I am a bit disappointed that Ashton has signed the long-term contract contract, it only means if United do end up having to look his way it becomes a protracted, more expensive affair, I say that because I don't think he'll be at West Ham beyond next season, he's far too good for the like of them. Having said that he is a decent striker, able to hold up the ball and would be thus someone Rooney and other wingers/strikers could play off of.
