Bring on ARTUR BORUC, Celtic's charismatic keeper!!!
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/oct/07/football-transfer-rumours-rafael-benitez-portsmouth

That would be top hit and probably not too expensive. What do you think?

King Eric @ 11:18 - YOU may think that you "laughed me off the blog" but I'd never agree with that !

What I was on about then was the need for variety in the attackers, which is especially apparent when Berbatov and Rooney revert to dropping deep. Plus, in many games the opposition are pinned in their end so the need for a fox-in-the-box AND a bulldozer seems to come to the fore. I doubt that Kenwyne Jones would be available for less than twenty-five or thirty million pounds - and that's waaaaay too much for "an alternative".

Right now, I'd be much, much, much more willing to investigate purchasing Emile Ivanhoe Heskey's availability. I thought it was a mistake not to take of punt on him last winter when Aston Villa got him for three or four million. He's not playing full-time for them now - because TheGiantNorwegian, John Carew, seems to be the chosen partner for Gabby Agbonlahor - so I would think that he'd be a useful stop-gap complement to Rooney/Berbatov and he has played a lot with LittleMikey, too.

In any event, lets keep up the banter and cross-commentary. I learn a lot from you.

Everyone can see Foster has had a bad run, fuck up after fuck up, but i still believe now with him in the stands for a while and the pressure being off he watch and what he should be during each time and will be able to watch what VDS does during games in his decision making and positionoing, i think he should still be given 1 more chance after watching VDS to see if he can improve, if he cant improve his decision making now (i still think he is good shot stopper & has good reflexes) after this thats the end, im hoping these mistakes can make him better for the future.
After all, any players anywhere on the pitch after their first decent run in a team wont be perfect and without faults.

Ive been a supporter of foster since the start of the season but he's making to many mistakes at the minute. I still think he can become a great keeper, just not at united. Never mind kenwyne jones id rather ave bent any day of the week.

Costas - I think rotating the keepers would be disastous mate. As long as Edwin is fit play him. We won't have him around much longer. He will probably get injuries then the other two can have another go. perhaps a run in the Carling and FA Cups though.

denton - I remember you saying United should go for Owen and Jones. I laughed you off the blog!!

As for Valencia give him some time. I am happy with him so far and I have seen him use his left foot a few times. People expect world beaters after 8 games.

having a keeper like Foster who is low on cofidence inspires opposition attackers to have a crack at our goals, and that is nothing short of blaspehmous.

I wanted him to succeed, I really did, because it will save us having to fork out £20 million for a decent keeper, and i'd like to think that he still has time to prove he can make it at United, be he has a lot of hard work to do.
