What I was on about then was the need for variety in the attackers, which is especially apparent when Berbatov and Rooney revert to dropping deep. Plus, in many games the opposition are pinned in their end so the need for a fox-in-the-box AND a bulldozer seems to come to the fore. I doubt that Kenwyne Jones would be available for less than twenty-five or thirty million pounds - and that's waaaaay too much for "an alternative". Right now, I'd be much, much, much more willing to investigate purchasing Emile Ivanhoe Heskey's availability. I thought it was a mistake not to take of punt on him last winter when Aston Villa got him for three or four million. He's not playing full-time for them now - because TheGiantNorwegian, John Carew, seems to be the chosen partner for Gabby Agbonlahor - so I would think that he'd be a useful stop-gap complement to Rooney/Berbatov and he has played a lot with LittleMikey, too. After all, any players anywhere on the pitch after their first decent run in a team wont be perfect and without faults.
