class player. For all his ability, he does work very hard.

Rooney was industrious. Always part of the key moves. Creative force and looks sharper every game. He and RVP are on the same wavelenght, two world class players. Hope to keep seeing good things from wayne.

Kagawa was disappointing in my opinion. Maybe he was carrying an injury i don’t know but he showed that moment of class that can decide games with that assist, he’ll get better though hopefully, still adapting to our style. Fergie said he twisted something, hopefully he’s fit for chelsea clash.

Nani gets a lot of stick. Some fairly but some vastly exaggerated. He came on and added that potency and drive needed. He does try to over complicate things at times but he was inventive (watch his combination play with cleverley and then a crafty pass to van persie. He can still be a top class player, if only some aren’t hasty to get rid.

Cleverley was good but i’m looking for him to be better. Energetic all night but he does tend to look like a rabbit in headlights in tight spots on the pitch. His passing as ever was short and forward thinking but he needs that something extra to be a top player, whethet he has it on him, time will tell.

generally, another mixed bag game. Hate the fact we’re making things difficult with sloppy defending. Really need to eradicate that bad habit because against top teams, in the the premiet league and champions league like chelsea comingup,it will be a tough task. Need to improve and work harder defensively but going forward, we’re playing superb free flowing football not seen for a while but got to get the othet side of the game right, stop leaking goals

Sloppy goals continiously conceded have to be cut out, i think a lack of authority and responsibility at times from defenders from united is costing united. I think this deficiency can be worked on, we have to sharp our focus and concentration. Carrick, apart from being easily turned and ran past, had a solid perform ance of intercepting, reading the game and bringing the ball out but let’s be honest, he’s no expert centre back, the sooner some of our defenders get fit, the better. It’s very basic minded to call him “shit” though, because for every rooney, you need a carrick knitting things together.

I want to give a massive shout out to hernandez, he exhibited the hunger and drive which is borne out of knowing chances for him is rare and competition is fierce up front. Ran the defenders ragged, sublime movement, ran the channels, improved on his all round play and his finishing was typical. When he plays like that, the other strikers will know they can’t slack off, hope he keeps improving.

looks like our concerns have vastly shifted from midfield to defence..

but on midfield – I hope we start Anderson and Cleverly against Chelsea.. but seeing that Tom played today, chances are that we’ll have Scholes out there – and I’m sure that’s what Mata is hoping to see.

Agree,but holy crap, the boy ran himself stupid today..lots of energy from him. We’ll need more of that on Sunday, and more of the constant pressing that Rafa did today..seemed he was glued to the heels of their forwards.. excellent stuff.
