Two trips to Wembley. Two stonewall penalty called turned away. In the League Cup final this year Cristiano Ronaldo was fouled in the area and booked for diving. In the FA Cup semi-final, Welbeck had beaten the keeper and was brought down by Jagielka and nothing was given.
I wonder how much longer the myth that United get all the decisions will continue.
David Moyes was honest enough to admit we should have been given a penalty yesterday.
“My first thought was it looked a penalty,” said Moyes. “After looking at it again, if it had been me as the manager, I would have been shouting for it.”

Man Utd News 24/7

well played mr moyes
Honest man. Hope they beat Chelsea in the finals, I’d much rather they win it.
Moyes is a coward quite frankly. When you bitch and complain for a week,at least have the balls to say that Riley might have been influnced.Funny how all the media cunts focus on SAF’s arrogance and contempt about the “The greatest cup in the world” rather than this.
Some news from Fergie.Fletch and Rooney are ok for Wednesday but Carrick could be a close call(yes they were injured media cunts).Rest Carrick i say.Fletch and Scholes han handle Pompey.
Did my usual stat searching.Ever since the Wigan game last year,we have won only one penalty away from Old Trafford this season: At Southampton!Weird huh?
We brought it on ourselves yesterday…team selection was awful… we wasnt up for it..
Thought Macheda did well… Rio & Vida awesome… the Da Silva twins did good..
Ando did ok…
Apart from that wasnt too impressed…
I aint a Welbeck fan as you all know….. and he did look like a 5 year old kid lost in the Arndale Shopping Centre… just looked lost and out of it.. and as if his legs were gonna buckle..
Evra did well when he came on.. but as for Berbatov… that penalty pretty much summed his season up for me… Lazy, uncommitted, and drab..
I just hope, and pray that this does not come to bite us on the bum…
I know we have to rest players… and i know that the PL and EC are the biggies… but… semi finals of the FA Cup…and all them poor buggars who travelled down there… (i very nearly did as well, but changed my mind)… just thought it was a bit dodgy of SAF to do what he did…
Dont get me wrong, if we had won.. then SAF would be dubbed a genius again by the media… but i dont care about the media… i care about the fans… and what we was treated to yesterday was appalling.. plus ive been coppin it from the blue nose twats all yesterday afternoon and today in work..
I still think we got tactics wrong… really wrong… why play Welbeck on the left… coz his tracking back was awful, and cannot remember him putting a tackle in all day… then there was his lack of crossing ability…yet, he got the go ahead of a left sided winger in Nani…
I know that Nani wouldnt track back… but Nani is an international player…and in my eyes even though hasnt done much this season, is by far a better player than welbeck…. who is a forward and right footed… just found the whole tactics bizarre… and i just feel sorry for the poor buggars that took there kids etc, with the tickets travel food etc etc to watch the reserves… thought it was disrespectful to the United faithful..
Another thing as well while im ranting… just what the fuckin ell does Mike Phelan do on that bench… i would like to know what input he has on that team, coz he never opens his fuckin mouth… was a shite player, and is a shite coach, and this is another reason why we havent been at our best…
Right i have had my rant and moan…. time to move on… and get a convincing win against Pompey on Weds…
FailsworthDevil brought up a good point. As much as i liked seeing the kids give a good acocunt of themselves,i really sympathize for all our fellow United supporters who made the trip. They will have been gutted but i guess SAF had to think about the safety of his own players first.I wasn’t impressed with Danny on the left either.Nani migth have been kept fresh for Wednesday but we needed him a lot more than Danny out there.
Heard a United fan from “Kent” on talksport this morning saying how he was gonna give up his season ticket as he feels let down by Sir Alex. Can see how people felt travelling down but at the end of the day the team he picked are still United players. Guess some “fans” only want to see Ronnie and Rooney play.
Costas – Did we really expect owt else from the ABU media? Fuck em.
Damn right Costa’s mate… im all for the kids coming through… im always ranting on about it…. but there has to be more of a mix… purely not playing youngsters out of position in such a high profile game.. firstly it isnt fair on the youngsters as it puts added pressure onto them… and secondly it isnt fair on the faithful that spent a lot of money and gave up the time to travel to Wembley (even though every united fan should have boycotted wembley as it was farcical to have 2 NW teams playing there).
The who balance was wrong… we needed a stronger midfield yesterday..
Dont get me wrong.. thought Ando and Gibson did well.. but park is the asian version of forest gump… will run and run and run and run… but gives not a lot else… and Welbeck, well the kid just looked lost… and even though i dont rate him… i actually felt sorry for him a little..
Could have done with at least 1 old head in that midfield yesterday… and like i said he should have played Nani on the left… and could have got away with Welbeck on the right.. coz that is the only game i have seen him play well in… was the Spurts game in the cup… where he did play wide right.
KIng Eric pal… they are valid comments mate… yes they are all United players… and yes support any of them that plays… after all its the result we want… i wouldnt care if Nora Batty played for us… if she scored the goals to win us the game..
But…………..an FA Cup Semi Final??…. playing the team what he did… it was a little disrespectful to the fans, the cup… and even to some of the 1st team regs… who wanted to win the whole lot…
I just feel that with the team and tactics yesterday, we threw a fantastic opportunity to win the FA Cup again… and that bugs me more than anything… coz if the FA Cup wasnt important, we might as well have gone out in the early stages… coz from each round every fan who has a season ticket at OT has had to buy the FA Cup tickets… again more expense…..
SAF should pay the fans back the money the spent travelling all the way to Wembley. Or sponsor their travel to the CL final and pay for the tickets too.
“coz from each round every fan who has a season ticket at OT has had to buy the FA Cup tickets… again more expense…..”
Failsworth mate – Yeah fair enough, I can see your point on that one. It is annoying like you say because with even just a couple more “first teamers” we could have done Everton 2 or 3 nil probably. I don’t honestly think though that any of the regulars would be too upset as I am sure they too will be proud what the young uns did.
Moyes is a cunt for saying what he said about the ref, purely based on the fact that all Fergie ever does is sing his praises. The wanker should learn to show some mutual respect, especially to someone who is a knight. If it was Box Bearded Cunt or Paedo saying those things, then I wouldn’t think too much into it – I would consider that tit for tat with regards to mind games.
Plus points from yesterday:
1. The solid and assured performance of Vida and Rio – look solid again which bodes well for the rest of the season.
2. Macheda looked very good yesterday. My only criticism is that he should of been a bit more single minded when through on goal, instead of looking to play in Welbeck all the time – both of whom look to have a good understanding. Future looks good with Macheda.
3. Foster had another assured performance yesterday, well with the exception of that one moment of madness when Saha nearly nicked the ball of him. Superb kicking and distribution, as well as commanding his area. I can see him getting a few more games next season.
4. Anderson back to what he was showing last season. Hopefully shit on Fabregas when we play the Arseholes in Europe.
5. The twins were brilliant yesterday, and offered us a threat going forward. A piece of majestic brilliance from Fabio when he spun and chested the ball away before making a run down the flank. The boy certainly oozes confidence. The future looks bright with twins offering us options at Full-Back.
6. Gibson had a good performance in the centre of midfield.
Disappointed to lose at this stage, but the performance of the youngsters definitely gives us something to look forward to. Well done lads.
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! No penalty from Mr. Riley after the Moyes labeling….. but the sad thing is Scott people will forget about this and will still remember the bolton penalty for years to come…….
After this sad FA Cup episode I hope Everton go on and beat Chelsea in the final on penalties!
Depends on how he said it, I s’pose.
I find it highly unlikely he said it with a smirk and a grin, ’cause that’s just not Moyes’ character. If he did, then fuck him.
Otherwise, fair play, at least like Jags he had the balls to admit it.
we have bigger fish to fry. if i was fergie and had a subsitutions left, i would have pulled either vida or rio off before extra time to give some more rest before the final push. there was no reason to have either of them on that shitty pitch and risk an injury. the fa screw us over by having us play in london, we screw them back by putting out a third string. in all honesty, the players that were out there could have beaten everton 3-0 if it wasn’t for missing chances and bad luck. yes, the fa cup would have been nice but 5 trophies in one season is a pipe dream. stick to what matters more, the league and europe. would you all rather have rooney and ronnie busting their balls out there for 120 min and then playing on wednesday? portsmouth would take a shit on us. it all comes down to what is more important to indivisual fans i guess. to me, the league and europe ranks much higher than the fa cup ever will.
the greatest cup in the world? really???
Primachenko – Don’t think you will have too many United fans arguing with that.
yeah, got a little too emotional on that one but had to get it out.
Kings: “Gibson had a good performance in the centre of midfield.”
Agreed. He played a nice, neat, “tidy” game. And he has a thunderbolt for a shot. I’d like to see some aggression in his game but he seems to be surprising me in that my first impressions weren’t that favourable but he’s just doing better-and-better. Given his versatility, I’m thinking that he’s going to dislodge ThreeLungPark for the role of the third role player – along with O’Shea and Fletcherinho. These guys are incredibly valuable in a long, long season and it’s not much of a knock on Gibson to say that he has the makings of a squaddie. I still don’t think he’s got the makings of a MidfieldMonster. He won’t replace Daniele di Rossi in my affections.
denton davey – Yeah I have to admit I wasn’t really a fan of Gibson to start with. His last few games however he has steadily improved. I thought he was solid yesterday and did his job well protecting the back four. Like you say a decent squad player.
On Moyes and Riley, he was very cunning and clever how he put the smear out . He claimed that a journalist had asked him if Riley was a ‘United fan’. No-one has asked who this journalist was and no-one has stood up and claimed to be that journalist or said it was their question to Moyes. It’s an old spin-doctor’s trick, to claim ‘people are asking’ and then you put out the answer you want to have its effect. It’s a certainty that this journalist never existed, and it’s sadly the case that most journalists must have known that, using these black arts of spin themselves all the time. I would have liked just one hack to stand up and ask Moyes, ‘OK, who asked you this question about Moyes, and what the basis of their defamatory claim about Riley being a United fan’. No-one asked because none of them believed it, but they liked to put pressure on United. And the thing is, it worked. Riley is a weak little man. NO guts to come out and say, this is just bollocks. Then come the day he bottled it, ‘Oooh, mustn’t let anyone think I’m a United fan, ooh, I know I’ll be bloody popular for the first time in my life, by denying United a stonewall penalty, ooh mustn’t blow my little whistle, ooh I’ll just wave the claims away and look all strong and manly…’ What a wanker.
Oh and yes, Gibson’s getting better and better. All great United teams have a strong Irish presence, so this bodes well for the future. Begorrah.
Giles-’Oooh, mustn’t let anyone think I’m a United fan, ooh, I know I’ll be bloody popular for the first time in my life, by denying United a stonewall penalty, ooh mustn’t blow my little whistle, ooh I’ll just wave the claims away and look all strong and manly…’ What a wanker.
That’s too bloody funny.
