Diouf Sold To Hannover

Reports this morning suggested that Mame Biram Diouf has agreed a loan move to Hannover, however, it has been confirmed that he has signed a two and a half year deal.

German site, Kicker, reported that he passed his medical this morning and is ready for a permanent move for around £1.5m. Hannover are currently 7th in the league, 10 points behind Bayern Munich, having scored just 21 goals in 19 games.

“I am happy that with Mame Diouf we have another alternative up front,” said Hannover coach, Mirko Slomka. “We need to bring him in fast so he can help us in the Bundesliga and the Europa League.”

Good luck to the lad if thats the case, he was never looking like breaking into the first team.

How much did we loose on that real?

The number of busts United and SAF have invested in Are beginning to pile.

A mistake to buy him in the first place… was never gonna be good enough

Good luck to the lad, but I can’t really understand why he was bought in the first place.

3.5 million he cost. Not a huge gamble. Never looked likely to make it. Much like Obertan. Good players, but just not United standard. Good luck anyway!

  8. AlphaRS says:

Too many fringe players who are never gonna make it at United. This was one of them.
    Best of luck to him.
Can really see the point of keeping players at the club who very very very rarely get a game. It’s a waste for the player and a waste for the club on wages.
Perhaps United will let go of Owen next?

  9. five says:

I think Owens worth keeping around, he was pretty useful in guiding us through league cup matches in past seasons and having him around the training pitch certainly helps the likes of Hernandez,Welbeck,Keane?

The business of football churns onward. I hope it turns out well for both Hannover and Diouf. Best of luck.
