De Gea: It’s Special To Have Fans’ Support

David de Gea was voted player of the month for February with 45% of the vote on United’s official site.

After receiving a lot of stick from the press and some United fans, de Gea has done brilliantly well after losing his first team place to Anders Lindegaard, who then picked up an injury. He made incredible saves in February, most notably against Chelsea and Norwich, and is chuffed that the fans have recognised his contribution.

“It’s great news and it’s special to know it’s our own fans who have voted,” he told the official site. “It shows there’s a nice understanding and feeling between me and them. It’s proof that I’m doing something right and it’s fantastic that the fans have recognised this.”

Keep it up lad. Growing in confidence and stature by the game. Love the way he celebrates a goal too. Nice one Dave. We have a serious keeper on our hands here.

  2. Marching Red says:

I guess the fans have realized that HE’S A KEEPER!

    My work here is done.

  3. CedarsDevil says:

You certainly have the support of this old nutter David…… Your last few performances have been epic and I am sure you can only get better.

    Get stuck in

  4. David de gea spain's no 1 says:

De gea is a brilliant young keeper and will be one of the best keepers in the world just give him time, along the way he will make mistakes but he will learn and be the best. The squadfor the future united have is great De gea, Amos, Rafael, Jones, Smalling, Fryers, Evans, Keane, Fabio, Pogba, Cleverley, Tunicliffe, Norwood,Petrucci, Barmby, Cole, Lingard, King, Welbeck, Hernandez, Keane, the future is bright, all these players are under 24. :)

  5. Gorse Hill Red says:

Read somewhere that the United staff are trying to put a stone on the lad! If the boy shows more presence in the box during corners he will become a great goalie and we will be seeing him for many many years to come.

  6. SirAlex'sSon says:

Reading this almost brought tears to my eyes. Hello cedars…morning RoM

  7. MrKirie says:

Well deserved :) I think David will prove to be a wise investment. Top keeper who will only get better and better

  8. CedarsDevil says:

Having watched our beloved for so many years, I have seen so many players come and go… Some will always have a special place in the heart, others you thank and move on and some you’d think what on earth were they doing here in the first place.

Some players have the tendency to grow on you and give that extra special feeling, De Gea is one of those as far as I am concerned ……

    SirAlex’sSon

Hello! Where on earth have you been Mr Parrot! Hope all is well

  9. shorn says:

cracking good keeper, never doubted it tbh, only the knee-jerkers were freaking out, as always

  11. Collins obiorah says:

The young lad…is now living up to expectation and am happy for him.but he has to be perfect in corner kicks.i wish him more years at man united and the best in epl.

  12. James21 says:

You certainly have and always had the support of this Nutter too. some judged him over a handfull of games which is terrible, SAF and his Scouts have done alot of homework on this lad before they made their decision on VDS’ replacement. Lets just hope he wants to play here and keep Madrid and Barca from sniffing.
David De Gea. David De Gea.

Replied to you allon the other thread. Wondered where you all went and here you are schmoozing our Dave!!! Well done fella, glad you’ve felt that connection with the people who matter, the fans and I love the way you’ve quietly got on with your job while all these lazy fucks in the press write theirshit in the tabloids without even watching you!! Keep proving them wrong fella.

  17. Warwick says:

I was unsure of DDG to begin with – the last thing we needed was a goalie lacking in confidence being bossed around the box. But I’m taking to him although he does need to assert himself with the defenders. Have seen some cracking saves recently and if he could learn to catch the ball a bit more instead of punching it out to the opposition, I’d be a happy guy.

  18. Warwick says:

He was an easy target for lazy journalism

  19. Warwick says:

it’s all gone quiet over here!

  20. Warwick says:

Shall I sing a song for you?

  29. King Eric says:

Cedars – Posted to you on the other thread mate.

This kid could have shrunk and buckled under the heavy pressure and criticism but he hasnt. He has taken it on board and starting producing. Seems a mentally tough kid , he must be, and like Cedars says he is one of those that is really growing on me. Nice one Dave lad.

  37. Costas says:

  38. parryheid says:

  48. It's in my blood says:

    Afternoon all.

    bounce,

King Eric answered your question about ABU’s, allow me to finish off.
    Yes, they do shag sheep.
At every supporters club meeting there is a resident sheep whose only purpose is to remain available for a shag.
You may wish to converse further on this subject with our resident expert on the Sheep shaggers, Cedars Devil, who i’m sure will confirm this is true.
    Baa for now.

Watching the Liverpool- arsenal game right now… Szczesny’s been just incredible definitely top of the match
And I HATE Suarez, everything he does annoys me! He gave Liverpool an unnecessary penlty and just try counting how many times he fell so far, seriously it’s like he doesn’t have a single bit of balance!!

  51. Singh7 says:

    @Bounce
Apparently they dress the sheep up in a Leeds kit when they bum it . Also the make a little hole in the shorts so they don’t have to take em off ..

  52. Singh7 says:

@Lebomanc .. yeah Chesneys been awesome and they say he was on top of his game against Portugal during midweek….

    Haha, ya true
You with the gunners in this game? I am but simply cause I hate Liverpool! The arsenal defense is a joke though. And ya he was good with Poland and he got a clean sheet!
Did you see the penalty he saved?

  54. James21 says:

Bloody hell Sir Alex we missed out on Adam and Henderson. Shame on you.

  55. Singh7 says:

Lol yeah I hate losefool more than any other , when they lose its almost like Utd winning except for last season when they played the Arse in the 1-1 and yeah it was a really good double save by Chesney but that was fair cus the racist cunt dived for it ..

  56. Singh7 says:

  76. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Van Persie to United?
He’s been uncharacteristically fit all season long, maybe our medical team can sort the lad out.

    :P

No point waiting for City to slip up, if United do their job right all the way up to the last game of the season we will have beaten City, gone top by a few points and won the 20th with all of nerves shattered.

I just don’t understand it when United fans follow the games of City expecting them to fuck up, then get impressed by Aguero tearing up defences, later going on the web declaring “we need to buy to beat City”, since when has that been the issue, if we drop points and lose the league, its our fault and was always ours to lose. City have not been as great as the sides that won the PL in the past, Chelsea of 2004-06 was twice the team techinically and was good enough to take down Barca in those days. Shitty can’t even deal with a mid table Napoli in europe. The United side of 2006-09 was fearsome, how close are Shitty to that side? Not even close.

We’ve had big injuries this year and we’re two points behind. We have no Vidic, Fletcher,Van Der Sar, Rio out yet have been relentlessly chasing City and have stayed in fingertips reach of them throughout. After the comebacks against Chelsea & last week Norwich, Im sure City are thinking “What does it take to stop these buggers?” They’ve hit top gear and are only 2 points clear with Arsenal,Chelsea,Utd,Stoke,Sunderland to play, yet we’ve come through the hard times and have the easier run in of fixtures. We have also had our injuries problems ease and have adjusted to our losses incredibily.

    Its our to Lose.

    CMON UNITED !

  77. theboogeyman says:

Clint- Well said mate. When you compare the injuries we’ve had to what the bitters have, we’re much worse off, but STILL right up there with them for the top spot. I agree that we shouldn’t expect them to slip up, but it’s always fun, isn’t it? Haha.

I still have a feeling Bolton will get something out of this.

  78. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    theBoogey-Dude

just as you posted, I see on BBC Live updates Steinsen scored an owngoal for Boltoon
    This is fun.

    ;)

  79. James21 says:

Weather shitty are Top Middle or Bottom I want them to loose. I give them no credit at all and have no respect for Kun(t) Aguero, Yo Yo Toure or Fat ass Barry. Take the Money away and these mercinary bastards wouldn’t be within a sniff of the council house. We are doing amazingly well despite having injury after injury, no other team than Utd would have coped. Fuck Shitty and Come on Bolton. I’ll wager those Blue Plastic fans are there again.
    Come on Reds!

  80. Zibbie says:

How much is a stone in pounds?
DDG was a real good buy.

I see Jones at MF and so does Pogba, that is why he wants out!?!

  81. JC says:

Well done DDG. As far as the league goes, look at it this way, no matter what City does if we win out the rest of our games we will win our 20th. Destiny in our own hands.

  82. Zibbie says:

Rooney, Tom C and Jones will make up Man Utd MF. What I mean is when was the last time a team won the CL with a 4-4-2? When needed and for most top clubs they play a 4-2-3-1, 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 Man Utd success the last 6 or 7 years in the CL Rooney has played out left or deep striker or up top all alone. Dan W. and Lil Pea and another will be the strike force along with Rooney. And over the years as Rooney drops deeper in the MF Jones comes forward and by the time he is 25/26 he will be a forward force, hitting 12- 18 goals a year as well as 8 to 12 assists per year and bossing his space. With Tom C being the guy that keeps the Juggernaut going.

  83. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Zibbie – I agree with you on Jonesy.

The boy can play Right back and defensive midfielder till he’s become experienced enough to nail down a solid position which could take a few years. Then into his golden years of his career, who knows? He could become a centre back to add years on to his career life span like many Central defender/Midfielders have done.

Pogba wants out eh? Pogba what kind of name is that ! ‘ll wait then judge the boy, don’t care much with negotiations only the end result matters and its consequences.

  84. Zibbie says:

    Spot on JC!!!

  85. Zibbie says:

Willie hello mate, and I agree not much to spend this summer. But if you add the 20 million not spent on Nasri and the 12 to 15 not spent on Varnea and add that to 25 million!?! If the right long term targets come available I believe SAF will get them.

  86. Zibbie says:

Who better then Paul and Ryan to help Jones develop into a proper MF player?

  87. Zibbie says:

I swear when I 1st started watching the PL in 2003/2004-2006-08 I would see Paul and Ryan pass the ball where the kids needed to be then coach them after the fact. Rooney, CR7, Nanni Andro, Fletch ect. Could have been my imagination.

  88. King Eric says:

Clint – Spot on at 15.26. Did anyone REALLY expect City to slip up against Bolton at home? I didnt. Thought it would be 4 or 5. Mate also have to go to Newcastle and Swansea. They have some fucking tough games coming up. We need the win tomorrow though although a draw wouldnt be a disaster. 4 points off with 33 to play for including going to their place. Many twists and turns yet.

  89. Esteban says:

Pretty accurate assessment of the run-in (from a City supporter on the MEN website):

“The remaining games includes more real tests than Uniteds do.

Here I go jinxing the season with my predictions…

    Our remaing fixtures..

-Easy games (5) that should be 3 points: Bolton (H), Sunderland (H), West B. (H), Wolves (A) and QPR (H).

-Tricky games (3) where we could slip up getting all 3 points: Swansea (A), Norwich (A) and Newcastle (A).

-Tough games (4) where 3 points will be hard: Chelsea (H) Stoke (A) Arsenal (A) Man. U. (H)

    And then Uniteds..

    -Easy games (9) that should be 3 points: West B. (H), Wolves (A), Fulham (H), Blackburn (A), QPR (H), Wigan (A), Aston V. (H), Everton (H), Swansea (H)

-Tricky games (1) where they could slip up getting all 3 points: Sunderland (A)

-Tough games (2) where 3 points will be hard: Spurs (A), Man. C.”

  90. King Eric says:

Later Boash you no mark cunt!

  91. Saad says:

I wonder what AVB has to do to get fired?? Do a “John Terry” on Roman’s wife?

  92. fergie is the boss says:

Zibbie – united won the CL in 2007/08 playing basically a 424 formation, in the final it was a 442 formation

  93. WillieRedNut says:

Bend over like Bolton! hope they wander out of the premiership! Big Northern Irish man seen to Chelsea lol. Bye bye AVB! You’re not even a poor mans Mourinho! More like a poor mans Gary Megson! Great to see the dippers beat again! Suarez losing his temper a few times with his team mates lol. Diving dirty cunt anyway. What goes around comes around ya racist fuck!

  94. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    King Eric -
Im growing my nails to be a metre long mate, its going to be a nail biting few months so why invest in a nail clipper right !

;) Its all on us, Nani played 80 mins, Young 90, Chicha at Mexico, Welbeck playing 80 too, lets hope the freshness of Carrick,Giggs,Park,Rooney & the defenders can lift our energy levels to beat Spurs. They need a lesson, a proper one from a real club .

  95. SirAlex'sSon says:

Gets my blood boiling… BLOODY SHEEP SHAGGERS!!!

  96. keano99 says:

  98. King Eric says:

fitb – Hey up pal. Long time no see.

  99. King Eric says:

    “poor mans Gary Megson” Quality.

  100. SirAlex'sSon says:

    Come on Southampton

  101. Costas says:

Oh the Empire is well and truly back isn’t it? Fucked up right after they won the Carling Cup. Is that how they were going to emulate what United did back in 2006 and use the trophy as a launching pad? Because their response looks more like Birmingham’s from 2011 at the moment.

  102. WillieRedNut says:

    King Eric Keano99

    Cheers lads!

  103. Costas says:

Even if we don’t win the title, as long as Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn go down, this season wouldn’t have been for nothing.

  104. Redbilly says:

Singh 7- off topic. My other half is of Punjabi descent. She commented that every time they show SAF. IN THE OT dugout, there are loads of Sikhs behind him. Must admit it appears so.

  105. Redbilly says:

Great to see dippers and rent boys trip up. Bolton not bad only conceded 2 goals.

  106. Mozestic says:

Did any1 see Roman Abramovich with a cutlass 2day? AVB run 4 ur life…………..

  107. Sandeep1878 says:

    Good evening reds..

    Well said David…

    We always support you.

    ###

    Cedars, what up buddy,

    EPL – 2011/12

    RvP – 25 goals
    Liverpool FC – 30 goals
    :P

by the way, City cunts made a new record of winning first 14 home games in the league..A premiership era record..

    still, fuck them cunts

  108. Singh says:

Great to see the scums lose at home but Im getting worried about shitty city. I dont see them losing at all. They’re quietly getting result after result and barely conceding any goals. Why the bloody fuck do the lesser teams always perform like their shitty self against city but when they play United, its like a fucking cup final.

The way things are going now,i find it hard to see city actually losing to anyone..

  109. Sandeep1878 says:

    AVB – Asta’la Vista Baby :P

  110. Sandeep1878 says:

    Singh,

    Hello Buddy,

Agreed City are getting results, but their away performances have been poor or shaky, esp in last 4-6 games..

Once the relegation and Europa qualification battle starts, expect tough play from mid table and relegation zone clubs to perform well..

  111. Singh says:

    @sandeep

Hey mate,I dont know man,it seems like every week they’re just quietly getting it done without much fuss with their opponents barely putting up a fight.

Im getting a little nervous about it..

  112. CedarsDevil says:

    Evening you fuckers (Mike TM)

Anyone still doubts that my son is currently the best in the world?

I see someone was asking about leeds fans and sheep shagging…. Not only do they shag sheep for fun, they are the most vile, hateful, Munich chanting, awful bastards that ever existed….

Oh and they are currently 1 nil down at home… Come ON You SAINTS

  113. Sandeep1878 says:

    Dont be nervous pal,

we havent entered the real title run in yet :)

Our game at Council house will be the title decider IMO..

  114. Dazbomber says:

Nothing has changed we all new City would beat Bolton and we need need to win against Spurs . After Sunday we get the chance to catch and over take them . By the way United fan Rory McIlroy dressed in red black and white , soon the best golfer in the world will be a Red .

  115. Singh says:

    @sandeep

It just has to be,no doubt about it. And there’s no way SAF is gonna allow us to let them win it in front of us!

  116. Zibbie says:

Fitb it might have been a 4-6 that year. hehe

  117. denton davey says:

Costas @ 18:10: “as long as Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn go down, this season wouldn’t have been for nothing.”

Losing three Lancashire clubs from the PL would be unfortunate – especially since they’re likely to replaced by southerners.

Bolton are just terrible; I’m still amazed that TheLads lost to Blackburn – at OT, no less; but I have a soft spot for Wigan ‘cos they play a nice passing game and UTD have their way with them each and every time = six points.

  118. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

To think that he’s just 21. And all the fantastic years he’d be spending till he reaches his forties, hoping he’d spend them all here with us of course, it’s a real potential legend keeper in the making for us. Well done so far DDG, continue to prove the critics wrong.
On a side note, hope he’d bulk up more. For asthetic purposes too haha, looks too thin for me. Like how Fletch was a few seasons ago. But till date, Ronaldo’s transformation had to be the most drastic. From the scrawny boy to the big beast later.

  119. Sandeep1878 says:

    Hey Zibster,

    howdy pal? long time..

    @ DentonDavey,

I understand where you coming from pal,

yeah it would be cruel if those 3 go down..

though i would put my money on Wigan to stay in the league..cant dismiss Martinez.

wish Kiko went there on loan..bad move for the lad again..

  120. Sandeep1878 says:

    @ KOSE

But till date, Ronaldo’s transformation had to be the most drastic. From the scrawny boy to the big beast later.

    well said pal..

  121. Sandeep1878 says:

Loved Ben Foster celebration when McAuley scored the winner against chavs today..

    still a red :)

  122. CedarsDevil says:

Still having RVP Gasms here! Cheers to James for that!

  123. Costas says:

    @denton

Sadly, since I am not from Lancashire, I don’t see it like that. Those 3 teams have been around the EPL for a while now (11 straight years for Blackburn and Bolton, 6 for Wigan) and they just haven’t been good enough this season. Rolling over without a fight too often. It would be refreshing if we had some new faces in the Premiership, even if it means more travelling for us. Like Southampton whose last season in the top flight was 7 years ago. Not that fond of West Ham getting promoted again though mind you!

  124. Sandeep1878 says:

    TRIVIA
Ronaldinho once scored all 23 goals for his youth team when his side beat the opposition 23-0. He was 13 years old at the time.

  125. Costas says:

    @Sandeep

A young Jonny Evans must have been in defence for Ronaldinho’s opponents. :P

  126. Sandeep1878 says:

On this day in 2007, John O’Shea scored that 90th minute winner in front of the Kop

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJqs4OFsiKA

I fucking loved the celebration of Vds and RedNev..

    JOS..a true red always…

  127. CedarsDevil says:

    Sandeep

Ben Foster is dip shit mate……. Fucker bad mouthing the club in public

  128. Sandeep1878 says:

    Costas,

what next? a young De Gea was the goalie eh? :P

Evening buddy, whatz the count on Cuban cigars? :P

  129. WillieRedNut says:

I suspect we’ll see Scholes and Carrick in CM tomorrow. I would love to see this formation though?

DDG, Rafael Rio Evans Evra, Scholes Carrick Jones, Nani Rooney Welbeck.

  130. Costas says:

    @Sandeep

None this week. :) I am keeping a lid on them until the game at Spurs is over. If we win I’ll light one up and celebrate. If Berba gets the winner, I might light up about 10 of them, lol.

  131. Sandeep1878 says:

    Cedars,

Yeah buddy, him and PIG have been criticizing us publicly..dont know why we have some or the other problem with Goalies..

but just liked his celebration against chelsea today..that meant more than a WBA win for him..

  132. denton davey says:

Costas @ 19:01: “Those 3 teams have been around the EPL for a while now (11 straight years for Blackburn and Bolton, 6 for Wigan) and they just haven’t been good enough this season”

Leaving aside Wigan, it’s interesting that both Blackburn and Bolton used to be the-best-of-the-rest when they were both managed by Big Sam. AND, media-crap to the contrary notwithstanding, Allerdyce’s teams played a pretty attractive and effective style, too. He might not be as good as he thinks he is, but Sam Allerdyce is OK. I’d love to be a fly-on-the-wall when he brings Ravel Morrison into his office to tell that eejit the facts-of-life !

AND, speaking of the facts-of-life, how great will it be to see Woy get WBA ahead of KKK/LiverPoo in the EPL this season ? I was appalled at the way Hodgson was treated at AnFailed – but hardly surprised since there’s no realism or realistic understanding of how marginal LFC are now in the scheme of things.

When Roy Hodgson managed Fulham they played attractive and effective football; now that he’s managing WBA, they are playing attractive and effective football – so, to me, it’s good news for UTD that the remaining game against the Baggies is at OT whereas ManShitty have to go to The Hawthorns. A banana skin ? Black ice ?? I’m hoping that Hodgson’s team can play as well in that match as they did today when they absolutely smothered the RentBoyz, who were just awful and whose blushes (can RentBoyz blush ?) were saved by some heroics from Petr Cech.

  133. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

What about the bench? Give us the bench, give us the fucking bench! Dying with suspence here

  134. CedarsDevil says:

Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh when the Saints go marching in I wanna be in that number oh when the Saints go marching in

  135. Sandeep1878 says:

    Costas,

in that case, hope Berba scores a hat-trick :)

    Willie,

    how are you pal?

its a definite that Scholesy-Carrick will be in the mid…

This would be my line up…

    De Gea

    Rafael__Rio__Evans__Evra

    __Jonesy___Scholesy___Carrick__

    Nani_______________________Danny

    _______Rooney

But then, If Jonesy is preferred at RB or CB, then its Danny and Rooney upfront in a 4-4-2

  136. WillieRedNut says:

Or maybe even this? DDG, Rafael Rio Evans Paddy, Carrick Jones, Nani Rooney Young, Welbeck. Oh lordy lordy!

The bench for Cedars Van Persie? RVP RVP RVP RVP RVP RVP RVP! :)

  137. Sandeep1878 says:

    with ashley on the wing..

  138. WillieRedNut says:

Dirty leeds lose again! Sheep shaggers!!

Sandeep – Ok pal? Yeah, it will most likely be a Scholes, Carrick combo in midfield. Spurs line up will be interesting to me? They got spanked last week, so I’m wondering if they’ll try and tighten it up a touch.

  139. CedarsDevil says:

Sheep shaggers got well and trully shagged…. Makes this devil a happy chappy…

    Willie

Nice looking bench, never knew he had so many twins! ha ha

  140. Sandeep1878 says:

    Willie,

    all is well buddy,

Yeah, even with their injuries and suspensions, Spurs will be still a threat..

I expect them to be playing 5 in the midfield tomorrow to fill the gap left bu parker and probably Bale..

We need to keep VDV in the pockets and i would love if Jonesy would be given that job..

Our games at WHL have been touch, close, open ended and Giggsy has been brilliant against them..

Lets hope the magic continues and the legend will continue to rule the bloody football..

  141. Sandeep1878 says:

    Willie,

I also feel that we might play berba upfront with Rooney

With Danny and Chicha playing 2 games in the last 5 days, i wouldnt be suprised if Berba starts..

Because Rooney is coming back after a lay off and we know he needs coupla games..

That is the worry for me..

but Rooney and Danny will be the best combo

  142. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Don’t like it Willie :D

    I much prefer mine
    De Gea,Rafa,Rio,Evans.Evra,Carrick,Giggs,Park,Nani,Welbeck,Wooney.

  143. Sandeep1878 says:

We all could see a bad day in the era of football.
Portsmouth club could be closed once and for all :( after entering into administration for 2 times in 3 years.

  144. CedarsDevil says:

    Papii

Your line up is weak…. Where is Birtles?

  145. WillieRedNut says:

Sandeep – Good point about Danny and Hernandez playing international games through the week. Maybe Berba could partner Rooney, or maybe the latter up top on his own? That’s a decision for the boss. I think he will want to play someone with Rooney though.

    @Papii

    You could be right! :P

  146. CedarsDevil says:

Portsmouth suck dick, for today I am a Saints man i.e. their bitter rivals

  147. Sandeep1878 says:

Before the match between Arsenal and Liverpool…
    Kenny – Hey Arsene, I h8 2 be you.

    After the match…

    Arsene – Hey Kenny, I don’t 1-2 be you either :)

  148. Sandeep1878 says:

    Willie,

starting rooney upfront alone in a tough game, especially when he is back from injury, too much risky IMO..

We would need some one to partner him, as i said, Danny will be the best under the circumstances..at least he dint have to travel as much as Chicha did after playing a useless game on the wee hours of Thursday morning of UK time..

I still think Berba wont get a start..

any way..too many worries, hope the kick off comes early :) an early goal for us would give us more command and authority over the game, which was our trademark in the title run in in last season..

i expect the legacy to maintained..for it has started and dominated by Sir Alex – One Legend

  149. CedarsDevil says:

Alec (as Curbs refers to him) has lost the plot ages ago, he needs to leave today…. We need a young and motivated manager a.s.a.p ….. Just think of Henderson?

  150. Sandeep1878 says:

    Cedars,

    sell berba and sack Fergie..

  151. CedarsDevil says:

Over half our squad are below average…… Carrick? Nani? Berba? Do not make me laugh

I keep hearing transition, ya right…. Seems we have been in transition for 22 years

  152. TonyBee says:

Off topic& off the wall but funny as fuck,……

After being appointed the manager of Sheffield Wednesday, Dave Jones phones Gary Megson to ask for any tips.

‘Just the one’ replied Gary megson, ‘ if her age is on the clock, she’s too young for cock’.

  153. TonyBee says:

Well it made me laugh anyway………

  154. Sandeep1878 says:

‘Just the one’ replied Gary megson, ‘ if her age is on the clock, she’s too young for cock’

    Epic :)

  155. WillieRedNut says:

He’s losing it Cedars? Fergie out, AVB in! Mini Megson!

  156. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

AVP, or ART or even JVP all would do a better job….. Alec seems to have gone mental

  157. CedarsDevil says:

    King Eric

Sorry for the very late reply…. I did see your response from the other thread and fuck yes…. Its OURS!

  158. Utd4life says:

RVPFC beat Racistpool=Beautiful Saturday Morning. And oh, Rentboys lost to Westbrom. They are having a terrible season, aren’t they? Looks like AVB will be sacked unless they win the CL which will not happen so I guess, Maureen is going to be back in the saddle.

  159. WillieRedNut says:

Very quiet on the RoM? Only Cedars holding the fort? Come on, lets give the bugger some support! :)

  160. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

  161. CedarsDevil says:

  166. CedarsDevil says:

    Pissing off to bed…..

Come on Linda babe, Am I getting any?

  167. WillieRedNut says:

My official team for spuds? ;)

DDG, Rafael Rio Evans Evra, Nani Carrick Scholes Park Young, Rooney. I like Young having a roaming role just off Rooney. Maybe Welbecks run out for England will mean he gets a rest. Trying to predict the bosses thoughts on picking any team is tough going!

  168. CedarsDevil says:

Before I piss off, stop making fun of my son you wankers! hahaha

  169. It's in my blood says:

    Utd4life

Haha, thats a good one, Ngog!

  170. Utd4life says:

Wish I could chat fellas but I got work to do, Will see y’all later.

  171. It's in my blood says:

    Cedars

You mean to say you would rather go and do whatever with Linda than have the piss taken on here?
Bloody hell mate, this threads dying and you’d rather go for a…!
    Haha!

  172. It's in my blood says:

    WRN

Hi mate, i think you’ve just called the actual team!
Perhaps the Great One might slot PJ in somewhere but i’m struggling to see the formation if he does.

  173. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

I wouldn’t mind Young Behind Rooney, it works for Ingurland.

Wait a minute, how is Young so great for Ingurand?
He’s like the star-man, refresh your memories lads, he’s like their top goalscorer in 2011 and his name is always shining up during internationals.

I would NOW hate it if england did well with United lads being the squad, then taking credit for SAF’s work.

  174. Mikekelly12 says:

Villa could have hade a Young Bent and Keane forward line had Sir Alex not signed Ashley…. Just saying.

  175. WillieRedNut says:

It’s in my blood – Fergie might be tempted to start with Park? He always seems to perform in the big games. I think he likes his industry and ability to stick to any game plan.

  176. It's in my blood says:

    Mikekelly12

Haha, there was once an Algerian player called Ars Bandeet who could have slotted into that line up.
    Just saying.

  177. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

Evening all really looking forward to tomorrow’s games.

  178. It's in my blood says:

    WRN

I started off wondering how to differ from you re the line up….but struggled!
I think Park will play, as you said he’s disciplined in doing exactly what SAF orders..

  179. Mikekelly12 says:

    It’s in my blood
Ian Wright was rumoured to be moving to Algeria, a Wright Ass Bandeet front line!

  180. It's in my blood says:

    Giggs12Gerrard0

    Hi mate, yeah, big time!
A serious performance wouldn’t go amiss as well, but a lousy performance and 3 points will do just as much!

  181. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

Best form of defense against spurs is attack. Young and Nani on the flanks and I think the pea will get the nod tomorrow.

  182. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    It’s in my blood

Absolutely mate it’s all about the three points from the remaining games. Win first look pretty second.

Where is king Eric tonight I bet he is enjoying his daddy night off.

    United united united

  183. It's in my blood says:

    Mikekelly12

    Hahaha!!
    Excellent stuff!
Thankfully that line up wouldn’t leave much room for Uwe Fuchs, Segar Bastard or Two-Boys Gladstone Gamede.
But there might have been room for a sub, Paraguayan veteran Chiqui Arce.

  184. It's in my blood says:

    Giggs12

I didn’t know King Eric was getting a night off!
In fact, i was beginning to think i’m the only twat left with no social life whatsoever, its been dead on here!
But then WRN popped up and i was glad to see that there just maybe someone else equally sad!
    Haha!
Oh yes, Mike12 has been on now that he’s done his chores!

  185. MG says:

    Time to give Cedars support.

Oh look appropriately Cedars has gone to drool into dream mode over RVP.

    Just my luck

  186. It's in my blood says:

Does anyone know how long Chico played for the other night and when did he get back?
Wellbred might just be feeling the pace a bit, so yes, possible Chico’ll get the nod ahead of him depending on the above.

  187. MG says:

You know what even I was an RVP fan today after he stuck it up the racist scousers backsides.

    RVP! RVP! RVP!

    Get in RVP!

  188. Denton Davey says:

WillieRedNut @ 21:29 – basically it’s impossible to”guess” SAF’s team-sheet. I gave up a while back – one thing to keep in mind, ThreeLungPark hasn’t played much lately in the EPL. My reckoning is that he’ll ride Giggs/Scholes a lot down the stretch-run while TheWayneBoy, Michael Carrick, Patrice Evra and Rio will play whenever they’re fit.

  189. MG says:

    Forgot the smiley

    RVP!

  190. It's in my blood says:

    WRN

    Spotted that earlier mate.
You’ve got to feel for him though, he needs games desperately and it looks highly unlikely he’ll get them under Hughes.
This loan deal is going tits up rapidly!

  191. It's in my blood says:

    MG

Hi mate, no doubt he’s at the peak of his game right now but i’ll have you a bet he’ll be injured again shortly!
We just like winding Cedars up!

  192. MG says:

    It’s in my blood

Nah mate he’s going to be signing for United in the summer and never going to get injured again and Cedars is going to be over the moon when it happens and we won’t sign another midfielder because of it

So we’re back to 90′s United in trying to outscore the opposition

SAF and Cedars with there bloody striker infatuations for all different reasons

  193. WillieRedNut says:

That’s why Kiko’s pissed off? He can’t understand how a squirrel can get a game before him! Fucking nuts Kiko!

  194. It's in my blood says:

    MG

    Haha!
I’ll bare my arse in B&Q if he comes to United!
Can you imagine Wengers reaction / face if there was even a possibility of it?

  195. Costas says:

QPR was an even bigger waste of time for Macheda than Sampdoria. Don’t know what the hell we were thinking of to send him there.

  196. MG says:

    it’s in my blood

    Send me an invite

    Costas

I agree should have gone to Wolves or something…

Anyway folks’ that’s me for the night

Wherever you all are stay United

    19

  197. It's in my blood says:

    Costas

Warnock probably guaranteed him proper playing time i would think.

  198. Costas says:

    @It’s in my blood

Personally I wouldn’t have done business with Warnock in the first place. I don’t trust him. He did get sacked right after Kiko joined them, imo we should have sent him over to someone who we’ve worked with in the past. Like Martinez at Wigan.

    @MG

That would have meant working with Mick McCarthy. He’s even worse than Warnock. Goodnight.

  199. Costas says:

Can we call Kiko back from his loan deal? As things stand, he’s better off playing in Reserves games for us.

  200. North Stand Tier 2 says:

I’ll be the first to admit that after the first half of the season I had serious doubts about him, and wasn’t afraid to voice those opinions. After the last month and a half he has really started to show his quality with some excellent saves.

I still stand by the fact that until the last month, over the season he had made plenty of saves he “should” have made, but had made some serious fuck ups too. In the last month though, he has made a few saves that he “shouldn’t” have made (starting with the Mata freekick) and hasn’t made any errors that have cost goals.

I still think he is VERY susceptible to errors from crosses, especially at corners when people can get in and around him, but he is young, and will improve in that sense.

Hopefully his confidence will stay high for the rest of the season, and he will continue with his great form.

  201. Phil Jones' Birdshit Streaks says:

Costas – I get the impression that Warnock would have played him. Now that sour face Hughes is there, I wouldn’t be surprised if he refuses to pick him just to spite Fergie. I used to love Sparky when he played for us. Him and McClair up front were awesome. Ever since he went into management though, I can’t stand the prick. His reaction to Martin Jol last week were just even more proof of how much of a cunt he is. I hope QPR go down.

  202. FletchTHEMAN says:

Congratulations to Sir Alex as he reaches another mile stone v Spurs.

As the lads take the field, Sir Alex will break Matt Busby’s record league matches coached.
Tomorrows match is the 986th league match for Sir Alex.

Bring it on! Nothing less than 3 points! Get in you reds.

  203. dannysoya says:

I am hoping to see one improvement tomorrow from the boys. That is in the aspect of SET PIECES. We really need to step up our set pieces and our crosses. Nani and Ashley Young need to make sure that they put at least 70% of their crosses on target so that we can stretch the field tomorrow. COME ONNN UNITEDDD!!! WE ARE WINNING TODAY!!!

  204. JC says:

We need to get this guy in to have a “talk” with Pogba…

At least now we know where Suarez received his sensitivity training…

  206. dannysoya says:

LMFAOOO JC. excellent post. Now we know what Suarez meant.

  207. CedarsDevil says:

    soren

Happy birthday my darling, enjoy your day and I hope United will give more reasons to celebrate..

    Morning all

Come ON UNITED! Really looking forward to this

  208. brett1985 says:

    So todays game.

If we can win we have a good chance of piling the pressure on Manchester City over the next weeks. The fixtures become a lot easier on paper and we will only have ourselves to blame if points are dropped.

    West Brom Home
    Wolves Away
    Fulham Home
    Blackburn Away
    QPR Home
    Wigan Away
    Villa Home
    Everton Home

    then

    City Away
    Swansea Home
    Sunderland Away

Though we still have to win the games and take them one game at a time I’d say that after Spurs we have 8 games in a row which are very very winnable. I mean even if we happened to be playing West Brom or Everton away you could see a couple of draws in there but all the games are perfectly setup.

So let’s put a poor Spurs side to the sword as we should and that will set us up for a good run of wins. Not as if we have a choice now- is it?

  209. mufcmyreligion says:

    Good Morning RoM!!

Cant sleep any more, too excited about today’s game. Need 3 points today, its a must! Citeh will know if we get the 3 points they will be against it as the remaining fixtures look like there in our favour, all though we still need to turn up to those games and get 3 points. Spurs definitely biggest game/test of the season so far!

Off topic, I have a feeling if RVP does decide to leave Arsenal then Fergie will be interested, not saying we’ll get him cuz if Real or Barca come calling he may want a change of league but if he stays in England I see us a real possibility. Wont go Chelsea, Spurs, or Liverpool and think he’s got enough class to not do a Nasri and go council house.

    Wishful thinking?? You never know………………..

  210. CedarsDevil says:

Read somewhere this morning (Might have been Sky) that the defeat to Arsenal has put a serious dent in the dippers top four finish aspirations! Really? Was there ever any hope in the first place?

    Brett

Whilst those fixtures are winnable on paper at least, we cannot take any team for granted. We lost away at Wolves last season. Our away form has been excellent but like you say we should just take it one game at a time

  211. Costas says:

@Phil Jones’ Birdshit Streaks (Or plain Birdshit, lol)

Completely agree about Hughes. I have nothing but respect for him as a player (he was one of our best strikers), but as a manager, he’s acted like a dick one time too many. He’s so bitter about certain stuff that he actually sided with Tevez during his bust up with Mancini.

Anyway, I guess it’s fait to say that Warnock had bigger plans for Macheda as opposed to Hughes. And this is where I’d blame the QPR board more than Hughes. When you cut a deal with another club (much less Man United) about taking one of their youngsters on loan, you don’t go and buy 2 more strikers on the final day of the transfer window. Either the QPR board should have told Hughes that they would only buy one more striker or they should have cancelled the loan move. Now Macheda has lost 6 more months of progress because QPR couldn’t get their shit together.

  212. CedarsDevil says:

    mufcmyreligion

Good morning! On RvP I have had those wish full thoughts for a long time my friend!

In all honesty I cannot see it happening, if he does decide to leave then its either to Spain or Italy

  213. mufcmyreligion says:

    @Cedars

Thought my post would get a reaction from you, lol!! I agree with you but after the past few seasons shock transfers, Nasri to Citeh, Torres to Chelsea etc, you never know!! It would me fair and moral though for a player in today’s generation to stay and reward a club like Arsenal and a manager like Wenger by signing a extension and honestly I hope he does. Like you Cedars I have alot of admiration for RVP and its cuz of the way hes handled himself with the contract scenario and his behavior towards the gunners fans, true professional and in having said that I can see him signing a contract extension or plying his trade abroad.

Off topic, taking nothing away from RVP’s second goal yesterday but I thought Reina could have done better, but no mention of that by the media or the pundits/commentators following the game???? If that was DDG the media/pundits would be saying he got beat to easy at his near post and that hes at fault again! Its stuff like this that reminds how many ABU’s are out there!

  214. Mikekelly12 says:

    Morning fuck bags
Brett – Blackburn at home! Just saying! All games now require bottle! We’ve seen two sides to United this season, I hope and prey we see the United that gets me almost falling out of tier 2 with joy!

  215. CedarsDevil says:

    mufcmyreligion

You know how to touch my heart! ha ha

You have a point on the media reaction, De Gea would have been slaughtered, but like you say take nothing away from the finish… To hit the ball like that on the volley takes some skill…

Right then, enough on RvP etc, we have a match to win and I cannot wait!

    Come ON UNITED

  216. sachu says:

    hi good morning

If we play against any team like we did vs Blackburn at home then we don’t deserve to win the league. Yet, we have got to the last game in a tough run of recent fixtures which has included Chelsea Arsenal Norwich (away) Liverpool and Spurs. We’ve done well considering we’ve also had to deal with City/Liverpool in the cup and Ajax.

It all makes todays game so important. A win away to Spurs would be a massive boost. We should be putting away a medicore outfit like spurs but it just depends which united side turns up- like you say. At this stage it’s got to be our A game or else we don’t really deserve to win the league.

  222. Arjunited says:

  226. mufcmyreligion says:

To remind you all why we need Rooney back today:

When Wayne Rooney does not play, Manchester United have managed to win only 25% of their Premier League matches this season, as compared to a staggering 80% when he plays. When comparing total matches played this season (including internationals), Rooney has a better a better conversion rate (56%) than any other striker including Robin van Persie (41%). He also completes almost twice as many passes (697) as compared to the his nearest competitor – van Persie (370), and creates more chances from open play (25 per match) than any other striker. Comparing his shooting, again, he has the highest shot accuracy among the top-five scorers in the league, but has slightly less shots on target that van Persie.

  227. CedarsDevil says:

    James!

Finally some life to the blog on match day…. Whats up bitch? ha ha

Great bit of historical stat there mate…. Still sends shivers down the spine that Jones was born on the same date that Edwards passed away

  228. James21 says:

Fucking Hell just froze over. Utd and Carrick just got credit on Sunday supplement and they tipped us to win.

    MUFC
Rooney is playing. Anyone can clearly see what impact WR10 has on our team. The guy is a fantastic footballer and can win games on his own.

  229. CedarsDevil says:

Do not get all the hype on Rooney to be honest…. Just like De Gea, Carrick, Evans and the Twins way over rated….. Our squad is shit…

We are doomed I tell ya, doomed

  230. James21 says:

    DDG on Brad Friedel
I always valued his work and had heard good things about his performances both in the Premier League and with the USA. I’ve watched him on video because it is always interesting to compare yourself to other keepers.
He is excellent in 1 on 1 situations and also when faced with free-kicks.
Watching him makes me want to play for UTD at 40. Thats not easy and Friedel deserves credit still to be paying.

    Friedel on DDG
WHAT I’ve liked about him is he’s made some big saves in crucial games. He got alot of stick when he came over here so I think people need to start giving him some credit.
Its not easy being 21 with an £18.5 Million price tag on your head, making a mistake or two trying to replace Edwin Van Der Sar and still having the Shadow of Schmeichel at the club. Everyone’s going to make comparisons when you play for Utd, you need results yesterday.

Friedel sums it up quite well. I think alot of fans, including fans on here, have been very unfair on DDG
SAF rates him highly and I personally hope he does want to stay at Utd and play for a very long time.

Also always liked Friedel he’s a work horse between the posts and can be very hard to beat as Utd have found in the past. Hope he has an off day today.

    COME ON REDS!

Bitches, getting stoked up, and raring to go, huh? Let’s go show them a little bit of Red Terror on the pitch tonight.

Very happy for DDG. Seems to be coming along nicely. Stepping up his game, and in consequence. his confidence, in the absence of Lindy. I had expressed concern (more like saying Lindegaard might be the better option) but am happy to eat crow all day long if this boy keeps up his performance.

@James: Friedel is quality, mate – you gotta admit. I remember some of the saves he made against us – 2 seasons back at Goodison comes to mind. Outstretched hyper-extended leg like a dosed spider and all. Always has a stormer against us, I hope not tonight.

  240. Mikekelly12 says:

If Abramovich believes sacking AVB and replacing him with the FSW is the way to go, then he obviously has learned fuck all in his 9 years at Chelsea.

I am not a fan of Boas, but more than anything, Chelsea’s problem is the Terry-Lampard clique. As long as they are calling the shots, that team is doomed to go from manager to manager.

What fucking what? Fuck off Rob Smyth, we’re THE united and will not be bullied by anyone Fuck off Newcastle, you’re in a false position and your Manager is a fucking Charlatan and Landin wannabe Mafia have done a ‘Get Carter’ on you. 19. - Firstly, he says the FA face a backlash if they don’t Arry.
    - England,FA & Arry are the perfect match. It is an inevitable.
    - The directors of Spurs should be worried.
    - The players could be affected ( Of course, this is SAF being ruthlessly tactical ahead of the game).

Earlier on in the week, he compared Modric to Scholes. Perhaps SAF is going after 2 birds and 1 stone. Knock Spurs out of their slight rise to fame and also to unsettle a certain Luka Modric.

Modric has always been linked to United. His future is dependant on Arry. He’s yet to sign another contract, until he is certain of the future of Tottenham (CL footy) & Arry’s job. Just a theory but I think, our manager wants Arry out the Spurs Frame, so its easier for him to pinch a Spurs boy once again.
Think about it, Modric & Co will feel rejected, sad and unsettled to see Arry go. Spurs looking certain to be decline afterwards & their big names still attracting attention. The big names will look to jump ship to further their career after losing their “mentor”.

With only Daniel Levy in the way (stingy cunt), United,Chelsea,City,Real,Barca,Bayern, Milan, PSG,Anzhi will come swooping in to rescue someone like Bale,Modric,Van der Vaart,Walker,Kaboul, Sandro etc.

I reckon SAF is trying to stay two steps ahead of everyone else, its an opening he can’t refuse to take advantage of. Also its great MiNd GaMeS, to fuck up their preparation for this important tie today.

  255. Costas says:

xol substituting for King Eric today? :D

Newcastle were unbelievably lucky at Old Trafford. Credit to them, they took the game to us at St James’ and they were the better side. (Most people forget that Danny Simpson made another Baresi like block in that game too!). But they are not as good as the games against us showed. I just hope they’ll have something to play for on the penultimate game of the season, because we will need them to stop City.

  256. James21 says:

AVB sacked at Chelscum. De mattio takes over til the end of the season. :D

  257. TonyBee says:

Clint….still feel Modric wont suit us,,,he is too lightweight for my liking

  258. Costas says:

AVB gone. At least a new manager could mean some sort of short term improvement. Maybe now they will get something at the Emptihad.

  259. James21 says:

  268. TonyBee says:

    first sacking gag…….

The news of Andre Villas Boas being sacked by Chelsea have signalled the beginning of the end of Chelsea’s 8 year history.

  269. Mikekelly12 says:

Chelsea signed Torres for £50m and earns over £100k per week. AVB was signed for £15m and was on £8m per year…. I know who I’d have got rid of!

  270. James21 says:

    M19ke
Let them keep Torres, he’s good for a Laugh.

  271. TonyBee says:

A van driver used to amuse himself by running over every Chelsea fan he would see strutting down the side of the road in their ubiquitous blue colours. He would swerve to hit them and there would be a loud “THUMP” and then he would swerve back on the road. One day, as the driver was driving along, he saw a priest hitchhiking. He thought he would do a good turn and pulled the van over.

He asked the Priest “where are you going, Father?”,

“I’m going to say mass at St. Joseph’s church, about 2 miles down the road” replied the priest.

“No problem Father! I’ll give you a lift”!

The happy priest climbed into the passenger seat and the van continued down the road. Suddenly the driver saw a Chelsea fan walking down the road and instinctively swerved to hit him. But, just in time, he remembered the bloody priest, so at the last minute he swerved back to the road, narrowly missing the rentboy bastard. However even though he was certain he missed the glory-hunting shite, he still heard a loud “THUD.” Not understanding where the noise came from, he glanced in his mirrors and when he didn’t see anything he turned to the priest and said

“I’m sorry Father, I almost hit that Chelsea fan,

“That’s okay” replied the priest. “I got the fucker with the door!”

  272. Clint-iamyourpapii says:
