Patrice Evra has confessed that he is on the receiving end of some piss taking after he rinsed his English United team-mates for failing to qualify for Euro 2008.

With Darren Fletcher’s Scotland missing out on the World Cup, Evra has revealed how Fletch tells him they will be spending the summer together, after France fail to beat Ireland in the qualifier.

“These last few days at United have been difficult,” said Evra. “John O’Shea has promised me it will be hell at Croke Park. I have had the mickey taken out of me a lot. It’s normal, as when England failed to make Euro 2008 I asked my English team-mates if they wanted a remote control to switch between games on TV. Now it’s started once more. Darren Fletcher, who plays for Scotland, tells me we’ll spend the summer together. The joking has to stop now. We have to qualify. It has become an obsession. I have never given such priority to the national team as I have done over the last few months.”
