I don’t prefer Vida or Rio over the other, I think they’re both really talented, and they have a wonderful partnership. I didn’t like Rio at the beginning (I thought he was WAY overpriced) but he’s been playing with his heart for the past few seasons, and now I wouldn’t resent him as captain one bit.

personally i have forgotton all about his contract issues, for one plain simple fact… the guy loves playing for united, while it may have taken him a while to realise hes done just that and i would be proud to call him uniteds captain – in fact i do even tho giggs sometimes has the armband!

people may say “but you should realise what a big club you are playing for when you get here!” but i ask you if you were a quality player playing for barca and you were always a united fan wouldnt you need a little time to realise what a grand old club you are already at?

I love Rio, I was angry when he stalled on a contract but he’s good and he knows it, I prefer him to Vidic, Rio is far more talented, he’s faster too which is useful. Carvalho and Terry are the poor mans Rio and Vidic.
