Following Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Stoke, David de Gea has spoken of his happiness with how the team played, and the increasing confidence among the players.

I’m really happy with the result and the three points. We put in a really good performance. Stoke didn’t create many chances and we kept a clean sheet. They are a great team and the Premier League is always a difficult league in which to keep a clean sheet, but that was the key. Now we need to keep this level up.

We tried to score as soon as possible, and we did that. We got the early goal and that made it easier for us. It was probably one of our best games this season, but we need to keep this level like I said before, because we have really good players in attack – quick, powerful, and they score a lot of goals.

We always have the confidence. But in the last couple of games we have scored three goals and I think it’s been really important to us, and given confidence to us to keep this run going. The victory is a perfect start, we wanted these three points. We need to keep fighting and playing like this, and for sure we will win more games.
